Robert met Laura at his office, figuring it would be easier to talk privately there.

Laura gave Robert a hug. "How are you doing? How's Holly and everyone else?"

"We are all okay, would be better if that mad woman was off the streets which leads me to what I have to talk to you about." Robert had returned her hug before going over to his desk and taking a seat.

Laura sat down. "Okay, go ahead." She was curious about what he had to asked her and as he knew if it was in her power he would have it.

"I'm thinking of resigning as the DA." Robert told Laura, waiting to see how she responded.

"What? Why? Are you wanting to spend more time with Holly?" Laura knew they had lost a lot of time but also knew that they did always seem to make time for each other here lately.

"Yes but I also am thinking I would like a crack at my old job. This town has been taken over by the mob for far too long." Robert told Laura, knowing she would understand where he was coming from.

Laura couldn't help but smile, she didn't live in town long while he was the police commissioner but she definitely knew he was the best. "Are you sure you want to take this on? It might mean a lot of time away from Holly. I don't want you two to miss out."

"It won't, I won't let that happen but yes I am sure. I have two granddaughters and a grandson who are only going to see this town as the mess it is right now. Someone has to fix it." Robert spoke from the heart, he hated that Emma already saw it how it was right now.

Laura smiled and reached out to take his hand in hers. "Well you know what? You are just the man for the job. If you really want to do this I am completely behind you. I'll see if Molly wanted to take over as the DA for now at least."

"Thank you Laura." Robert went over to give her a hug. The two friends embraced. "I can't wait to tell Holly. I am gonna pack up this office and get back home to her."

"You give her my love. Kevin and I will stop by to see you all soon if you would like?" Laura didn't want to just invite herself.

"You know you two are welcomed." Robert gave her a warm smile.

Laura left the office and Robert started to pack up, he opened up the drawer and found the picture of him and Holly in it. It was an older one, from when they were first really together and he loved it. He put it in a box and went to go get more boxes. Once he had everything packed up he decided to give Holly a call.

Holly saw it was Robert when she looked at her cell phone and hit answer. "How did it go?" She asked.

Robert smiled at the fact that she was right to the point. "Wonderful, this is the last time you're talking to DA Robert Scorpio."

"Does this mean what I think this means?" Holly asked, the excitement in her voice making Robert smile even more.

"If you are wondering if you are going to once again be sharing a bed with the police commissioner the answer is yes." Robert's tone told the whole story. He was happy to be taking this back over and hopefully getting this town into shape.

"Oh we will have to celebrate! How does champagne and caviar in the sauna sound?" Holly asked him as she was unpacking some of her stuff.

"Oh that sounds likes heaven. I'll be home soon." Robert closed up the box.

"Not soon enough, I'll have everything ready. We might need to celebrate with the family first. I think Seana in particular is going to want to congratulate her grandpa." Holly's face lit up talking about her granddaughter.

"It will be great. I'll pick up some pizzas on the way back, maybe even dessert." Robert got his boxes together.

"And here I thought I was going to be dessert." Holly smirked as she sat down on the bed.

Robert took a moment to find his words. "Dessert we can share."

Holly chuckled. "I love you."

"I love you too." Robert said before getting off the phone. He went down to his car, putting his boxes in it and then started the drive back home.
