A Modern Pride and Prejudice with a twist. Liam Darcy is the Master of Pemberley who has hired historian Lily Bennet to research his family and their history with Pemberley. There is history between the two that could have an adverse effect on the work to be completed. The Ghosts of Pemberley will need to step in to get their story and history back on track.

What if Rosings Park had a male heir, a son of Sir Lewis and Lady Catherine? What if Bingley met Darcy through Mr de Bourgh, his good friend from university? And what if they were at the Meryton assembly together? (title, summary and chapter 1 subject to change)

When word of Georgiana’s almost elopement is suddenly brought to light, the Darcys find compassion in the most unexpected of places. Will he be able to bring his pride under good regulation? Darcy has a different reason for his "pride" and lack of involvement. Elizabeth learns of it in his letter, after Darcy tells her that he hates himself for loving her. Grief, Hope, and second chances allow the two to truly understand one another. Pride and Prejudice AU: Darcy is a widower with two children, Lizzy only finds out in his letter to her at Rosings.

Elizabeth and Darcy meet in Meryton at the assembly without the insult. Instead, Elizabeth provides assistance to Darcy, and he feels grateful to her for it. February of 1812 brings startling news to Longbourn; a distant relation has died, leaving Elizabeth Bennet a fortune.
