Hello everybody! Until a new chapter of Lucy Lament Lincoln Loss comes out, it's time to finally start this maxi-saga involving Loud House! I've been trying to get started for over a year, at least, but when I discovered while browsing DeviantArt that I had been saying for over a year that I would start the fanfic "soon", I felt ashamed and decided to start, even without my idea is completely ready. I start at the beginning, which has long been well defined, and then I fill in the gaps. Simple, but not easy.
In this fanfic, Gylmar and Tarsila, my OCs from DeviantArt, are living in the USA and will live in the Loud House, in another deployment of "that" episode...
We will see conflicts, a bit of violence (against males and females), reckoning, loving bonds, character development and some remissions at the end. And Chandler won't be the main villain.
I'll warn you that not everyone will like the treatment given to Lincoln in this fanfic. So, if you are a follower of Saint Lincoln's Church, then sorry: this fanfic is not for you.
Enjoy!
Chapter 01:
Goths Like What They Want
After buying her new poetry notebook, invariably with a black cover, the girl in a dark gray sweatshirt and hood discreetly leaves the stationery section and heads to the children's literature section.
She made a point of exploring the bookstore alone. Not merely to gain autonomy, but to be able to act calmly.
She scans the shelf with her eye until she finds the target of her desire.
Yes, there are: beautiful, cheerful, attractive, pink...
She raises her hand shakily, looking around, making sure no one is watching her.
Not that being 8 years old is an obstacle to her enjoying children's romance. In fact, age should never be an obstacle to anything, she thinks.
But she is afraid of compromising her identity and reputation if she is seen in contact with such material.
She collects the novel and uses the notebook to cover it up, being careful not to be seen as a thief.
She sighs deeply and starts her way out of the bookstore.
When paying at the checkout, she refuses to package her purchase, in the name of the environment.
After leaving the bookstore, which is in the middle of the boulevard, she stands still in front of the automatic glass door.
While a crowd of human people and anthropomorphic animals enter, leave and circulate around her, she tries to hide the romance inside her clothes.
"Dang it... What a time to get the zipper on my sweatshirt stuck."
She pulls her sweatshirt underneath and tries to tuck the novel into her white shirt.
She's so focused that she doesn't even notice the column of books that rises behind her.
CABLAM!
Several volumes are spread across the sidewalk!
The goth girl is pushed to the floor, where she lies flat on her back!
A boy with a thin mustache, furry ears and a pointy tail falls on all fours, right on top of the girl!
Some adults and children stop and contemplate the scene, in a mix of astonishment and admiration.
Others just glance at them and move on.
The two children's eyes meet.
He blushes at the ultra-pale skin and the long black bangs that cover the girl's eyes, as if hiding a forbidden beauty.
She also blushes at the boy's two-colored eyes, one blue and the other yellow, as well as his white fur, brown hair and pink nose. A festival of colors composing a vivid and beautifully organized set, to the point of provoking the most confused disorder of feelings in the coldest and most stoic of girls...
"Enough, fanwriter! The embarrassment of putting me in the middle of this cliché of a casual encounter through a collision is enough!"
Oh-oh...
One thing you'll see frequently in this fanfic is Gylmar Genius Cat breaking the fourth wall to complain about the adverse conditions in the plot.
"No one deserves the mediocrity of your writing!"
Watch out, Gylmar. Before I decide to infarct you in the first chapter.
"Ah, that's great. First you want to force an instant romance on me, then you think about killing me?! You really know how to take care of your characters!"
"So your name is Gylmar?" Lucy Loud asks.
"Huh? Er... Yes, I am... I mean..." Gylmar gasps, as he helps the dark girl to her feet. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am," she assures, patting her clothes. "Sorry for barring your way."
"No, it's all my fault," Gylmar bows kindly, as she surveys the books scattered across the floor. "I should have been careful as I left the bookstore. But there were so many books I bought that my vision ended up being obstructed and..."
"The Privileged Sex, of Martin Van Creveld?" She look at the title, perplexed.
Gylmar shivers!
"Things are not always what they seem!" He emphasizes, unceremoniously snatching the volume from her hands. "This is an anthropological compendium on the protagonism of women throughout World History."
"Interesting," she rubs her chin. "So you like strong women?"
"Yes," he smiles, a little embarrassed. "It's a subject that fascinates me. I'm really interested in strong girls."
"Well, get ready to meet another one!"
"Who said that?" He asks, without looking back.
"YAAAHHH!"
Lynn Loud Jr. appears flying in a super jump, throwing herself at Gylmar, suddenly knocking him to the ground.
Filling him with punches!
"Take this, and this, and this, and a little more than this!"
"Leonard, stop!" Lucy demands.
"Stop my ass!" Stubborn Lynn doesn't give up and continues punching the poor feline!
"But can't you see he's a cat?!"
"And so what?!" Lynn ignores, without interrupting her work. "It's eye for eye! We should have no mercy against anyone who..."
Lynn interrupts suddenly.
Her eyes widen.
"You mean... that he isn't the boy who attacked you?"
"Of course not!" Lucy assures. "It was a blond ram! And quite arrogant, by the way!"
"Sorry, but... What exactly are you talking about?" Gylmar asks, rubbing his head.
Lynn Jr. helps Gylmar to his feet:
"You know what… My sister Lucy is being bullied by an anthro boy at our school. He has your body type, the same white fur as yours and he also likes blue clothes like yours."
"Well…" Gylmar feels his jaw. "Having a brother like you as a bodyguard, your little sister seems pretty safe."
"She's a girl too," Lucy clarifies.
"Huh? So why is her name Leonard?" Gylmar finds it strange.
"Ah, long story," the athletic girl sums up, while putting on her backpack: "Due to a mistake by the hospital, they thought I would be born male, and my father was so crazy to have a boy that he already registered me before I was born."
"Are you sure it wasn't something else?" Gylmar suggests, arms crossed, completely serious.
She frowns, looking indignant.
"And your father never corrected your name? Oh, and what do I care about?"
"You're right: it doesn't really matter," she holds out her hand. "And by the way, you can call me Lynn."
"I'm Gylmar," he shakes her hand.
"Sorry for the mistake," Lynn retracts.
"All good. But next time, ask your sister if the boy next to her is bothering her."
"Okay. Or if he's flirting. Nowadays, you can barely distinguish one thing from another."
"Yes."
Lucy finishes stacking Gylmar's volumes.
"Well, here are your books."
"Thank you," the cat thanks.
"We better go, Lynn."
"Did you buy everything you wanted?" Lynn asks.
"Yes," Lucy assures, showing her new poetry notebook.
"Excellent. Keep it in my backpack," Lynn points out, crouching down with her back to Lucy.
"Wait!"
Lynn and Lucy turn their attention to Gylmar.
"This isn't my book," Gylmar pulls it out. "Take."
Lucy gets goosebumps!
"It's not mine either," she lies.
"How not? It was with you when we bumped into each other."
Lynn grabs the novel and reads the title.
"Pony Princess and The End of World?!"
Lucy blushes.
Lynn bursts into laughter.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Seriously, Raven?! I thought it was only Stinkoln who appreciated this trash! Even you?! How could you?! You are a goth girl! Is your dark vibe wearing thin already?!"
Other children overhear and start laughing with Lynn, leaving Lucy completely embarrassed!
"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
"AND SO WHAT?!"
The laughter dies down...
Gylmar, in the height of his indignation, begins to speak in the middle of the boulevard, making some passersby stop to listen:
"Is there any specific clause in the Statute of the Syndicate of Goths, Emos, Death Metals and Similars expressly prohibiting its members from liking pink characters?!"
Lynn falls silent.
"If Lucy enjoys the Pony Princess's bright and colorful romances, how does that make her any less dark than her peers?!"
Nobody retorts.
"Goths like what they want!"
...
The crowd applauds!
CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!
Now it's Gylmar who blushes.
Spotlights aren't his thing.
He changes the subject:
"Er... Has anyone seen my little sister around?"
"YAAAHHH!"
Tarsila The Fennec appears flying in a super jump, throwing herself at Gylmar, suddenly knocking him to the ground.
"And Gylmar does his Turn Down For What once again!" She exclaims, waving her arms.
"I don't need flattery..." Gylmar mutters, with his face on the ground.
She releases the boy and heads towards the haunted Lynn and Lucy.
"Hello! My name is Tarsila. I am Gylmar sister."
"Oh, enchanted... I'm Lucy."
"And I'm Lynn. Are you… a fox?"
"Yes. A fennec fox. And who of you is girlfriend of Gylmar?"
They become even more silent!
"Chega, Tarsila!" Gylmar decrees in portuguese. "Que tal me ajudar a guardar esses livros?"
("Enough, Tarsila! How about helping me put away these books?")
"Okay," Tarsila opens her own backpack.
Lynn decide:
"Well, Lucy, you better keep your Princess Pony novel in my backpack too. When we get home, no one needs to see you with that in your hand."
"Right."
Gylmar claps:
"Vamos, Tatá. O orfanato não tolera atrasos."
("Come on, Tatá. The orphanage does not tolerate delays.")
"Okay, okay."
"Wait: are you orphans?" Lynn finds strange.
Tarsila explains:
"No. Our mother is in hospital because..."
"Shhh. Deixe as fofocas pra depois, Tatá," Gylmar interrupts her.
("Shhh. Leave the gossip for later, Tatá.")
Tarsila shrugs.
"Sorry. We really need to go," Gylmar emphasizes to Lynn and Lucy.
Finally, Gylmar puts on his backpack.
"Deixe que eu carrego. Quem levanta peso aqui sou eu."
("Let me carry it. I'm the one lifting weights here.")
"Eu não sou uma boneca de porcelana, Gyl," Tatá sneers, good-naturedly.
("I'm not a porcelain doll, Gyl.")
"Gylmar, wait!" Lucy approaches him.
"Huh?"
The gothic girl holds the kitten's hand.
"Thanks."
...
"Don't mention this. I just did my duty."
"Well, we'll see you one day."
"Perhaps."
Gylmar waves and leaves hand in hand with his sister Tarsila.
"Elas entenderam bem meu inglês," she comments, excited.
("They understood my English well.")
"Sim, mas você precisa praticar mais," he warns.
("Yes, but you need to practice more.")
Lucy waves back and watches them until they disappear into the crowd.
Without saying a word, Lynn pulls Lucy and the two also return home hand in hand.
Lucy reflects on today's unusual episode:
"No one has ever bothered to defend me like that."
