Hey guys, I am back with another chapter of 'Rise of the Pheonix'. First of all I am so sorry for the delay, as I told last time I just got into college so... but now since I've got free time I uploaded this chapter. This chapter won't be focusing on Kai but it's really necessary for future events so. it's longer than previous chapters but you know I wanted wrap it up in single chapter. A week before Hiro's Trial

After Tyson's tie with Brooklyn, Team Bega and people involved in Bega conspiracy were arrested. Team Bega due to being teenagers were released after being interrogated with Brooklyn agreeing to meet up a Beyblade jury member for regular counseling.

Hiro was arrested as well for his involvement but it didn't seemed like a big deal because it was Boris who was the mastermind behind the whole Bega thing , well until now.

"Mr. Dickenson, why did you asked us meet you urgently?...you kinda look worried, Is everything alright?" asked Hilary.

Few days after justice 5 tournament. Suddenly Mr. D calls Grandpa Granger telling him that he wants to meet everyone, this was was something that would make you worried because ever since the end of Bega Mr. D has been trying to reinstate BBA like before so you could say that the man didn't even had a second to catch a breath, so him calling an urgent meeting was something to be concerned about.

"Well how do I say this...things are not looking good for Hiro".

"What do you mean?" asked grandpa.

"What I mean is Hiro might be framed for this whole Bega fiasco".

"What!!!! But how?? everyone knows Boris was the mastermind, right?"questions Ray.

"Yeah Ray you're right but Boris framed him for this whole thing, first he refused to accept any accusations against him and kept insisting that he was working for someone and his boss won't be happy if he revealed his name but when the interrogators asked him again little strictly he said that it was Hiro and he only acted like he worked at Bega under him as a coach while it was always Hiro who held the top spot. At first it seemed like he was lying but then someone started to send WBC some so-called proofs like Bega being Hiro's property, him sending some money to Boris's account which Boris claimed to be his salary for his work for Hiro. So taking advantage of the situation, Tyler McGregor requested that the trial which was to be held against Boris should now be held against Hiro, which is his last chance to prove himself innocent otherwise he'll be held guilty for all this things and Boris will be released".

"He can get lawyer to fight his case then, can't he?" asked Kenny.

"That's the second thing Kenny, this case will not be presented before any ordinary court but in front World Beyblade Jury.

So either you should get any permanent member to fight your case or fight that case yourself ".

"Then what the big deal because we know how good Hiro is at convincing (or *cough* manipulating *cough*) people ". said Hilary.

"Hn, but right now considering his position the jury won't have any soft corner for him.So other option is slightly better but that's when one of them is ready to take his case and that's what is bothering you right, Mr. D". analysed Kai.

"You're right Kai, since Boris's case will be fought by Tyler McGregor which makes it all very bad condition because considering history of Hiro and Tyler, he will go to any lengths to prove him guilty, so it's find someone who's willing to take the case".

"God, my homeboy Hiro what kind of mess he's in".

"The kind that he created himself" everyone looks at Tyson who speaks for first time in this meeting which is highly unlikely of him to be this silent, "I don't get why are we even discussing thing, he's a traitor and he's getting punished for what he did he could've been our coach, he could have trained us but no, he goes with Boris. So sorry! but I'm not interested whether he is being framed or not."saying this Tyson gets out of the room slamming the door behind him.

"Oh, Tyson" sighs Grandpa.

"It'll be alright grandpa, I think he's just upset with all this ." Max tries to reassure grandpa.

"Can't we contact Mystique I mean she was working for a permanent member of jury right, so may be that person will help us." suggest Kenny.

"Mystique is M.I.A. since the end of Justice 5 tournament so I tried to contact her boss but I haven't been able to reach them and then again her boss is quite close to McGregor, also there are rumours that she won't be present during the trial. So I would like grandpa to come with me to meet an old acquaintance who might take the case."

"Ok, anything for my homeboy."

And grandpa went with Mr. D.

After not being able to convince anyone to take up Hiro's case they go for their last option.

"We have to contact her."

"I've tried but I wasn't able to."

"Maybe he can."

And they call Mr. Granger "Hello, Bruce..."

The day of Hiro's Trial

Mr. D and Grandpa Granger went to attend the trial leaving the kids in care of Max's parents.

They all were glued in front of television to see the whole trial which was being broadcasted live on television even Tyson -though he claimed that he's there just to see if Boris is punished or not- was present.

"Why is this case being fought in front of World Beyblade Jury instead of normal courts??" questioned Max and Tyson .

"Max, Tyson cuz most of the decisions in Beyblading world are made by them like the world championships, their format, rules and regulations,etc. since well last two years, because of what happened during Zeo case, the need of such organisation was felt, so people having major contribution in Beyblading world were selected as permanent members of the jury, while I and Mr. D were a temporary member but that was till Bega."

"Oh, so this means issues like this are also supposed to be handled by them but don't you think a woman like you should also be part of the jury? " Hilary asked. Hilary always admired Judy Tate for successful woman she is so it's natural that she felt like that.

"Hn" agreed Kai.

"Maybe there are no women in Beyblading world who could've been capable to be permanent members of the jury." joked Tyson as he knew it would piss off Hilary.

" You better take that back Tyson!!!" Hilary knocked out Tyson making everyone laughed while Daichi was measuring the size of bump on Tyson's head.

"Haha...well believe me Tyson a woman much more capable than me is part of that Jury but sadly I've heard that she won't be part of today's trial." informed Judy.

"Who's she?!" questioned Hilary.

"Dr... "

"Guys they've started the broadcast!!" announced Kenny interrupting Judy.

At WBC Headquarters

"Today the fate of Hiro Granger, the person responsible for destruction of Bey-city will be decided by six of seven permanent members of WBC, six because it's being said by Tyler McGregor himself that he had been told by Dr. C.K. that she won't be attending the trial." said reporter 1.

"Every member of today's jury has reached the HQ and the trial is about to begin but it's still unclear who's going to fight from Hiro Granger's side."

"Hey! Who's that??..."

"OMG!!!This can't be happening!"

A car stops in front of gate of WBC and a young brunette comes out wearing a formal solid creme coloured blazer and trousers and light blue shirt. She has aquamarine eyes, a radiant face porcelain skin and confidence radiating from her , her wavy brown hairs tied in a pony and two curls framing her beautiful face . As soon as ahe came out of car she was swarmed by reporters.

"Breaking news: Dr. C.K. herself has arrived to the trial proving all the rumours false."

" Mam, we heard the rumours that you won't be able to attend the trial."

"Excuse me please..."

" Mam please just one question... who would you favor today Hiro or Boris?"

"I'll let time answer that question." saying that she went inside the building.

Inside the trial room

"He betrayed his own brother you know."

"What else do you expect from such guy?."

"How can someone do that to kids?"

"Who's fighting his case?"

"Heard no one wanna take his side."

Hiro could hear people whispering things about him, he couldn't do anything because the situation was already as bad as it could be his last hope was the person who was going to fight his case. He cursed himself for not being careful while working on his mission at Bega, Boris had planned this escape plan from the start itself so if he got caught he would place the blame on someone else and thanks to his 'lucky stars' he was the guy who was the chosen one. Well, he should not have shown at the end to Boris that he was never on his side and help Mystique to knock him out (she could have done it on her own, maybe).

"Huh, how does it feel to have your future in the hands of your biggest opponent ? Hiro." taunted Tyler.

"You? and my biggest opponent? Oh, come on gemme a break, you're not even one of them." fought back Hiro and it made Tyler's face glow red in anger.

"If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't try to piss off a permanent member of Jury. But well, enjoy your last day out of jail cuz I'll make sure you never see the daylight ever again that means I'll finally defeat you."

"Well history says otherwise but we'll see." Hiro knew Tyler was trying to provoke him to do something out of impulse which would further weaken his case so he kept his calm.

"You know she even refused to attend the trial, too bad she won't be here to see how I take you down live."

He had to bring her up in this matter, didn't he? Hiro clenched his fists to control himself. She was someone never wanted to talk about with anyone.

The second Ray saw Dr. C.K. on television he choked on the water he was drinking What's she doing there? She's the Dr. C.K.?

"Oh my god, this changes everything!!"exclaimed Max's mom.

"What?! How?" Ray questioned him.

"You'll see, things just got a bit more interesting...haha."

"Silence!! It's time to start the trial everyone on their spots." announced Chen Xheng, the chairman of today's jury.

"Tyler McGregor will be the prosecutor of today's case and defense is... Hiro Granger who's gonna defend your case?"

"I am..."

All eyes turn towards the new occupant of the trial room. CK entered the room carrying a brief-case with herself.

"Dr C.K.!!!"

People in room were shell-shocked and confused but Hiro was most shocked of all cuz never in his wildest dreams did he thought that she will come to save him after all that had transpired between them in past that too against Tyler McGregor. He internally slammed his forehead, 'Grandpa, Mr D ,what were you guys thinking??!!..'

"C K,... never thought you were gonna oppose me in jury, especially for this case and don't you think losing your first case will be bad for your record, so why? feeling some long forgotten feelings?"

"You don't have to worry about my record and well, I don't need to explain my actions as you're not the boss of me." answered C K.

Hiro noticed that her tone carried a unusual edge he never saw her use, well unless she was fighting.

"Let's begin this session, Tyler please go ahead." Mr.Chen Xheng gave green signal, smirking at C K.

Everyone sat on their places and Tyler started his proceedings.

"Thank you sir Chairman, we all know what kind of havoc was unleashed in Bey-city by Bega blader Brooklyn. And the one responsible for this was the boss of the organisation who was initially thought to be Boris but on digging further in this case, I found out that contrary to what we thought initially, it was Hiro Granger who has been the one holding strings all the time."

"That's a lie!!" defended Hiro.

"Silence! Do you have any proof for this?" Chairman asked McGregor.

"Ofcourse, sir Chairman these are the property papers which clearly states that Bega is or should I say was the property of Hiro Granger."

"Any objection, defense?"

C K looks at the documents verifies "Hm they're totally legit sir Chairman, so no, no objections sir."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"No objections."

"Ok so moving towards next proof are this bank statements which clearly indicates that Hiro Granger used to send salary to Boris for his work meaning that Boris was never the boss this innocent man here who was suffering from poverty had to agree with this arrangement for his survival."

Hearing this CK chokes on her saliva "Can I see those documents?"

"Yes, ofcourse CK, the copy is on your table."

She checks those bank statements.

"Any objection from defense on their authenticity?" asks the chairman.

"Oh no, they are as authentic as they could be." says CK which further confuses Chen Xheng as he knew CK, it's not like her to just agree with whatever you throw at her especially when she's supposed to fight.

She's supposed to defend me, isn't she? but she looks like she's just here to show that I've someone to defend my case just so it would seem a fair trial...God help me...

And just like that few more accusations went on with CK not even trying to fight.

"Man CK, you're making this boring you know, you're supposed to fight me not agree with everything but hey it's not your fault, is it? force of habit, right." taunts Tyler.

While CK ignored this statement, Hiro was angrily clenching his fists What happened to you? you were never like this...

"So it seems like all the accusations and proofs by the prosecutor has been submitted to jury without any objection by defense so I announce a twenty minutes break after which if defense doesn't have any argument then the jury will give it's judgement both Tyler and CK can take their clients with them for discussing their further strategy."

"Man, she's not even trying to win I don't care 'bout Hiro but this way Boris will be set free." complains Tyson even though he said he didn't cared what happened with Hiro, everyone knew Tyson wanted his brother to be free and come back.

"You said she's more capable than you but this..."

"Dr. CK is never like this! I don't get what's going in her mind."

What are you trying to do? thought Ray.

"CK is a genius, I feel she's thinking of something." says Kenny.

"Hn" let's hope you're right thought Kai.

After the break was announced Hiro went after CK as she paced towards her cabin, he needed answers.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Hiro angrily.

"Fighting your case? Oh, I don't wanna but Mr. Bruce, my mentor asked me so here I am."

"Exactly, he asked you to 'fight' the case, not to agree with every bullsh*t Tyler McGregor and Boris Balkov wants to feed everyone."

Ignoring his outburst CK says "Well, don't disturb me for next fifteen minutes it's time for my power nap."

"What? Hey you just can't..." but no use she was soon asleep. He was about to wake her up but then he saw her face which look as serene as water, involuntarily his hand went to touch her cheek but stopped when he felt another presence in the room so he turned to look at new additions to room and saw two kids one girl with ink blue hair and a short boy with a big nose .

"Who are you two and what are you two doing here ?" Hiro asked.

"See, I told you we should've waited I wanted to see what happens next btw I'm Ian Papav from Blitzkrieg boys and she..."

"I'll introduce myself Ian, I'm Mariam from Saint Shields and we're working with Dr. CK since the beginning of World championships."

(A/N: Reason why Ian and Saint Shields weren't present during the events of season 3)

"Saint Shields aren't you one of those guys who wanted to trap all four holy bit beasts

some time ago but then you guys kind of quit."

"We were sent by CK to basically to help bladebreakers to protect the holy bit beasts and prepare them for what was gonna happen next. Well, it worked well I would say."

"Well I would say all this is gonna go in vain because if today I get punished instead of Boris, he will roam freely in the world and keep trying to get remaining three beasts. And seeing her performance in the court I can say that's what gonna happen in future." Hiro says looking at CK's sleeping form.

"Huh, you think she would show up as your defense if all she wanted was to set Boris free, that girl won't even breath if it wasn't necessary for living."

"That's basically why everyone breaths Ian" reprimands Mariam (-_-').

"Just get the point, I'm waiting for second half of trial."

Before Hiro could ask them any more questions CK woke up.

"So have you two done for what I had told you two to do?"

"Yes, Dr."

"What do you mean?"

"Now in the court stay silent and let me do my job."

"You can't just boss me around."

"Well if someone had been a bit more careful during their time in Bega, we won't even be discussing this here." taunts CK.

"So, let me do it my way."

"What are you going to do?"

"You'll see." smirked CK which made Hiro a bit uncomfortable as This is what she always says when she's about to do something out of the box.

"So is there something defense wants to say then it's your last chance?"

"Oh, what could they do now that they weren't able to do before?"

Mr. D and Grandpa were little on edge,CK had asked them to be patient but this was too much to take now.

"Well, i would like it if opposition shows little bit of mannerisms and not cut in between, cuz the question was directed towards me and yes, there are lots of things I would like to say and show."

CK opens her brief case which she's been carrying with her since start "First, lets clear one thing that I've not raised any objections on authenticity of any documents presented by prosecution but that doesn't mean that they totally prove that my client Hiro Granger was behind all this Bega conspiracy."

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is sir Chairman please check the date on the document which says that Bega was or is Hiro's property but the date is one day after Brooklyn incident when he was in custody of WBC which means someone transferred Bega's property on Hiro's name to clearly frame him and by someone I mean Boris Balkov and his men." accuses CK.

"Objection sir, how can she be so sure that it was my client."

"Objection sustained, does defense have any proof to prove this accusation?"

"Ofcourse sir Chairman, when first the news came out that BBA was sold I wanted to know who bought it as it was unclear for long time that what new org. will be there in BBA's place so after researching for a bit my sources found out that it was BEGA a 'Russian organisation' whose then registered owner was Boris Balkov and to prove this these are the papers which were use to register this company."

"Silence in the court please!! This papers are totally legal, but what about those bank statements." asks Chairman.

"Same with those bank statements, please check their dates they all are after Hiro joined Bega and main thing is all Bega employees were given new accounts for their salaries whose details were secured in Bega's database which can be used by Boris and his men as and when they want to." provides CK.

"And my friend Tyler here says Boris is a innocent and poor man but why are we forgetting that this was the man who used to run Balkov abbey with Voltaire Hiwatari and wanted to rule the world? how he used to torture kids there ? well, if you ask me, it's no wonder Brooklyn went all psycho during his match cuz he must've faced similar torture Abbey kids used to face."

"Objection Sir, Dr CK can't just butcher my client's image on the basis of his past."

"Objection overruled!"

"Thank you sir, well looks like someone's Beyblade manufacturing company had earned quite a fortune during the reign of Bega, right McGregor. Well, WBC was formed to punish this kind of people not to set them free and with my next evidence or should I say witness I'll make sure it happens." CK said with confident attitude which made Tyler glow red in anger. How did she got to know about our deal?

"Sir, my client here would like to say something." says Tyler McGregor.

"Respected chairman and honourable jury members, I would admit that I tried to frame Hiro Granger as boss of Bega but it was all due to fear after the accident with Brooklyn. I was so afraid I didn't know what to do." admitted Boris sneakily as he knew at this point if he himself surrenders then the punishment won't be that severe and it was still better than letting jury dig more into his past.

"Oh, so you say you were afraid." amuses CK. "Well, I would still like present my witness, so do I have your permission sir Chairman?"

"Yes, why not." said Chen Xheng smirking at CK the way she changed the whole case in second half was commendable. It reminded him of the old CK.

What are you? thought Hiro even after knowing her for years he still felt like he doesn't know her properly.

A man enters the witness box, seeing him people start whispering about what could he have witnessed.

"Silence!"

"World championships were held not so long ago, so assuming it's still fresh in everyone's memories I would like to ask everyone if they know what happened to Barthez the coach of Barthez battalion?" asks CK and everyone is silent.

Holy shit!!!! thinks Boris.

"Well I would like to ask same question to my witness, do you know what happened Barthez ?"

"Yes, he was killed as car driver drove over him in front of my shop after Kai vs Miguel match."

"Did you saw the driver ?" asks CK.

"Yes... I did ...It was him" the witness says pointing towards Boris and many gasps are heard.

"He's lying, sir Chairman."

"He says that he saw you kill Barthez means he saw you kill Barthez!!!"CK slams her hands on the table in front of Boris.

"NO, HE'S LYING." Boris does the same by standing up to look superior.

"WHY DO YOU THINK SO???"

"I KNOW SO!!"

"WHY?"

" CUZ IT'S NOT POSSIBLE."

"WHY IS IT NOT POSSIBLE?"

"BECAUSE I HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO KILL BARTHEZ, THERE'S NO WAY HE HD SEEN ME THERE, THAT'S WHY."

"THAT'S ALL sir Chairman he confessed it himself. Barthez was working for Boris during World Championships, he wanted to win the championship by any means cuz if they'd won then it would've been the best way to launch Bega and the conversation that were intercepted by my spy during World Championships proves that I'm telling the truth. But when Miguel and his teammates overthrew Barthez he became a liability for Boris as he knew his plan and if he was caught then it would end it all right there ." people start whispering to each other.

"I didn't mean to say that..."

"Slience!" shouts chairman.

"But CK doesn't that mean that you presented a fake witness against Boris?" asked a jury member.

"Sorry sir Chairman and respected members of jury, I had to present a fake witness in order to show everyone the truth of Boris Balkov. Do you really think a man who can go to this lengths should be roaming free? Tyler McGregor here says that I shouldn't 'butcher' his client's image and what has he been doing with my client Hiro? this matter could've been solved by investigators but no just for the sake of rivalry between those two, he thought it would be a good idea to get together with a criminal to what? defeat him? He made this matter public does he have any idea how this could have affected my client on personal and professional level?"

"I didn't know about his actions." said Tyler who was now ashamed of his actions and angry for his stupidity for blindly believing Boris.

"You just went ahead to take his case without researching even a little bit about him. Well, having more experience didn't stop you from doing this stupidity, did it? and just because I've voted in your favour few times doesn't mean it's my habit, I stand with what I feel is appropriate and one last thing, don't ever underestimate someone ever again, especially when that someone happens to be me." taunts CK as a come back for what he did in first half.

"Time for votes even though it seems unnecessary now. Those in the favour of Hiro Granger raise their hands" at which all jury members even Tyler McGregor (who was ashamed of his actions) raised their hands.

"So, after looking into all proofs, witnesses and the majority or let's say this whole jury. We releases Hiro Granger from all charges and sentence life imprisonment for Boris Balkov. Also fellow jury member Tyler McGregor has to apologise to Hiro Granger for trying to hamper his image. The jury is adjured." announces Chairman Chen Xheng with happiness and pride.

Everyone claps for CK for her amazing win. It's not everyday you see such performance and they congratulated her for her win.

"Thank you so much for helping my Grandson, dudette."

"No need to thank me grandpa, Mr. Bruce is my idol and its my duty so..."

"No really, thank you." says Hiro.

"Hm" CK accepts and leaves the trail room, even though she had fought his case there's no way she can tolerate being in same room as him after everything.

"Well Hiro for... well this is hard... sorry for all this." apologises Tyler McGregor.

"Huh, leave it, let bygones be bygones."

"Well then, let's go to grab a drink, shall we? for old times sake, well without CK that is, as it looks she left early." suggests Chen Xheng.

All the kids were happy and excited with the second half of the proceeding, they all (well all except Kai) shouted after Boris was sentenced for life imprisonment.

"Dr.CK really is a rockstar." said an awestruck Kenny.

"Now I get why she's the member of jury!!" says Hilary as she hugs Kai in excitement and when she releases him after realising what she had done they both end up blushing.

"Finally, he's free and I can beat the shit out of him for betraying us."announces Tyson enthusiastically, at which everyone sweatdrops.

I really am proud of you but... thinks Ray as he sees CK on T.V.

I just wish you could take some time to meet me.......I really miss you ...
