A scene opens up with Atomsk and TME talking.
"OK… last I checked, looks like Dark and Azure will be heading to the Badlands for Cedric given what happened to him and stuff… given we have the ceasefire before the tournament happens so we can have some things happen while Dark and Azure head there… got any ideas for what the group can do while we think of ideas?" TME said while he looks at Atomsk curiously.
Atomsk was thoughtful.
"Hmmm… they find clues to where Cedric can be, they find the location. Maybe they will be in disguise till they find Cedric doing an important speech. We did say he was a king figure of sorts. Maybe he can be like a second in command type of thing while the actual ruler… hmmm can be Surge… unless Maite?"
"Hehe works for me, could be interesting if Surge and Maite come to Ooo to see what Finn and Emerald are like if Dark has no interest in the duo for reasons, either from Surge's mentality and language to Maite and her not being interested in a guy who at best has 20 or so years left on his lifespan and stuff." TME said while he looks amused though reminds that Lillum only gave at best a 10 year boost so Dark has 20 years at best to use right now unless he used the Lich's power again which would take parts of his life to use.
"Nice, also Cedric would have an… apprentice of sorts if you remember that idea." Atomsk said.
"No I don't… but can use it either way, just need to make sure it fits well… still we should get in the story started officially before we spoil more." TME said while he rubs his chin.
"Yeah, good point." Atomsk said.
"Nice… so do we skip to when Dark and Azure get to the Badlands or do we funnily enough cause a funny moment and have Finn and Emerald run into Dark on the way back to the Candy Kingdom and have them join?... would save time and they would be curious on the badlands and how its handling the war and its ceasefire… could also give a possible idea in the future when the tournamnet is over on maybe a new antagonist?" TME said while he grins at some ideas in mind.
"Hmmmm… go to the funny route." Atomsk said.
"Alright… to Emerald and Finn it is as they work their way back to Tai Ping's base…" TME said while the scene shifts to…
Ooo/ unknown time since last chapter/ Ice Kingdom border/ Emerald, Finn, Shade, Aiag, Tai Ping, Bubblegum, Lillum, Marceline, Phoebe, some Flame soldiers and Ice knights
"OK… still not sure why we're getting this level of security just to bring Tai Ping back to her base and stuff…" Emerald said while he sat on a horse in his old Ice Knight armor that looked similar to the Overlord Armor he wore during the attack on the Candy Kingdom from Dark's forces for current looks while Shade sat before him while she enjoyed the seat with Emerald holding her so to speak.
"Well you never know what can happen even during a ceasefire." Finn said.
"Maybe… and while I get Bubblegum coming with Tai Ping here to help make up with prisoners, why are you here Marceline?, Phoebe?... pretty sure you two would be racing to the Fire Kingdom by now." Emerald said while he looks at them with glowing green eyes… the helmet had some shadows covering his face since there was no faceplate and two green eyes were only seen.
"We did, but thought it would be better to join you guys." Marceline said.
"Yeah… even called CB and the Royal Guard and they are taking my kids to the Fire Kingdom for protection in a secure route there… like Finn said you never know… honestly the Flame guards here since you don't remember actually work for Finn here since he saved their lives… only Ice Kingdom employed guys are here though they won't hesitate to defend me given I was their Queen first." Phoebe said with a smile on her face while she rides a Flame wolf while Marceline was riding in a fancy carriage so she could relax without the umbrella holding though she still has it just in case… she was sunproof now thanks to the wish granting Shade did but it was mainly habit now and she was still adjusting with her eyes to the sunlight sometimes.
"She had a point." Finn said.
"Hehe, yeah dude… besides you're the daddy of Phoebe's kid… same with Finn here after that time so may as well make sure our men stay intact." Marceline said making Finn blush while it was hard to tell what Emerald felt… though Shade smirks when she felt something poke her backside a bit on the saddle and wasn't a part of the saddle thats for sure.
"I think someone is a bit… worked up now." Shade teased.
"Oh really?... well why not have Lillum enchant this carriage and-!" Marceline tried to say as she and many stop all of a sudden knocking her off her seat… she than pushed herself up while she rubs her forehead.
"OK… whats with the sudden stop." Marceline said while she grabbed her umbrella… when she peaked out… she got wide eyes when she saw a large group of Dark army soldiers and Dark and Azure were traveling a small distance away though looks like they were not heading their way persay but given they crossed paths… looks like talks would happen as Marceline rubs her head again.
"Oh… thats for the sudden stop." Marceline said as Dark and Azure had the group come close as Dark looks at Finn.
"Hello… strange to see you traveling in these lands Finn… figured you would be in the Ice Kingdom or one of your territories getting ready for the tournament." Dark said while he wore his black helmet that hid his face from view as he sat on a black colored horse with powerful muscles that looked like a deadly warhorse given the armor on it.
"Well we were taking Tai Ping back before seeing you two here." Finn said.
"Hmmm…. Interesting…" Dark said as Azure spoke.
"Tai Ping… and Bubblegum have a child… same with Emerald and Finn… with the Queen of Flames… many heirs and more… seems Aiag here… is also… bondmate to Finn now…" Azure said when she saw Aiag with the group and seems she used her powers to read some things while she rides on a carriage with a couple warhorses and had a few abnormally powerful guard like demons driving it… Lillum on her end raised an eyebrow when she saw them emitting an abnormal amount of demonic energy… they were doing nothing but given they were with Azure, most likely her own personal guards.
"Yeah well mainly were being good people in making sure no one on your side or our side does anything stupid." Lillum said while Dark hums.
"I see… well as long as thats all your doing, dropping people off I have no issues… but remember Ice King… this treaty is only in effect as long as your forces and mine don't cause trouble… remember that if you want to try and free prisoners… Tai Ping wouldn't allow that so cause trouble for her, this War resumes in full." Dark said like it was a promise though he didn't sound aggressive, hell he even looks away when he looks in a certain direction for some reason.
Phoebe did frown.
"We remember."
"Yeah, so keep your goons from getting rape happy or something." Marceline said as Dark looks at her.
"Like your armies are all innocent, pretty sure some on your side would love to dominate my forces, mainly from the demons you got… still we can sit here and go back and fourth on morals all day but I have business in the badlands to take care of." Dark said as Emerald speaks.
"Badlands?" Emerald said as Eruru, in the carriage with Azure popped her head out.
"Yeah my brother had issues with Dark and this treaty so Azure sent him flying into the ocean… next thing we know Azure says he is in the badlands right now and… what was he doing again Azure?" Eruru said when she looks at Azure again with a confused look.
"From memory… he's like a king… or in this case… acting second in command… last time I check." Azure said.
"Right… that second in command thing is new… anyway we're going to get my brother since he REALLY misunderstood things and boy will Garnet and Tibet have words for him when we get there." Eruru said while a door opened and Tibet, as a reminder, Tibet was a large silver furred wolf humanoid woman who towered over many and Garnet was a red furred Cat woman with a robotic arm on her left side… anyway the duo exit and stretched.
"Yeah… need to kick Cedric's ass for making us worry." Garnet said while she cracked her neck a couple times.
"No shit." Tibet said as most blinked when they saw Tibet and how big she is in size.
"Right… hmmm… hey Finn, sorry but I'm going to go with Dark to the Badlands… need to make sure that nothing bad happens otherwise many may think someone assassinated Dark before this tournament happens…" Emerald said as Finn sighs.
"Indeed… hey Aiag… you lead the others to Tai Ping's base… I'll go with Dark so no one dies of heat stroke… I remember how bad the badlands can be thanks to that Tart incident and the accidental swap thing I goofed on and nuff said, place is not someplace one should go unless its well prepared… the heat was insane at the time." Finn said while he looks at many.
Aiag was concerned.
"Well… please be careful." She said.
Finn nods his head as he kissed Aiag on the lips and when he broke from the kiss, he looks at Dark.
"Well looks like Emerald and I will be joining, any issues there?" Finn said while Dark was silent.
"As long as you remember that this is mainly my side getting Cedric back… if you stay back or want to do anything… if you cause trouble, its mainly on you to fix things…" Dark said while Finn nods his head.
"Indeed… anyone else want to join?" Finn said while Marceline smirks.
"Well not sure about Phoebe here but not leaving you two amongst his Royal emoness." Marceline said while Dark rolls his eyes under his helmet.
"Charming… just remember I can have annoyances teleported back to Ooo thanks to Azure so if you want to cause issues like this, try and remember that." Dark said while he figured Marceline would be an issue in no time with jabs and what not.
Though as Marceline opened her mouth…
"From what I see, the Wish granting Shade is on Emerald's side, not yours, he is neutral and shouldn't do things to keep things fair unless he picks a side, so while he could help you, try and not make it obvious you're messing with me and others here…" Dark said while he turned his horse away to the proper direction.
Marceline then closed her mouth as she didn't have a proper comeback.
Bubblegum on her end looks at Lillum.
"Hey Lillum… mind going with Finn and Emerald to help protect him?... in case I have issues I'll summon you but right now I need to make sure I make up with the prisoners at the prison… not sure what Phoebe will do though." Bubblegum said while she looks at Lillum.
"If that's what you want mistress." Lillum said before smirking.
"But, if you get overwhelmed… or want some one on one with your baby mama, I'll make sure to keep the prisoners occupied." She teased.
Bubblegum blushed from this while Tai Ping looks amused when she watched as Lillum moved to sit behind Emerald on his horse making him blink as he looks back at her while she grins at him while she held his armored torso.
"What? Need someone very strong to hold on to since riding a horse can get rough." Lillum said.
"I… see… don't you float though?" Emerald asked though he blinks when Lillum rests her head on Emerald's back while she hugged him more.
"Where's the fun in that?" Lillum said.
"Fair enough." Emerald said while he blinks when Shade giggles and snuggles against his chest… making him stuck between the shapely women on the saddle amusing Finn a bit.
"Ok… hey Shade, to save time, think you can make a portal large enough for all of us to get to the Badlands border while another is opened near Tai Ping's prison?" Finn asked while he looks at Shade, not a wish yet but a question to see if it was possible for this amount of people and guards.
Shade was thoughtful.
"Hmmm… I think I can do that."
"Very well… if its doable, I wish we had a portal large enough for both groups to go through or you teleport the two groups to the desired location the leaders of the group wanted to go." Finn said while he looks at Shade curiously.
Shade nods her head and channels her energy to create two portals.
The were rather large, enough to work to help the two group of armies and after Shade made the portals… Azure held her hand up and they grew in size easily able to encompass the armies which surprised Shade as Azure looks at her.
"Figured… I should… make sure we don't take long…" Azure said when she pretty much said Shade's portals were small making Shade puff out her cheeks at the diss to her skills.
Finn tries to fix this.
"Easy Shade, I'm sure she wasn't insulting you."
All Azure did on her end was just stay silent as she relaxed in her hair… wasn't an objection to that at least…
This was a sweatdrop moment as Marceline broke the silence.
"Okay… may as well get going then."
Many nod as Tai Ping and Bubblegum's group enter their portal and were at the Prison… as for Dark and Finn's group… when they enter the portal… they all say they went from the middle of Ooo to the border of the Badlands… a place Finn thought he would never enter again…
"Damn it… I said to myself I would never return here… that and the Rose Manor." Finn said.
"Rose manor?" Phoebe said surprisingly next to Finn making him jolt.
"P-Phoebe, your coming with us?" Finn said as Phoebe blinks before giggling.
"Well where Marceline goes I go, not letting her get in trouble in this kind of sunny place." Phoebe said while she grins at Finn.
"R-Right." Finn said as Marceline smiles at her girlfriend.
"Oh yeah… hey Shade, just to check, Marceline and I are sunproof when you showed up at Tai Ping's prison right?... did Marceline and I ever test out if we could be in the sun before?... honestly with things going on and me in armor alot I may have forgot to test if that wish of yours worked." Emerald said while he rubs his helmet covered head.
"Hmmm?... I believe so, happened when you talked about looking for Finn when he went missing before he got that mental growth boost and stuff." Shade said.
"Oh yeah… that did happen… been wearing armor and stuff so long and Marceline using her umbrella, forgot we had the sunproofing and stuff." Emerald said while he rubs his head a bit.
"Yeah… guess it's not easy trying new things." Marceline said.
"No kidding… "Emerald said when he looks at his Vampire Queen of sorts, hey he had to share Marceline with Phoebe and Finn but it was because Marceline bit him and stuff, if anyone forgot Emerald was a Vampire at this point now thanks to Marceline so she was being responsible with Emerald and stuff.
"Well, at least no one is burning so that's a good thing." Lillum said.
"Yeah… anyway Dark, do you know where Cedric is and stuff and would it even be safe to bring a group as large as this with us?" Finn said when he raised an eyebrow when both groups combined may as well be a large army right now.
Dark looks at his Queen.
"Azure, do you know which way?" He said.
Azure looks thoughtful before she waved her hand and a large City of sorts appeared in everyone's view…
"Here… take a… look…" Azure said when she had the portal show the details of the city.
Surprisingly, most homes were either made of stone or pieces of metal put together. There were places like a market for food and stuff. Some people were wearing interesting armor.
There were also dune buggy like vehicles that had armor as well. And weird lizard like creatures some some people ride.
"Huh… didn't expect this… and are those… flying vehicles?" Emerald said when he saw some smaller transportation that looked to be flying every now and than.
"Wow… I'm surprised. Didn't even know a place like that existed." Finn said.
"Well considering none of us came to the Badlands before… makes sense there maybe kingdoms we may not know about." Dark states while he looks calmly at the city in the portal.
Everyone continues looking before they finally found Cedric… but was training a little girl that was like Autumn's age.
The group blinks as they saw the duo practice with wooden staffs.
"Huh… wonder what thats about." Emerald said though…
"Azure, teleport yourself and I to where Cedric is." Dark said in a calm manner when he looks at Azure when he wanted himself and Azure to speak with Cedric alone it seems.
"As you wish." Azure said making Finn blink.
"What?" He said but it was too late as the duo teleported.
"Double what… hey what about us!" Garnet said as they saw the portal still open… as the portal looks on, the camera went to Cedric as he blocked some hits from the little girl while she was trying to hit Cedric with a fierce look on her face though was more adorable in how tough she was trying to be though as she took a swing, she got hit on the back by Cedric when he side stepped her and she fell to the ground with an Oomph.
"That would be the death of you if it was a real battle… you really should keep your guard up." Cedric said though…
"Oh?... than should I get into combat readiness for a deserter?" Cedric heard from behind him while he felt something poke his back.
Cedric's eyes widened as he turned his head and saw it was Dark and Azure.
"Y-You two." He said.
"Us two?... seems you got a bit full of yourself if you reacted to seeing us like that… lets skip the drama and let me just ask… give me one reason not to kill you Cedric since it seems like you are nothing more than a deserter… true… I had Azure have you cool down in Ooo's ocean when you were against this Truce… but desertion for a person of your ranking and to the Badlands?" Dark said in a calm manner while he had a finger at Cedric's spinal cord itself so Cedric wouldn't pull any funny moves… the kid however when she saw Cedric in trouble…
"Hey! Leave my papa alone!" The girl said before she surprisingly tries to send out a small fireball to Dark.
As Dark raised an eyebrow behind his mask… Azure held a hand up and the fireball was disbursed as Dark was quiet while he looks at the kid to get a good look at her in detail since Elemental use like that was not an everyday thing since it didn't seem like Magic.
The girl, who happens to be a magenta hedgehog, was surprised that her attack didn't work.
Cedric was scared.
"Blaze go." He said.
As Blaze jolts when she heard that… Dark looks at Cedric.
"Cedric… you know Azure can bring that child to me instantly now that she saw her… lets skip things though and have you explain why you are here and why I should even ignore the fact that you pretty much deserted the Dark Army… again the only reason why I even had Azure do what she did is because of that temper… you know me ever since we were kids… I would kill people who did worse than you to me as well as stuff lighter than than since your sister is one of my women… I may not kill you given that… but who says you have to keep your spine intact at the waist." Dark said when he moved to aim a finger at Cedric's spine at his waist… one wrong move and while Cedric may live… would probably need a wheelchair or something… though…
"Hey fuckwad!... keep away from him!" A voice said and before anyone could react, something with speeds faster than Cedric rushed to the duo and even Azure had wide eyes when Dark was slugged hard on the helmet and Dark crashed into a wall hard while a dustcloud was kicked up as a Green quilled woman with black markings around her eyes were seen and boy she looked pissed… she looked to be in some kind of mix of Barbarian gear and some Royal like jewelry of sorts that she wore to make herself look fancy and she cracked her knuckles when she stands near Cedric while Azure was silent as she lowered her head when shadows covered her eyes… normally she was calm but right now Cedric could tell that right now… Azure was pissed when her body starts to emit sparks of energy.
"Crap… Surge… get Blaze and run. You don't want to be here cause right now… things just got worse." Cedric said
"Huh!?... and who do you think you are ordering me around like that?... last I checked you're my second in command here and you and I are pretty even in a fight though I'm more kickass… so bitch… give me a good reason not to harm that pretty face of yours." Surge said when she grins at Azure though before anything could happen… Dark dusts himself off as he walked out of the dustcloud while only his helmet was cracked.
"Azure… stand down… given I was given a 10 year boost, I do need to see if my elemental mastery is still good… may as well see if this newcomer realizes who she is dealing with… mind if I ask who you are exactly?... not everyday someone hits me like that without me sensing things… especially since I was trained to react to even Cedric's speed… if you don't know… I am Dark… Cedric's employer and ruler of the Dark Army in Ooo… though given he may as well be a deserter in my eyes for not returning… well…" Dark said as he emits an orange glow while Azure calmed herself.
"I don't mind taking you… and Cedric on and see if my skill with elemental manipulation hasn't gotten rusty…" Dark said while he had a calm tone to his voice but he was definitely not please by that sneak attack.
Though as Surge looks a bit surprised… she did grin at the threat.
"Oh really?... well guess what Fuckwad!... I'm Surge the Tenrec… Rular of the Badlands and top bitch here!... you want to order me to do anything… than fucking make me!" Surge said as she rushed Dark though as Dark rushed Surge… well… she and Dark did blink when a flash happened and Emerald, Finn, and Shade appeared while Emerald was between Dark and Surge and with differing elements in his hands to counter their own, he caught their fists in his hands and stopped their attacks as Emerald's hands steam from the impact from both people and Emerald speaks with glowing green eyes.
"You two… really need to slow down… and take a good look around you…. Especially you… Surge was it?" Emerald said while he looks at Surge while some kind Blaze looked shooken up by how fast things were going, Cedric looked immensely worried, and some random people here and there from inside of the building they were on and many looked alarmed when they saw Surge seemingly in a threeway fight with two helmet covered beings while Finn and Shade stand nearby while Finn has crossed arms.
"Yeah… getting attention here is a bad thing… especially since Dark and I have a Truce and stuff… need to make sure the two of us live for that to happen." Finn said though… Surge grins when she surprised many when she moved to kick Emerald in the chest knocking him back and his helmet fell of his head while he skids on the ground.
"Hehe… like I said… you want me to back the fuck off… make me… you think I care about showing weakness to two strangers?... no… the people here looking worried are because of intruders like you… we are people who were and still are forged in the badlands… even if we now have a kingdom for many… we still have to make sure we don't do anything stupid… so why should I listen to intruders who more or less threaten my second in command who helped make things as they are?" Surge said while Emerald, rubbing his lip and looking at some blood on his armored hand was quiet before he looks at Dark.
"Seems reasoning won't work on her much… may as well play it by her rules… though mind if I take her on 1 on 1?... like Finn said… not much use in this treaty if you and Finn get harmed by this woman…. Besides… I've been wanting to see what this power I got from Marceline is line." Emerald said when he raised his head and Surge saw pale skin on Emerald plus blood red eyes… if it was not said, thanks to Marceline biting Emerald, he was becoming a Vampire or a King ranked one… his eyes turned blood red thanks to this and he had slightly paler skin than usual but thanks to the wish Shade made, he wouldn't burn up in the sun thanks to her.
"What's with your skin?" Surge said before Cedric tries to stop this.
"Okay… let's stop before things get out of hand." He said,
"Cedric… can you look me in the cracked helmet covered head and tell me that she will even listen?" Dark said with a rhetorical look on his helmet covered head when he looks at Cedric who would know Surge better than any here on if Surge could be reasoned with right now.
Cedric sweatdrops.
"Point taken… but look if you and Azure wish to talk to me… then I'll listen since I think things went to a major misunderstanding."
"No kidding…" Was all Azure said though Emerald looks at Surge.
"Well there you have it, I'm willing to back off and stuff so we can have a civil talk but let me introduce myself first…" Emerald said or tried to when Surge moved and Emerald with his enhanced senses moved with speed that surprised many as he caught Surge's fist while her hand sparked.
"Seems a fight it is… looks like civil is not in your vocabulary… my name is Emerald… maybe new… but the Current Vampire King!" Emerald said when he gripped his free hand into a fist and lit it on fire and threw a punch at Surge at a rapid speed that she could react to but it was damn fast of a punch heading her way and she was knocked back and she skids on her feet as she rightened herself while Emerald was surprised Surge was still conscious.
Surge did groan a bit before grinning.
"Finally… a worthy opponent." She said before she charges at Emerald.
As most watch, Cedric looks at Dark.
"My lord… if I can still call you that… in my defense… thought you fired me when your Queen dumped me in the ocean… Granted those mermaids did help calm me down a bit."
Dark on his end looks at Cedric with crossed arms.
"Cedric… I have a three type firing policy… either with a messanger… in person… or I kill someone who royally fucks up… when have I ever used Azure to kill people I'm firing?" Dark said with a tone that told he was giving Cedric a half lidded look right now.
"Fair enough… figure you tried something new." Cedric said.
"But… I'm not a traitor or a deserter."
"Really?... even if thats thats the case, the fact you were so against the treaty that would have kept bloodshed to a minimum… that you argued against by the way which caused that ocean dive in the first place to cool you off… tell me… if not a deserter… why shouldn't I think traitor… especially after ALL I did for you and your family… you pull a stunt like this at such an important time…" Dark said while he had a serious tone to his voice.
"I'll give you an ultimatum Cedric… after this fight… right now I need something to amuse me and right now these two fighting to show their skills is a good pass time." Dark said when he looks to see Surge rushing around Emerald while he buffed his body with earth energy and good thing to because when Surge rushed him, she rushed at him with rapid punches that would have knocked out many like Finn the Ice using Wizard, even if he used a lot of power, the speed Surge used would make it hard to aim… for Shade, normally she had Shadow magic to use or some kind of shadow power but even she wouldn't have much luck catching Surge, Azure… well hard to say given her array of powers… for Emerald though to Surge she was surprised to see him glow orange like Dark and it felt like she was hitting rocks now for a moment and she grins more.
"Oh?... so you know Eco or something pulling moves like that?" Surge said confusing many around them as Surge bounced back from Emerald.
"Eco?... probably a badland thing but no… its an innate built in thing with Clones in Ooo… we have the power to use magical elements at will but at a cost, say I use too much fire without using water… would start to get burns over my body… water… well pretty sure I would be easily electrocuted by you… wind… would lose my breath… Earth… would be slowed to the point I'm a snail… and more… using the opposite element balances that out so instead of thinking I'm a pure element user.. Think of me as an all around element caster but with different costs to how I use my own magic if you get the idea…" Emerald said while he was confused on this Eco concept but explained how he was able to shift elements just now to Surge… use one element to much and would have to be on cooldown unless he used its opposite to force the cooldown and stuff…
"Huh? Clones? There's more of you?" Surge said as she hums a bit.
"Huh… Cedric may have said something… but I sometimes don't listen." She said making Cedric facepalm.
"I see… well before we continue… mind explaining that Eco thing since I explained what my ability is?" Emerald said while he had an on guard stance in case Surge tried to sucker punch him or something.
Surge smirks.
"Sure… when one of us wins." She said.
Emerald blinks at that.
"Well least no one dies… still fine… just don't blame me if you regret this fight later." Emerald said while he shifted his element use to make his body spark and jolt just like Surge's when he was using a lightning element of all things which got Surge's attention.
"Oh so you're trying to use that route. Well I'll show you who's the best lighting user." Surge said as her body starts to spark while Blaze got to Cedric and hugged his leg.
As Cedric felt that and pets her head… Surge grins when she rushed Emerald and he stayed still while taking the hits for some reason while Surge definitely felt her blows connecting hard… Emerald even grunts a few times from this… thanks to this happening, he knew Surge could outspeed him easily… even with the Vampire boost he had, no way would he keep up with Surge's speed… so he figured if he couldn't use many attacks… he would use one… and as Surge moved to slug Emerald in the stomach… Emerald took the attack while he grunts as it looked like he was about to fall though Emerald gripping her wrist and HARD got Surge's attention… more so when she couldn't get free…
"You can do it Emerald!" Marceline cheered from her end on the portal.
"Yeah!... kick her short fused ass!"
