Chrom sighed. After the exhausting battle, he wanted nothing more than to collapse into bed, preferably with Reflet, and sleep for at least an hour.

There was also the matter of checking in on Emmeryn, Lissa, and the rest of the Shepherds to make sure everyone was safe.

Instead, he was forced to watch and wait as Reflet tried to help a few Plegian soldiers calm down a Pegasus.

They had been on their way to find Emmeryn when they'd come across the soldiers and the animal. Apparently, the Pegasus's rider had been a Plegian Dark Flier who died in the fighting, and her black steed had been spooked and was lashing out.

When the Plegians had explained that, Reflet had gotten a gleam in her eyes like when she was planning something, and Chrom knew his long day was about to get even longer.

As Chrom watched, a shadow passed overhead, and Sumia landed next to Chrom on her own Pegasus.

"Hello, Captain," she said in greeting. "Frederick asked me to come and find you. Um, what are you doing out here?"

"I wish that I knew, Sumia," Chrom replied. "It seems that Reflet is determined to tame that Pegasus, though. Almost reminds me of how you met yours, actually."

Sumia re-examined the situation and nodded. "I can see that now," she said. "Do you think I should try to help? Someone might get hurt if they continue like this."

"Probably," Chrom agreed. "I'd like to get back to everyone as soon as possible, so any help you can provide to make this end sooner would be appreciated."

Sumia nodded. "You can count on me, Captain!" she said as she dismounted.

Chrom continued to watch as Sumia approached and suggested the men stop crowding the animal, which seemed to placate it, if only a little. Then, Sumia stood behind Reflet and guided her forward, instructing her to speak softly and slowly to show the Pegasus she meant no harm.

Amazingly, it worked. Once again, Chrom was impressed by Sumia's ability to connect with animals. The Plegian soldiers applauded and laughed, congratulating them.

"You take Pegasus?" One of them asked. Apparently, his Ylissean wasn't very good.

"Would that be alright?" Reflet asked excitedly. It reminded Chrom of when they were kids, and Reflet's mother had just taught her a new magic trick.

"Yes," The Plegian soldier confirmed. "Pegasus not like men. We have no use. And he like you."

Reflet smiled. "Thank you! I promise he's in good hands!"

The soldiers waved goodbye and left to find their own companions, while Reflet and Sumia returned to where Chrom was standing.

"Are we done yet?" Chrom asked, feeling impatient.

Reflet laughed. "Yes, you sourpuss," she said. "Let's go and find your sister."
