Hi Readers: What did we think about today's first chapter? Well, I hope you guys liked it as I put a lot of time and effort into that chapter. Hell, I am surprised that it came out to be that long. Though, that does bring up a question I have for you guys; which is whether you guys think that I pack too much into my chapters? Would you rather I split them up into more chapters? Let me know what you think in the comments, and I may just implement that change in the future. Thanks again for reading and enjoy.

Chapter Twelve

To say that Alex thought that Matt was an amazing chef would be an understatement, as she always loves his food; then again, maybe she's biased due to the fact that he's her husband, who always cooks for her. Though, she's okay with that as she thinks it's sweet for him to take time out of his day to always cook for her; plus, the food is delicious. Just like he looks quite delicious as he stood there in the kitchen with his wetsuit showing off his toned chest, while she read a magazine which she brought along from Chicago. That reminds her. "Babe, you need to remind me to change my magazine subscriptions when you get a chance? Okay?" Turning his head, Matt smiled. "Just cancel them all, we get them here too already. Remember, I got them for you at this place since this is our place?" Alex smiled as Matt said that, well aware what he meant; because while this may be a family home, she's the only woman he's brought here in a long time. You could call this their love nest of sorts, as this was there they came to be together while they were dating.

Came to be alone with each other, when they needed to just get away from all the stress they had in Chicago; while also spicing up their relationship and making sure that they, regardless of whether they were together (officially) or not at the time, had a healthy sex life. And they most certainly do have a healthy sex life. "I know what you mean. This place has done wonders for us." Matt laughed as Alex said that, well aware of what she was talking about; just like his sister did, though she wasn't as amused as the couple were when it came to hearing them speak about their sex life. "God, you guys truly are disgusting at times. I mean, do you really think I need to hear this, when I already hear you guys sometimes?" Turning his head, Matt looked at his sister. "This is our home, feel free to get a…" Turning her head to look at her husband, Alex just gave him a glare to stop him from talking; a glare which Matt knew all too well. And he knew precisely what it meant: it meant that he should shut up, before he got in trouble with his wife. "I love you."

Looking between both the husband and wife as Matt said that, Christie was confused as she had no idea what was going on. "Ok, what the hell is going on?" Alex smirked, making sure that she was the one that explained it rather than her husband. "Oh, I just gave him a certain look that kept him in line if he wants to stay in my good graces when it came to…" Christie stopped Alex, as she knew what she was talking about. "Ok, I get it and don't need to know any more about what you mean." Matt laughed as he heard Christie say that, well aware that was the case as he went to flip the egg he was making. "Alex, you want the first one; or do you want me to give it to my sister?" Christie looked up at Matt. "Oh, Matt. You have no need to feed me." Turning his head, Matt smiled. "Christie, you're here and you're going to be fed; that's final." Alex then added on. "Yeah, keep thinking that Christie. We both know that he's scared after what I said. Scared to risk loosing me when he wants to have a baby with me as soon as possible." Matt sighed as he looked at Alex.

After all, it seems like she changed her mind on the timeline again. "So, we're changing the timeline again?" Alex looked at Matt. "We agreed that, if it happened, it happens. I am not going to stop it from happening, which is the last we need to have of this conversation around your sister; we both know that this is the last thing she wants to hear about." Christie smiled. "It's fine, plus I owe it to matt to let him talk about this with me around. Me and Jim did the same thing last month." Matt sighed as he looked at his sister, before realizing something. "Just curious, is that at all part of the reason why you came here? You got into a fight over it again?" Christie sighed as she looked at her brother. "Yeah, might not have been completely honest with him about something." Matt was confused. "It's been so long since we had Violet, so I thought we were done for good…" Matt then realized something. "Oh…" Christie nodded, while Alex didn't get it. "Sorry, not getting what's going on." Turning her head, Christie explained to her sister-in-law.

That way, she was on the same page as her and Matt. "I got my tubes tied without telling Jim." Alex was shocked as she heard Christie say that, especially since that was not a good idea. "No wonder you guys are in a fight." Matt and Christie both looked at Alex when she said that. "Hey, who's side are you on?" Alex sighed as she sat up. "Sorry, but I'm an in-law and I can somewhat get why he'd be mad." Matt looked at his wife, as he didn't understand how. "Last time I checked, you weren't a man." Alex sighed. "No, but I am a woman who wants to have children with her husband. You think I'd be happy if you got a vasectomy without telling me?" Matt and Christie then both understood where Alex was coming from, from the point of view of their in-law. "I mean, not to dig since this is going to gross my husband out; but, what if he was hoping to try again this week? Or next time your…" Matt agreed with his wife, stopping her. "Ok, we get the point." Alex sighed. "I know baby, it's awkward since she's your sister." Matt sighed, nodding.

Though, that doesn't mean that he doesn't appreciate the way she's helping. "I do appreciate the help babe, I really do; just maybe, not to the extend. I don't need to hear all about it." Alex bit her lip. "I didn't know any other way to explain it unfortunately." Matt agreed with his wife, as that made sense. "Yeah, that makes sense. Now, you want to have breakfast now?" Alex smiled as Matt asked her that. "Is it ready?" Matt smiled. "Just about, just need to know if you want one or two." Alex smiled. "I think I'll be good with one." Getting up as she set her magazine down, Alex smiled as she made her way back to the kitchen; while also looking at Christie since she wanted to know whether they were good. "We good?" Looking at her sister-in-law, Christie smiled. "Of course. We're a family with a lot of opinions, yours is just one of them now and I'm glad you spoke up. Gave me some things to think about." Alex agreed with her sister-in-law, before getting close to her and hugging her. "Glad you understand." Christie agreed with Alex.

After which, Alex made her way over to her husband as she wanted to check that they were okay. "Hey, are we okay?" Turning his head when Alex asked him that question, Matt nodded as they most certainly were okay. "Hey, of course we're okay babe. I love you and I don't want to be in a fight with you." Alex agreed with Matt, while also smiling as she felt him wrap his arm around her. Leaning up as she placed her hand on his toned chest, Alex leaned up and kissed her man softly; while he placed his hand on her butt and stroked it with her thumb. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too." Matt agreed as he pressed his lips to her forehead, before letting Alex go. After which, Alex walked over to the coffee machine to grab herself a fresh cup. "Thanks for making a fresh pot. You want one Christie?" Christie shook her head. "I'm good, thanks." Alex agreed with her sister-in-law, while also going to poor some coffee into her mug; after which, she carried it towards the island and set it down next to her plate.

Getting up on the bar stool afterwards, Alex grabbed her plate and smiled as she brought it close to her. "Looks delicious." Matt smirked as he served himself some food, while also deciding to flirt with his wife. "I can say the same about you." Putting his sandwiches on his plate, Matt soon made his way over to Alex so that he can sit down next to her, while Alex smirked at her husband. "I think I'm going to barf." Setting his plate down, the new husband got close to his gorgeous wife; and as he placed his hand on the back of her head, he bent down and kissed her softly. "I love you." Alex agreed with her husband, as she loves him too. "I love you too, forever." Matt smirked, agreeing with Alex as he pressed his lips to her forehead; prior to sitting down next to her on the bar stool, so that he can eat breakfast with her. "So, where you off to today Christie?" Christie smiled. "I'm going to look at the Office Penthouse." Matt was confused when Christie said that. "Why, exactly?" Christie smiled. "Maybe I can stay there, you can have alone time."

Matt just looked at his sister as she said that. "You sure sis? I mean, this is your place too." Christie smiled. "Matt, you guys are newlyweds; you need to have your space." Alex agreed with Christie as she said that. "Only if that's where you want to go. If you want to stay here, then I agree with Matt. If you need someone to lean on, then you can lean on us." Christie agreed with Alex, well aware that was the case as she grabbed her hand. "And I appreciate that, I really do. But, we all need our own space; especially you guys since you just got married, which is a time where newlyweds normally like to take time alone. Go on a honeymoon and stuff." Matt smiled, well aware that was the case. "Maybe we can sneak off to Mexico or something in a couple weeks?" Turning her head, Alex actually liked that idea. "Cabo sounds nice." Matt smiled as Alex said that, as it really does sound nice. Just the two of them, walking down the beach in Cabo; something the two of them are going to do on the beach after they enjoy this nice breakfast he made.

Since Matt made breakfast for the both of them this morning, Alex decided that it was her job to do the dishes; though, Matt was not the most open to that due to the fact that he wanted to treat her like his queen. But, when his sister got involved, he knew that he had no chance of winning the argument; so, he just decided to do something his wife would enjoy. He decided to walk up behind her, wrap his arms around her was and just hold her in his arms; while she decided the dishes and just enjoyed the feeling of his arms around her waist, which is precisely what Alex is doing right now. She's enjoying the feeling of her husband's strong arms wrapped around her waist, while she does the dishes and leans back against his toned chest; that being her way of telling her that she appreciates him holding her in his arms the way he sis. It's just a nice feeling, one which they are both enjoying this morning; as it's a way for them to be (somewhat) intimate with each other, while just taking it easy and relaxing with each other. "So, you think it'll be cold?"

Looking down at Alex, Matt smiled. "You mean while I surf? Probably not, since I'm going to be wearing my wetsuit." Alex agreed with her husband as she placed her hand on his arm, prior to looking up into his eyes, which prompted Matt to bend down and kiss her softly. And damn, did that feel nice. The feeling of his soft lips on hers, as they took things nice and slow with each other here in their kitchen. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that he loves her. "I love you too, and I am so glad that this is what we're doing right now. This makes me happy. You make me happy." Matt nodded, well aware that's the case as he proceeded to press his lips to the side of her head, while Christie made a comment. "Like I said, I would be barfing if I wasn't so happy for you guys." Turning his head, Matt smiled when he saw that Christie was done eating. "You done?" Christie agreed, while watching as her brother made his way over to her. "Yeah, I'm stuffed." Matt agreed as he grabbed her plate and coffee mug, before carrying it to the sink.

While, at the same time, his sister spoke to him and Alex. "I hope you guys know that it means a lot to me that you guys are letting me stay here, though I think I am going to go stay at the penthouse. I was going to work at the office this week anyways, work with the design team that we have here; and I really don't want to have to drive all the way there each and every day, when the traffic is so brutal." Matt agreed, well aware that the traffic can be brutal. "Just curious, how long are you thinking of staying in California?" Christie shrugged. "Well, at least until Wednesday. Maybe the week. I'm just not sure. I want to go back for Violet in case she needs something, or I can invite them here. Not sure yet." Matt agreed with his sister. "Do you think that you guys changing where you guys live might do you any good?" Christie looked up at her brother. "You mean, leaving Chicago like you guys?" Matt shrugged. "I mean, I know you said you have to talk to Jim; but, maybe it'd be good to get away from the city that has bad memories for you guys."

Taking a breath, Christie thought about it. "Maybe first, I can see whether he's still faithful to me. Not too sure bringing a guy to a place where the girls are all smoking hot is the best idea. Though, that might be better for CA considering I can get more models out here." Alex agreed with her sister-in-law. "By the way, if you ever need someone to talk to WME, I have some contacts there through my agent. I need to talk to him anyways about how I'm retiring. Believe me, I'm not looking forward to that conversation." Matt looked at his wife as she said that. "Hey, if they support you the way they say they do in the way they represent you, then you need to know that they'll be okay with your choices; after all, they can't force you to work if you don't want to work. Also, we have an exclusivity contract between your agent and our company, which means that you work for CA only at the moment. Though, I can always let you out of that if you want to change your mind when it comes to modelling for other companies." Christie then went to stop her brother.

After all, he was not letting the face of her line off the hook. "Uhm, no. Sorry, but that's not something you're going to do. I got an exclusivity contract with Alex because I wanted to make her the face of my lines, which I did; and if she wants to keep modelling, then she's going to stay as my exclusive head model. If she changes to design, then the exclusivity contract will apply to her designs, which means that only we can use them. Sorry Matt, but that's one thing I am not letting you change; Alex is a good model, and I got her under a contract. Plus, I can only assume that she's going to work under her married name now?" Biting her lip, Alex wasn't sure. "Honestly, I have no idea what I plan on doing. Maybe if I do Casey ads, then I can do it under Alexandra Casey; but other companies, if allowed, then I can do it under Alex Jacobs. Not sure. I just don't want to take spots away from other girls simply due to the fact that I'm married to Matt if that makes sense. I don't want to get the big ads just because I'm part of the family." Matt agreed with Alex.

Though, Christie didn't. "Are you kidding me? Of course, you're going to…" Sighing, Matt looked at his sister as he knew why Alex was talking that way. "Christie, can you go to the back porch? I need to talk to you." Christie was confused. "What's wrong, I…" Matt just looked at his sister in the way that made her know that she needs to do as told, rather than argue with him; so, she got up and made her way over to the back porch. Meanwhile, Matt turned to look at his wife while she did the dishes. Making his way over to her, Matt sighed as he wrapped his arms around her waist and looked down into her eyes. "You okay?" Alex agreed with her husband, as she's okay, while also stepping close to him and leaning up to kiss him softly. "Thanks for defending me." Moving his hand to her hair, Matt placed a strand of it behind her ear. "Hey, I'm your husband. That's my job. My job is to defend you and back you up, you got it?" Alex agreed with her husband, prior to leaning up and kissing him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with Alex and smiled.

After all, he loves her too. "I love you too, and I promise to work this out with my sister. There's no need for you to worry, as everything is going to be okay; I promise." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "You have no idea how much it means to me that you're on my side right now." Matt shook his head, as that's the last thing he wants to hear. "Alex, I'm your husband. I'm on your side because I love you. That's final and all you need to worry about." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling as he leaned in and pressed his lips to her forehead. "Listen, you still want to go to the beach?" Alex sighed. "I don't know what I want now. Can you give me a minute to think about it?" Matt agreed with his wife. "Just know, that maybe me and you can go out to supper? I can make a reservation and stuff. We can get in privately or something. Whatever you want." Alex shook her head. "I think I just want to take it easy. I don't know if I want the beach now as I'm all torn up about everything. The exclusivity and…"

Matt sighed, well aware that his sister really screwed this up; so, he bent down and placed his hands on her neck before kissing her softly. Just taking things slow with his wife, Matt concentrated on her. "You want me to ask her to go stay at the penthouse? We can have the place to ourselves again?" Taking a breath, Alex looked down. "I hate that we're kicking her out of her own home." Matt shook his head, before pressing his lips to her forehead. "She made you mad and frustrated. I don't want that for you. You need to relax and take it easy. Me and you can do that together, if you want." Alex agreed, as that's precisely what she wants to do with her husband. "I like the sound of that, actually." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, well aware that's the case. "Listen, you finish this and then got upstairs and take and easy. I got this with Christie." Alex agreed with her husband, before leaning up and kissing him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife and smiled. "Forever." Alex agreed with Matt.

After all, that's something she already knew; she knew that they were forever, especially since her husband is ready to defend her to his sister. And that's exactly what he was now on his way to do, as he walked out of the kitchen and out to the back porch.

Alex's POV:
As I watched Matt walk away to go speak to his sister on my behalf, I couldn't help by feel loved and proud to have the ability to call that man my husband. He truly is a great husband, and I am so proud that he's all mine. He's the man that I get to love, and I plan on showing him that I love him today. Sure, we were originally planning to go out to the beach; but, maybe it was supposed to be this way. Maybe we were supposed to stay home, as we take it easy with each other. Maybe we're supposed to be in bed, taking it easy with each other so that we can start a family. I'm not sure what I want to do when it comes to that, but I do know that I'm madly in love with that man; and I plan on showing him that as he holds me in his arms today. As he holds me close to that toned chest of his, while kissing my neck and giving me the pleasure that we both want to give each other; in return, I'm going to give him a bunch of pleasure by wearing the lingerie which I already know he loves more than anything. God, he's going to be so turned on.

To say that Matt wasn't the happiest as he came out to speak to his sister right now would be an understatement, as this is the last thing he wants to be doing right now. He doesn't want to fight with his sister, not when he's a newlywed and he's much more interested in just spending time with his wife; time where they take it easy and just relax with each other. And that's precisely what the two of them are going to do, when they're together again, when they have the place to themselves again. So, here goes nothing. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Turning to face her brother, Christie was shocked. "Excuse me?" Matt sighed as he walked up to Christie. "Christie, you just hurt my wife in there and I do not appreciate that." Christie was shocked when she heard Matt say that. "Sorry, I hurt your wife? How in the world did I do that?" Matt sighed. "You didn't just hurt Alex, you hurt me too." Christie was confused. "How?" Matt bit his lip. "Christie, I'm in between you guys. But, I need to be Alex's supportive husband right now."

Christie just looked at her brother. "So, you'd be okay if she modelling for other companies? Companies that rival ours?" Matt bit his lip. "As the CEO of the company, no. As her husband, yes." Christie was surprised to hear that. "How can you both be against it, and for it?" Matt sighed. "Because I need to wear dual hats when it comes to Alex. Christie, she's my wife and the woman I love; and she's also a great model, who I love to see modelling for the company. As the CEO, I want to have her model for us; as her husband, I want her to have all the opportunities in the world. Christie, how can I do that to my wife? The woman I love. How can I tell her…'No, you can't do that…even though I support your career.' I'd be the biggest hypocrite in the world. I'd want to support my wife and her career but have to be the bad guy when it came to not letting her work for other companies. I mean, you really think I want to be put in this situation?" Christie sighed, as she knew that he didn't. "Christie, I love you. But, Alex comes first as my wife. She needs my support."

Christie agreed with her brother, well aware that he needs to support his wife. "And if that means letting her model for a company other than ours, then that's precisely what I plan on doing. I need to let her know that I'm not the bad guy, and that's precisely what you'll make me out to be if you enforce the exclusivity contract. Please, just drop it for my sake? I just got married, and this is real Christie. This love that I have for Alex is real, and it's what I want for life. If you screw this up for me, then I don't know whether I'd be able to forgive you. She means the world to me, and I don't want to be the type of husband that has to choose between his wife's career and his company. That's not fair to either of us." Christie agreed with her brother, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, I can see that now. I can see how unfair it is." Matt nodded. "Christie, she's the one for me. She's the woman I can see myself growing old with. Sure, you might not have found the guy you can do that with if you break up with Jim; but, I've found that person in Alex."

Christie smiled, as she loved the sound of that. "I've found the woman I want to be married to for the rest of my life, the woman I want to have kids with, the woman I want to have a nice life with. And I refuse to let you screw it up. I love you, but I need to put my new marriage first. Alex is my priority, because I love her, and I want to make sure that she knows how much she truly means to me." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that. "She still down here? I need to apologize." Matt sighed. "Actually, she's already upstairs. And Christie, I hate to say this but…" Christie then remembered what he said, he said that he wanted her to leave. "I know." Matt then proceeded to grab his sister's hand. "Christie, it's what I need you do to for me so that you can make Alex happy. I know this is your home too, and I get that. But right now, I need to balance being her husband and being your brother, which means that I need to ask you to leave so that the two most important women in my life aren't fighting." Christie agreed with her brother.

After which, she decided to ask him something. "Just curious, I heard something about Alex wanting to be a stay-at-home mom; so, does that mean she's going to stop modelling soon?" Matt shrugged. "I think she wants to keep her options open. She's not pregnant yet, and I think she wants to wait a year to just see what happens. I don't know, and I'm not going to push when she's clearly not in a good place to talk about that right now. She has a lot on her mind, and the last thing I want to do is push her over the edge. I want her to take it easy, as she relaxes during the first couple weeks of our marriage. Remember, we just got married Christie." Christie agreed with her brother. "And I'm so glad that you guys are married. I truly mean that." Matt nodded, as he knew that she meant it. "I know you do, but you need to remember that this is my life, and you need to let me live it with Alex. What we decide as a couple isn't something that needs to be run by the company. We can make decisions on our own, as husband and wife." Christie agreed.

After all, that's something she needs to let her brother do. "And I need to respect your wishes when it comes to what." Matt agreed with his sister. "Thanks sis. Can you lock up on your way out?" Christie nodded as she hugged her brother, as that's something she can do for him. "Of course." Kissing his cheek, Christie smiled. "Congrats again to you guys." Matt nodded, smiling as he proceeded to walk away so that he can go upstairs and be with his wife, who decided that she was going to thank her husband for talking to his sister.

She was feeling some mixed emotions as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves in bed, her way of thanking him for talking to his sister. After all, she really needed him to do that for her. She needed him to talk to her to ensure that she got to choose what she wants to do going forward. And thanks to Matt, that's precisely what she gets to do; just like he gets to take things nice and slow with her here in their bed. "Damn baby, such a turn on." Placing her hand on the back of Matt's head as he made love to her, Alex agreed with her husband as she tried to concentrate on him. Tried to concentrate on what she wanted from him, which is him making love to her; but, it clearly wasn't working right now as she was still thinking of something else. And it wasn't just Alex that knew it, as her husband knew as well. "Ok, you have something on your mind." Turning her head, Alex looked at her husband. "I just feel horrible over what happened downstairs." Shaking his head, Matt stared down into Alex's eyes as he placed his hand on her face.

After which, he bent down and kissed the woman he loves softly. "You have nothing to worry about babe. Everything is fixed and okay now, you can take a breath and just concentrate on me if you want." Alex agreed with Matt. "I just hate that I made this fight in the first place, because I agreed to retire from modelling." Matt agreed with his wife. "So, you are retiring?" Alex sighed. "And now, I might have made a mess with your sister." Matt shook his head, as that's the last thing she did. "No, you didn't. I would've needed to have that conversation with her at some point anyways, because she needs to know that I can't be in the middle anymore. I'm your husband, I love you, and you're my priority. You're the woman I love, and I'm always going to be on your side; I promise babe." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, really loving the sound of that. "God, I love the sound of that." Matt smirked as he agreed with his wife. "And I love the sound of you moaning for me as we make love to each other, here in our bed."

Smirking, Alex agreed with her husband as she placed her hands on his face and started to take things nice and slow with him once more; while he placed his hand on the side of her face and did the same. After all, he wants to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "I want to get pregnant whenever it happens babe, no rush but…" Matt agreed with his wife. "No talking about that. We're just going to let it happen when it happens." Alex agreed, as that's precisely what she wants as well. She wants it to happen when it happens, but sooner rather than later due to the fact that she truly can't wait to see her husband as a dad; she's already dreamed about it and is doing so once more….
