Hey all, I didn't think I would be making an update for this story, but I am because I felt like saying something. All right, let me get this out of the way and make this very clear:
THE STORY IS NOT ENDING.
The reason for this update is simple, I just feel like saying something about the rest of this story. For those that want a TLDR: I'm going to rewrite the story in the future with most of the main beats intact as a side project because I feel like I need to rework the story in many ways.
Now onto what I actually have to say. If you couldn't tell by the TLDR, I am planning a rewrite of Rising Melody for the future. The reason for this is incredibly simple, the start of this story is a mess. When I started this story 3 years ago (Jesus Christ, three years…), I had a much different idea in mind for the direction of this story and it was my first time writing something in a good while. Needless to say, I was writing with basically no plan aside from what I had in my head because that is how I worked at the time. There are some things from that time I want to flesh out, like it being an actual fakemon region, but I want to save that for the rewrite.
Moving on from that, I am finishing this version of the story. I have it mostly planned out, I know what I want to do, so I'm doing it. After this story is done, I will more than likely work on two projects to take a small break from writing in the world of Pokemon for at least a month or two (probably still will plan tho). As for what those stories may be, I can't really say for sure at the moment other than my take on a Solo/Rider style of Precure.
