Naruto was sitting at a dinner party at home, to which important members of the city's elite were invited. Among them was Malcolm Merlin. Tommy's father and Naruto and Oliver's godfather.
He did not like such dinners, but since in the near future he will be running a huge company, he should get used to them. The guests began to discuss the vigilante who appeared in their city.
"I suggest we stop calling him the hood or the guy in the hood." - Naruto suggested, which made everyone laugh a little, since they also considered it a funny nickname.
"I agree." - Malcolm Merlin replied. – "Maybe a black arrow or a swordsman?"
"Too corny." - Naruto replied. They continued the conversation, but soon an officer approached the chief of police and said something to him in a whisper. The Chief of Police got up from the table and said he had to go because Adam Hunt was there. Naruto was very surprised by this, but did not show it.
Naruto's lair.
Naruto sat at the computer and studied the data on Hunt's autopsy. Naruto was well versed in computers, but he needed the best specialist. But so far, he could not attract her to his campaign.
Lyla was on a mission to reconcile Thea and Helena. Thea listened to Helena and decided to give her a chance. Both girls decided to get to know each other better, and Lyla was watching them secretly.
Naruto studied photos of arrow wounds on Hunt's body and could tell that the shooter was a professional. Now he had to get at least one arrow to find out who made them and where.
A couple of hours later. Naruto's lair.
Naruto connected to the cameras in the police office and watched as the courier brought a package for detective Lance. After Quentin took out his phone, Naruto called him. The detective answered the call.
"Lance."
"I didn't kill Adam Hunt." - replied a demonic voice that the detective recognized.
"You..."
"You told the commissioner that you were dealing with a copycat. I will be happy to deal with him." - Naruto replied. - "But I need help. I need one of his arrows."
"We know how to find criminals ourselves." the detective replied.
"But not like me." Naruto replied. – "It is in our common interest to deal with this shooter. So when you're ready, call."
Naruto finished the call, and now he could only wait. And he was going to tackle the most important issue. Christmas party, or rather, its absence.
BBB
Naruto and Thea met at a diner.
"How are you doing with Helena?" - Naruto asked his sister.
"It's actually very good. As it turns out, we have a lot in common. I almost forgave her." - Thea replied, taking a sip of her milkshake.
"Almost?"
"Yes. We agreed that I would unexpectedly play her three times. At any moment, in any place." - Thea replied. - "How did you do it before."
"You want her to leave me so much." - Naruto asked.
"No," Thea replied, "it's a kind of test."
"By the way, where is she?"
"I went to a meeting about the sale of my father's business." - Thea replied. - "She said she didn't want anything to do with it."
"Okay. But there is another reason for this conversation. There will be no Christmas party. Right?" - asked Naruto. You're a little sad.
"You disappeared almost before Christmas, and my mom and I didn't want to celebrate. Next year, too, and the next, and so on." - Thea replied. – "Everything is fine."
"No. Not normal." - Naruto replied.
The Queen Estate.
It didn't take Naruto long to persuade his mom, sister, and stepfather to hold parties. And when everyone agreed, Naruto asked Thea and Walter to let him talk to his mom alone.
"Is something wrong, son?" - asked Moira solicitously.
"My girlfriend is coming to the party." - Naruto replied.
"A girl? When did you get a girlfriend?" - Moira was surprised, but also interested.
"Recently."
"And what's her name?"
"Helena Bertinelli."
"Frank's daughter? No."
"No?"
"You know who her father was!" - Moira replied sternly.
"She's not her father." - Naruto replied calmly.
This argument lasted about 20 minutes, after which Myra agreed to give Helena a chance.
An hour later, Detective Lance called Naruto back and told him where he could find the arrow in the evidence.
Naruto's lair.
Naruto was examining the arrow when Lyla and Helena came in.
"Did someone get a Christmas present?" - asked Helena.
"The tip is made of Teflon-coated titanium, which splits the bone. The shaft is made of a special polymer. It is stronger than ordinary carbon fiber. The arrow is made to order."
"Did the detective give up after finding another body from the mysterious shooter?" - asked Lyla.
"Nelson Revich." - replied Naruto.
"He's on your father's list." - Lyla said.
"He either wants to set me up or help me." - Naruto suggested. - "But we have to find him anyway."
Naruto walked into Felicity's office while she was on all fours and reconnecting the cables of her computer. Naruto didn't move and enjoyed the sight of her sexy ass in a black skirt.
"Felicity, you know that you don't have to do the computer setup yourself." - Naruto said, scaring his assistant a little.
"Believe me, I know better than anyone how to set it up." - Felicity replied, knowing that Naruto was staring at her ass. When she was done with the wiring, she sat down in her chair.
"I won't argue with a professional." - Naruto replied, taking the arrow out of the tube. – "A friend of mine got interested in shooting and archery, and I would like to give him some of these arrows, but I don't know where to buy them. He has them made to order, and I need to find out."
"A strange hobby, in light of recent events." - Felicity replied, took an arrow, and began punching it through the computer.
It didn't take Felicity long to find the information she needed. Later, she wrote all the necessary information on a piece of paper and gave it to Naruto.
"Thank you, Felicity. And with Hanukkah." - Naruto congratulated his assistant. Felicity was a little surprised that Naruto knew she was Jewish.
The Queen Estate.
Naruto and Helena were driving up to his mansion when he received the clone's memories. The address Felicity gave him led her to the second archer's secret lair, but there was a trap there. The clone managed to get out and then dispersed so that no one could see him.
The house inside was decorated, as it should be for this holiday, and many important and rich people were also invited. Naruto and Helena approached his family. Naruto introduced Helena to his family, after which Moira asked Helena to help her with something. Naruto got a little worried when his mom took his girlfriend away. Thea tried to support her brother.
They returned after 10 minutes, which seemed like an eternity to Naruto. But the most interesting thing was that Helena and Moira were talking and laughing like old friends. Naruto was puzzled, and he wanted to know what they were talking about. A little later, Laurel and Tommy came, whom Naruto also introduced to Helena. Thea watched from the sidelines and saw a flash of jealousy on Laurel's face, but she quickly hid it. Ever since Naruto and Lyla began to teach her, she began to notice such things.
Everything was fine until the moment when Lyla called Naruto to his room and turned on the TV. The second archer took people hostage and threatened to kill one hostage per hour.
Abandoned building
Police and reporters surrounded the building where the hostages were being held. And the first hour was already coming to an end.
Naruto and Helena flew on cables over the police and landed on the roof of the desired building. They quickly found the hostages, and Helena began to free them while Naruto looked around in search of an archer.
"Go up to the roof." - Naruto said to Helena and the hostages.
"What about..." - Helena wanted to ask.
"I'll deal with him." - He interrupted her. - "And then go back to the base."
"What? No! I'm going to help you beat him." - Helena argued.
"This guy was well-trained. I won't be able to fight him effectively if I worry about your safety. Please, baby." - Naruto said it seriously. Helena reluctantly agreed.
Helena took the hostages to the roof and then disappeared the same way she arrived here.
"Thank you for coming." - Dark Archer said. His voice was modulated, so Naruto couldn't recognize it.
"What do you want from me?" - Naruto asked.
"What any archer wants is to see who is better!" The Dark Archer replied. They started shooting at each other, but both dodged the arrows. Naruto ran into the room where the hostages used to be and climbed onto the steel beams under the ceiling. The Dark Archer carefully entered this room and began to move slowly so that he could hear Naruto's movement. He looked down at the broken glass on the floor and saw Naruto's reflection on the beams, who shot him. He quickly turned around, dodging an arrow that whistled past his head, and shot up at Naruto.
(to be honest, I am not a master of describing such battles, so everyone can imagine such a fight as he wants to see.)
Naruto's lair.
Naruto returned to the lair, where Lyla and Helena immediately approached him.
"I'm fine. Just a few cuts and a dislocated arm." - Naruto said, knowing that both women were worried about him.
"Don't you dare do that anymore." - Helena said as she prepared medical instruments for suturing.
"I can't promise anything." - Naruto answered honestly. - "Moreover, I know where he was trained."
"And where is it?" - Lyla asked.
"The League of Assassins." - replied Naruto.
