Pietro meets his new baby sister

Alessio practically had to beg Bianca to let him hold their newborn daughter.

"She's beautiful..." he whispered, smiling warmly as he stroked his wife's face. "Just like you, amore mio."

"Ale, are you crying?" Bianca laughed tiredly.

Alessio wiped his eyes. "I'm not crying. It's liquid pride; it's different. But I'd be very grateful if you don't mention it to anyone." he quickly whispered. "I got a reputation to keep amongst the subordinates."

Bianca rolled her eyes with a small smile. "If you say so, love..."

Despite her best attempts at staying awake, Bianca drifted off to sleep. Shortly after, Alessio kissed her forehead and pulled up the duvet to keep her warm.

With his wife asleep for the time being, he went back to enjoying his baby girl. His bambina. As he cradled the little dolphin in his arms, he took in every little detail. She smelled like the sea. His finger toyed with the only curl of dark hair on Giulia's head as he sat on the couch. Her tiny fingers grasped unto it. Alessio smiled warmly.

"Hello, mia bambina."

His voice seemed to trigger something. Giulia wiggled slightly and slowly cracked her eyelids open. Her eyes were just like her mother's.

"Papa?"

Alessio reluctantly lifted his gaze and looked at the door. Pietro was peeking at the door. Smiling, he gestured to his son to keep his voice down. His mother was exhausted and needed rest. The pup noticed the little bundle of pink in his arms.

"Figlio... Come meet your sister."

Pietro approached slowly, eyes never straying from the baby. Alessio let him climb unto his lap. Giulia's attention shifted from her father to Pietro when he leaned in as much as possible.

"Say hello to Giulia," Alessio whispered tenderly. "You're her big brother. And you must always look after her."

"Hi, Giulia." The little dolphin reached out and grabbed Pietro's nose, giggling. "Look, papa! She likes me!"

"She likes you, indeed." Alessio chuckled. "Keep your voice down, Pietro. Your mother needs rest."
