Alice awoke that morning in soft velvet sheets, embroidered with the outlines of golden stars. The sun shone through her window straight to her bed, waking her. Must have left the curtains open. After running her hands sleepily through her hands she got up to close them begrudgingly. Today was a saturday and it honestly wasn't far that she was even the least bit conscious right now.

Tugging at the green velvet curtains quickly without barely giving them a glance she went back to bed.

Suddenly Alice awoke with a start, eyes widening, heart stopping in her chest. What she had just seen just registered in her mind.

It couldn't be.

She all but ran to the window, and shoved her curtains back.

A puff of air escaped her nose, lips parting in shock.

She laughed. She was actually laughing, was she losing her mind?

Yep. I am. It's official. , she thought.

I am delusional. Completely. Out of my mind. Bonkers. If I had a few screws loose before they are completely gone and forgotten now.

She could hardly believe it herself, but outside her window….

"I'm in New York?!"

Alice paced around the room, hand on her heart trying to keep it steady and calm herself down. She didn't really know what to do. Logically it would make sense to call someone she knows, like a friend. Except well, she doesn't have any. Not one. In this entire world, or at least the world she knew, and oh god where in the world was she right now anyways?

After calming down a bit she decided that she needed to try and access the situation. Had anything else changed, or was it just the fact that New York was outside instead of the shitty suburban neighborhood she was accustomed to?

She began to search the room slowly picking through her belongings, everything looked the same at least. Then she had a sudden terrifying thought. She crept over to the round mirror on her wall and gazed in. She watched herself sigh in relief, eyes heavy with anxiety even more so than usual.

Same appearance as always. Two green eyes, one deep and dark and the other light and soft both framed with thick pointed lashes. Deep auburn red hair, which she was happy to see, still retained the blowout that took an hour to fix yesterday, hair framing her thin face. She saw the tired look of bewilderment on her face and laughed again, but this time it comforted her to laugh about the situation.

Feeling a little bit braver, she calmly made her way to the curtains and opened them, deciding that it was time to look again.

New York was still there. She sighed, for what felt like the 100th time since she had woken up only 15 minutes ago.

A secret small part of her hoped that it would still be there, and now seeing it again she was overwhelmed yes, but something sparked inside her. Something she always tried to ignore but when something unexpected happened she couldn't deny it. She felt the excitement and fear and terrible curiosity burning in her chest.

She tried to take in what she saw, so many details, and so much of it meant nothing to her. She didn't know anything about New York. She had no idea where she cold possibly-

Wait.

Squinting she leaned forward and could hardly believe it. A huge building, she couldn't believe she had overlooked it. A tall building, a skyscraper, with the letter A on the side. It was unmistakable. Alice felt like she was going to be sick.

A thud sounded on her door, but wait… not her bedroom door, thank god, somewhere else. Steadying her breathing, smoothing her hair, and bracing herself, she left the bedroom.

Alice thought she couldn't be any more shocked than waking up in a completely different city, but she was wrong. It turned out while her bedroom was the same her house was not. Outside her bedroom she found herself in what looked like a small dorm room, with a coach, half kitchen, and what looked like a door to the bathroom.

The knocking got louder and more steady.

"I'm coming! Calm down!" she called out to…. Whoever.

Reaching the white marked door of the dorm room, she unlatched the tarnished gold latch and turned the knob.

"Um, hey Alice," Peter smiled.

As in Peter Parker. As in the Peter Parker in the new Marvel movies, that Peter Parker.

"Are you ready or what?" He glanced down at her pajamas.

"So no? Not ready? Should I come back later..? Yeah I'll wait outside." He looked at her like this was a typical situation for them and moved to leave but then upon seeing Alice's expression gave pause. His expression turned to concern, " is something wrong? Are you okay? Alice?," he spoke softly but with a stern bit of concern behind his words.

Alice could only stare, dumbfounded like a complete idiot.

"Yeah… y-eah. I'm okay.., um.. Peter. Peter… Parker…. Yeahhh…."

Not okay. Not okay. Not okay.

"Oh Okay.. right. I'll just be outside then" he motioned to the stairs with his thumbs, squinting his eyes at her trying to figure her out. He didn't look completely convinced something wasn't up but just accepted her answer and left.

Alice shut the door behind her. After processing this for a few moments, it hit her like a truck. Her knees went out and she slid slowly to the ground back to the door behind her.

I'm in the MCU. I just met Peter Parker and he knows my name, and we are friends? I think? At least it seems that way. I'm Peter Parker's friend. What. The Fuck.
