on the island of dawn island. There lives a young boy. Who'll change the world...

as young 4 year old Luffy walks around grumpy. He talks out loud.
dumb old grandpa, thinking this is how marines in training work out.
I may want to be a marine someday, but I highly doubt the other marines train like this he said.
as young Luffy keeps on walking he then spots a chest on the ground.
as Luffy opens the chest he finds a strange looking fruit and a book inside.
confused Luffy did the smart thing and picked up the book to see if it talks about the fruit.
to his surprise, it does.
the said fruit is called a devil fruit, a powerful fruit that gives the user powers...
but takes away the user's ability to swim forever.
hmm. Grandpa told me about these so called fruits of power.
but I thought he was talking crazy said young Luffy.
the said devil fruit is called the ice ice fruit.
a Logia type devil fruit that grants the user the power to create, control, and turn into ice.
cool... sisisi, I just made a funny laughed Luffy.
so if I eat this devil fruit, I'll be an ice user...
do I really want this type of power?. Grandpa said he never needed one...
hmm said Luffy thinking to himself.

oh what the heck, I guess there's nothing wrong with becoming an ice man or anything said Luffy before taking a big bite and swallowing it.
damn that's gross. Now I know why grandpa chose not to get devil fruit powers he said.
just like that Luffy started to feel cold for a few minutes.
hmm. Looks like I'm an ice man now...
so now what, how do I activate it? Luffy asked.
as Luffy tries out his ice powers, unknown to him, a gray wolf is sneaking up on him from behind.
as Luffy tries to get his powers to work he hears growling behind him.
Luffy quickly turned around to see a gray wolf drooling with red eyes.
just like that the wolf jumps up in the air and aims to attack and eat Luffy alive.
ahhhhhh! Screamed Luffy in fear. As Luffy aims his hands at the wolf, he closes his eyes.

...
as Luffy just stands there and waits for the attack, the attack doesn't happen.
Luffy opens his eyes to see that the wolf is frozen solid in the air.
well I'll be. It worked he said amazed.
hmm. I guess it's time I head back to grandpa's camp site. Shouldn't keep him waiting for long Luffy said before running off to the camp site.
[3 years later]
as time went on Luffy eventually meet a crew of friendly pirates.
these pirates better known as the red haired pirates.
are very fun to hang out with.
[in Makino's bar]
the red haired pirates are drinking, dancing and or eating away.
Luffy is setting next to the captain of the crew.
his name... "red hair" Shanks.
sisisi. I tell ya Shanks. When I become a marine, I'll see to it that all evil people are brought to justice.
hahaha. There ya go again, thinking you've got what it takes to be a true marine laughed Shanks.
it's the truth. I'll be the best marine in the whole world said Luffy.
in that case. Do try not to die to early, ya hear Luffy? Asked Shanks with a calm smile.
ok said Luffy with a smile of his own.
as the pirates party some more. They soon stop.
because just like that the bars doors open up widely.
the one opening them. We're a group of bandits.
which of you weaklings is responsible for a few of my men getting arrested?! Yelled the bandit leader.
the pirates were silent.
just like that Luffy stands up and walks to the guy.
so your Higuma?. Funny, I'd thought you'd be taller said Luffy with a grin.
why you little! Yelled Higuma as he draws his sword to try and cut Luffy down.
[ice shell] said Luffy as he raised his hands at Higuma.
just like that Higuma was frozen solid in place.
as for the bandits, after seeing their boss get frozen, they ran for their lives.
great work Luffy. You got your first bounty to turn in said Shanks.
thanks. Now if you can excuse me. I have 8,000,000 Barrie's calling for me said Luffy as he drags the Higuma pop suckle away to the royal guards to collect his first bounty.
Just like that the red haired pirates left to set sail to the open ocean.
as for Luffy he waits for his grandfather to return.
