Percy POV:
Going on quests suck especially if the quests that you went on entails:
A magic staff from the goddess of breakfast cereal
Monsters chasing me (yet again)
Thick headed mortals who don't believe me when I tell them that the women who they hooked up with them did in fact have a child with them in three days and that said women happened to be a goddess.
So here I am running from what looks to be about half a dozen Eidolones in the middle of Surrey, U.K. all because Demeter decided that the 'Hero of Olympus' would make a better candidate to not only pick up her staff from her most recent swings place but also drop off her newest demigod daughter to the mortal father.
"Hey, Jackson give up now we know your not going to hurt these mortals." Spoke the lead Eidolon in a raspy, haunting voice. He was right. I never fought a Eidolon in a mortal before and I had no way of knowing whether or not celestial bronze will still consider the mortal body a mortal now that they have a monster inside of them.
"You guys know that it's gross to possess people. You never know where their mind has been. Our you're for that matter. "I sassed back. I need to get these guys off my back but for mortals they are surprisingly fast. Looking down at the 4 ft tall scepter made from ornate looking celestial bronze with a head of wheat for the tip. Then a thought accord to me. I'm holding a godly artifact of Demeter and I've seen what children of Demeter can do with plant life. Gripping the scepter tighter I tried to tap into the staff. Suddenly I felt a rush of power flow from the staff and into my chest.
There, about a block away from where I'm at is a small field of grass with some trees. A park. Turning sharply, I began to book it for the park hoping that my burning legs don't give out on me.
Crossing the border of the park I could feel the scepter connected to the plant life around me. As I passed under the first set of trees I jumped as high as I could and landed in one of the higher branches of the smaller oak trees lining the park.
'Be one with the tree. Be one with the tree. Be one with the tree.' I chanted in my head. Under me I saw the Eidolones pass under me obviously ignorant on where I went to.
"Where did that brat go?" spoke one of the creepy ghost spirits underneath me.
"How should I know?" answered another.
After making sure the Eidolones were gone for good I crept down the tree and began to walk back. Whistling Immigrant Song by Led Zepplin. As I began to walk past number 4 privet drive, I spotted an underfeed, depressed looking 15-year-old boy sitting on the curb weeding the yard. Suddenly the boy jumped around staring at me with slight wary fear in his eyes. His emerald-green eyes portrayed sadness, fear, and longing. The eyes of someone who has seen too much at too young an age and the same eyes he sees in himself and the rest of the demigods.
"Hey, glasses are you okay?" I asked knowing the answer before I spoke it.
"What is it to you?" answered the boy in a cautious tone.
"Get away from him!" yelled a British female voice behind me. Just then time seemed to slow down as I felt my demigod instincts kick in as the lady spoke the words "Petrificus Totalius" and a flash of light soared inches away from my head striking Glasses between his eyes.
"Harry!" yelled the pink haired 'attack-random-people-on-the-street-with-magic' lady as she ran towards the now statue like boy.
"What was that for?" I asked frustrated with how the day is turning out.
"Who are you? Are you with you-know-who?" asked the pink hair.
"No, I don't know who" I answered back confused.
With a look of wary, skeptical confusion she asked "like the dark lord? He-who-must-not-be-named? The man who killed this kids' parents?"
"No idea who that is" I answered truthfully.
Suddenly with multiple cracks 3 more oddly dressed stick wielding weirdos sent streaks of light at me. With a tug on my gut, I willed the sewage water under our feet to erupt from the ground forming a swirling, dome of water around me and the boy whose name is apparently harry. After pink hair and the others were pushed back against the current of water, they began to desperately try to break my defense. Looking over to the boy still frozen as a statue I began to inspect his frozen form but as I tried to fix his glasses back on his face a golden light erupted around us.
"How did you do that? Who are you?" Harry questioned in a voice that made it clear he didn't know what was going on.
"Percy Jackson, now if I let you out of this bubble can I trust you to tell your friends over there to stop attacking me?" I answered back.
"How do I know you won't attack us?" Harry shot back.
"I swear on the River Styx I will not attack any of your friends today unless they try to attack me first." Evoking the role of thunder.
"I don't know what that was but Ill just take your word for it" Harry finally answered after some time. Getting up he walked out of an opening I had just created. One by one each of the current of spells dissipated and I dropped my barrier.
"Who are you?" asked an old man with scars covering his entire body and a fake eye?
"Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon at your service" I merthly answered with a bow.
"What do you mean son of Poseidon?" Questioned a tall blond hair man with scars running down his face.
"Exactly what it sounds like. Do I need to explain the birds and the bees to you?" I retorted back.
"What were you doing with my godson?" a black-haired man with tattoos covering his skin unhealthily pale skin asked with more venom than was intended.
"I simply was seeing what was wrong with him. He seemed depressed than pink hair over there went all psycho on me."
"What are you? There is no way you have this much power and still be human." Asked pink hair.
"Demigod. D-e-m-i-g-o-d. Are you guys dense? I'm half god and mortal. Now what are you guys because considering you don't know what I am then I'm assuming you guys aren't monster or gods."
"We are wizards. I'm sorry that we started off on the wrong foot my name is Remus Lupin." Answered the scar face as he brought out his hand to shake.
"Huh, wizards. First magicians, then the Norse, what's next the Aztec?" I asked nonchalantly.
"You need to come with us." Ordered Fake Eye.
"No can do. My doctor says it is bad for my health to go with random strangers. Plus, my aunt will get mad at me and that really is bad for my health." I answered back snarky. I really didn't like Fake Eye.
"Yo, Harry. I think that is your name at least. If you need anything or just want to talk, I'm here okay. Just toss these into a rainbow and say 'Oh, Iris goddess of the rainbow accept my offering and show me Percy Jackson' that should get ahold of me." I told him as I tossed him a couple of Drachma. Without glancing back, I turned around and walked away from the wizards whistling the whole way.
'Now how do I get back to America?' I thought to myself.
