Hello, my readers! How are any of you doing these days? Mine are going smoothly without too much happening. A bit boring, but i'll manage.

I think you already know that OMP does not belong to me, but if any of you have doubts i'll just put the disclaimer here!

The next day Genos was eager to learn the ways of his new teacher, Saitama.

But on the way to his apartment he found a strange sight:the same boy who went between the him and the monster of yesterday was just finishing his training for today.

'Probably given to him by Saitama' Genos thought and decided to approach his teacher's other disciple.

"Hello, i see you've just finished training. Can you tell me how rough are Saitama's teachings?" Genos asked politely.

Shinko, although happy to see that Genos was in good condition, was still puzzled by the cyborg's question and said "Sorry, but Saitama's not my teacher, i gave myself this training routine".

Shinko had guessed that the cyborg, by the name 'Saitama', meant the bald man whom he was on good terms just because he didn't remember him.

Genos wanted to press on, but a crushing noise was heard behind him and a monster appeared:he had a yellow, salamander-like body with spikes on the back of his head, on his dorsal areas and a sword-shaped one on his tail that seemed to be retractable.

The monster approached ominously and Genos prepared his incinerator, but the former started to speak.

"Out of the way, tin can! I am here for some real challange, for i am searching a boy named Shinko!" the monster declared and the mentioned boy stood up to his newly arrived opponent.

"Of course i'm up for a spar!" Shinko said excitedly and then turned to Genos "I'll be fine aganist this guy so don't worry"

"It's alright for me, so i can take notes about your fighting style" the cyborg replied solemny and went to the side of the road, taking out a notebook with a pen on the ready.

"Great then! I expect a lot from you so don't disappoint me!" the monster roared.

"Oh, i wouldn't do that for the world" replied a smirking Shinko reeking with confidence and looking to move around some more.

The two opponents then took fighting stances, the battle was abou to begin.

The first to charge was Shinko who was in front of him in mere seconds, but the salamander was ready as it vomited a huge sludge of purple acid which crashed into the boy.

Genos was taken aback, but the sludge was then split in two and Shinko was, again, unarmed (save for his shirt which had melted off).

"Not bad, but check this out!" exclaimed Shinko disappeared just to reappear behind the salamander.

He grabbed the monster's tail and started to throw and catch the monster around repeatedly with terrifying ease until, after the tenth throw, he launched it in the air and sent him to the ground with surprising power, creating ripples in the air in the process.

Genos thought the match was at a close but, upon touching the ground, the monster's belly inflated, sending him upwards and slashed Shinko's face and torso with his tail.

"Is that all you got!?" the monster roared with dissatisfaction.

"You haven't seen the half of it" replied a still-smirking Shinko as he grabbed the accursed tail and threw the monster into the distance.

The monster used the same trick to get back up and charged at Shinko who was back on the ground.

Shinko was prepared and did the same thing, but this time so fast that all Genos saw were continued blurs.

Shinko was enjoying this kind of activity, but he knew that (sadly) it had to end.

So Shinko threw, caught and spun the monster around for a few more seconds before throwing him into the sky.

Child Emperor was in his laboratory checking his satellite and trying to forget today's rude awakening at the same time...he was getting increasingly grumpy as he was failing at both of these tasks.

But his droopy eyes almost bulged out of his skull when he saw a salamander-like monster soaring in the northen ocean, not seeming to lose speed.

What was weirder was that it did not have wings, so somebody must have threw it with impossible strength.

'Perhaps this is the escaped monster's doing?'

...'Nah it's probably the lack of sleep, i must have imagined that' the young hero mentally answered himself.

Genos was not the only one observing the spar, as a cohort of inhuman beings watched the one-sided battle from the shadows of ruined buildings.

"I think it's that boy" said Slugerous with confidence.

"Really? That kid doesn't look like much if ask me" said Mountain Dragon as he pretended to sharpen his claws, not paying attention to the match.

"Have you even seen how he moves? He was clearly holding back!" said Frog man as he turned to the others.

"Hey are you alright? You look kinda down" he asked to the Beast King, the latter watched the ground as in deep thought.

"I am fine" replied the giant lion with more venom than he wanted.

"We can tell just the opposite..." Slugerous intervened earning a glare from the lion, but one could also see distress in it.

"Why are we even observing him? Let's just up and grab him!"

The Beast King roared strongly and stood up, ready to move out.

"Because this time Genus bought a new drone to observe the operation and needs time to prepare it. Also, since we went into this abandoned dump, he told us to fight this boy so he can get a better idea of his strength" replied Mountain Dragon, annoyed by the giant's sudden mood, and then continued "Look, we all hate this shitty situation, but at least we are doing some planning instead of whining...".

Mountain Dragon wanted to continue, but was cut off by a roar of the the Beast King, his uneasiness only toppled by his annoyance now.

They all took deep breaths and moved to the point, but Slugerous noticed one of their own was missing.

Genos wrote some more notes before Shinko came near him.

"So, did you find the spar helpful?" he asked Genos as they were walking.

"Yes, from the demonstration i deduce that you amazing durability, stamina, strength and speed for a cyborg" Genos politely said.

"I'm a normal human, not a cyborg!" Shinko replied hastily, hoping to NOT be remembered by the guy as a machine.

"Is that so? Your skin was so durable i mistook it as armor" said Genos while pointing as his bare chest, making Shinko blush slightly in embarrassement.

"My other question, however, was about why have you never resorted to attack it directly?" Genos asked seriously.

"Because it was a spar, i wanted to see the guy's moves and i dislike killing if it can be avoided" Shinko answered truthfully.

This drew an eyebrow from the cyborg, but after all he was a 16-17 year old, with all the ideals that came with the age, so it was nothing too weird.

"By the way how come your parents let you live alone?" Genos asked suddenly.

"Well i'm 18, so i am indipendent, plus i was looking for a date when to visit my mum and my little sister to better explain them this situation" that wasn't a simple task, mainly because of the incident he caused, and the thought of leaving his family alone like that (especially with a dead father) made this situation all the more unpleasant.

Having finished their talk they arrived at Saitama's house and stood in front of his apartment door.

"Well, now what?" asked Shinko, looking Genos with expectation, but the cyborg looked troubled.

"I have studied my teacher's routine through the recordings of the town's cameras, so this disappearance of his is odd" Genos said with the air of a detective (or a stalker's according to Shinko)...

...and kicked the door off while Shinko's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.

"Why did you do that?! You know this is property damage, right?! " Shinko hissed quietly to not attract strangers (even if there weren't any) while Genos scouted the house on all fours as his orange eyes gleamed in the darkness, making Genos look like a creep in the process.

Suddenly the parchment of ceiling in Saitama's kitched esploded, revealing that the assaulter was not human.

The mantis-like monster then presented himself "Greetings! I am..." the monster's greeting was stopped by a particularly angry Genos.

"How dare you destroy my teacher's roof!" the cyborg roared at the offender and then shouted "Machinegun-Blows!".

He immediately started throwing extremely fast blows at the monster who in turn screamed in pain.

To any bystander the punches would seem a blur, but Shinko could see them clearly and counted exactly forty blows.

Genos finished him by throwing a punch that sent his mangled remainings into the streets, destroying the wall in the process.

'Overkill' Shinko thought and headed first in the newly made hole.

"So, what do you think?" asked Frog man, looking worriedly at the hole made in the house's roof.

"That it was a bad idea to lose sight on him in the first place" Slugerous answered annoyed as they saw the idiot's dead remainings being blown off through a wall under the hole he made before.

Then a human appeared and they now had a full 100% certain thought that he was the one they shadowed.

Beast king was NOT going to be calm throughout the whole thing.

Shinko saw a pink bug and a scarred frog on the side of the road and he thought that they were with the rude mantis, so he approached them to interrogate them as they looked a bit scared of him.

Immediately Genos bolted after him and almost got punched in the face by a new, cybernetic opponent.

"I am the crystal of wisdom of the House of evolution, Armored Gorilla!" the cyborg roared in a robotic voice and charged at Genos, who in turn fired his incinerators, accomplishing in doing absolutely no damage to him apart from making him laugh.

"Your pathetic attacks cannot harm me!" Armored Gorilla roared as he started punching the cyborg, who in turn decided to bring the battle somewhere else.

Shinko in the meantime approached the two monsters and asked seriously "Ok, who of you two orchestrated this poor idea of a joke?"

"Now, let's get calm and talk about this with no grudges..." Slugerous started to say, trying to calm down the young powerhouse.

"I am calm, but that wasn't even my hou..." Shinko explained calmly when suddenly he was pulled in the ground, drawing surprised cries from the two monsters.

"Good work Mountain Dragon" said a deep voice as a big mole sprouted out of the ground.

"Now that the annoyances are out of the way, let's get to the serious matters" said a huge, bipedal lion that was approaching ominously, prompting the smaller monsters to distance themselves by a good 5m.

"I am the Beast King, second strongest fighter of the house of evolution and i challenge you to fight me!" roared the newly identified monster.

"Oh, hello there! I'm Shinko and if you wanted to fight then you should have just asked me right away" said Shinko as he pulled himself out of the hole and put himself in a fighting stance.

The beast king was a bit worried because the target didn't look neither scared nor intimidated, but excited.

Nevertheless, he decided to shove all of his doubts in the back of his mind, like he always did.

Only bad thing was that he could never erase these doubts in the first place.

Shinko charged Beast king while the latter started to swipe at him, furiously slashing buildings as they went.

Shinko dodged all of the swipes with ease and, once close enough, swept the hulking lion's legs of the ground.

Then he grabbed his tail and started launching him around the arena, but after three throws The beast king threw himself at the ground.

"Your usual trick won't work this time!" the lion roared as he began a four-legged charge at Shinko who in turn jumped, avoiding a strike that sliced concrete like butter.

The boy then decided to do something different, running and jumping around The beast king to test how fast the latter could get.

He roared in frustration and started to get into a swipe-frenzy as he diced and sliced everything around the two.

Mountain Dragon, afraid for his life, dug underground, but Slugerous and Frog Man did not have the same luxury.

As Death itself was going to kill them with its scythe, however, they were swept off at incredible speed and thrown to safety.

Slugerous almost had an heart attack and before falling to unconsciousness, along with Frog Man, he saw the lone figure of Shinko...

The Beast King was confused:why did this human go out of its way to save these two good-for-nothings?

He didn't care if they survived or not, they were all going to die at the human's hand anyway (or the cyborg's for that matter), but he still felt inclined to ask.

"Why did you protect them?" asked the Beast King.

"Because they were bystanders" replied Shinko seriously, a bit guilty about putting these two in danger.

"Also, weren't they your teammates?" asked Shinko curious.

"That doesn't matter, because 'we are all going to be killed anyway' of the rule of the jungle!" the Beast King scoffed as he proclaimed loudly.

Shinko was surprised (in a bad way) by this answer, but he saw a hint of uneasiness in the lion's eyes and wanted to see it through.

"What kind of shitty rule is that?! You can't just kill someone because they're weaker than you!" Shinko shouted, indignation clear in his voice.

"Oh really? Then prove it to me as i'll kill you!" the Beast King shouted as he began transforming, his swelling muscles destroying his crude, iron armor.

Shinko was a bit surprised by the turn he took, he thought the guy would try harder and plan a strategy (maybe with a special move in between), not grow in size!

The Beast King caught on his look and said "Did not expect this turn of events? Do you understand now how screwed you are?!"

'Hopefully this transformation will discourage him' he thought uselessly as Shinko smiled.

"Actually i'm impressed! You're the first monster i fought who could change forms and, believe me, i fought countless of them!"

Shinko declared proudly.

"But if you think that a simple change of size will be enough to defeat me..." Shinko turned serious as he slammed one foot on the ground, creating a crater in the concrete three times the boy's size "...then YOU got another thing coming!" he then said as he charged at the massive opponent.

The Beast King then raised his claws and shouted "Fine, you wanted it! CROSS WILD SLASH OF THE JUNGLE!" as he slashed powerfully at Shinko's chest in an X fashion.

'Alright, time to finish this' Shinko thought and, as the attack crashed aganist his chest, he puffed it out.

This simple action created a shockwave so powerful that it instantly repelled the attack and flung the Beast King several meters on the road.

As he came to a stop, the Beast King knew he was finished as his stamina finally depleted and his body began shrinking back to his original size.

He lost to a boy who did not even fight back and doctor Genus saw his failure, but it didn't matter because the boy was walking towards him to finish him off, and then to do the same thing to the others.

He sighed, hopelessness filling his body, and waited Death's verdict.

Shinko came close to the Beast King and sat in front of him with his legs crossed.

That action made a lot of questions appear in the monster's mind, but one stood above all.

"Why...why haven't you attacked me once?" the Beast King asked, his voice a shadow his booming roars.

"Because, even though you're a bit of a jerk, i didn't think you deserved to be killed...also i can tell you didn't really believe this 'rule of the jungle' yourself, did you?" Shinko asked.

"...You're right, i didn't" the Beast King honestly replied, facing Shinko and putting himself a sitting position.

There was no more reason to keep it all for himself, as the terrible truth had been revealed.

"Actually i was scared to fight you:i am the second strongest fighter of the house of evolution simply because Mosquito girl, who was a mere prototype, surpassed all of my abilities and was destroyed by you.

Even before that i was always deemed irresponsible by doctor Genus and no matter how much i tried i always failed his expectations, now more than ever" the Beast King finished, waiting for the human's reaction.

"That's kind of awful, just because somebody created you doesn't mean they can treat you like that, besides fighting isn't everything in this world, there are lots of people who don't fight physically!" Shinko cheerfully said.

The Beast King thought long about his words and then spoke "but if i don't have to be strong then what do i have to do?" the Beast King questioned himself.

Shinko beamed and said happily

"Do something else, change is not something immediate, take me for example:i wasn't always this strong, i actually used to be pretty weak and, by training myself every day, i stand where i am today! But if you want my advice, you coupd start by apologizing to these two" Shinko proclaimed as Slugerous and Frog Man came to the Beast King's side, checking if he was alright.

"Oh Beast King, are you alri..." started a worried Slugerous, but he was interrupted by a raised paw.

"Don't worry, i am fine and i wanted to tell you...that i'm sorry for almost killing you, i wasn't myself back then" Beast King said sounding really sorry, which startled both Slugerous and Frog Man.

"You know, this is heart-warming and all, but how do you think we can fight the doctor, who has Carnage Kabuto on his side?" said Mountain Dragon as he approached the small group.

"That won't be a problem, the targ-Shinko can simply go there and defeat it" the Beast King replied confidently, but Shinko intervened.

"Also, this is a big misunderstanding because i'm not the guy you're looking for! I was going to kill Mosquito Girl, but the first priority was to get Genos to safety!" Shinko explained "The one who killed Mosquito Girl is...".

Saitama, who just arrived with a smoking fist and green blood plastered on his suit, raised an eyebrow at the weird congregation.

He just went to train himself and defeated a monster in the process, so he didn't expect to have company.

Saitama then glanced at his house and his face turned into a scowl, being really pissed at the damages made.

"Who did that?" Saitama asked angrily and Slugerous explained him what happened.

"So what you're saying is that your doctor now wants to study me and this kid? Sorry but i'm not into that and i'm not letting that pervert touch a kid" Saitama replied normally, like he was talking about a rejected offer from a salesman.

"Still, wasn't another guy with you?" Shinko asked and Frog Man replied "Armored Gorilla won't be a problem, especially with the idea i have now" he then turned to face Beast King, Shinko, Saitama and Mountain Dragon.

The latter knew that he wasn't gonna like this idea.

Genos had finally put the cybernetic opponent out of commission and was dangerously pointing its incinerator at Armored Gorilla, but the latter didn't seem threatened.

"Now tell me who sent you lot or face death" Genos said in a dangerous tone with a more dangerous weapon (literally) at hand.

"Do you really think you can scare me with that? I am only the third strongest being in the house of evolution, when Beast King is done with the twerp he will..." Armored Gorilla continued confidently until a horrible sight greeted him:the 'twerp' was holding an immoble Beast King with one hand.

"You mean him? Sure he was tough, but nothing in front of me" Shinko said with an unusually smug tone.

"We also have this guy if you're interested" said Saitama while holding the immoble body of Mountain Dragon like a plushy.

Armored Gorilla looked the scene before him with a blank face, then spoke "Ok i'll tell you what you want, just let me live"

"What happened to your voice?" asked Saitama who picked up the monster's change of tone.

"I was sounding like a robot to look cool" said Armored Gorilla hastily.

"Ok, Saitama and i are going to put these corpses down while you gather intel on our enemies, how does that sound?" asked Shinko, looking for the stoic cyborg's feedback.

"Sounds resonable, i also have a few questions of mine to ask" said Genos with his serious tone.

"Ok then, good luck with that" Shinko said as he and Saitama turned the other way around.

"Well that went smoothly enough" said Mountain Dragon as Saitama put him the ground.

"So now all we need to do is go to this Genus and beat him so he can pay for the damages made to my house?" Saitama asked, his eager tone raising at the last part in particular.

"In a nutshell, yes" Slugerous said while wiping some sweat of his forehead.

"Ok then, i'm going to see if Genos is finished with the gorilla" Saitama said as he went to search Genos.

"So, what do you guys plan to do once Genus is defeated?" asked Shinko as the Beast King sighed.

"We don't know for certain:in this society people could see us as a threat, so the best bet is staying with Genus hoping he changes his mind about his 'glorious' plan" explained Beast King as the others nodded along.

He now had the living proof right in front of him that Genus' assumptions on humanity were wrong so the only remaining option was to change the scientist's ways.

"Great! I'm going with Saitama then, see you there!" Shinko replied with a smile as he headed to the duo in the distance but then turned back.

"I almost forgot, if things for you go south i'll ask Monoculor if he can get you a place to live in Z city" he finished as he sprinted off to catch the Saitama and Genos, who were already heading to the house of evolution.

Genus was troubled, to say the least:Armored Gorilla's report stated that all of the squad (minus him) died at the hands of two particularly powerful individuals and a cyborg, but that was impossible since the vital signs of the others were normal.

Perhaps a large mutiny could be the explanation?

That seemed to be the most likely case, especially since an unnatural gust of wind destroyed his new drone.

"Doctor Genus!" one of his clones shouted "Three individuals are approaching at a fast pace, loosely followed by our squad!"

"Prepare the defence system in the eight-story building on our facility, in the meantime set free Carnage Kabuto to 'greet' our guests" Genus ordered idly to his clones.

The orders, communicated through the speakers, created fear and anxiety among his clones, but they had to agree that was the best course of action.

Now they just had to pick the unlucky ones for the job.

I swear, turning The Beast King into an actual caracther might be the most original thing i have ever done. Carnage Kabuto is up next and, after that, you'll get...something else.
