"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!" Boscha screamed at the healer. "When I was here last, my mom was doing great!"

The healer calmly stepped back as Tricia gently grabbed Boscha by the shoulders.

"Boscha, please calm down," the potionist said softly, then looked at Camila. "I think I'll take Boscha out for some fresh air."

Camila nodded and frowned as she saw how angry her charge was. Thankfully, Boscha was still in control enough that she didn't put up much of a fight as her mother led her out of the room. The Human mother sighed and looked at the healer.

"May I ask what happened?" she asked calmly.

"It was a complexation," the healer replied professionally. "It happens sometimes, unfortunately. But you have nothing to fear. Mrs. Trisight is in no immediate danger. Her recovery, however, will now be longer than we first estimated."

"I see," Camila said, nodding. "Thank you for your time."

The healer nodded and left as Camila went into Sabria's room. The human couldn't help but feel a little sad as she looked at the witch.

The last time she was here, Sabria was looking good; the cast on her leg was smaller a few weeks ago. Now, the cast was back to covering nearly her entire leg.

"Hey, Camila," Sabria greeted, smiling an empty smile. "I hear Boscha screaming. So I figured she learned what happened to me?"

Camila nodded as she walked up to the mother and sat beside her. The two mothers were silent for a few seconds as the human decided what to say.

"I didn't ask the healer," the human beast-keeper said slowly, "But how long will your stay be now?"

Sabria sighed and looked at her cast. "Tricia knows more, but they think I will need an additional five to six months of treatment." the witch sighed and looked at the human mother apologetically, "Sorry, looks like Boscha will be staying with you a little longer if she wants to."

Camila offered Sabria a smile, reached out, and grabbed the witch's hand.

"It's not a problem," the human said kindly. "Boscha hasn't been a problem if that's what you're thinking. She quite the sweet girl once you get to know her."

With a scream, Boscha threw a fireball at a tree, causing a small fire. She didn't even care about the burning tree; she ran past it and threw another fireball. Thankfully, she threw it into the air so it wouldn't hit anything.

Tricia watched as he daughter vented her rage as the older witch used a dowsing potion to put out the fire her daughter started. She watched as Boscha screamed again and began punching and kicking the air.

It didn't take long for Boscha to wear herself out, and she dropped to the ground panting. Tricia walked up to her daughter and took a seat beside her. The older witch leaned in close and wrapped an arm around her daughter.

For five minutes, the two just sat there in silence.

"I'm going to find and kill whoever did this to Mom," Tricia heard her daughter say vengefully.

Tricia frowned and looked at her daughter.

"Boscha, please, don't try to find whoever did this to your mom," the older witch asked calmly.

The younger witch growled as her anger spiked. Boscha pulled herself free and jumped to her feet.

"Why not?" Boscha asked angrily. "They hurt Mom, so we hurt them back! That's how things work here!"

Tricia sighed and stood up. She got close to Boscha and brought her into a hug. The three-eyed witchling didn't try to free herself but didn't melt into the hug.

"Then what?" Tricia asked her daughter softly. "You someone, then someone else hurts you. This cycle continued until no one's left standing."

Tricia released her daughter and looked at her daughter in the eyes. Boscha tried to look away, but her mom grabbed her chin and gently forced her to look at her.

"Boscha," Tricia said softly, "I'm not going to make you promise me that will you leave this matter alone. I know how useless that is with your drive. But, could you try to think about what you're doing before you do it?"

Boscha looked away with her eyes, and her face twisted with regret. Tricia frowned sadly and let her daughter go.

"Like I said, I'm not going to make you promise me anything," Tricia repeated sadly. "Just please think about what I ask you."

Boscha watched as her mother turned and walked away. The young witch looked to the ground, shame, and regret storming in her eyes.

"Sorry, mama," Boscha said shamefully, "But I have to do this so mom could rest easier."

She then hardened her resolve before going into the healing house to talk with her mothers and guardian.

We all know it won't be long before Boscha gets her lead, and we all know how that ends. Also, sorry if this wasn't the ship tease some thought it might be, but this was an important part of Boscha's arc. Next up, Amity dives into her ex-mother's origins.
