Naruto sat on a bar chair and watched his friends play darts. Iris and Eddie were also with them. Naruto watched Cisco and Caitlin relax and have fun. He was glad they got out of the lab.
Naruto saw Iris and Eddie show feelings for each other, and he realized that he was not jealous. He was glad that Iris found a boyfriend and was happy with him. He was attracted by a certain red-haired doctor who sat and talked to her best friend.
"I'm glad you invited Caitlin and Cisco." - Iris said, walking up to Naruto.
"They're cool." - Naruto replied looking at his friends.
"They saved your life." - Iris said. - "Therefore, for me, there is no one cooler than them."
Iris took a glass of alcohol, also made by Naruto.
"For friends. Old and new. " - Iris made a toast, and they both drank. Then Iris went to play darts with Eddie. Naruto sat in disbelief, then asked the bartender for the strongest drink. He took a tray with 6 glasses and walked over to Caitlin and Cisco.
"Guys, we have problems." - Naruto said while his friends were watching Iris and Eddie play.
"All the problems are caused by these guys." - Cisco said, looking at Eddie.
"I don't know, I like other guys." - Said Caitlin, too, looking at Eddie. Naruto was already wondering who Caitlin prefers.
"I'm not talking about Eddie. I'm talking about it. " - Naruto said, and drank six glasses in one gulp. - "I do not feel anything."
"Yes, it happens when you drink too much." - answered Cisco with a smile. Caitlin smiled too.
"Not. Alcohol has no effect on me. I really don't feel anything. " - Naruto said with a serious face.
"This is your hypermetabolism. I need a sample. " - explained Caitlin, with a face like Christmas.
"I'll bring you another drink." - Cisco said and went for a new portion of alcohol.

"I'm not drunk." - Naruto replied. - "I'm only 25. And I'll never know what a hangover is."
Eddie came up to them and said that it was Naruto's turn to throw darts at the target. But a second later, his phone rang. As soon as Eddie said that somewhere a bomb had exploded, everyone quickly went home, supposedly. Although Cisco and Caitlin stayed at the bar, as time to get to S.T.A.R. They did not have Labs.
Naruto in a suit ran to the building where there was an explosion and heard the man in the construction cradle calling for help. The cradle hung only on the cables on one side, and the worker held on with his last strength.
"Guys, I see a window washer, he is about to fall." - Naruto said into the communicator.
"Don't try to catch him. You don't have superpowers." - Cisco said.
"I have one idea. But you won't like it. " - Naruto said. He remembered how Kakashi taught him how to walk in trees.
Naruto concentrated and ran. At first, it was easy to climb the building, but the higher he climbed, the more difficult it was to keep the same speed. Naruto reached the desired height, grabbed the window washer at the moment when his belay turned around and ran to the bottom keeping the same speed as when climbing.

Eddie led Naruto and Jo to a room with drawers containing some documents.
"Do we know what's missing?" - Joe asked.
"I think one of these files. It will take days to figure out which one. " - Eddie said.
"Let Naruto cheat." - Joe suggested. Then he and Eddie left the room. And Naruto began to inspect all the boxes at super speed. After some time, he found an empty folder.

Naruto came to the police station with a box of evidence from the blast site. There were soldiers everywhere, and he didn't like it.
"What's happening?" - he asked Joe, next to whom was one of the military.
"General Eiling takes the blast case from us. Give these people everything they need. " Joe said. Naruto handed the box to the military without question. And when they began to leave, he super quickly grabbed it from the box, the folder he found in the drawers, and no one noticed it.
"To your friends from S.T.A.R. Labs should check it out. " Joe said and Naruto nodded.

"Is the file number all there is on the bomber?" - Cisco asked in surprise.
"The police have been removed from this case." - Naruto replied.

"At the army. General Eiling. " - Naruto replied.
"General Wade Eiling." - said Dr. Wells, who had arrived. The guys looked at him inquiringly. - "About 10 years ago, General Eiling hired S.T.A.R. Labs to develop improved gene therapy for soldiers, but I was interested in the potential benefits for treating ordinary people. But General Eiling wanted to develop mind reading for interrogation purposes. I interrupted my research when I realized that we were almost there. But we did not break up very well. "
"Well, he took all the evidence except this folder." - Naruto said, handing the folder to Welles.
"But even knowing the file number, I was able to find our demolitionist. Her name is Bette San Sushi. ATS specialist. " - Cisco made everyone happy.
"ATS?" - Caitlin asked.

Naruto grabbed the suit and ran to the indicated address. He ran around the building when he saw a red-haired girl who was going down the fire escape. He ran up to her and wanted to ask her name, but she turned sharply and began to run away. He overtook her and stood in front of her again.
"I want to help you, but you have to come with me." - Naruto said and tried to take her hand. Bette pushed him away and some purple substance began to creep across the emblem of the suit.
"Take it off now!" - Bette shouted in panic, looking at Naruto. Naruto immediately ran away from her, taking off his suit as he ran. He managed to run back several meters before the suit exploded.
S.T.A.R. Labs
Naruto ran into S.T.A.R. Labs and put on a tracksuit with the logo of the laboratory.
"Don't ask." - Naruto replied to Caitlin's mute question.
"I'll ask you anyway. Where is my suit? " - Cisco asked.
"Cisco was a good suit. So let's almost remember him. " - Naruto said.

"It exploded. I barely got out of it. " - Naruto answered honestly.

"We'll find this girl and put her under lock and key." - Cisco was angry about his suit being blown up until he saw a photo of Bette. - "Well, you can always make an exception."
Naruto and Caitlin smiled at Cisco's words. They knew he liked dangerous girls.
"She tried to warn me not to touch her." Naruto said.
"Now it is clear why General Eiling is interested in her." - Wells said, looking through Bette's personnel file.
"And also why he took the case from us." - said tired Joe, going up to them. - "He didn't want anyone to know about her abilities."
Joe wanted to talk to Naruto alone. As soon as they were in the hallway, Joe reminded Naruto that he had promised to talk to Iris about her infatuation with the Flash. Naruto replied that he had spoken. But Joe reminded him of the blog she was running. He told Naruto to talk to Iris right now. Naruto ran to the Jitters and spoke to Iris. But as he thought, it didn't get anywhere. If Iris has decided something, then she will not back down from it.
Naruto's phone rang. This was his team. They said they found several places where Bette could go. Naruto decided to start with the Injury Center.
Naruto ran there at the moment when Bette was talking to the doctor who was doing her surgery. At the same moment, he noticed green rays directed at Bette. He quickly knocked her to the floor, and thereby saved her from bullets.
"Are you okay? I can help you." - Naruto said as they hid at the table.
"How?" - Bette asked.
"It's the same with me." - answered Naruto, and at the same moment the grenade smashed the window and fell on the table. Naruto grabbed Bette and fled with her before the grenade detonated.

Dr. Wells explained to Bette where her powers came from, and Caitlin brought her special gloves that would restrain her powers. Bette in turn as she became General Eiling's test subject. Cisco tried to flirt with Bette, but for some reason Naruto and Caitlin felt a little ashamed of him.
When they began testing Bette's body to see if she could be cured, they found she was injured. Apparently, Naruto missed one of the bullets. Caitlin pulled it out, and then they realized it was a tracking bug.
Cisco switched to the security cameras in the elevator. General Eiling and the soldiers rose in it.
Wells ordered them to take Bette away and hide Flash's suit. Eiling's meeting with Wells ended in nothing for the general. And after that, the whole team went to the testing ground to test Bette's forces. Bette threw Frisbees into the air, where they exploded. After that, Cisco came up with the nickname Plastique.
Bette and Naruto walked around the training ground a bit and talked a little. Soon Naruto's phone rang, it was Joe. He revealed that Iris published the Flash story again, and this time signed with her name. Sometimes Naruto thought he was bad for Iris. She was not so stubborn before. Cisco came up to him.
"Something happened?" - he asked.
"Iris wrote a new article about me and signed it with her name." - Naruto replied.
"Oh oh. This is not good. If some villain thinks she knows something, there will be problems. " - Cisco warned.
"Now it's Flash's turn to talk to her." - Naruto replied.

"Iris West, I heard you write about me." - Naruto said in an altered voice so that Iris wouldn't recognize him. It was a useful trick. After which, Naruto quickly cleaned up the café. - "Meet me on the roof."

"What now?" - asking Cisco.
"She will join us and be part of our team." - Naruto replied calmly.
"Naruto." - said Caitlin. - "You have an amazing ability to help people. And she blows everything up. "
"She's the first meta-human not going to destroy this city." - Naruto replied. - "But it's not about her abilities. Eiling. "
"Trust me Naruto, Eiling is a dangerous man. He is a threat to all of us. " - Dr. Wells replied.
Naruto didn't know what to do. He wanted to help Bette, but he couldn't put his friends in danger either. And why his life couldn't be easier.

Joe shook his head, hinting at an important secret that Naruto had been hiding for a long time.

"Well, I'm glad you decided to move on." - Joe said happily, it was painful for him to watch how Naruto constantly did not dare to tell Iris about his feelings, especially since he saw Naruto looking at one charming female doctor. Then Joe went home, while Naruto stayed in the laboratory.
Naruto worked with the evidence for a bit and then ran out of the lab.

Bette was about to kill Eiling when Flash appeared in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" - Bette asked.
"Being a soldier does not mean killing. Do not do this." - said Naruto, and at that moment Eiling shot Bette and hit Bette in the chest. Naruto ran up to him and punched him in the jaw, knocking him out. Then he returned to the wounded Bette again.
"I'm sorry I didn't see him!" - Naruto apologized as he did not foresee everything.
"Do not be sorry. It is not your fault." - said Bette. - "I'm glad you stopped me."
"You have no idea how hard it was to do it. But more on that later. We need to get you to S.T.A.R. Labs. " Naruto said, after which Bette fainted. After which, her clothes began to glow with a purple light.
"Guys, we have a problem." Naruto said over the communicator.
"Is Bette okay?" - Cisco asked.
"Not. Eiling shot her. And it glows. It will explode soon. " - Naruto said.
"An explosion of such power would be devastating." - answered Caitlin, while Cisco came to his senses after the news of Bette's death. - "You have to get her out of there."
Naruto began to examine all the options where he could take Bette, but the only option was water.

Cisco began to make calculations immediately. But Dr. Wells got ahead of him.

Naruto didn't have much time, he picked up Bette and ran. It was more difficult than climbing the building. He was also hindered by drops of water that fell into his eyes. He ran far enough away then threw the body into the water and ran back. The explosion was strong enough, and the wave that rose after the explosion moved very quickly. She caught up with Naruto already near the shore, where she had nothing left of her. Naruto stopped on the beach and decided to catch his breath a little.

Naruto and the team watched the news of where the injured Eiling was, saying it was a weapon test underwater.
"I want to go there now and rip out his heart. He killed Bette right in front of me." - Naruto said, looking at Eiling's face. No one noticed how Dr. Wells tensed a little after that phrase. - "And because of his position, there is nothing we can do."
"Are you okay?" - argued carefully Caitlin, she saw how Naruto was going through the death of Bette.
"Yes." Naruto replied and went home. He didn't show it, but he was angry. Eiling reminded him of Danzo. For both of them, people are just weapons that can then be thrown away. One thing he knew for sure was that Eiling wouldn't get off that easy next time.
On the way home, Naruto decided to stop by Iris and try to talk to her again. But this conversation did not bring any results either. After leaving the house, Naruto received a message from an unknown number. "Thank you". It lifted his spirits a little.
After, Naruto went to a bar where he drank only soda, as alcohol had no effect on him. He wasn't much surprised when he saw Cisco and Caitlin.
"What are you doing here?" - he asked, although he was glad to see them.
"We thought we should have a drink." - said Caitlin.
"It doesn't work for me. Remember? " - he replied.
"Naruto Allen, you should know like no one else that nothing is impossible." - answered Caitlin and took out a small bottle of clear liquid and put it in front of Naruto. Naruto took it and sniffed it, the smell was strong. "It's almost 500 degrees here. I thought you should definitely have a drink today. "
"For Bette." - they said and drank their own drink. Naruto even coughed. He felt the alcohol start to work.
"You are drunk?" - Caitlin asked, hopefully.
"Yes, and strong." - Naruto replied. He began to stagger like a drunk. He was pleased, but after a moment the whole effect passed. - "And nothing."
"This is just the beginning." - answered Caitlin. She enjoyed working with Naruto. After Ronnie's death, she closed in herself and was only interested in work. But Naruto had a positive effect on her.
