RWBY 40k – Salem, Mistress of Inquisition.

Ep 47: Salem vs Activists (Empire inside an Imperium – Part 1).

(Note: This will be an arc separated between episodes).

928.M30.

In the North of the Galaxy, Salem was with Horus on the planet of Kerdon Prime. A planet along a whole stellar republic who was threatened of destruction by the Ork empire of the Skull Axes.

But this republic was completely rotten to the core and the politicians were corrupted and incompetents, not taking any action against the threat of Orks only bragging and talking instead of acting.

And so, the population begged the Imperium to act. With the help of the military of the Kerdon Republic. The XVIth Legion of Horus Lupercal and the 6th Expeditionary Fleet leaded by Salem. They partake the work, while Salem manages the republic by associating with the president. Horus led the army against the Orks

After one year of fight, the Orks of the Skull Axes empire was destroyed and Horus returned to the planet.

When he arrived in the republic palace. He could that the atmosphere has changed a bit. There is a lot of soldiers of the 6th Expeditionary Fleet inside of the palace. Recognizable by the emblem of an eye surrounded by wings of an eagle with only one head plastered on their chest plate. (Note: The Soldiers of Salem's expeditionary fleet are sporting an armour with the same appearance of the infantry soldiers of the Holy Britannian Empire Infantry from Code Geass) Also, he could see the soldiers of the republic, recognizable by their iron plates and armour covering parts of their body with helmets of knights but still sporting their shotguns.

He arrived in front of the soldiers of Salem.

Horus Lupercal: "Where is my mother?"

Soldier: "She is waiting for you, Lord Primarch Horus Lupercal."

Abaddon: "Something tells me that she has put some order inside of this republic… if we can still name it like that."

Horus sighed.

Horus: "It won't surprise me to the slightest. After all, this republic is rotten to the core."

They entered inside the palace and discover Salem discussing with inspectors of the Corpus Inquisitivum.

Salem: "After my departure. You will take charge of this sector. If one of you die before you ensured your line, report this. The Corpus will send a chief of replacement."

Horus: "Hello, mom."

Salem: "Hello, my boy. You have arrived in the good moment. If you want to know about the president. The population wanted a change of government. I organised new elections and guess what? 89 % of the population want the Imperium direct control of the planet, under my direct leadership. Isn't that wonderful?"

Horus: "Yes, I guess. After all, you managed to lead all the sectors donated to you with a better experience than anybody else in the Senatorum."

Salem: "Let me present you the new leaders of the sector. The Lord Investigator than you can see is now the new Sector Lord of Kerdon."

Lord Investigator: "It's an honor to meet you. Primarch Horus Lupercal."

Salem: "The Investigator on the left is chief of the armies."

Militant Investigator: "Hello, my lord."

Salem: "The Investigator on the middle lead the administration."

Administrator Investigator: "This is a great privilege to meet you."

Salem: "Finally, the Investigator on the right lead the Judiciary body."

Judiciary Investigator: "Hello my lord."

Horus: "You weren't supposed to have a speech before we leave?"

Salem: "Oh don't worry, Horus. This add of this new territory in my personal lands is a good thing. It means billions of more people who will enjoy prosperity."

At this moment, she takes a most contemplative and serious tone.

Salem: "You see Horus… I have so much worlds now. Much more than any members of the Senatorum Imperialis. More than Helies himself. With all of these worlds and constant new colonies being build. I will make sure to optimise them to their peak level of performance. Moral, Cultural, Industrial, Technological. Making them to their strongest version of themselves."

Horus: "Ho, that's good to hear."

Salem: "You will see my reasoning in my speech. Because, this is time to say what I have to say on my lands…"

Horus raised his eyebrow about this statement.

And a few hours later…

She arrived inside of a great room, filled a huge crowd of people. A table with a microphone is present. Horus stand out from the stage.

Speaker: "And now, an address from our new Lady of Kerdon. From the distant planet of Terra."

She puts her hands on the sides of the tables and rose up, facing the whole crowd.

Salem: "All men are NOT created Equal! Some has born stronger, others more beautiful, some from poor parents or born sick and feeble. In birth, in upbringing, in abilities and flaws, all humans are inherently different. Yes, that is why people despise from one another! They fight, they struggle! But also, these abilities make society and cooperation is the key! We progress with competition, struggle and cooperation… Inequality is not wrong… Equality is! What of the Federation of the Age of Technology, which made equality a right? Rabble politics with a popularity contest. The Union of Planets of Calervos in the Age of Strife which equalized the distribution of wealth? A nation of lazy dullards! But not the Imperium of Man. Competition and cooperation makes the society in his better state constantly, continuously evolving. The Imperium alone move forward. See the war from us who save all of your lives and the rest of our race. It is proof that the Imperium is the true path of evolution. Compete, acquire, cooperate, build, educate and spread. And in the end, the future shall be ours! (She raised her fist in the air). ALL HAIL IMPERIUM!"

At this moment and to the surprise of Horus. The crowd raised their fist at their turn.

Crowd: "ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM!"

Abaddon frowned a little.

Abaddon: "I have to say this: If there is a true successor in leadership of the Imperium. I bet on Lady Salem and certaintly not the High Lords of Terra.

Horus frowned to his turn.

Horus: "You right. She knows how to talk."

The two looks back to Salem, still the fist raised in the air when the crowd continues to acclaim the Imperium.

A few weeks later… In Terra.

Next to the Sanctum Imperialis is the building of the Adeptus Terra. Characterized by his square architecture with in center a huge dome of gold.

Inside of it, there is the different High Lords. Each one them are installed in a special chair around a round table when one of the places are occupied by each lord. The great seat of the Emperor is empty since he is leading the crusade and he is occupied by Malcador the Sigilitte. In his right, Salem was installed. In his left, there is Helies, the master of the Administratum. Then the rest of the table are installed the Fabricator-General of the Mechanicum, the Grand Provost Marshal of the Arbites, the Paternoval Envoy of the Navigators, the Grand Master of the Officio Assassinorum and the Master of the Astra Telepathica.

Even if Malcador created the Administratum and the Officio Assassinorum. This is better to have representative who can take charge of this. Salem since she is now the Mistress of the Corpus Inquisivitum, she is now as the side of Malcador. Because her role is too vital for the Imperium of Man.

Salem on these situations shows an extreme seriousness in the situation. Especially because of her rival, Helies Caserus. This man is the master of the Administratum and he is just next to Malcador, in the opposite of the woman direction. She despised him because he sees her as a lesser Lady and Helies estimated himself to be a better Lord, more capable to take decision than her. Also, with the fact that she leads the Corpus inside her flagship, the Infinite more than on Terra.

Besides, this day was important and Salem could feel it was for her directly.

Malcador: "We have learned that something happened in the Grüne Ebenen sector. A sector belonging to you Salem."

Salem: "Please elaborate. I was occupied with Horus on the compliance of Kerdon Prime and the retrieval of Zorai, the XIth Primarch."

Malcador: "A moral decay pandemic has happened in the Sector. A movement of pure madness has affected to this territory and threaten to overthrow the government in place."

Salem: "Which is ironic, I plummeted the decay of government in Kerdon Prime several weeks ago."

Malcador: "Yes, but here. Things are worse, especially after the case of Jesse Courtman."

Salem: "…"

Malcador activated a hologram displaying a picture of a bald man in his 50s.

Malcador: "He was a prolific producer of a Warp Motor for big vessels. But his case demonstrated that he was charged for rape of several women. He was condemned to be imprisoned for life."

Salem: "And? Because for now he is criminal like many others, except the fact that he was influent."

Malcador: "But for some reason. It started the movement 'We have been victims too'. A crazy moral onslaught who rampaged the society of Grüne Ebenen as we talk."

He pushed another button and show countless images of directors of enterprises, political leaders, military leaders and other men in the highest rank of the Grüne Ebenen society.

Malcador: "These photos displayed all the supposed criminals who has attacked women in this society."

Salem: "Okay. So, with what they have been charged. There is proof, discussion with the victims to make amends, deep investigations or something?"

Malcador: "There is the problem comes. The majority of these high-class leaders have been charged only because of testimony and/or allegations."

Salem: "What?! Where is the presumption of innocence until proven guilty? The due process? The right to face one's accuser? And the burden of proof?! All the rules of the Arbites?"

Helies: "Nowhere Salem. The values of the Arbites have been spatted upon."

Grand Provost Marshal of the Arbites: "And that's make me silently mad…"

Salem: "I understand your frustration. I will put down this threat of moral decay when I will arrive on Grüne Ebenen Erste."

Malcador: "Not so fast. This is not any kind of revolt or insurrectional movement whatsoever. This kind of thing has already happened in the long history of Mankind. When a developed society forgets his core values, it forgets itself as a whole and threaten to fall to madness and then oblivion. It was pretty rare because you have to fill very specific tips to see a society trying to destroy itself."

Salem: "For Imperium's sake… I cannot imagine why they do this."

Malcaodr: "This is better to not try to understand why but how to stop it."

Salem: "To be fair. I have no idea. And don't say that you have an idea to resolve magically everything to give the impression of superiority among us. We have lived for millenias inside of harsh and an unforgiving world, forcing to push ourselves to the excellence and perfection to not be dead on the ground. In prosperous societies, we have the tendency to forget this because it was far in the past and nobody cannot believe this harsh past. Constant reminder of this morale and the memory from the past keep ourself out from madness since the ancestors have created everything that us, have taken for granted. But in a well-advanced state of decay, it's really hard to resolve it. The only solution that I found for now is to reestablish the order by force."

Malcador: "Maybe. But here is an advance to all of you in this room if your lands are targeted by the moral decay. Use force in last resort, if the society in question reached a breaking point of madness. You have to try to reestablish the moral of this society to the right path in the first place."

Some high lords gossiped each other for this situation. Salem on her side decided to stand up.

Salem: "Can I?"

Malcador: "You can."

She leaves the table and then the room with her folders.

Salem: "I have to stop this."

A few moments later…

She sees a scene that surprise her. It was Zorai, Myn and Asuka facing Ilil. Zorai was holding the arm of Ilil who tries desperately to free himself.

Zorai: "I cannot believe that a spawn like you could be welcomed by mother."

Asuka: "Pathetic."

Myn: "Calm down you two. He is just a young boy."

Salem: "What are you doing you two? Zorai, release Ilil."

Zorai throw him to Salem that she catches him.

Salem sighed loudly to not anger herself.

Zorai: "He doesn't deserve to have my attention."

Salem: "And you don't deserve my attention altogether if you continue to act like this."

Zorai: "What do you mean?"

Salem: "I know that you despise Ilil. But he is here for a reason: to repair our relations with the Aeldaris. This is better to have them as allies and the first opening is this young Eldar. I forbid you to hurt him."

Zorai looks at Salem then to Ilil, then he goes inside the Sanctum Imperialis, followed by Asuka and Myn. Asuka turns to look at Ilil with contempt before turning back and follow her family inside.

Ilil: "They are so despicable."

Salem: "This is complicated Ilil. I have clearly a son who is a tyrant who laugh at kindness and peace. My granddaughter is quite narcissistic. But I hope I can change them overtime. Now, you will accompany me."

Ilil: "Where?"

Salem: "A system who can see a madness close to the last moments of the Fall of your race. The Asuryanis are not only one to search solutions against the moral decay. Do you understand what I mean?"

Ilil: "Huh… kinda."

Salem: "Okay, but don't forget your hoodie and cape."

Ilil: "Of… of course."

Salem: "Let's go to Grüne Ebenen Erste. I hope they sustained their fields and gardens."

Days later…

Salem with the Infinite arrived to Grüne Ebenen Erste, the planet is really beautiful surrounded with space stations for communication.

Salem: "It seems to be fine in appearance. But what happen if we observe more?"

And so, she descended on a barge accompanied with a few soldiers. Ilil was dressed in his usual cape. While Salem was still dressed in her usual cloth.

The barge arrived on the space port and opened its doors. The duo descended inside of space port. And officers arrived and pointed their weapons to the group, only to be responded by the soldiers of Salem with the same pointing.

Salem: "What it this? Lower your weapons, officers!"

Policeman: "Identify yourself."

Salem: "Salem Imperium, High Lady of the Senatorum Imperialis, leader of the 6th Expeditionary Fleet, mother of the Primarchs and especially: actual Overlady of this sector."

She takes out a paper from her gown, sporting the Imperial seal on it before presenting to them. They read it and widened.

Policeman 2: "It's authentic…"

They kneeled in front of her.

Policeman 3: "We are sorry for the inconvenience, my lady."

Salem: "That's better. You redeemed yourself. Let's go Ilil."

Salem goes on the space port followed by her fellow soldiers but also the maids who brings bags of clothes and meals.

Ilil: "I have a question."

Salem: "Yes, Ilil?"

Ilil: "Why didn't you put your associates in charge like you do it on the other systems?"

Salem: "Because I believed that the system will be well enough if I let them a bit alone. After their richness comes from their creativity and freedom of thought. But I as I observed there right now. I am just starting to think that I will maybe reconsider this decision. I greatly hope that this problem of moral decay is not that worrying…"

As she walks with her protegee inside the space port. As she entered to the access reserved to VIPs. She sees a complete lunatic scene in front of her.

A young girl who has the same corporal age as herself (after all she is still in her 16 years old body despite being millenias of living) yelling in a complete hysteria-fuelled tone to a man.

Girl: "You complete degenerate! You touched me and I called the police, you sexual fucking predator!"

Man: "What do you mean by that? I just slipped and catches myself on your shoulder!"

At this moment, two agents arrived.

Officer: "What happened?"

Girl: "This guy was trying to exploit me! He touched my shoulder like a perverted degenerate!"

Man: "Wait, I can explain!"

Officer 2: "You. You will be taken for interrogation!"

Man: "Wait, what?"

He is handcuffed and dragged away while the officer tries to reassure the girl gets slapped on the wrist.

Girl: "Don't touch me! You are not like this pervert, right? 'Cause I'm gonna report you to the Planetary network!"

Officer: "Of course not… Let's go."

He said that in an uneasy voice, like he was afraid of something. The duo goes followed the arrested man outside. Everything happened under the eyes of an utterly shocked Salem.

Salem: "What… the… hell… was that?"

Ilil: "Even the soldiers of Biel-Tan won't do that!"

Salem: "Tell me about it Ilil. Let's go…"

They exited to the parking but something was off: where was the private truck for her? She has announced her arrival on the planet! Two times that they forgotten the most basing things to welcome as they should do. Something was beginning to feel really off in her eyes.

Salem: "What the heck is happening? First the officers trying to arresting me? Then the girl making arrest the man for simple hysteric accusation and now that? This isn't the planet that I visited decades before. Everything was polite and well-mannered! Ugh…"

She opens her personal hologram on her watch and tries to contact the government but no one responds after multiple attempts. It further irritates her.

Salem: "I can't believe it… Let's call multiple taxis then!"

Maid: "What's happening my lady?"

Salem: "I seriously don't know why. It's like everything is disturbed. Either is a complete coincidence or I am facing head-on the problems plaguing this planet!"

She called the taxis in question, indicating her location just in case and began to wait on a bench, still well surrounded by maids and her personal guards.

She decided to read with Ilil a book in waiting.

But one hour later… the bad luck hit her once again. Because two teenage girls arrived in front of her. Salem sees them in the corner of her eye, she could they wears ridiculous overcharged make-up and revealing clothes who tries really hard to be sexy but end up just being really, REALLY uncomfortable to her. She feels her gut tightening by this level of cringe she has never feel before. But its about to get worse.

Girl 1: "Oh look. A girl like us but she dresses up like an old lady!"

Girl 2: "She is surrounded by guards and maids. Complete old hag!"

Salem feels her veins pumping inside her head since she begins to feel angered and insulted. She tries to concentrate on her reading with the help of Ilil who put his hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. She could see by glancing a little that the two girls have now their hologram watch lighten up.

Girl 1: "Look my viewers. We have an old-fashioned girl surrounded by a royalty! That's unbelievable!"

Girl 2: "Do you realise it? She wears an old gown from 80 years ago! That's so cringe!"

They make false exaggerated surprised faces while filming themselves. It was getting on Salem nerves and she could feel her anger only rising and she tries really to hold it back to not make a scene.

Girl 1: "Let's go ask her!"

Girl 2: "Let's see the motivations of her outdated taste! This is the video of the century!"

Salem (whispering): "Don't make myself explode… Go away and bother someone else…"

They approached Salem or try to approach her because they are pushed back by the guards.

Guard 1: "Hey! Go away!"

Guard 2: "Don't disturb Lady Salem!"

Girl 1: "Lady Salem? She is a real royalty! This is so funny; don't you see my buds?"

She takes a selfie with her friend, with Salem in the background. Salem was absolutely furious but she holds back her anger but it's really difficult. Ilil clings on her, because he is nervous with these two girls.

Ilil (whispering): "These girls are like the whores of Commoragh."

Salem (whispering): "You can say that again… Ilil."

She tried to breath in calm but these girls continue who continuously tries to approach her while being pushed back the guards but also by the maids.

Guard 3: "Get out of here now!"

Guard 4: "Stop bothering her!"

Maid 1: "Stop that!"

Maid 2: "You are completely insane!"

The girls grow more and more insistent.

Girl 1: "Hey! I am going to show my public how ridiculous your lady is! And I will do it!"

Girl 2: "Yeah, I am sure that this chick is a daddy's girl who locked her all time, teaching her outdated tradition! Ahahahaha!"

This idiotic laugh was the last straw, Salem tears apart her book, where the sheets either falls to the ground or fly by the wind. Salem stands up and without a word, she approached the girls. Her eyes glowing brightly in a red light. But instead to be nervous or even afraid from her. The girls are quite excited.

Girl 1: "Hooo! This will be the buzz!"

Girl 2: "Come on, talk to us!"

Salem with her two fists smashed the top-heads of the two girls, knocking them out immediately. She takes their watch and crushes it with her fingers.

Salem: "We have lost enough time. These girls will bother us when they will wake up. Let's walk to the palace. Forget about the taxis."

Without a talk, they all agree. They installed the two girls on the bench before walking their way in the city.

More they walked inside the center. More the city appears completely disgusting. It shocked Salem on the highest.

Salem: "What just happened to this planet? It was so healthy and so clean."

Maid: "It's not what my grandma tells me in the past. She said this city was comparable: 'To a harmonious piece of cake that you have taken care after one day of decorating it.' This is so sad…"

Salem: "Fortunately. She is not alive anymore to see this city in a such depressing state… I began regretting to not put any advisors to prevent that!"

She could see burglars and a lot of vagabonds dressed in rags siting everywhere they can inside this city.

After hours of walking inside the city, they finally arrived in front of the presidential palace who seems to be relatively spared from the disgusting state of the city.

She entered inside of the palace and goes in front of the register lady.

Salem: "Hello. I am here to claim a guest chamber for the time being."

She puts out her paper and present it in front of the register lady. After reading, the register lady gives it back to Salem.

Register lady: "I am sorry but the palace is full of guests."

Salem: "What? You have seen my paper. I am the actual overlady of this system who is under my leadership. So, I have all the right to claim a room from myself. Also, I send to you a message days ago about my arrival. I have at least the rank of an undisputable ambassador."

Register lady: "Sorry miss. The priorities are for the leaders of the 'We have been victims too' group who are inside now. But you can speak to the manager."

Salem sighed hard.

Salem: "No, I am better than that. I won't lose my time anymore. Let's go."

She exited the palace accompanied by the same group. They walked inside the city now without fast solutions.

Guard: "Without being annoying ma'am but I began to feel my foot really painful."

Salem: "This is because of this sickening town. I will find an hotel or we return to the Infinite."

Salem checks on her hologram the different disponible hotels inside of this town. A lot of them are full, which irritates her even more.

Salem: "I… I just… Not, it's fine. It doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me… No, it bothers me… It bothers me too much!"

Ilil: "Wait there is a free hotel!"

He points out the hotel in question.

Salem: "Three stars… not too bad. Let's go before its place is taken!"

They run to the hotel and after minutes of running and recuperating. They rushed inside of the hotel. Salem arrived to the register desk.

Employee: "Yes?"

Salem: "Have you enough rooms here? I have me, Ilil, 4 maids and 4 guards to welcome them."

Employee: "This is forbidden to have weapons inside of it. I ask you to leave."

Salem without saying anything removes from her gown her paper. The register reads it and widened a little.

Employee: "Oh… my apologies my lady."

Salem: "Thank you."

The employee gives the keys to Salem.

Employee: "The 401th, 402th and 403th rooms in the last floor are really good suites."

Salem: "Okay."

She takes the keys and goes to the elevator.

Employee: "My lady. The elevator is malfunctioning, you have to take the stairs."

Salem grunted before going the stairs followed by her group. After a moment, they arrived in the fourth floor and finds the rooms. They opened the doors for the three rooms.

Salem: "I will go with Ilil to the 402th room. The maids will go for the 403th room when you the guards will be inside the 401th room."

The group: "Yes mistress!"

Salem: "Give me my suitcase and Ilil's case."

The maids give the cases before opening the doors of their rooms, the guards take their suitcases before going inside their rooms.

Salem goes inside the room and posed the suitcases and opened them. Revealing a lot of different clothes inside of it, even they are a bit dominated by the same red and black robes who are like she wears it. She began to unpack them.

Ilil: "I have question thought."

Salem: "Yes, Ilil?"

Ilil: "Why are you wearing the same cloth?"

Salem: "Because I like them. In addition, it shows my stature in a sober and simple way. Overcharged clothe with decoration or whatever are just simply ridiculous and unnecessary. Malcador said to me that 'Showing off is a fool's idea'. Also, guess who are the most common kind of people who wears too much flamboyant clothes?"

Ilil: "The self-absorbed ones?"

Salem: "Absolutely. The ones who have a life without any problems that they create themselves problems on the basic and trivial things. The two girls from before are a clear example of that. I have a clear sense of fashion and its isn't a problem to change at certain time to add some variety. But being upset for the wrong set of clothes is simply crazy. The cloth is not a simple piece of product on your skin, this is part of you and who you are. My robe and my style who I wear most of the time is what I am. The dark blue cloth and the dark pants you wear all the time under your cape makes you who you are: Ilil Swiftseeker. But the entitled ones who has no life of responsibility are constantly changing because they are empty as clothe without anything to sustain them."

Ilil: "Okay."

Salem: "Now. I will make the things right from now on…"

The evening. Salem ignited the hologram of the room. She could the news inside of it unlike the actuality on the fights against Xenos or any war happening. Just… banalities.

Salem: "I shouldn't let them the autonomy at all."

Ilil: "But where is the problem with this?"

Salem: "I implemented policies inside of the planets that I possess that any news concerning war against the Xenos and Chaos has to be published in priority. This is worrying yes, but it made the population constantly aware that there are still threats looming for Mankind. You are constantly reminded of the threats when you were inside Biel-Tan, right?"

Ilil: "Yeah… After the fall, we have lost everything. Always wandering inside of the void, with these Craftworlds who was just merchant ships. We have no allies at this era, completely alone. The Krorks, our eternal allies have declined to these dumb monsters they are now. And then, the inhabitants of Commoragh, they are completely drowning in perversion… with one who is my actual mom. The Harlequins, they come in times of parties dedicated to our past but they leave as quick as they come. Never wanting to be known. For the Corsairs, they came rarely to us. They only deliver a small part of their small treasure and guard with jealousy the rest. For the Exodites… I don't where they are 'cause they are well hidden. And since we have taught to hate the lesser races constantly then… yeah. I am aware of the exterior."

Salem softens her expression.

Salem: "This is exactly why we are leading this Great Crusade in the Galaxy. The Fall of the Aeldaris is an historic moment for multiple reasons but the most important thing to remind that the threat of Chaos is revealed in front of everyone. It's a force of corruption who tries to made slave of your worst version of yourself."

Ilil: "I know… I know…"

At one moment, the news shows something who catches the eye of Salem.

News: "Aristite Cariste has been arrested for allegations of abuse on a woman named Ivia Carrestad. She has described him to be a sociopath who harass the others in his work. We have learned that he has fired from his work. But surprisingly, his wife and his children argue to have done nothing since in the events of the crime, he was supposedly with his family at this moment. His judgement is for today and he is about to be judged for his crime."

Salem sighed.

Salem: "This news is already politically charged. This is not good."

The news displayed the wife of Cariste talking to the journalists.

Wife of Cariste: "Since the arrestation of Jesse Courtman. The 'We have been victims too' movement passed from the comprehensible concern to complete and utter witch hunt. Just to destroy everyone who just express doubt or even criticise this. My husband is arrested on a lie, because he is a very successful businessman in addition to be a loving husband and father. And the worst is the fact that it continuously destroys carriers and making the workplace from sterile to unbearable."

Journalist 2: "We have to make you know that many of his female coworkers feel unsafe after he makes bad jokes about the girls on their phones."

Wife of Cariste: "For what? He has the right to do these jokes even if it didn't make laugh anyone."

At this moment, a woman wearing a shirt with a symbol of woman raising her fist in the sky.

Woman: "You are fucking supporter of the rapes! You should have called out your disgusting husband for his disgusting crime!"

Wife of Cariste: "You are an idiot! A complete crazy woman and I will hold you accountable if he is declared guilty!"

Woman: "Shut up! You have no right to say that! You lose the right since you are against the greater good of all women!"

Salem decided to change the news.

Salem: "Ilil… I will deal with this issue tomorrow when we have the time. I will call reinforcements from the Infinite. We don't know what could happen next."

Ilil: "I cannot see any good in it…"

The next day…

Salem accompanied by her four guards and Ilil exited the hotel who was completely surrounded by journalists. She could see the two taxi she has called this morning.

Journalist: "We want to ask you a question, Salem from the Imperium!"

Journalist 2: "Why you have assaulted the two girls from yesterday?"

Guard: "Get out! She doesn't want to be bothered by your questions!"

Guard 2: "She wants to go to the presidential palace immediately! To ask the president for an urgent reunion!"

Guard 3: "Get out!"

Salem is unfazed by this uproar of journalists that the guards pushed back. Ilil was still clinging on her arm. She arrived to her taxi with Ilil while the four guards embarked inside the other taxi.

Salem: "To the palace!"

And so, the two taxi leave the street.

After turns inside the city, they finally arrived to the palace. Fortunately, there is not so much journalists for now. She exited the car while Ilil stays inside.

Salem: "Guard the cars for now."

Guard: "Yes, my lady!"

They pointed their weapons to the drivers, making them unable to leave.

She goes inside of it alone and goes to the register desk.

Salem: "Where is the president? I have to ask him immediately for a reunion!"

Employee: "Oh my god! Don't hurt me please!"

Salem sighed.

Salem: "I won't hurt you. I want to know where is the president!"

Employee: "In the parliament palace. He is going to have a very important reunion with the members of the 'We have been victims too' movement.

Salem: "So let's go there…"

She returns to the exterior where she could see that the cars of the journalists are coming for her.

Salem: "Let's not waste no time…"

She runs toward to her car and goes inside once again. Ilil was still inside.

Ilil: "What happened?"

Salem: "The president is inside of the parliament palace. Apparently, he is making a reunion with these activists. (to the driver) To the parliament palace!"

The taxi goes once again in the road, followed by the taxi of the guards. She checks her hologram for one moment. She could see that the soldiers she has in reserve are coming to the space port by additional barges while the rest of the army inside of the Infinite is prepared for an all-out assault.

Salem: "Good."

She closes her hologram and she could see the parliament palace in front of her.

Salem: "Let's get over with immediately."

The two taxis stopped in front of the palace and Salem rushed out from the vehicles while the other vehicle exited the guards who followed her to the entry.

Police officer: "Stop!"

Police officer 2: "You cannot pass. This is an important reunion between the president and the group in question."

Salem: "When they finish?"

Police officer 3: "Don't know but this is very tense inside of it."

Salem: "Let me enter to just wait inside. I am still the overlady of this sector."

She gives the paper and the officers looks inside.

Police officer 4: "It's authentic."

Police officer 5: "Okay. You can enter."

Salem: "Thanks…"

She enters inside of the palace and walk inside of the corridors. As she arrived inside of the waiting room accompanied by the guards.

She could hear from the wall the heated debate between the senators, the president and the pressure group.

Salem: "This is not good."

Ilil: "Hm… I don't like this."

Salem: "Me too. At any moment where the situation goes out of hand. I will send my troops to Grüne Ebenen Erste."

But she heard more powerful voices inside of it. It was not arguing inside of it anymore. It was screaming of rage, rants or shouts. It was pure breakdown.

Salem rose up from her chair, curious.

Salem: "What's happening?"

Then she could see that a lot of girls in the corridors. All wearing the same shirt of their group coming to the doors to inside of the parliament. She could see their look of entitlement mixed with determination and rage.

Salem: "This is not good at all…"

But they see her for her surprise and disbelief.

Woman 1: "Hey! This is the Lady of the Imperium!"

Woman 2: "What are you here?"

Salem tries to turn back and don't bring attention to herself. But she is catched on her arm by one of the activists.

Woman 3: "You won't go anywhere you miserable!"

Woman 4: "Why are you come here to bother us?!"

Guard: "Let her go!"

He points his gun to her but the 3rd woman is not listening.

Woman 3: "I'm gonna report you if you enter my personal space!"

Woman 4: "Yeah! You fucking man!"

The guards push them from Salem.

Salem: "Thank you… (turn to the girls). I won't disturb in the slightest in your debate in this court. I have other things to do."

Woman 5: "Like what for example?! Impose your oppressive regime on us all?"

Salem rolled her eyes.

Salem: "By the Imperium, not the rants…"

And so, she ignores all the rants shouted at her by the women in the other side of the wall of guards. After long minutes of these rants. Someone exited of the doors of the parliament and everyone shuts up.

This is a kind of a woman who has a very short dark hair, the same shirt has the other. But it's clearly the kind of the leader.

Leader: "What is happening girls?!"

Woman 6: "This is the Lady who has come from the Imperium of Man! The oppressive regime we try to push back from our society!"

Salem frowns from it but stay silent to not launch another uproar.

Leader: "Oh, this is you. The representative of this oppressive regime of the Imperium of MAN. Isn't it?"

Salem (in authoritative tone): "Who are you? State your name."

Leader: "I am Rose Coney. The leader of the 'We have been victim too' movement. The movement who will establish justice in the Grüne Ebenen society."

Salem: "Then. I am Salem from the Imperium of Man. High Lady of the Imperium of Man. Leader of the 6th Expeditionary Fleet, mother of the Primarchs and overall: Actual Overlady of the Imperium. The President represents me and the whole Imperium. If you want to talk to the actual manager of the whole sector. This is me and no one else. Then, go ahead. What is your problem?"

She has put out her paper to show before all her stature. But Rose Coney was unfazed.

Rose Coney: "And what?! I won't let you to do anything to restore this oppressive regime to us!"

Salem frowns more.

Salem: "The Imperium helped you to rebuild the society with the force of your ancestors and this is how you thank us and your own grandpa and grandmas? This is so disgraceful."

Rose Coney: "You are just an oppressor for everyone, especially women of the Grüne Ebenen Society. And I will show everyone how evil you are. In the senate."

Salem stays cold and composed.

Salem: "Fine. Say what do you have to said. But in the end, you'll regret to defy me. (turn to the guard). Let me pass."

Guard 3: "Are you sure?"

Salem: "Yes. Protect Ilil for now."

Guard 4: "Okay, mistress…"

They give path to Salem and so goes to the crowd of the hateful looks of the group. The guards surround Ilil.

But to their ignorance, Salem pushed a small button two times on her watch before entering the Senate.

It was a quite big amphitheatre, with hundreds of members from all over the Grüne Ebenen sector. Salem walked inside of it under the looks of the whole senate. She could see the President inside of the tribune in the center. He was quite surprised to see her.

President of Grüne Ebenen: "My… My lady, you are here…"

Salem: "I will take the parole."

Salem goes to the table under of the desk of the president. She put her hands in the sides of the table and look to the senators but also the militant group.

Salem: "I have come here to resolve this conflict inside your society. Since, it only getting worse each passing day. So, explain to me what is the meaning of this witch hunt against the elites of the society after the trial of Jesse Courtman?"

After a few gossiping. A few senators decided to talk.

Senator: "This is not a witch hunt. This is a movement of justice against all aggressors."

Salem: "While forbidding the main principles of the Arbites? Where is the presumption of innocence until proven guilty? The due process? The right to face one's accuser? And the burden of proof? All of this to make a right justice. Balance between popular hysteria and extreme laxism?"

Senator 2: "We are applicating it!"

Salem: "This is a lie. You base your trials only on allegations and accusation. Condemning innocents to rot in prison while they didn't do anything."

Rose Coney: "You are the only one who is lying! Victims of abuse has to be always be believed!"

Salem: "I had thought that you based your principles of the same that one of the Arbites! But I suspected that you are slipping away to the breaking point with the trial of Jesse Courtman. She activated a giant hologram is the room and reveal the whole speech of Salem on Kerdon, with the end the Kerdon population. The whole senate is shocked while was fuming internally.

Finally, the Senators began to shout against Salem. Calling her names and accusing her to disrupting the population.

Rose Coney: "We will chase you away! Take her!"

But Salem jumps from the tribune and runs as fast as she could, skilfully avoiding the senators trying to have catch her. She exited the room and finds the group of soldiers and Ilil. She clicked three times her button on her watch.

Ilil: "What's happening?!"

Salem: "Let's go Ilil! This city has become dangerous to us!"

They rushed inside the palace, trying to stop them.

Policeman: "Stop! We have to stop you!"

Policeman 2: "Lay your weapons down and lie to the ground!"

Before Salem could respond, Rose Coney arrived.

Rose Coney: "Shoot them! SHOOT THEM ALLL!"

Salem: "You are completely crazy and self-absorbed!"

She smashed the gut of the girl, giving the guards the signal to shoot at the two policemen. They rushed outside. She could see that the barge arrived in front of everyone.

Salem jumped in, followed by Ilil and the 4 guards. And then, they fly away to go to the hotel where the maids are.

The maids were outside, waiting for her.

Maid 1: "We have received your distress call our watches, Lady Salem."

Salem: "Come, this place is too dangerous! Forget about bringing the bags!"

They climbing inside the barge and leave the city and then the planet to go back in the Infinite. They go inside of the ship. After going inside of the bridge, the captain now quite elderly despite his medications arrived to her.

Captain: "What's happening my lady?"

Salem: "We have to go in safe system! Quick!"

Captain: "Okay, my lady!"

Salem: "Let's go!"

And then the Infinite goes outside of the Grüne Ebenen sector.

In the next week, Salem learned to an adjacent planet of the Grüne Ebenen Sector. She has learned that since her chase from the sector. The political madness inside of the system has only worsened. A lot of politics inside the Grüne Ebenen sector rejected the Imperium as a whole while other supported it, arguing that the Grüne Ebenen prosperity was due from the Imperium. And then, the Rose Coney forced the precedent president has been send out and Rose Coney has been elected to be the new president. In a total hysteric speech, she declares that the Grüne Ebenen sector is independent from the Imperium and will chase away any Imperial from here and wish dead on Salem herself.

And Salem has no other choice but to put them down by force. Also, she was disgusted by all the things she has faced on her small journey on this planet.

On the planet of Grün. She was facing her army of the 6th Expeditionary fleet on a tribune. She could Baneblade Tanks and the own Mobile Suit she has fabricated on her planets. (Note: These are the Knightmare Frames from the Royal Panzer Infantry of the Holy Britannian Empire of Code Geass).

Salem: "This movement of this sector has put this planet on a path of complete and irredeemable betrayal of the whole Imperium. The same sector that has been cooperating with us for the greater good of the human race. And this is how they thank us! By insulting us, by rejecting us and rejecting the Imperium values along with their own values! They believe to fight for freedom, justice and other things! These are lies, illusion and madness! Nothing more! They don't want to be killed, they don't to be robbed. Using the twin lies of justice and morality, the weak endeavour to protect themselves! But they have forgotten the first truth: the strongest always win, so let us make they learn in the hard way their own weakness and cowardice! We must crush this deception and bring forth the truth. The Imperial Truth! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM!"

The soldiers raised their fists in the air and the mobile suit does the same things.

Soldier: "ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM! ALL HAIL IMPERIUM!"

Salem: "Step forth and reclaim this territory!"

And so, in the next week. The invasion of the Grüne Ebenen as begun. Despite a few fights. The reign of Rose Coney was handicapped by a lot of politics who refused her leadership and a great part of army of the Grüne Ebenen who joined the Imperium. Deeming their new president too crazy and delusional for them. The rebellion was put down rapidly and Rose Coney is brought inside of the Infinite, chained over in the eight day. She was inside of a cell completely naked.

Rose Coney: "You miserable bitch!"

Salem: "You are the one who has put the Grüne Ebenen Sector in danger. And since I saw that your republic has betrayed the Imperium. I decided to step forth. It has to be properly managed and so, from now on. The Corpus Inquisivitum will take charge of this."

Rose Coney: "You are a monster to abolish our rights! You are truly monstrous."

Salem slapped her in the face.

Salem: "You are the one who is the monster who disrespect our Imperium as a whole. Our laws and our justice. For this reason. I will make sure that nobody like will ever rose again."

Rose Coney: "What do you to me?"

Salem: "Make you suffer like you have done to many innocent men who has never asked anything from you and some them committed suicide because you. You have blood in your hands."

She snapped her fingers and four men have arrived to her; they are completely naked. Rose Coney widened.

Men 1: "Of course my lady."

Salem (authoritative tone): "Now do your thing. I leave you in privacy."

Rose Coney: "NO! NOOO! PLEASE!"

She closed the door and locked it. Leaving her prisoner with the four convicted.

Men 3: "I hope you will enjoy it. Because us. We do…"

Rose Coney: "NOOOO! NOOOO! DON'T APPROACH ME! HEEELLPPPP!"

They grabbed her and forced themselves inside of her.

A few weeks later. In Terra, inside the Sanctum Imperialis.

Salem: "… And this is the end of my story."

She was facing Horus, Leman Russ, Rogal Dorn, Perturabo, Lorgar Aurelian, Ferrus Manus and Sanguinius who were all shocked.

Rogal Dorn: "That's… cruel."

Perturabo nodded.

Ferrus Manus: "Are you sure it was necessary?"

Horus: "Because you are not better than her."

Salem takes an extremely cold look. A look that the Primarchs were shocked even more, like they never see that look before.

Salem: "This betrayal… This disgusting betrayal and insult against me were unacceptable, along with the fact she used a good movement and transforms to onslaught just to ruin lives of others… I name that retribution."

The Primarchs looks each other before coming back to Salem.

Sanguinius: "If you say that, even if I consider it's still exaggerated…"

Salem: "Hm… At any case, we closed this case and the system is under control from now on. Let's go back to our usual duties, shall we, my sons?"
