Extract from the writings of Craklyn Squirrel, Recorder of Redwall Abbey.
It has been one month since Tammo Quartz Tussock defeated Damug Warfang, and since then, everything here at Redwall has been peaceful. Lady Cregga Rose Eyes and her army have been staying at the Abbey, keeping an eye out for more attacks, but there haven't been any. None of Damug's surviving soldiers have shown their faces around here, and our wall has been fully repaired now. The Guosim shrews and the Waterhogs have returned to their streams and rivers, but Chief Gurgan Spearback's son Tragglo decided he wanted to stay behind and live at Redwall, and now he works in the cellars with Gurrbowl.
You must forgive the shortness of this entry, but I am about to put aside my quill pen and scrub the ink from my paws. I have an appointment with Friar Butty. Together with the Friar and Joshy Stag Hare, I will help to plan the feast. What feast, you ask? Well, Tammo and Pasque are to be married! It's true! After they recovered from their injuries, he proposed to her, and she accepted. They will have their wedding at Redwall, and then they will depart for Salamandastron, along with the Long Patrol and the Crystal Gems. I will be sorry to see them go. Life at the Abbey has been a lot more exciting with Tammo and the Gems around…
In the kitchen, Friar Butty was showing Joshy a picture of a giant cake. "I'm calling this North Wall Cake," the squirrel friar said. "It will be the centerpiece of the feast. I'm gonna fill it with honey and meadowcream, and top it with candied fruits."
Joshy licked his lips. "Looks scrumptious! But I say, are you sure there's gonna be room for it, with all the other food?"
Butty chuckled. "There'll be room. Trust me, I know. I've been putting banquets together for a long time- although I'm sure not nearly as long as you have."
"Aye, you'd need to have lived for many, many seasons to have as much experience of menu planning as I have," Joshy said.
"Just how old are you, anyway?" Butty asked curiously.
"Ah, that'd be tellin', wot! Let me put it this way. Y'know that mouse on the tapestry in Great Hall?"
"You mean Martin the Warrior?"
"The very one! Well, I've been around for so long, I was once able to call him a personal friend."
Butty stared at Joshy. "Get out of here!" he said disbelievingly.
"No, it's the honest truth," Joshy said.
Craklyn walked in. "How's it going?" she asked.
"Oh, fantabulously!" Joshy cried. "Ol' Butty here was just showin' me his plan for the whoppin' great cake he's gonna put in the center of the table. An' we've got more kinds of bread than you can shake a stick at, though I dunno why you'd want to shake a stick at 'em."
"What about cheese?" said Craklyn.
"Cheese, well, last autumn's cheesemaking was the best ever," Butty said. "We have some huge yellow ones with celery and carrot pieces in them, we've got those tiny soft white ones, and all the different sizes of cheese in between."
"What about chili dogs?" Joshy asked. "Can we make chili dogs?"
The two squirrels stared at him. "Chili dogs?" Craklyn repeated. "It's a wedding."
Joshy bobbed his head up and down. "I know it's a wedding. It'll be the first Redwall wedding I've attended since Matthias the Warrior married Cornflower. (See my story REDWALL WEDDING, which is a crossover between Redwall and My Little Pony.) I hope this occasion goes better than that one, wot!"

On the day of the wedding, everybeast gathered outside on the lawn, where a makeshift altar had been set up next to the Martian spaceship. Tammo and Pasque stood together on the stage, along with Abbess Tansy, who would be performing the ceremony. The two young hares were nervous but excited. They were embarking on a new phase of their lives.
Tammo looked out over the audience. All his friends were there, lined up in folding chairs. Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst sat together in the very front row. Lady Cregga sat next to them, wearing her full battle armor, as she said that was the nicest outfit she owned. Tammo saw Major Perigord, Arven the Warrior, Foremole Diggum, Gurrbowl Cellarmole, Sister Viola, Craklyn, Friar Butty, Joshy Stag Hare… in short, all his friends. He was touched that they had all turned out to show their support for him and Pasque.
Dibbuns scampered down the aisles, throwing bouquets of flowers everywhere. "Flowers f' you! Flowers f' you! Flowers f' you!" Sloey the mousemaid chanted. She flung one bunch so hard it knocked Foremole off his chair.
Gubbio the molebabe trotted up onto the stage, carrying a ring on a pillow. He held it out towards Tammo. "Here, zurr."
"Thank you kindly, Gubbio," Tammo said. He took the ring and put it on Pasque's finger.
Tansy cleared her throat. "Dearly beloved Redwallers, Gems, Long Patrollers, and Joshy…" Joshy waved a paw. "We are gathered here today to celebrate Tammo Quartz Tussock and Pasque Valerian, two of my favorite creatures, who combine into one of my other favorite creatures, Tasque." She turned to Tammo. "Tammo, do you take Pasque to have and to hold, on this and every other planet in the universe?"
"Yes, I jolly well do!" Tammo exclaimed.
"And Pasque, do you-?" Tansy began.
"Yes!" Pasque interrupted.
Tansy frowned. "You didn't let me finish."
"Dashed sorry, wot," she said. "I'm just so flipping excited!"
Tansy said, "Then by the power vested in me by Mossflower Country, I pronounce you hare and wife!"
Tammo and Pasque kissed and hugged each other. Then, before the eyes of everybeast, they fused back into Tasque! The crowd cheered.
But suddenly a thing happened that was bad and not good. A spaceship appeared in the sky! It looked like a giant green hand.
Everybeast gasped. "I say, what is that ugly looking thing?" Major Perigord wanted to know.
"It's a ship from Homeworld," Garnet said.
Before anybeast could move a muscle, a beam of light shot down from the huge hand in the sky, enveloping the newly fused Tasque. As the wedding guests stared in horror, the fusion was pulled up into the air, toward the ship! A hole opened in the bottom of the ship, and Tasque was sucked inside. All this happened in a matter of seconds.
"What just happened, wot?" Joshy Stag Hare asked numbly.
"Well, it looks like some bad Gems from Homeworld just kidnapped Tammo and Pasque!" Amethyst said.
Foremole scratched his tail. "Burr, whoi did they do that?"
"Probably because Tammo is Rose Quartz's son," said Pearl.
"Well, luckily, we have a spaceship of our own," said Garnet. "We can get them back. There's no time to lose!" She jumped to her feet and dashed toward the Martian ship. Pearl and Amethyst followed.
Joshy jumped up too. "Wait up, I'm comin' with you!"
Cregga stood. "And I as well, with as many Long Patrol hares as that ship can hold."
"You don't have to do that," Pearl said to her. "There's no need for you and your hares to risk your lives. This is our fight."
"Stuff and nonsense!" Cregga boomed. "Pasque was a member of my Patrol, and Tammo was about to become one too. That makes it my fight. I won't abandon two of my soldiers to death and torment in outer space. Besides, I've already missed out on one battle and I'm not going to miss another."
"Okay, as long as you know what you're getting into," Amethyst said. "Those Homeworld Gems ain't as nice as us."
Cregga shrugged. "I can handle 'em."
And so it was that Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Joshy, Cregga, and a group of sixty hares, which included all the hares who had journeyed to Redwall with Tammo, boarded the ship. Garnet put on the control headphones. "Gimme warp speed, F.A.I.T.H.," she said. "Let's blow this pop stand."
As the ship rose into the sky, Joshy mentioned sadly, "I never did get to eat any of that cake."
