A scene opens up with Atomsk and TME talking.

We see the Vampire Queen as she left the Ice Kingdom and was able to find the old prison now turned base and made sure to not be seen.

When she was a distance away to observe things safely, she looked carefully under her umbrella and saw a large platoon of soldier, some looking extra fancy… she even saw Emerald, Canyon, Huntress, and Eruru leading the pack as Emerald walked ahead with Eruru, Huntress, and Canyon sitting on horses to keep them from getting tired.
'And there they are just like Finn said.' Marceline thought as she uses a special binocular to get a closer look at the group.
When she did, she saw that Huntress was talking with Emerald but thanks to a combo of distance and many foot and hoof falls, couldn't make anything out, the group did slow as they approached the former prison and start to go in it in at a single file way.

"Well for Emerald here, he would learn the ins and outs of the Prison here, we have a number of war criminals from those from… her side… and those from our side who tried to defect to the other side, honestly Lord Dark is a bit lenient in keeping them locked up here instead of just killing them for the dishonor, but considering what he has in mind for them here is karma, using tact and stuff to win some over to our side, and for those who are stubborn, pretty much have them fight daily in the main part of the prison so that they can train guards, if a prisoner dies, at least its an honerable battle to the death, if the prisoner survives, gets rewards and stuff, I'm not questing lord Dark Eruru but sometimes I think he can be a bit soft with traitors and what not here." Tai Ping said while Emerald hums.
"Maybe there is some kind of value than in letting them live like this… you said they are war criminals here mainly, instead of letting them waste away, he tries to win the lesser stubborn ones back into his army but makes sure they are well trained with incentive to win, and if they die, no real loss since they are criminals who betrayed us or we can turn the enemy against them and use their own tactics against them… honestly it may be time consuming but it's oddly simple and effective if done right." Emerald said while he puts his two cents in.
Marceline blinks a bit after hearing that.
'Damn… sounds to me like those guys need saving. Can be good allies to us.' She thought.

"No matter how you slice it, Dark and his forces are the intruders on Ooo, taking over kingdoms by force, forcing many into this war, pretty much causing people so many issues, people who human or not, have no choice but to pick a side so I can see the issues with loyalty and what not… Azure knows this since she can read minds and than some so Dark probably knows that as well, probably wants me to train here and learn about this army before I make a choice that impacts many here…" Emerald said while he closed one hand on reasons why Dark was no good on some level.
"And before you say he did things that better many, its a fact he put in that if he and his team were not on Ooo, your village would never have gotten involved so you can't just say it was a good twist of fate you live in the capital with Dark and everyone there… before you get onto me… I have reasons for not wanting to aid the rebels that you seem to be so hostile towards… I have no memories either way… I'm using pure logic of what I gathered before leaving so its not just me being cold hearted." "Really?... was this happening up until the war or did that change?... either way still a point in Dark's favor if this is true, pretty much shows Bubblegum at least at one point had no respect for privacy for her citizens and than some… granted from a report about her people exploding from getting to excited, pretty sure that was to help prevent that, but for other kingdoms… no… can't give her a win there since that is just an invasion of privacy." "Oh that's the tip of the iceberg. Before Dark came, I found one of Bubblegum plans in her study and I learned that she was gonna infiltrate the Flame Kingdom and use Ice King to attack their core so that bitch could try to get an audience with the flame Queen." Tai Ping said.
Marceline gave a light gasp as she covered her mouth to try and not make herself know, though Emerald and Eruru heard that but when they look over, saw nothing though Emerald rubs his chin.
"Curious… so even if Dark didn't invade, what Finn did pretty much prevented her from invading the Fire Kingdom with the former Ice King's help at least… still there would have been a civil war if she was caught… would she really do something as risky as that?... I heard the Ice King was an insane psychopath with a princess kidnap complex in other reports on the way here when I brought a folder of things on people of interest… would Bubblegum risk fire people's deaths and risk a war by doing what she was planning if Finn didn't take the crown of ice?" Emerald asked while he looks at where he figured someone was and if this was who he thought… well he glances at Eruru while keeping quiet since this could be interesting if this info was being heard by who they thought was there since this would make Bubblegum be seen in a VERY bad light.
Tai Ping crossed her arms.

All we need is the Queen of Flames… and the Candy Princess's records… if you have them and they are magically scanned and what not… should prove that Bubblegum was indeed planning that plan and going to try something with it… may even give her issues with the Ice Princes since like many say… if not for him and his army… would be simple to take down if he pulled his forces away." "Um Emerald… I'm not trying to be against that since that info is shocking but do you think Phoebe would betray Finn if she knew?"

Emerald said with a look that showed he was not pleased with what he learned as Eruru smirks at how this went since this just made it so Emerald distrusts Bubblegum immensely.

'This is bad… need to tell original me and then slap Bonnie before warning her.'

Emerald said while Canyon, Dusk, and Tai Ping looked shocked as Emerald's senses with wind magic felt something fly away while Tai Ping looked alarmed but Emerald held a hand up.
"No need to be alarmed… if this is who I think it is… this info could very well cause a rift between many since Marceline may not keep quiet about this, especially with recent reports saying she is in a relationship with the Queen of flames… in this case… its good we were spied on though that invisibility is way too dangerous… until she gasped, couldn't even sense her and only when I focused my senses could I even do that though… she felt off like her presence was barely there… maybe a trick she picked up?... either way… why waste time with spreading things and have doubts with her… why not let her take the info with iron clad certainty and do the work for us." Emerald said with a serious look in his eyes.

Marceline was quiet from this but she didn't want things to escalate.
"No… unless otherwise, we talk to Bonnie ourselves."
"And what if she denies it and tries to say that the enemy could be lying to try and put things under the rug, lets not kid ourselves me, we both know Bonnie is a manipulating woman, what makes you think she would say otherwise?" Her clone said as she looks worried and had a betrayed looked on her face.
"Yes… but since there's a war she wouldn't want people turning on her. But if worse comes to worse… we tell the others." Marceline said.
"Yes but… what would Pheebs think if we keep this from HER of all people and stuff and if we were too late in talking to Bonnie about this… what than?... this info will come to light, I saw the look on that Tai Ping woman's face… she wouldn't care if this info is leaked, fuck she may even speed things up and enjoy it… look… I'll dispell and stuff but either way… better act fast me because honestly… we both know once you get my memories and stuff… it may be hard to stay on Bonnie's side even if we don't go to the Dark Army for obvious reasons…" Clone Marceline says as she vanished and Marceline felt her full power return but… the feeling of that kind of rush well… it honestly didn't feel good with the info she found out… sure prisoners of war is one thing but… even if Bubblegum and the others were told… what good would that do when sooner or later, info to make Bubblegum of all people look bad would show and well… honestly all Marceline could do was grit her fangs and says this.
"Bonnie… you better have one hell of an explanation for this otherwise there WILL be hell to pay when I'm done with you." Marceline said to herself as she flew away and unknowingly Huntress, with Emerald, Tai Ping, Canyon, and Eruru showed when Huntress used a spell to make them blend in with their surroundings.
"Seems I was right, looks like Marceline's trust in the Candy Princess is shot, would take a miracle for Bubblegum to talk Marceline out of leaving her to this war and stuff… like it or not Bubblegum has Marceline as a threatening powerhouse so losing her will be a serious blow morally and powerwise." Emerald said in a calculating manner.
"I agree but she would still be a powerhouse to Finn nonetheless." Tai Ping said.
"True…. But without Bubblegum well… lets just say Finn's trust in Bubblegum will crumble when Marceline tells him about this… like it or not given things, Marceline may rely on Finn for mental support… as strong as she is, mentally in this report… she is a woman who relies on being loved by others… Finn may not leave her unguarded and Marceline may still protect her… but… there will be doubt on Bubblegum, there will be questions given her history, and given Bubblegum's history… only a matter of time till she, Marceline, or Finn breaks under the pressure of this War when Bubblegum has to defend her kingdom and try and keep the trust that she had… Dark and many others like you are thinking wrong… Bubblegum isn't the biggest link that the rebel army has… she is the weakest link of the group… after all… without trust… a rebel group with a slapdash army may as well be just simple fighters with their own goals… not unified at all." Emerald said as he walked back to the base as Tai Ping grins more at this.
"Hehe, I'm really liking this guy. Can see why you have the hots for him." Tai Ping said as she nudges Canyon.
Canyon though honestly was worried a lot… mainly because of what happened… a seed of doubt may as well plant in the Rebel army's minds… more so when Tai Ping mentioned using the info to really fuck with Bubblegum.
Eruru giggles when she heard all this.
"Hehe, honestly I'm loving this, seeds of doubt do may a enemy group not last long, like Emerald said, a miricle would have to happen to keep them together fully." Eruru said while she and Tai Ping left Canyon and Huntress alone… granted she may not be fully in this war but Huntress did give Canyon a somewhat worried look with Canyon doing the same.
"Huntress… considering you're carrying Dark's child and… any feelings you may have for him along with me being there for Emerald… it's obvious this situation is terrible." Canyon said.
"No kidding… honestly Canyon… I'm not sure what's scarier… the fact Emerald is so calm or the fact he pretty much planned this on the spot… honestly its like Dark knew he would be a weapon no matter what and stuff… though… what do you honestly think about this war?... who is right in the end?... say the rebels win… people like Bubblegum may not try what she did but… whats stopping her from going to kingdoms and spying and trying to harm many to get to their super weapons… honestly if anything… she maybe worse than Dark as far as we know since unlike Dark, he doesn't use underhanded tactics… not just my feelings but… from what I saw with his records of battle, he never liked it since it shows that if part of his army did twisted stuff, he would have considered it weakness." Huntress said while she had a worried look on her face since this info shook her up on who to trust… mating aside people on both sides has good reasons and bad for this war but now…
"I know. Don't forget that Dark has this bombs but now… I can't tell who to root for. Granted I'm worried for Finn and Phoebe." Canyon said.
"No kidding… hopefully Dark won't do anything drastic with the bomb recepie but he has kept his word on not trying to make another mushroom war… lets… just get something to eat, I'm eating for two now after all." Huntress said while she and Canyon start to head back.
Interestingly enough… for some reason nearby a cloth like object moved to show… Marceline?... granted she was shocked but… just what in the world?...
Turns out when Marceline made her clone with 10% of her power… her 10% power clone on the way back made another, this one with 2% power and was told that no matter what, she was to gather more info… granted what they learned so far was shocking but… either way getting more info on these guys would be better than just the original Marceline rushing back to the Candy Kingdom for answers… this Marceline has no camo suit but she was given the cardboard box from earlier and unlike the previous Marceline, this Marceline was much more stealth oriented… she followed carefully while invisible so that she could trail Huntress and Canyon for a bit… aside from info on some food they were going to eat, she went to look for Emerald and Tai Ping… after all if they thought Marceline was gone, they wouldn't expect another clone to show up to spy more… a twist in a twist, so simple yet may just work.
This results in the 2% power Marceline hiding in the cardboard box while near many crates while she made sure she wasn't seen when Emerald and Tai Ping were walking by.
"So now that Marceline is heading back, what kind of training will you have me do since I'll be working under you Mrs. Ping." Emerald said while he looks at Tai Ping mannerfully.
Tai Ping chuckles.
"Please, you can call me Tai or Ping. As for the training, I have a laundry list for you to try but not gonna make you go extreme."
"Very well, I'll wait here while you get the list, once I get it I'll work on the most important stuff." Emerald states while he had a serious look in his eyes.
"Alright, wait here." Tai Ping said as she went to get the list while 2% Marceline stays in the box.
Though Emerald looks at it and gave it a half lidded look.
"Considering its just us, you can come out of that box… I never saw any other style here, Bubblegum's lack of info must be hard on her if she didn't update the box your hiding in for the latest more sturdy models." Emerald said as he crossed his arms.
"Also to make sure I'm not listening in onto again, made a bubble of air around me… I can tell you're bent over in there and even how weak you are compared to that double and stuff… don't worry, I'm not your enemy… though that can change if you want to make a scene." Emerald said while his eyes glow ominously for a moment.
2% Marceline couldn't believe she was found out before she came out of the box.
"I definitely need a better hiding spot. Granted you can't do much since I'm a clone." She said.
"Well considering that body of yours, pretty sure I can do a lot with a nice woman like you, but given my current mentality, I'm not a rape happy man… though given what you heard most likely I'm curious… what do you honestly think right now of this situation… I'm a blank slate seemingly working for your enemy yet… are you my enemy?... from what I gathered your a person who is fickle with many yet cherish your loved ones… especially Bubblegum… yet…" Emerald said when he circles Marceline and rubs a hand on her waist while he circles her.
"From what I also gathered… she didn't respect you enough to keep your father figure out of any plans of hers… honestly… I would be livid if I was more emotional and what not… so tell me… issues with the dark army aside… whats your plan if things with Bubblegum go south?... tell Phoebe?... let her know that things are going bad in a number of ways?... or try and keep quiet if your original self and Bubblegum try and keep things under wraps… honestly… a woman like you may lie but with enough proof like this… I have a hard time seeing you and Bubblegum being well… intimate anytime soon to put it lightly… and than there are things with Finn…" Emerald said while he moved to get before Marceline.
"Honestly… unless you want to lose a lot of lovers… your original may have no choice but to talk… especially given everything you know now… Finn the ice prince saved Simon from killing flame people… but he never knew how twisted Bubblegum was right?... in a nutshell Finn saved your father figure from a life of possible crime… yet its just that… if Finn stole the crown and stuff… if he didn't… think Bubblegum wouldn't use the Ice King to her advantage… we both know what I'm doing before you say much… just… tell me… am I wrong in what I'm assuming?" Emerald said while he teased Marceline by petting her waist as Tai Ping returned, though after her surprise, she smirks as she kept quiet around a corner.
2% Marceline shudders a bit.
"I… don't know. The info is still shocking. I'm hoping originally me does something or else Bonnie would lose everything."
"Let me ask you just two questions than… is she worth it?... sure… say you win this war… but you know Bubblegum more than I… will she try this plan again once everything is over with?... let me be frank… honestly your skills could be used better here… appreciated by many… sure… you can leave without issues… but tell me… does Bubblegum appreciate you?... does she respect you?... she didn't if I can put my two cents with her pretty much planning to use your father figure as a weapon… so Marceline the Vampire Queen… what do you say… work with me and we do things my way in this war when the time comes?... I can promise you unlike Bubblegum… while I can make plans… they are not two faced… unlike with Finn… I can think of plans without needing to be backed up by a spectre trapped in a mask like crown… who knows… maybe I could even help Simon from it… as long as you're willing to work with me… I'm willing to do everything I can when the time is right to help you… I won't lie.. This may mean betraying those you care for… but… ask yourself this… in the long run… who would care for you more… an honest person like me to a fault… people who value strength like the Dark Army…. Or a two faced bitch who would pretty much, if not stopped, use your family as a weapon to try and harm another of your loved ones…. Your dating Phoebe the Flame Queen right?... think she doesn't have some way to use that relationship against you?... again… you can fly away and ignore me or not… the choice is yours and yours alone… I'm not forcing you to do anything… the choice is fully and utterly yours." Emerald said while he held a hand out to see if Marceline would take it or not.
2% Marceline looks at Emerald.
"But… if I join you… it would mean betraying my friends. Granted Bonnie's actions are… very questionable. But I don't know if original me would leave Phoebe and there's Finn. You may not remember but… Finn still does. He still considers you like a brother." She said.
"Maybe… honestly asking you to betray your friends and loved ones is a bit much so how about this…" Emerald said as he gripped Marceline on her head but instead of kissing her… he pulled her so that he could speak in her ear quietly enough that not even Tai Ping could hear and 2% Marceline got wide eyes.
"Y-You… are you serious?" 2% Marceline said as Emerald lets her go.
"Indeed… just return to your original self and if the thing I told you comes to pass… feel free to switch sides… if you ever want to talk or fool around, I don't mind helping you relax… after all… lovers shouldn't stress out loved ones and I wouldn't mind seeing you on the loving side." Emerald said with a small smirk as he lets Marceline go.
2% Marceline blushes a bit.
"I'll… think about it." She surprisingly said.
"Good… better get going then, try and remember your nude before me and rather appealing… oh and get a more up to date cardboard box if you want to sneak in… the stealth was fine but you're dealing with guys and gals who know magic and other ways to sense you so try and not think we may get the wrong idea, hell heard a few people suggest cutting a hole in an old box they saw and see if they put a lady in it for an impromptu Gloryhole moment… better be careful if they were talking about your box." Emerald said with a somewhat amused look..
2% Marceline sweatdrops when the box was mentioned before she fully poofed away.
Emerald chuckles before he looks at Tai Ping.
"So… issues with what I said?" Emerald said while he watched Tai ping get near him.
"Well the issue was the Vampire Queen being here but quite amusing how you're trying to convince someone to change sides. Lord Dark would be proud of you." Tai Ping said with an amused look.
"Well considering how little Marceline has connections to others aside the Queen of flames, Ice Prince, and Candy Princess… better to try and get as many nice women on my side that I can trust… after all pranks aside you should know Marceline more if you saw her in the past." Emerald said while he wondered if Marceline and Tai Ping had any history together, friends or otherwise.
Tai Ping was thoughtful.
"Wouldn't say met but saw her when she did those concerts but have heard of her actions. Though I want Bubblegum to suffer, you're trying to steal a woman from Finn."
"And what is wrong with that… what many seem to misunderstand is one key factor… people say I was like a brother to Finn… I have no memories of that time… granted I won't try and get rid of Finn since he may be like a brother to me and has genuine good motives for Ooo, but I'm no fool… memory loss aside, I'm not an idiot… Finn is a man with the mind of a child yet to grow… I have the mind of a man yet the lack of memories make me supposedly naive so I have to use pure logic and reasoning… similar to Bubblegum I may go too far, but not to the level she is at… and logic dictates that unless things change, whether we like it or not, Finn at best maybe an enemy to repel instead of kill, I have no memories, experiences, or any feelings of this Finn since I haven't seen a picture of him at least… even the reports of his current self show at best a golden mask wearing royal with ice powers and at best a image of a kid… may seem cold of me but fact of the matter is Finn is a stranger to me… I won't be purely hostile but I won't let emotions get the better of me if we cross paths… I may force him away but I won't just let him bring me back to that bitches side at least… as for Marceline… why not?... she is a nice looking woman… and last I checked she barely has a thing for Bubblegum lately thanks to the war, more so she is in a thing with the Queen of flames… once this info gets out… may as well plan for a meeting with her and Marceline later after I speak with Dark about this… any thoughts on how twisted I became compared to past reports you may have had on me?" Emerald said while Tai Ping smirks as she rubs a finger on Emerald's chest.
"Hehe… I have say… very hot." Tai Ping said as she was turned on to how wicked Emerald was.
Emerald looks amused by this as he looks at Tai Ping.
"So… about that list.." Emerald said as Tai Ping silenced him with a finger on his lips.
"How about we worry about the list later and do… something else." Tai Ping said while smirking.
"You sure?... while I'm all for a good time given Canyon and Azure helped teach me about sex, don't I need training and stuff?" Emerald said while Tai Ping looks amused.
"Consider it a reward from a superior to a subordinate who helped with fucking the enemy over in such short time… besides I'll have a messanger let Lord Dark know what happen on the way to my room so follow me… besides if you heard anything about me… I like to have fun with strong people so lets see how well you stack compared to the prisoners here." Tai Ping said while Emerald shrugged as he followed Tai Ping while he did wonder what she was thinking.
'Hehehe…. This is getting exciting. I gave Emerald good information, now Marceline knows and no doubt, the Vampire Queen will join us as we bring Ooo to a new age.' Tai Ping thought.
Meanwhile… as Marceline approached the Candy Kingdom… she blinks when her 2% clone's memories returned to her with her full power and Marceline had a really conflicted look now when she honestly didn't know what to do… but she did get a determined look when she looks at the Candy Kingdom in the distance.
"Bonnie… you better be sane when I talk to you because otherwise… I may have to go to Emerald's side." Marceline said.
As Marceline flew by, oddly enough Finn was walking through the castle towards Bubblegum's room with Phoebe next to her.
"So your saying that PB maybe able to find a way to fix my sword even if we can't find all the shards?" Finn said while Phoebe shrugged.
"Maybe, honestly I can't be 100% but knowing her brains, she would probably say something like this…" Phoebe said before she rubs her head and gave a good shapeshifted impression of Bubblegum.
"Finn, you know magic is unexplained science, just give me a few minutes and I can have it working with a paperclip, piece of string, and a piece of my gummy hair if needed." Phoebe said making Finn laugh at how on point Phoebe was before Phoebe's head looks normal again.
"Hahaha!… Oh Glob, that's funny Phoebe." Finn said as he laughs more.
"Hehe, thanks, I had practice… planning on using that with some kind of joke at the-!" Phoebe tried to say as they heard Marceline's voice and boy was she fucking pissed.
"You have a lot to explain Bubblegum!" Marceline said in a way that shocked Phoebe and Finn since they NEVER heard Marceline say Bubblegum like that and it was from Bubblegum's lab.
"Was that Marcy?" Finn said.
"Y-Yeah… but she sounds pissed." Phoebe said as the duo look at one another and rush to her lab… when they got there they saw a ROYALLY pissed off yet oddly restrained Marceline whose eyes were a dark red and her hair looked a bit wild as Bubblegum had wide eyes near her desk.
When the duo look over, Marceline frowns.
"Oh… hey you two… sorry but can you two leave?... trust me I'm NOT in the mood to argue… a normally chill woman like me… you know something bad is about to go down and stuff… you can stay and watch if you want but trust me, what I have to say may as well change what you see about Bubblegum here." Marceline said further confusing many, especially Bubblegum about the lack of the Bonnie name… guess Marceline just got there and sounded more pissed than ever when she thought of a lot of things and her look screamed to demand answers to questions she didn't get yet.
"What do you mean?" Finn.
"Marcy, let's not get hasty here. Let's just talk civil." Bubblegum said.
"Oh trust me, depending on how things go from here, I can go from civil to pissed enough to let you stew with the Dark army with no support from me… tell me… before Finn vanished… did you have certain… plans for the fire kingdom?... plans that if the Dark Army didn't get involved, you would pretty much pull a stunt that would have betrayed my trust entirely?" Marceline growls while she looks extremely fierce now.
"Wait what?!" Phoebe said when her kingdom was mentioned.
Bubblegum gulps.
"Look Marcy, you don't understand. I was worried and desperate when Finn vanished, crime rates went up and I was paranoid that any of the royals turned on me."
"Don't under… Bubblegum are you trying to piss me off?... I'll admit, I'm not smart like you but we both know that with our age comes one thing… wisdom even if we suck at using it… you more than me… you could have made robo guards like that Rattleballs guy I saw a few times, you could have powered up your guards LONG ago… you could have done a LOT of things instead of spy on people and kingdoms not your own… want to know something… I learned when I spied on Tai Ping, Emerald, Canyon, Huntress, and that Eruru women when I heard her name… that you had plans in the past to have Simon fucking freeze the Ice Kingdom core to get to something that Phoebe had… you can argue and say that it never happened, and maybe I could get the plan if that failure of a father of hers was in charge but Phoebe was in charge of the Fire Kingdom for years… and if Finn didn't steal the crown… you would have tried to use Simon… I know you Bubblegum… you would do ANYTHING for your kingdom… do you know how betrayed I feel right now thanks to learning that… it doesn't matter if this plan was something as a contingency… the fact you would USE Simon, even AFTER all you knew even back than… do you know how much of a punch to my trust that is!... give me one good reason not to fucking spite you by leaving this place and going to join the Dark Army or something because Emerald found me out and told me a lot of things that really put your motives into question… if you were not busy with the Dark Army, how many times would you have fucked privacy and done things like that?... how many times would you put YOUR kingdom first and everyone else second… this isn't a relationship issue Bubblegum because now… its between YOU… and everyone else… your paranoia got you into this so try and explain to me why I should stay here… say you win… whats to stop you from trying to pull a stunt like this with other kingdoms huh?... whats to say we are not being used to get rid of Dark when we have someone possibly just as bad if not worse than him right before me!?" Marceline said while she had a look so enraged that even as tears flow from her eyes, she showed a look of absolute distrust of Bubblegum right now which showed how badly Bubblegum's plan effected her… enacted or not…
Finn and Phoebe were shocked but Phoebe was now mad when she hears what Bubblegum would've done.
"N-Now wait. It may sound bad but I wasn't gonna go through with it. I honestly forgot about that idea when the Dark Lord attack and I hadn't thought about it til you brought it up." Bubblegum said.
Marceline this time just had a surprisingly blank look that form as she lowered her hands and a chill went up many's backs when she speaks.
"Are you kidding me Bonnie?... your lying to me even after all this?... we both know thats just you trying to cover your fucking ass… lets not kid ourselves…" Marceline said before she moved before Bubblegum and looked her right in the eyes.
"Just the fact you used someone in a plan to possibly weaken and potentially KILL people with a sweet man as nice as Simon who saved my life time and time again as a child… I told you he was not well in the head, I told you that despite all that… I loved him like a father and even his Ice King side was life a goofball uncle I would have had to say goodbye too soon if I was lucky… you and I broke up in the past because of how you and I couldn't mix when it came to your kingdom… you know what Bonnie… fuck you… fuck you… and this fucking kingdom that you seem to love more than anyone…" Marceline said as she gained veins on her head as she turned away and floats to a nearby window and opened it while she pulled out her umbrella.
"You don't need to worry about me joining the Dark army… but you can forget any aid from me from here on out… Phoebe… Finn… I'm sorry but… I can't deal with her lies anymore… if you didn't take the crown from Ice King Finn… Bonnie would have used Simon for murder… and I can't take that she would lie about that… I know her… and I know she would have back than given the chance… if you two want to stay with her since your fighting the dark army… fine… I'll come and protect you two if you need my help… but Bonnie… rot in the deepest pit of the Nightosphere… I can't believe I tried to love you again…" Marceline said while she gave the group the middle finger.
"Oh… and just a FYI… seems Tai Ping will be sending that fucking plan of yours a propganda to make people question you Bonnie… good luck trying to recover from that… oh… and one more thing… I don't blame her for going to the Dark side so to speak since I heard as well you barely did any investigations, if any at all, and just used people in your cells for your sick experiments… try and stomach that Finn if your able." Marceline said before she gave one final thing.
"Send people after me Bonnie… and I'll end them… for you and your people… I have no more care." Marceline states coldly as she floats out of the castle with a blank look on her face while she cries silently.
"Marcy come back!" Bubblegum said but sadly, the Vampire Queen was gone.
Bubblegum looks at Phoebe and Finn.
"Guys… I'm sorry what you heard but you have to believe me, I wasn't gonna go through with it. Even if the war was over. We need to find a way to stop Tai Ping from spreading those files."
"Seriously Bubblegum?... you expect me to just ignore the fact that you had plans for my kingdom's core?... war aside if that didn't happen… Marceline had a point… you had more things to worry about with Dark but… you would have tried that plan if Finn didn't take the crown… seriously… what gave you the right to decide what kingdom was a threat or not?... sure my kingdom may have been labeled as evil but we were working on changing that… did you have no respect for me at all?" Phoebe said with narrowed eyes.
Bubblegum was taken back from that question.
"N-No I do. You've proven to me you're a great ruler. Better then your father was."
Phoebe in turn narrowed her eyes more as she turns away.
"You know.. Your EXTREMELY lucky Bubblegum… I may not betray anyone since it would be dishonest of me… but don't lie… it's because my father was in power at the time that plan was most likely made for… from what Marceline said, that plan was made with Ice King in mind… in a way… Finn taking the crown… Finn vanishing for 4 years… he saved my kingdom if he prevented that plan from being used… but… just the fact that you may have had to use that plan, even if I was possibly in charge since I took my kingdom over shortly after my break up with Finn back than… you know what… I won't give you any punishment since there could be a chance that at the very least, with me in charge you could have scrapped that plan… but knowing you back than… potential spying on kingdoms… the thought you would use Simon, Marceline's father fighter… well… I may not give you a punishment… at least… not till this war is over since we have the Dark Army to deal with… Finn on the other hand… I'll let him decide what to do since he has the crown of ice and is probably your best ally here next to my kingdom since he saved your ass… he took the key piece for that fucked up plan… the crown which to Finn and many more, house the spirit of Simon… lets see you try and explain a peaceful way out with those two since Simon as Ice King would have been gullible enough to fall for any plan you had if you sweet talked him… think on that since while I can't say much for you in the present… if the Dark Army didn't invade and Finn didn't take the crown… just the chance of you trying to harm my kingdom in any way if I was in control… that hurts." Phoebe said as she walked from the room and she looks at Bubblegum as she gripped the door.
"Good luck with Finn and Simon Bubblegum… you'll need it for them more than Marceline and I." Phoebe said as she shuts it with her face looking even though one could see the hurt in her eyes.
Bubblegum was stunned before she looks at Finn and boy… he was not happy… even though he was wearing a mask.
"Finn… P-!" She tried to say but Finn stopped her.
"Don't!" Finn said as a chill filled the room when he barely controlled his powers over ice though a frost was seen on the ground while Finn grits his teeth behind his mask of ice.
"PB… do you have any idea of how fucked up that plan was?... honestly I have worked with you for years…. 4 years ago and even further back… I knew you had some questionable stuff that you kept locked away… I knew you were a bit control crazed sometimes… but I never expected you to do… all of that or plan it at least!... what the fuck were you thinking!?" Finn growls as he tried to reign in his powers more though Simon appearing and placing a hand on Finn's shoulder seemingly calming him did make Finn look at him with some bewilderment.
"Mind if I speak with her, Finn?" Simon asked while he had an oddly calm look on his face.
Finn didn't know why but he nods his head.
Bubblegum though had a bad feeling where this may lead to.
"Simon, wait. I may know what you will say but please, I was paranoid and desperate."
Simon however held up a hand and calmly speaks.
"Princess… answer my three questions and depending on them, I may let Finn go wild and just leave your army to the Dark Army alone or talk him into aiding you more… be truthful and this may be good for you since this is a real lesson learned… you pretty much betrayed Marceline's trust by coming up with this plan alone, the possibility of you using this plan if Phoebe was in charge was also a betrayal… don't make me regret telling Finn you betrayed him for a third strike… the ONLY reason why I'm calm compared to others is two reasons… one… that plan was not enacted… and two… given all that happened, I doubt you would use that plan given the trauma that happened just now in losing Marceline and losing Phoebe's trust… don't lose Finn's by lying or making up things on the spot… as insane as I was as Ice King, I could still see how well off your kingdom was… technologically, its brilliant… you made it from the ground up… you pretty much became obsessed over it… however that obsession to keep you kingdom safe corrupted you a bit… this kingdom to me may as well be my crown that corrupted me… wearing or ruling it over time made you forget that your just as much a person as everyone else, playing Glob with life with your citizens most likely thought you were above morals at the times… so consider this a reality check your highness… answer these three questions only… and depending on the three answers… this could end with me helping you salvage some stuff on a few conditions…. Or Finn and I just leaving… with my body as well since I wouldn't trust my body with you if you don't answer these." Simon said as he adjusts his spectral glasses for a moment.
Bubblegum pales.
"Please don't. My kingdom can't survive an attack by the Dark Lord on its own."
"Thats the reason for these questions your highness… this is to try and gain some trust since what I have to say may as well make or break your kingdom… we're dealing with the Dark Army that is a fact but answer me question 1… WHY should we help you since even if by some chance we win… whats to stop you from pulling similar stunts with other kingdoms if not the firekingdom?... whats to say were taking down one evil and now have to deal with another with you yourself… before you say how dare you… you were planning, at least in theory to use me as a weapon before Finn took my crown so I believe out of everyone I can say how dare you possibly say that your highness… so in a nutshell my question is as followed… why should Finn and I aid you when all we are doing is technically aiding a potential second evil?... keyword on potential since spying is questionable but actually acting on certain plans and not using them are another." Simon said while he had his hands behind his back.
Bubblegum gulps.
"I'm not evil even if the plan I have or did have makes me one. I was only thinking about my people. But as I said, I didn't go through with it. I had a sinking feeling if I did, I may fail or the Fire Kingdom would found clues which would lead back to me. Besides I've been giving support every which way and even provides the humans home here."
"Isn't that just because currently, we all have a common enemy?... honestly knowing you as I do now, you could be just doing this to make sure your kingdom at least survives… you said again and again… your kingdom… your kingdom… tell me… why just your kingdom?... sure your people may lose a home but given what we all heard about Dark, I highly doubt he would harm easily exploadable people, if anything before that happens Finn here could take every citizen of yours to the Ice Kingdom… humans included meaning you don't have to force yourself to babysit more or less… its true that you never enacted that plan meaning you technically didn't harm anyone… but to Marceline my daughter in all but blood… Phoebe… a trusted Ally and friend who feels betrayed… even Finn here is your knight in icy armor who just heard you would have harmed innocents just to get to something in the fire kingdom… just the fact you would use an innocent man in a plan that may harm many is like a slap in their collective faces… tell me… if you did enact the plan… did you even account for those who were sick in the fire kingdom at the time?... the elderly?... those with weak bodies who would most likely die if their core was weakened?... no matter how you slice it, I and Ice King would have had fiery blood on our hands and while Ice King would just brush it off… I would have been horrified by what I did in my insane state… sure you say that you wouldn't enact the plan… but thats just it… a very scary, and a very real possibility of you actually using that plan… if Finn didn't take the crown of Ice, you most likely would have done something if it meant your kingdom's safety right?" Simon calmly said as he adjusts his glasses one more time.
Bubblegum gulped.
"Well… I didn't actually thought that through on some bases." She said.
"I see… well to my final question your highness… and DON'T bullshit me otherwise Finn and I will have his forces leave…" Simon said while he actually made Finn jolt when Simon cursed and Simon gave Bubblegum a cold look.
"Say we win this… whats stopping you from just trying stuff like this?... its a fact now that Marceline may not want to date you anymore… its rocky at best with Phoebe's kingdom now since the info you had stored at the prison which is a mystery of why you had it there to begin with will be pretty much used to slander your name, and Finn and I may be able to help you… but only on two conditions your highness… if you agree to two conditions… one condition each to make up for the betrayals you have Finn and I… we will work with you till this war is over… if not… good luck fighting the Dark army without Minerva, the ice army, and potentially the Fire Kingdom who may just try and join the dark army to spite you once this info is out." Simon said while he continues to give Bubblegum a cold look.
Bubblegum really paled at this.
Sadly… no other choice.
"What are your demands?" She said.
"Simple… first off once this war is over and things settle… you step down as the Candy Princess and have a successor take over, you can even make a child with someone or have a replacement picked out but this ISN'T negotiable… this kingdom pretty much corrupted you into a paranoid state… you maybe sweet and nice to many… but even sweet people can go bad if they pull some shitty stunts… take me for example… I used the crown of ice to protect Marceline till I nearly went mad, and you saw how it twisted me into a man that is a shell of his former self… THAT is my first condition for our aid." Simon said with a look that showed he wouldn't budge from that condition at all.
Bubblegum was shocked.
"What?!… then where am I supposed to live if I step down?"
Simon shrugged a bit at this.
"You're a smart woman, I never said you couldn't use your resources to make a place away from the kingdom, can even live in it, but you heard my condition… you're not fit to rule since this plan once out WILL have people question your morals… they will want answers… doing this is probably the BEST way to even save yourself since if not done… you may as well risk war with the war happy Fire Kingdom and last I checked, they were the strongest in power in this war as your allies with Finn's army being a close second, granted he may not get in the way of that fight for reasons, but point is… believe it or not this condition is to save your kingdom your highness…. The Dark Army will use this info and while some may question the authenticity… after what Phoebe found out… think anyone will doubt her if she has people watch your kingdom like a hawk?... don't think your the only smart person in this room… I maybe a shell of my former self, but I'm older than you and Marceline and learned MANY things before and after the mushroom war." Simon said as he gave Bubblegum a serious look.
Bubblegum was quiet for a bit before sighing.
"Alright… I'll agree. But if that happens, I'll either leave Ooo or this planet completely. Not even tell the successor how to run this place."
"Fair enough but you have one thing to do before you try either of those for my second condition… try and regain Finn, Phoebe, and Marceline's forgiveness… NONE of them deserved what happened to them… Marceline was the closest thing to a lover who was equal to you in your eyes and enacting this plan or not, you tried to use me as a weapon which may have pushed her over the edge given your past… she may even go to the Dark army not to fight but to just get away from you… Phoebe here is for all intents and purposes going to be further angered when she realizes this since she and Phoebe were dating and stuff… given the *Ahem* lifestyle you and Marceline had, sharing lovers was probably the spice thing for your love life and stuff… anyway…. As for Finn… minus four years when he was asleep… you OWE him big time… now and for what he did in the past… like it or not he is probably your best bet in winning this war and while I can talk him into helping you, more so now that I had you agree to stand down as a princess… but Finn here heard everything about you… he saw your questionable acts… he pretty much saved you through thick and thin and anger aside, probably will even now if reluctantly…. Do you think I'm wrong?... look at Finn and tell me…. Does he deserve any of this?... remember he maybe an adult… but mentally… he is a kid who is being forced to grow fast so he can adapt to this new war ravanaged Ooo… its not something I would wish on any child but here we are." Simon said while he gestured for Bubblegum to look at Finn and despite the mask he wore… Bubblegum could see tears frozen on his chin and fall to the ground to shatter a few times.
Bubblegum sees the look and knew Simon was right.
"Okay… I can try with Finn and Phoebe. But Marceline is out of the question. She said so herself that I'm dead to her. Not her exact words but she implied it fully."
"Your highness…" Simon said as he gave her a half lidded look.
"We both know thats bullshit… Marceline may hold a grudge and sure, if you try and go to her now… may as well be impossible… but regain Finn and Phoebe's trust… and they may help you… forgiveness is a road that is not easy sometimes… besides… with how many women Finn lost so far… I'm sure deep down he doesn't want to lose you despite his anger and what not… probably a reason for his frustration I feel from him… if Finn, a person who pretty much loved you is like this… I would bet my entire being that Marceline once calmed will have conflicting thoughts since this info was just found out and it just made you look bad… this was probably a thing the Dark Army planned on the spot… and sure… it worked to an extent… but this also gave us some ammo to use since now once we tell Marceline you'll be stepping down after this war… you think she will not be shocked enough to hear things out and than some once we tell her this bit of news… the main thing that caused you two to break up will be gone after all." Simon said while he adjusts his glasses one more time and smiles lightly at Bubblegum before he looks at Finn.
"Finn… all I can say is this… don't let Bubblegum down OK?... after all you heard… your trust in her may hit hard… but I doubt you would abandon her and her people right?" Simon said while he had a serious look in his eyes.
Finn, with tears still leaking, was quiet.
"Despite the plans she had… I won't let the Candy People down as they are innocent in all this." He said.
"Indeed… and who knows… since Bubblegum owes you big time… why not try and make a child with her you can raise to help make sure the Candy Kingdom is ruled by someone who won't try anything with other kingdoms… could even help with stress and stuff right?" Simon said with an amused look was he noticed Bubblegum blush brightly from this.
Finn blushes as well.
"Well… could work. Granted this will be my first child… and heir."
"Well that will be something to look forward to… anyway since we're in agreement with at least Bubblegum stepping down and Bubblegum working to regain your trust… do me a favor Finn… and be extra rough since Marceline won't be here for a while to really punish this soon to be dethroned Candy Princess." Simon said while he looks amused.
"If you will excuse me, I need to plan some things out now more than ever so I'll be brainstorming with others in the mask of ice on how to make sure some plans go well… your highness… good luck in getting the trust of three back… I really do wish you luck there." Simon said as he vanished leaving Bubblegum and Finn alone in the room now.
Bubblegum looks at Finn.
"I'm sorry Finn. But I am adamant. Don't know how long the war will last, but I will leave after losing everything."
Finn was quiet for a moment before he spoke.
"PB… I just want to know one thing… did you have ANY respect for any of us?... like all the work I did for you… Marceline… and Phoebe?... because as far as I know… many of us were friends or more… I just want to know… Marceline aside… did you think Phoebe and I were not able to do things… is that why you had that plan?... is that why you never gave me the time of day instead of being honest and stuff?" Finn asked since it was like a kettle of emotions were unbottled in him all at once and he just wanted to know some things.
Bubblegum sighs.
"To be honest… I had some doubts about Phoebe being Queen. I thought she would turn out worse as her father. So I kept an eye on her… just in case. But there was her unstable matrix from the past. I told you before, even though you didn't listen to the warning. As for you Finn… I was trying to let you down in a calm way but… that backfired greatly."
"No kidding… look PB… it… may take awhile before I can trust you again… but until this war is over… can I trust you at least to not try and screw us over until this war ends?... maybe stupid of me to ask but… Huntress… Marceline… I… just lost them… it maybe a long time before I see them again… I… I… I don't want to lose anyone else!" Finn said as he starts to cry a bit reminding Bubblegum that he maybe a man but mentally he is still a growing kid who needs a few more years to mature so this was hitting him harder than most.
Bubblegum didn't know why but she went to Ice Prince and hugged him.
"I'm sorry for failing you Finn."
All Finn did for now was just hug Bubblegum and cried more as he pretty much let all the emotions he was bottling in out… as he cried more… the scene fades to black as this chapter ends… how would the rebel army fair now that there was such a large devide between the three royal powerhouses that helped make the resistance up… where was Marceline going after feeling so much betrayal for this info she found out… and how will many deal with the info going to be sent out soon on Bubblegum's plan for the fire kingdom before all this started… honestly… it was hard to say… but hopefully some things will look up once things calm down in SOI… until than… see you next time.
