"Damn it, Myc! I said rose quartz!" Rand shouted as his staff decorated the conference room with flowers, candles, a picture of him and Tamiko on their wedding day, Japanese lanterns, and a heart-shaped ice sculpture with an apology on it. "Glenn, feng shui that lamp! Feng-ier, goddamn it!"
"Well, this is one of the strangest meetings I've ever walked in on." Eddie said as he and Reagan entered.
"Dad, what's going on?" Reagan asked. "Why is there potpourri in the document shredder?"
"Tamiko said she was coming by today with some big news." Rand said as he pulled out his phone. "Look at this text. Look at the dots."
Rand sent the text message on the big screen. It read "I want to talk…"
"So you're making it Valentine's Day just because Mom's on her way?" Reagan asked.
"Maybe you haven't noticed, but I lost Tamiko when I lost my job. Now that I'm on top again, she's remembered that I'm the one."
"Yeah, the one who fills up the garbage bins with alcohol bottles every day."
"But do you even know what this 'big news' thing is even about?" Eddie asked.
"It doesn't matter." Rand said. "Tamiko Ridley is about to walk through that door and say…"
"Who wants to meet my new boyfriend?" Tamiko asked in a sing-song tone the very moment she walked on in.
Before anyone could answer, a second person walked into the room alongside Tamiko. He was a tall, slender man with a black jacket and a red shirt. His hair was slicked black and his skin was pale, but there was no doubt how young and handsome he looked.
"What?!" Rand asked with a mix of shock and anger. "Morbius, is that you?!"
"Good to see you, Rand." The new man replied.
"Morbius… Wait a minute." Reagan's face was raised in surprise. "You mean Michael Morbius?"
"The blood doctor?" Eddie asked in equal surprise.
"Wait, you've heard of him?" Andre asked.
"Well, yeah. He publicly declined the Nobel Prize. It was a big news blowout."
"I saw footage of that. It was a riot. Hmm… For some reason, the word 'riot' sounds unnerving to me."
Morbius chuckled slightly. "Well, it's been a while. I eventually accepted it."
"Credit where credit is due." Tamiko said as she kissed Morbius fully on the lips.
Rand did not like what he was seeing. He groaned and growled before blurting out, "MOTHEREFFER!"
"Well, he is effing Reagan's mother. So yes, mother effer." Andre said.
"Mom, you just got married to yourself, and now, you're dating a Nobel Prize winner?" Reagan asked.
"Forget that!" Rand shouted. "How on Earth are you still alive, Morbius? Back at college, you were…"
"Wait. You and Morbius went to college together?" Reagan interrupted.
"We sure did." Morbius said. "I attended Harvard and worked with your father and JR from time to time. I met your mother around that time and we were going out for a bit."
"Well, we sort-of dated." Tamiko said. "Sadly, Mikey was so drawn into his own work, that he barely had time for me. That was shortly after I met Rand and made the biggest mistake of my life."
"You know, I'm standing right here." Rand said with a grimace.
"Maybe I was a bit of a workaholic, but I had a terminal blood disease." Michael said. "I had to research hematology to find a cure. And it wasn't like Rand was going to help me…"
"Hey! That disease was uncurable!" Rand shouted.
"Clearly, that was false. Because he's back and better than ever." Tamiko said. "He was hired on the medical team for my book's movie cast, and I suppose old sparks have just reignited. I just wanted to come by and tell you that the premier is this weekend."
"And we're all invited?" Gigi asked excitedly.
"What? No. I'm just telling you."
"Listen, 'Mikey', I don't know how you did it but…" Rand said threateningly.
"Now, Rand," Morbius interrupted with a stare that petrified Rand, "I've already forgiven you for not trying to help me. But try not to be a problem. For Tamiko's sake."
"I… I…" Rand said before shaking his own head. "Whoa. What the heck just happened?" He regained his composure and glared angrily. "This will never last! Tell her, Reagan!"
"Why should I listen to Reagan?" Tamiko asked. "She's never been supportive about any of my relationships."
"What? I have always… Uh…" Reagan said before stopping herself.
"Well, you did try to talk her out of dating the pool boy, Richard Branson, and the entire cast of Cirque du Soleil." Eddie said.
"I remember that pool boy. He was delicious."
"I only did that because I didn't want my mom to be hurt," Reagan said, "But you know what, I think it's beautiful that you've decided to go for this one."
"Oh, Reagan. That is so unlike you. In a good way." Tamiko said.
"I just think it's really sweet how you've decided to go out with an old flame." Reagan said.
"Well, I want you to know that I would never dream of trying to replace your father." Morbius pointed out.
"It's not totally off the table, right?" Reagan laughed.
"Tamiko, what do you say we head back to my place in LA?" Morbius asked. "I'm just feeling a little drained."
"Of course." Tamiko said.
Everyone followed Morbius and Tamiko to their bike and watched them drive away from the front entrance. As soon as they left, Rand confronted Reagan.
"New mission! Reagan, as your boss and father, I order you to destroy that relationship."
"What? Eff, no!" Reagan refused.
Rand growled and turned to Eddie. "What about you, slime sack? How about you go over and bite Morbius' head off?"
"Tell Rand to eat a dick and choke on it!"
"Uh, Venom says no. And I agree. We're not just going to kill a famous scientist just because you're jealous."
"Come on, guys. It's for her own good." Rand said. "Trust me. I've studied Morbius' blood disease back in college. He should be dead by now. Something's up and I bet it's a dark-ass secret. Did you see how he hypnotized me? He might not even be human."
"Face it. Mom just wants young blood."
"My blood's plenty young."
"Last week, the doctor said your blood was 4% cigarette ash and 9% STDs. I am not sabotaging Mom's happiness because you got replaced by someone who actually makes a wholesome couple with her."
"What do you know about wholesome relationships?" Rand asked. "You're dating a guy hosting a Xenomorph."
"Hey, me and Eddie make a great couple." Reagan said. "And just to prove it…" She grabbed Eddie's hand and guided him to her car. Everyone whistled and cheered knowing what Reagan planned to do with Eddie as soon as they return home.
"Ooh. I wish I could eat popcorn for this show."
The next day, Reagan had joined her mom and Morbius at the former's home. Morbius came to the living room with a tray of lunch for the women which Reagan then took.
"Reagan, this visit was such a nice idea." Tamiko said. "You've never wanted to hang out with any of my boyfriends."
"Well, none of them were Michael Morbius." Reagan said. "I really respect your work, by the way. I gotta know. How did you discover the cure to your blood disease?"
"It's complicated to explain really."
"I'm smart. I can follow."
"Rrrrright." Morbius said shifting his eyes around. "Tell you what, Reagan, I'll see what I can pull up and fill you in on it later. For now, I need to get rice crackers. Be right back, Koko." He kissed Tamiko on the cheek and walked out of the room.
"I gotta say Mom, this is not the kind of guy I see you dating." Reagan said. "Not that I mean anything bad about it. It's just that you usually just go for sexy, flexible billionaires with model bodies."
"Well, after dating so many of those types of guys, Mikey keeps me grounded." Tamiko said. "Sure, he's still rich thanks to his science prize money, but everything is just what I like."
"I'm proud of you, Mom." Reagan said setting herself next to her mother. Just then, Tamiko placed her hand on top of Reagan's. "What is this? We about to kill a spider together?"
"I want you to come to the premiere with us as my guest of honor."
"Wait, really?"
"You always find some kind of fault with my boyfriends, but for once, you're supporting me. Now, I'm supporting you. And if you like, you can even bring Evan."
"Who?"
"You know. Evan. That guy that you're seeing. The one with the black sludge in his body."
"You mean Eddie?"
"Yes. That's what I said."
"No, you said… You know what. Forget it. Thanks, Mom. I don't know what to say."
"Say you'll get me another guinoa mimosa." Tamiko held up a nearly empty glass.
"On it."
Reagan took the glass and walked to the kitchen where a bucket full of wine bottles and ice were resting. She took one and opened it up to fill her mom's glass.
"Rand was so wrong." Reagan said. "Morbius isn't a dangerous guy. At the end of the day, he's just…"
Reagan stopped talking to hear a creaking sound. She followed it to a wooden panel closet that had its doors shut. Carefully, she followed her curiosity to the door and opened the door slightly. At first, she found a dark room with a very dim light. Suddenly, she gasped silently as she looked in terror at what was inside.
Micheal Morbius was there kneeling above a brown horse that laid on its side. Morbius raised his head slightly revealing a face that was anything but human. His pale skin glowed in the candlelight. He wore inhuman fangs in his own mouth. Horse blood was found dripping from those very fangs. After swallowing some of the remaining blood that was in his mouth, his skin returned to its darker shade.
Morbius didn't notice Reagan spying on him, which was good for her when she closed the door and rushed into the hallway panting heavily.
"What was that? Is Michael Morbius some kind of vampire? Are vampires real? Am I spiraling? Is all of this out loud?"
Tamiko found her daughter in the hallway and walked up to her. "Reagan, is everything all right? You look like you've seen a ghost, or an adjacent undead creature."
Michael Morbius appeared again coming from the kitchen. He spooked Reagan, who was even more scared seeing the red liquid on his mouth, which he quickly wiped with a napkin.
"Sorry, ladies. I was just drinking a box of juice. What did I miss?"
"Mikey, I just invited Reagan and her boyfriend to be our guests at the premier." Tamiko said. "She's so excited, she's sweating."
Reagan was sweating all right, but it was out of fear and nervousness. "Uh, yeah. This is not gonna suck… I mean bite… I mean, let's do it."
"HE'S A WHAT?!" Eddie gasped loudly as soon as Reagan returned home.
"A vampire! A mother-effing vampire!" Reagan answered pacing frantically in a circle. "He was in a dark room! He was sucking blood from a horse's neck! I can't believe I'm saying this, but Rand was right! He does have a dark-ass secret!"
"Who would have thought that Rand Ridley was right about something?"
"Have you told your mom?" Eddie asked.
"No. I mean, I don't know all the facts. I don't want to go pointing fingers at her boyfriend unless I'm sure he's dangerous. I mean, what do we know about vampires?"
Eddie brushed his fuzzy chin. "Well, if it helps, there is someone who can give us all the info we might need."
"There is?" Reagan asked.
"Well, after seeing Slender Man at group therapy, I asked around to see if there were any other monsters that were real. Gigi did mention vampires, but studies are them are strictly for the Illuminati. And we do know someone who works for them, don't we?"
"Ah. I see what you're saying." Reagan nodded.
"So we're just going to call up your ex and her new boyfriend for a favor?"
"It's our only chance." Eddie responded to his symbiote.
Eddie and Reagan drove into a parking garage in a white panel van. The two of them waited for a minute until a knock was heard on their front door. They opened it and allowed Ron and Anne to enter.
"Hello, you two." Anne said. "So you want to know about vampires?"
"Kinda." Reagan said. "Specifically, we want to know about a guy named Michael Morbius. He may be a vampire…"
"Morbius?" Ron asked. He sat over at a nearby computer and plugged a flash drive in. "Funny you should say that. Morbius is featured in this file we've borrowed from the Illuminati archive. Stark likes to keep track of potential threats to the world."
"So he is a vampire?" Eddie asked just as Morbius' image appeared on the computer screen.
"There is a strong possibility." Ron said. "According to Stark's research, Michael Morbius was born with a terminal degenerate blood disease that was eating away at his blood cells his whole life at a very slow rate. That's why he started his work on hermatology, the study of blood. He thought he could find a cure himself. But when it went nowhere, so he went through a radical treatment which miraculously put his disease into remission. Now, here's the bizarre part. Studies show that his treatment involved DNA from vampire bats and electroshock therapy."
"So he turned himself into a vampire to stop his blood disease?" Eddie asked.
"Wow. That's pretty hardcore."
"Oh, yeah." Anne said. "And like any real vampire, he has to feed."
"Shit. So he really is dating my mom for her blood?" Reagan asked frantically.
Before anyone could answer, Ron's watch beeped which he then answered. "Sorry, but we're gonna have to stop here. I have to go to my next cleanup job. Someone on the internet found out Margot Robbie is CGI. See you at home, Annie?"
"You know it." Anne said.
Once the two of them left the van, Reagan and Eddie looked at each other nervously.
"Reagan, you've got to tell your mom about Morbius before he drinks her blood."
"Speaking as a connoisseur of blood, I can say that it is quite a delicacy, but I can see why you humans would find it disgusting."
"I can't. If I tell her, she's just gonna assume I'm being old unsupportive Reagan. It'll just drive them closer together. Mom is gonna have to find out from somebody she trusts."
Reagan and Eddie took the van to Morbius' house and parked it out of sight. While they waited, Reagan put on a black suit with wires around it. Eddie stayed at the seat monitoring the computers until he saw Morbius leaving the house in his car.
"The vampire's on the move." Eddie said. "You ready to do this?"
"More than ready." Reagan said pressing a button on her suit. Suddenly, a holographic form built over her entire body until she looked exactly like Michael Morbius. "Wish me luck, sweetie."
Once Reagan left the van, Eddie was left sitting in his chair alone with only Venom to talk to.
"So? How goes the search?"
"The search?"
"You know, for something new. You and Reagan talked about finding you something new to focus your life around."
"Oh. Wait a minute, why are you asking? You're in my body. You already know the answer."
"I know. I just wanted to remind you."
"I didn't forget. I just haven't thought of anything. I mean, I wanted to fight for the innocent people. That's why I became a journalist in the first place. It's all I really trained myself for. I guess I haven't thought about being anything other than that."
"Then maybe you can be a journalist again. I know you got fired from the Bugle, but there are other news companies in the world."
"Can you think of anywhere that won't do a background check on me and see how unlikeable I am?"
"Well… Maybe Reagan can help. Cognito can probably change your entire background check. Gigi is good at PR stuff."
"We'll see I guess."
Reagan returned to the van, but she wasn't wearing her Morbius disguise.
"What happened?" Eddie asked.
"It didn't work." Reagan said. "I accidentally dropped my disguise, so now, Mom lost trust in me. She banned me and you from the premiere."
"Damn it." Eddie grunted. "So what's the plan now?"
"Ooh! Ooh! I know!" Venom said poking his head out of Eddie's neck. "Let me take a swing at the vampire."
"You want to kill Morbius?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah. Just picture it. Venom vs Morbius. Alien vs vampire. It would be badass."
"Well, it's probably the best idea we have." Reagan said. "All right, Venom. Let's eff up this vampire."
The night of the premiere came. The front of the theater had a large poster of Tamiko's book cover hung over a red carpet with entire crowds of fans and reporters at the sides. On the other side of the road, Eddie and Reagan hid themselves behind the bushes. They were wearing dark clothes to blend in with the shadows.
"We need to infiltrate that premier and get to Morbius before it's too late." Reagan said.
"But how?" Eddie asked. "The red carpet's the only way in, and we'll get spotted as soon as we get there."
"It may not be an issue for you." Reagan said. "Remember when I told you that you remind me of Tom Hardy?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, I wasn't just flirting. You really do have a similar appearance of Tom Hardy. All that's left is the costume."
"Allow me."
Suddenly, Venom's black substance covered Eddie's body. It changed shape and color until it looked like he was wearing a celebrity tuxedo. He stood up to admire himself.
"Wow. I didn't know you can change into new clothes for me."
"Pretty cool, huh?"
"Spiffy." Reagan commented. "Okay, Eddie. I'm gonna be waiting at the church with a vampire trap set up for him. All you and Venom have to do is lead him there. Once we've killed him in an isolated area, it'll be easier for us to dispose of the body with no one the wiser, least of all my mom."
"On it." Eddie said as he walked out of the bushes and toward the theater.
One step on the red carpet, and Eddie soon found himself covered in camera flashes from reporters who mistook him for Tom Hardy. Once he walked in, he instantly laid eyes on Morbius and Tamiko at the center of the room. He waited patiently until Morbius left Reagan's mom and headed to the bathroom. Eddie sneaked over and followed.
Morbius finished his business with a quick wash of his hands. He was just about to reach for his paper towels when he noticed Eddie in the mirror. He turned to face him.
"Oh. It's you." Morbius said. "What are you doing here?"
"Saving my girlfriend's mom." Eddie said. "I know you're a vampire, Morbius. And I know you want to drink Tamiko's blood to keep yourself alive."
"What?" Morbius asked. "No, wait. You got the wrong idea."
"Save it!" Venom took control of the conversation as he morphed himself over Eddie's body. "It's time to pluck out your fangs for good!"
Morbius sighed lowering his head. "So we're doing this, huh? Fine."
Morbius shot his head back up revealing his pale skin, his red eyes, and his monstrous fangs. He snarled at Venom who roared back. The two met in the middle of the restroom and began their fight.
Venom grabbed Morbius with one hand and tossed him to the far side of the room. He saved himself by planting both feet on the wall and jumping off of it. He successfully tackled Venom with his vampire strength, and they both crashed through the wall falling outside. After kicking Morbius off of him, Venom landed on the ground. Morbius landed right in front of him.
Venom found a bunch of barrels sitting beside him and threw them toward the vampire one by one. However, Morbius' speed helped him dodge them and get him closer to the alien. He grabbed Venom by his head and flipped over him to slam it to the ground. Venom quickly retaliated by sinking his fangs into Morbius' hand.
"AAAAHHH!" Morbius exclaimed pulling his hand out of Venom's mouth. His hand healed the bite marks.
"How does it feel to be the one bitten, Count von Count?"
Venom shot his hand up and stretched it right into Morbius. He picked him up and repeatedly slammed him to the walls he was in between before throwing him to a nearby rooftop.
Venom jumped to face Morbius face to face on top of the rooftop. The two of them clashed again locking their hands together just as drips of water fell on top of their heads. The two of them looked up and saw giant shower faucets sprinkling down on them. The two of them stopped fighting for a second to acknowledge it.
"What's this, fake rain? This just seems expensive."
"And in the desert." Morbius added. "So wasteful."
Venom resumed the fight with a quick uppercut sending Morbius across to a nearby chapel rooftop. Morbius flew until he hit the belltower. Once the bell began to rang, Venom began to shriek and shake with pain. Morbius noticed Venom was in agony and turned to the ringing bell which the then struck again as hard as he could.
Venom howled again giving Morbius the opportunity to rush up to him and grab him by the front of his chest. He threw him high in the air and followed until he was high enough to land a hard kick onto Venom. The symbiote plummeted down and crashed right through the chapel roof right in the middle of an auditorium.
While Venom was groaning and trying to recover, Morbius dropped own to tower over him. "Now, can we talk?"
"Talk to this, blood-sucker!"
Morbius turned to notice Reagan pointing a bazooka at him. He quickly stopped her by rushing toward her and knocking the weapon out of her hands.
"Reagan, this is no time for discord." Morbius said.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. It's 'Morbin' time, right?" Reagan asked in a mocking tone.
"What?" Morbius asked confused at the statement. "No! God, I have never said that in my life! Not only is it cringy, but it also doesn't make any sense! I mean, what does Morbin mean anyway?"
Suddenly, Venom revealed himself to have recovered and launched four black tentacles which wrapped around Morbius' wrists and ankles. The vampire tried to fight out, but the hold was too strong. Venom lifted him up exposed while Reagan pulled out a wooden stake.
"Do it, Reagan! Stake him in the heart!"
"No! Don't!" Morbius pleaded. "If you kill me, Tamiko's in danger!"
"You're the one putting my mom in danger." Reagan said. "You were after her for her blood."
"I wasn't going to feed on her! I was trying to protect her!"
Reagan lowered the stake in confusion. "Protect her? Protect her from what?"
"From me."
Everyone looked up at the rafters above which were lit up in red candlelight. At the top of the altar, a middle-aged gentleman was perched with a dark-blue coat, red eyes, and white hair that matched his mustache and beard. To his side, Tamiko was tied up and gagged while being trapped tightly in his grasp.
"Mom!" Reagan shouted in panic.
"Who is that?"
"That's Deacon Frost." Morbius answered finally breaking out of Venom's tentacles. "Did you think I was the only vampire in the world? Problem is, he's much worse!"
"Oh, Morbius, you make me sound bad." Deacon Frost said stroking on Tamiko's cheek. "I merely wish to survive. All living creatures do, don't they?"
"You're not even alive!" Morbius rasped.
"What do you want with my mom?" Reagan asked.
"Control. I learned about Tamiko after reading her book and all her rants about her dysfunctional marriage to Rand Ridley. Now that he's back in control of the Deep State, I figure this was the perfect opportunity. I knew he would do anything to win her back, so once I create a Tamiko Ridley duplicate, I can use her to manipulate Rand Ridley and gain access to anywhere I want in Cognito Inc. It'll be a feast of a lifetime for vampire-kind."
"Once word caught up to me about what Frost was planning, I flew over to protect her." Morbius said. "I couldn't let him hurt her."
"So all this time, you were trying to protect my mom?" Reagan realized. "And I was so overprotective, I lead you away from her for Frost."
Deacon Frost laughed as he picked Tamiko up and landed on the ground in front of everyone. "I find it amusing. You were so focused on trying to make sure another boyfriend wouldn't hurt your mom, you ended up getting her hurt yourself."
"Ooh. That is some iron-clad irony right there." Reagan said.
"I'll tear your throat out, Frost!" Morbius growled. He was about to pounce at his enemy, but Deacon Frost stopped him by inching Tamiko's neck closer to his open fangs.
"Don't you dare." Frost threatened. "If you get any closer, I'll drain your beloved dry."
"That's ridiculous!" Reagan yelled.
"You think I wouldn't?"
"No. I just know you're going to drain her either way."
"How do you know me so well?" Frost laughed ready to bite. "Say goodnight, Koko."
"WAIT!" Venom's shout stopped everyone in their tracks. "Before you do anything, there's something you need to know about Tamiko!"
"And what would that be?" Frost asked.
"Her feet are better than yours."
Confused, Deacon Frost looked down to examine both his and Tamiko's feet. That's when he noticed a black tentacle constricting around his ankle and tightening on it. He went to bite her, but it was too late. Venom pulled him away from Tamiko where she was caught and saved by Morbius. He pulled her gag off and removed the ropes that were binding her.
"Are you all right, Koko?" Morbius asked.
"I have several questions," Tamiko said, "But for now, I need you to wipe that effer off the face of the Earth."
"With pleasure." Morbius said growling toward his enemy.
Deacon Frost stood back up to find himself cornered and surrounded by Venom, Reagan, and Morbius. He growled angrily before breaking out into a demonic laughter.
"You fools think you have me all figured out, but you seem to have forgotten an important rule in Hollywood," Deacon Frost said, "Always have some high-figure contacts."
With a snap of Frost's fingers, more vampires were revealed in the rafters. They landed on the ground surrounding the three while one of them grabbed Tamiko. Reagan looked around recognizing the faces of the vampires.
"Leonardo DiCaprio? Nicolas Cage? Bradley Cooper? Johnny Depp? What is this?"
"You'd be surprised how many actors would give up their souls for a few new movie deals." Deacon Frost said. "Today, we claim the City of Angels. But with Tamiko, we'll have the entire shadow government under our control."
Suddenly, the church doors burst open revealing the rest of the Cognito staff along with four actors. But the most eye-catching of them all was the baby that was held in a carrier strapped to Andre. He spoke in Rand Ridley's voice.
"Hey freakshow, hands off my wife!"
"Is that Dad?" Reagan asked.
"He's turned himself into a literal man-child." Tamiko said. "Way to turn subtext into text, Rand. My therapist would love this."
"I did it to impress you." Rand said. "To show you that I was younger, hotter, and more successful than Morbius."
"He made us make a movie to make him look datable." Andre said. "But he may have gone overboard with my youth serum."
"What about the four new guys?" Reagan asked. "Isn't that Q-Tip, David Blaine, Lukas Haas, and Tobey Maguire?"
"I don't know why, but that Tobey fella makes me angry."
"We needed Leonardo DiCaprio for a guest star." Glenn said. "Turns out, these guys used to hang with him. That's how we found this place."
"Enough talk! Andre, downsies!" Rand ordered. After Andre placed his boss baby down, Rand marched up to confront Deacon Frost. "Myc, grab the camera."
"Rolling." Myc said pointing his phone.
"I'm kicking your ass." Rand challenged. "Get ready for a bloodbath."
Deacon burst out laughing while pointing at Rand. "THIS… THIS IS TOO… HAHAHA! THIS IS HILARIOUS! You're supposed to be Rand Ridley, the man in charge of Cognito Inc.? If eff-ups like this are a daily thing, then I'll be doing the Deep State a favor taking it out of your hands."
Reagan gasped. "That's it!" She reached into her jacket and pulled out a syringe. She then headed to her father and scooped him up.
"Reagan, what are you doing?"
"Something I've had recurring dreams about: finally stabbing my father!" She plunged the syringe into Rand's baby arm and drained out a small amount of blood.
"Ouchies." Rand whined.
Reagan pulled the syringe out and tossed it toward Deacon Frost. The vampire effortlessly caught it in his claws.
"You're a bigger fool than I thought." Frost chuckled. "Baby blood makes us stronger." He crushed the syringe in his hands until it shattered to pieces. He then held his hand over his mouth and let the blood drip onto his tongue.
"Not this baby." Reagan said with a cocky grin. "You just mainlined enough bad choices to eff you from the inside out."
"My blood type is O-Shit!" Rand added.
Realizing his mistake, Deacon Frost tried to wipe the poisoned blood from his tongue, but it was too late. He had already started coughing violently as he fell to his knees. He looked at his hand watching his pale flesh bulge and turn red. The rest of his body followed until he grew into a ugly, red, troll-like body. A second later, he exploded spilling blood everywhere.
After their master's death, the rest of the vampires wheezed in pain as they collapsed. They quickly became dust leaving nothing but their clothes behind.
"I got it in the can!" Myc cried out. "I give this movie three stars. Very confusing."
"So are they all dead?"
"Yes. It's over." Morbius sighed in relief before approaching Tamiko. He dropped his vampire appearance and met her in his human form. He lowered his head in shame. "I'm sorry I lied Tamiko. I just didn't want to hurt or worry you. But if you don't want to see me again, I understand." He turned and headed to the door, but Tamiko stopped him.
"Wait. Mikey."
"What the hell are you doing?" Rand asked. "He was just about to leave!"
Tamiko approached Morbius carefully. "You did lie to me, yes, but you risked a lot trying to protect me. So maybe… we can give this another shot?"
Morbius smiled taking her by her hands. "Tamiko Ridley, I'd love nothing more."
"OH, COME ON!" Rand whined. "WHAT ABOUT RANDY?! TAMIKO, I…"
"Jesus, will somebody make him a shitty old man again?" Reagan asked lifting her baby father up.
"I'll take care of that." Andre said taking Rand away.
While Rand left, Venom retracted himself into Eddie's body giving him control again.
"Well, I believe we have a premier to celebrate." Eddie said.
"Sounds like fun." Reagan said.
After the premiere, Reagan headed to her mom for a private talk. They sat on the stairs side by side to each other.
"So… Sorry for nearly ruining your premiere and trying to murder your boyfriend. I guess Morbius was a good guy after all."
"I'm the one who's sorry." Tamiko said. "Seeing my only daughter risk her life like that, I realized you have been supporting me this whole time by trying to protect me."
"Exactly. It's not that I don't want you to be happy. It's just, you used to have horrible taste in men. Dad. Buzz Aldrin. So after seeing that Morbius was an actual monster…"
"I get it now." Tamiko interrupted. "You murdered a psychotic vampire and nearly every leading man in Hollywood because you love me."
"And I always will." Reagan assured. "And for the record, you picked a really good one. I mean, how often can a girl say that her mom's dating a vampire?"
Tamiko laughed. "Thanks. And just so you know, I think your half-alien boyfriend is decent too."
"That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Reagan said choked up in her voice. She embraced her mom in a warm hug.
