RWBY: The Lost Kingdom

Chapter 3: The Tale of the Other Worlds

"Adrale-huh? What the heck is that?" Sun asked as he stared at Lisanna with pure confusion written all over his face.

"Ruby, Weiss, you guys good?" Yang asked her teammates when she realized the strange stares they were giving the girl.

The moment their names were pointed out, Lisanna looked in their direction and smiled brightly.

She looked beautiful when she did.

"Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee! It is wonderful to see you again!" Lisanna waved at them.

"You've met her before?" Blake raised an eyebrow.

"Yesterday at the mall," Weiss answered. "She was asking where Beacon was..."

"Is she a Huntress or something?" Nora asked.

Scarlet scratched his head. "She just said she was a princess didn't she?"

"A very pretty princess no doubt," Neptune stated as he winked at Lisanna.

"Stop," Sage said as he punched Neptune in the stomach and knocked all the air out of him.

"Yes, what he said is correct," Lisanna nodded. "I am a princess of the Kingdom of Adralenwan."

"What the heck is that?" Coco replied. "I have never heard of a place like that!"

"Sounds like a village," Ren responded.

Lisanna shook her head while giggling. "No silly! It's a kingdom! It's a grand kingdom that exists within Mount Zearigon! It is my home!"

"...I have never heard of either of those places," Cardin said while looking at Lisanna as if she had some screws loose.

"There are only four kingdoms in Remnant ma'am," Sky stated. "Maybe you are confused."

"Or maybe she's not," Velvet spoke up. "Maybe it's like...a new kingdom that the people are building up!"

"I think that would've been on the news if that were the case," Weiss replied.

Getting annoyed with this back and forth, Qrow Branwen stepped forward and addressed everyone.

"Sup kids," Qrow waved. "The name's Qrow Branwen, I'm a Huntsman. And I'm also Ruby and Yang's uncle."

"That dusty old man is your uncle?" Weiss asked Ruby as she pointed at Qrow.

Qrow's eye twitched in irritation but he held in the urge to give the Ice Queen a piece of his mind.

"Anyway...you kids are right. There is no Mount Zearigon or Kingdom of Adralenwan or anything like that on Remnant. Because it's not on Remnant..."

"W...what do you mean?" Pyrrha asked.

Qrow put a hand on Lisanna's shoulder and answered.

"This girl here...came from another world...somewhere other than Remnant..."

Silence fell on the party as they heard the revelation. And then it was broken in a matter of seconds as they all doubled over in laughter.

"Another world!? Are you friggin serious!?" Russel laughed aloud as he held his stomach.

"Are you drunk again Uncle Qrow!?" Yang said aloud as she wiped a tear from her eye.

Reaching the end of her patience, Glynda waved the Disciplinarian and slammed it against Ozpin's desk which reverberated into a loud sound that made everyone nearly deaf.

They all looked at Glynda who bore a face that meant no games.

"Yes, Qrow is drunk Miss Xiao Long but he is telling the truth. Lisanna Silverline is a princess from another world. A world where magic exists..."

"Y-you're joking...right?" Blake replied as she looked at Glynda.

"Does it look like I am joking to you, Miss Belladonna?"

"Now now Glynda," Ozpin spoke up for the first time. "Let us calm down for now-"

"No sir!" Glynda yelled. "These kids need to understand how important this is! The need to understand what we are about to reveal to them!"

"Lisanna will give the grand explanation," Ozpin nodded in the princess's direction. "Will you Lisanna?"

"Yes," Lisanna nodded back as she walked up to the five teams.

"I understand if you all do not believe me. This is because of the Grand Decree of the Two. Its law is that knowledge of the other worlds cannot simply be scattered around."

"The Grand Decree of the Two..." Fox repeated. "What does that mean?"

"I will show you..."

At that moment, Lisanna raised both her arms into the air and what transpired can only be described by the people of Remnant as a miracle.

Like a flood bursting from beneath her feet, a stream of darkness and stars flowed out engulfing the whole room. Team RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, CRDL, and SSSN were reasonably scared of the strange phenomenon. As the universe itself captured everything, the young soon-to-be Huntsmen felt a powerful pressure nearly pushing them to their knees.

They knew this was no work of any aura or semblance, this was magic...

The magic was so powerful that none of them felt like standing up straight. They felt like little children standing against a giant adult. Glynda and Qrow could feel the pressure too and it seemed as if they were using all of their strength not to be crushed under it. The only ones who seemed unphased were Lisanna and Ozpin.

As the room had become an image of the universe, Lisanna began to tell her tale in a mighty voice.

"Long ago...before time existed...there was the Dragon who flew in its dark waters..."

The stars dimmed into nothingness, the room had become a void. Then flying through the room was a mighty silver dragon bathed in a holy light.

"He wandered the universe for many ages and grew lonely. To accompany himself he split his very being into two. Creating two dragons: one of light and one of darkness..."

At that moment the silver dragon exploded and turned into two different dragons. One dragon was a light golden eastern dragon while the other was a deep purple western dragon.

"The God of Light and the God of Darkness..." Fox breathed, he could not really see it but it was like the pressure of the magic around him created the images in his head. It was no different than him seeing the scenes like everyone else was.

"The gods...?" Ruby said as she stared at the two dragons with awe.

Lisanna continued.

"These two deities created your world. Your world was the first of many, the Black Sun as it is called for your world is a star. But your star has dimmed and has been shattered. So the Ancients refer to your world as the Broken World."

"We are but a Remnant of what we once were..." Ozpin stated in a somber voice.

"But after your world, the gods did not stop. They created millions of more and they are all the stars that connect us. Each of the worlds is bridged by Limbo, and maybe someday come together as one grand and perfect world. My world is one of many, it is known as Feostriodin, the Realm of Magic...

"In my world, I am a descendant of a powerful family line of human rulers known as the Silverline and we rule the once great kingdom known as Adralenwan, the Kingdom of the Silver Sun. A grand kingdom that outdone the riches of many others."

The projection of the universe faded and the sight of a beautiful field with, a huge sea, and a mighty tall mountain took the entire room.

"The greatest treasure my people have ever attained was the Heart of the Zearigon which was the heart of the mountain."

A beautiful stone of unknown colors appeared in Lisanna's palm. Everyone looked at the jewel with awe.

"This stone holds great power that my father or mother had never seen before but it also attracted a power we could never defeat..."

At that moment, the beautiful scenery turned into a horrific one. The skies grew dark and screams of death and pain could be heard under the black flames that erupted across the land.

Ruby held onto her big sister Yang as Weiss and Blake cowered in fear. Jaune covered his head while Pyrrha and Ren looked around in concern. Nora and Velvet started to cry as their screams got louder and Fox covered his ears to block out the sound.

But the horror wasn't over as a creature of terror that the world of Remnant had never seen before appeared. It was a mighty black dragon, bigger than any Grimm that had seen, and a terrifying presence it manifested.

Coco and Yatsuhashi felt small and as if they would die by the mere sight of it. Cardin, Russel, Sky, and Dove tried to see if there was a way out but the projection was so powerful that the door that used to be behind them no longer existed.

"W-what is this!?" Sun shouted as he started to sweat profusely.

"This devilish being...is Nedar, the Dragon King. In desire for the Heart of the Zearigon, he has taken my home and slaughtered my people..."

The image of the dragon came into the mountain and black flames rose around the room. Even the heat began to feel real.

Neptune felt as if he could faint, but Sage held onto him as Scarlet hid behind him.

"Even to this day, he sleeps in the mountain, claiming it as his own...for years my people have been reduced to peasants, waiting for the day until we could claim back what was rightfully ours!...but no longer..."

The projection ended and the room returned to its natural form. But the fear still lingered in the hearts of the students.

"Thanks to the research of my older brother Logan who had passed away years ago, he had discovered a portal to other worlds. In that, I had come upon your world! I seek Huntsmen to accompany me to Mount Zearigon and kill the foul lizard Nedar! Claim back the heart and the kingdom that belonged to my people! And the Headmaster of this academy Ozpin has presented to me a fine Huntsman! Which is indeed all of you!"

Everyone looked at Lisanna and then pointed to themselves.

"U-us?" they all said.

"Yes! You are brave and powerful Huntsmen! Will you accompany me on my journey?"

At first, no one gave Lisanna a reply. They all just stared at each other in complete shock, fear, and confusion until Velvet raised her hand as if she were in class.

"Um...Miss Silverline?"

"Yes, Huntress?" Lisanna said with a very beautiful smile.

"Um...we aren't Huntsmen."

"...excuse me?"

"W-we...we aren't Huntsmen-not yet anyway!" Velvet stated while giggling nervously. "We are still students in this academy."

"...what?"

The smile on Lisanna's face faded and a harsh tone escaped her lips. She looked at the teams cruelly with a disgusted scowl and her hair waved in the wind as a dangerous powerful magic erupted from her body.

She then turned to Ozpin with the same glare, but the Headmaster was unphased.

"What is the meaning of this Ozpin!?" Lisanna shouted.

"These are the warriors that I have chosen to be your guardians," Ozpin stated. "If they choose to they will accompany you on your journey to defeat Nedar and-"

"I asked for HUNTSMEN!" Lisanna yelled even louder. Her fists slammed down on Ozpin's desk, shattering the glass (which Glynda fixed with her semblance). "I want full-fledged warriors, not little insects that can be killed by the nearest goblin!"

Ozpin nodded. "I assure you Lisanna these children are far from weak. I have seen all of them in action and they show great potential."

"But why them!? Isn't there any Huntsmen you can bestow on me!?"

"No, there isn't," Qrow answered for Ozpin. "The Great Decree of the Two is that the knowledge of the worlds cannot be shared until the end of time. Only the Keepers may know this knowledge. Ozpin is a Keeper and so was your father. Only a few people know of the existence of the other worlds and those are people who are only close to Ozpin. Anybody else would be an outsider and we can't trust them to keep it a secret."

"But you trust these children?!"

"They are my children," Ozpin stated in a tough voice. "And I chose the best that I know who can handle your world."

It was now Neptune's turn to raise his hand.

"P-professor Ozpin sir? We aren't from this academy and wouldn't Headmaster Lionheart-"

"Leo knows of this existence of the other worlds and I have already contacted him about letting you go," Ozpin replied quickly.

"Oh..." Team SSSN said as they held their head down.

"But what if they don't wish to go!?" Lisanna continued to argue. "Would you really send your children into the claws of death?"

"D-death?" Velvet echoed as she started to shiver in fear.

Lisanna turned around and looked at the poor girl with an evil grin.

"Yes, death. If you kids face Nedar you will surely be killed. He will burn you with his black flames that will never give a comfortable end. It will pierce your skin and make you feel the wrath of the sun itself. Even after you die, the pain will still follow you into the afterlife! That is the terrifying power of Nedar!"

Velvet started tearing up and hid behind Yatsuhashi.

"Don't you scare my students!" Glynda shouted. She was not a fan of Lisanna's new attitude.

"Why? I am simply telling her the truth! My world would devour weaklings like her and you intend on sending them? Ha! Obviously, you underestimate the power of Nedar! You must know that his power is far more terrifying than those feeble Grimm your warriors fight on a daily basis!"

"E-even more powerful than the Grimm...?" Pyrrha breathed as she remembered the intimidating image of the Dragon King.

"If you trust no Huntsmen outside your circle then send me the ones in! Like Qrow Branwen!" Lisanna pointed to Qrow.

Ozpin shook his head. "Qrow is doing important tasks that involve the safety of our world. We also have an enemy similar to Nedar that we are currently dealing with which is why none of the Huntsmen I trust are available. If they leave to go to your world then our world would be left defenseless for our greatest enemy! But these children are the future, they are Huntsman who is destined to make a change and I have confidence that they will beat the challenges of your world! However..."

Ozpin turned to the five teams.

"I will not force you to go. If you feel that you are not ready for such a mission then stay. Please go outside and talk amongst yourselves and then come back inside once you have all made a decision."

"And be quick!" Lisanna called out cruelly. "I will not wait for days!"

The five teams obeyed Ozpin and exited the room. Once they were in the clear, each one of them started letting out their emotions.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" Yang shouted. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"

"I...I don't know anymore..." Pyrrha said as she started to feel weak on her knees.

"Other worlds...and magic...?" Cardin massaged his head which was now hurting intensely. "This is just too much for some silly prank!"

"But this isn't a prank," Blake stated as she folded her arms. "That was magic. I don't know how I know but...I could just feel it was..."

Weiss nodded in agreement. "That power felt so...out of this world..."

"Not only that," Neptune continued. "But they're asking us to slay some dragon! T-that thing we saw in that weird magical projection thing!"

Sun started shaking his head intensely. "They want us to slay that!? How the heck can we do that!?"

"Either way..." Ren stepped into the middle of the group. "We have to make a decision..."

"Ren..." Nora said as she looked at him with fear in her eyes.

"We go...or we stay...what do we do?"

No one knew what to say, no one knew the right answer. Was there even a right answer? Compared to what they have fought and dealt with in the past...this was something far beyond that. A whole other world full of whole other dangers. Could kids who aren't fully Huntsmen handle that? Not to mention neither of them had magical abilities. This power of magic, they could feel it was greater than any of their Aura. Could they best the challenges of Mount Zearigon? Could they defeat Nedar?

"I..." Russel was the first to speak. "I...I don't think we should go!"

Everyone looked at him with solemn eyes.

"T-there's no way we can beat something like that! That's totally for Huntsmen or...I don't know something stronger than us!"

"I...I think you're right..."

Everyone turned to Weiss who held her head down.

"I...I don't see us beating anything like that at all! We shouldn't do this!"

"Weiss..." Ruby said.

"But Ozpin said no one else is available except for us!" Pyrrha spoke up. "I...I think we should do this! If no else can we have to try!"

"You want to throw your life away!?" Weiss screamed.

"We are training to be Huntsmen! It's our job to protect the peace-"

"The peace of our world!" Sky retorted. "I'm actually agreeing with Schnee on this! We shouldn't go!"

"Y-your right!" Nora yelled. "It's none of our business! We can't go!"

"Nora!" Pyrrha turned to her partner. Shocked by the words she just said.

Nora looked at Pyrrha with fearful eyes. "Pyrrha...you don't honestly think we can beat a monster like that do you? Just by that projection alone, I can just tell...there is no way we can!"

"Nora..." Jaune said.

"But...the people of Adralenwan..." Ren interjected. "They lost their home...just like me and you..."

"R-Ren..." Nora started to cry.

"I...I want to go! I want to help them! We SHOULD help them!" Ren declared.

Pyrrha nodded in agreement.

"Oh, what in the hell?" Dove said to himself as he fell to the ground and started panicking. "What did we just get ourselves into?"

"D-damn it...you're right!" Yang shouted. "We came to this academy to make a difference right?! We have to go!"

"But if we fail!?" Scarlet retorted.

"I-I ain't scared of no black lizard!" Sage yelled. "If we can fight Grimm we can fight that! Let's do this!"

Neptune shook his head. "That thing is no Grimm! It's not the same thing!"

"If it lives it dies..." Fox joined the argument. "There has to be a way to beat it..."

"But what if we aren't the ones who can do it?" Blake replied. "What if we're too weak like Lisanna said?"

"T-true!" Velvet agreed. "Then m-maybe we shouldn't do this! We're not strong enough to fight that type of force! We can't use magic!"

"Vel..." Coco placed a hand on Velvet's shoulder. "Calm down and let's-"

"I CAN'T CALM DOWN AFTER SEEING THAT!"

Everyone grew silent after Velvet's outburst, she portrayed exactly what they were all feeling. Fear. The fear of making the right decision, to take the responsibility of a selfless mission. A mission in a place that very may well be their grave...

"ENOUGH!"

The mighty yell of Yatsuhashi brought everyone's attention to him.

"It seems we cannot make a decision on our own...so let our leaders decide."

"Huh?" Ruby turned to Yatsuhashi in confusion.

"The leaders of our respected teams will make the decision of whether we go or not. Of course, if you choose not to follow your leader then stay behind, but know this Coco."

Yatsuhashi turned to Coco and bowed his head.

"I will follow you no matter what decision you make. Not just because you are my leader, but because you are also my dearest friend. Each of us has been through hell and back, I trust your judgment..."

"Y-Yatsuhashi..." Coco was so touched by her teammates' words that she could nearly cry.

"The choice is yours. Come everyone, let's head back into Ozpin's office to give them space..."

Yatsuhashi was the first to leave, and then everyone slowly followed. The last ones out the door were Velvet and Yang. Both of them stare at their respective leaders giving them eyes hoping that they think carefully about their choices. Once they were gone, it was only the leaders that stood behind the door.

Ruby Rose, Jaune Arc, Coco Adel, Cardin Winchester, and Sun Wukong.

They were the only ones who didn't speak their mind during the argument...but now was their time to speak out.

Sun raised his hand to indicate that he was going first.

"I...don't think we should do this..." Sun said immediately. "This is way bigger than any of us could handle. Magic? Dragons? No way in hell! I don't see us coming out victorious..."

"I agree..." Coco nodded. "This is too much...barely anyone is up for it and we are just students...Ozpin made a mistake..."

"I don't think he did..."

The leaders all now turned to Jaune.

The blonde kid was surprised by the sudden attention on him so he cleared his throat and continued.

"I'm...I'm..." Jaune sighed. "I'm not strong like the rest of you. I may be behind in almost everything there is when it comes to being a Huntsman...but...I came to this academy to try and do my very best! To be the best Huntsman I can be!"

Jaune started to get louder as confidence built up in him.

"And Huntsmen are meant to keep the peace! No matter where it is or no matter who our enemy is! I believe this is our chance to do something amazing! Saving a whole kingdom and its people? We should do this!"

"Arc..." Coco started. "I get where you're coming from but-"

"I agree with Jaune."

Now the attention was on Cardin who nodded at Jaune with approval.

"I believe we should do this as well..."

"Cardin..." Jaune smiled.

"Really?" Coco folded her arms. "You of all people wanna go?"

"I don't really want to go but I feel like it's a sense of duty. We need to go. I feel like if I abandon this mission I will regret it for the rest of my life! However, I'm not gonna force any of my teammates to come with me. If they choose to stay, that's fine."

"Then it's two on two...we have one more leader who hasn't made a decision..."

All eyes were now on Ruby, who was starting to look extremely pale from the pressure.

"Ruby..." Sun said. "What do you think?"

"It's all up to you Petals," Cardin nodded.

Jaune smiled. "No matter what decision you make, we are here for you..."

"Well, Rose?" Coco asked as she tapped on her foot impatiently. "What's it gonna be?"

This was definitely one of the hardest decisions Ruby had ever had to make. What could she say? The fear of what she saw from Lisanna's presentation still lingered in her head and the threats she made were clear and serious.

This was no playground. The world of Feostriodin was more dangerous than Remnant. Could they survive?

But then...it was Ruby remembered.

The dream she had the day before, with the strange woman and about the people...

"The people of Adralenwan..." Ruby said to herself.

"What will you do, Huntress of the Blood Rose? The Silver Demon? Will you fight the King of Darkness…"

Those words echoed in Ruby's head and now it came full circle.

She knew what she had to do.

Ruby looked up at everyone and opened her mouth.

"Are they almost done?" Russel whined.

"Don't rush them!" Pyrrha scolded. "This is an important decision and they need to take their time!"

"It's pretty obvious what they will choose."

The young students turned to Lisanna who had a cocky smile on her face. They returned with a scowl on each.

Ozpin sighed. "Whatever decision they make...I will not be upset."

At that moment, the doors opened revealing the five leaders. Ruby was the first to enter the room with everybody else close behind.

They stopped in front of Ozpin's desk with Ozpin himself, Qrow, Glynda, and Lisanna, waiting for an answer.

Ruby closed her eyes and took a deep breath before speaking.

"We have all decided...to accept Lisanna's mission and become her guardians for her journey to Mount Zearigon and defeat Nedar!"

Multiple reactions happened at the same time. The students behind had mixed emotions of pleasure and discomfort while Ozpin, Qrow, and Glynda nodded in approval with reassuring smiles. The one reaction that was the worst was Lisanna herself who gritted her teeth.

The five leaders then turned to their teammates.

"However," Jaune spoke now. "We won't force any of you to go. But we will go on this mission, even if it's just the five of us leaders..."

"So make your decision now!" Cardin roared. "Will you follow or will you not? There is no shame in either!"

No one responded immediately, but after a minute of awkward silence, three students left the group and approached the leaders.

These three were Yang, Pyrrha, and Yatsuhashi.

Pyrrha came up to Jaune and put both her hands on his shoulders.

She giggled. "I don't think I've ever seen you this serious, Jaune. I won't abandon you or any of my friends. I will journey with you to the unknown."

"Pyrrha..." Jaune replied with a flushed face.

Yatsuhashi walked up to Coco and bowed his head.

"I told you that I would follow you wherever you go. As my leader and as my dearest friend..."

Coco chuckled. "Stop bowing to me like I'm some old karate master! You big lug!"

Yang came up to Ruby and captured her in a big hug.

"Agh! Yang!" Ruby yelled while being crushed to death by Yang's strength.

"You're my sister. I'm sure as hell not letting you go into some other world and let you fight some crazy demon dragon by yourself! You got a dragon of a sister right here! And she's gonna help you kick some ass!"

Ruby patted the back of Yang's back.

"Noted. Thanks, Yang..."

The next people to come up were the remaining members of Team SSSN.

"So..." Neptune said. "You really wanna do this?"

"Hell no!" Sun replied. "But I'm doing it anyway! You guys wanna come?"

"You know damn well I'm coming!" Sage yelled as he cracked his knuckles.

"It will be scary, but fun at the same time, right? This is a whole new world and I'm kinda down for this adventure!" Scarlet smiled.

Neptune chuckled. "I'm sure as hell not leaving my comrades to die in some unknown world. And plus there may be some cute ladies there~!"

The next people to come up were Ren and Nora.

"Guys..." Jaune started but Ren stopped him.

"I devoted myself to helping those in need. The people of Adralenwan are suffering and I want to help them as much as I possibly can!"

Nora nodded. "I'm scared but...I'll go wherever you guys go!"

Right after them were Fox and Velvet.

Fox smiled. "To the unknown...truly exciting..."

Velvet shook her head. "A-are you sure you wanna do this? You sure you don't wanna stay?"

Coco nodded. "We may not be Huntsmen yet, but we gotta start acting like some sooner or later. If you're not up to it Velvet then don't come."

Velvet sighed. "I'm not just going to stay while you guys go! I'm part of Team CFVY too, so I will be coming!"

After them, the remainder of Team CRDL came up too.

"This is so freakin' stupid," Russel complained.

"You can back out if you want," Cardin replied.

"Heck no! You're my pal!" Russel shouted while giving his big leader a playful punch to the stomach. "I ain't abandoning you like I did before in the Forever Fall Forest! Let's do this shit!"

"Count me in if you're all going!" Sky nodded but his face showed extreme fright.

"Better be some good food there," Dove said to himself.

Then finally there was Weiss and Blake who came up to Ruby and Yang.

Blake chuckled. "I kinda had a feeling you would make this choice. I'm not upset though."

"What will you do?" Ruby asked.

"Team RWBY sticks together. I'm coming," Blake answered.

Weiss scoffed. "You really are a dolt Ruby!"

Ruby giggled. "Sorry Weiss..."

"Well, someone's gotta make sure you don't trip over yourself in this new world! Count me in!"

And that was that. Team RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, CRDL, and SSSN have now become Lisanna's company.

"Very well done," Ozpin nodded as he smiled warmly.

Lisanna snarled but then calmed down immediately.

"Fine...but if any of you slow me down on my journey I will be quick to abandon you. Here."

Appearing out of her hand was a brown sheet of paper written in beautiful cursive letters.

"What's this?" Cardin asked as different colored pens appeared on everyone's hands.

"Contracts," Lisanna answered. "That you will be my guardians and will do whatever I say. Protect me from all dangers and help me reclaim my kingdom. Sign here so that I know that you are with me. I also have promises for funeral arrangements if wanted."

"F-funeral arrangements?" Velvet gulped.

"Well then, sign."

With a bit of hesitation, everyone sighed Lisanna's contract and the sheet of paper that now bore all their signatures disappeared into thin air.

Ozpin stood up from his chair and spoke.

"You will leave for Feostriodin the day after tomorrow. There are things you must know about this world. Dust, Aura, Grimm, and Faunus do not exist in this world. Magic is the soulbase of power which is known as Mana. Different from Aura it does not have a limit, but it doesn't mean it cannot be beaten. I believe in you all and Lisanna will also fight alongside you as well if need be, but your main purpose is to protect and help her. Understood?"

"Yes sir!" Everyone responded.

"Good, now go. Return to your dorms. And Lisanna, we will acquire sleeping arrangements for you as well."

"You better," Lisanna scowled as she disappeared to the back of the office.

"She was so nice before," Weiss scoffed. "What a bitch."

As the five teams were leaving the office, Glynda came rushing behind them with a concerned look on her face.

"Miss Goodwitch?" Coco said as she saw the look in Glynda's eyes. It was...sadness.

Glynda held her head down. "I'm sorry we placed you all with such a burden. I wish one of us could go but...we must protect our world as well. I can't really give you any words of comfort but I can say please enjoy the time you have. Enjoy tomorrow as if it were your last day in this world...for it might very well be..."

A single tear escaped Glynda's eye and rolled down her cheek.

"I know I am tough on you all, but know that I care for each and every one of you. I can only pray that a miracle would befall you and that maybe all of you will come back alive..."

With that, Glynda returned to Ozpin's office leaving the five teams with somber feelings within their hearts.

"Did...did we make the right decision...?" Nora said aloud to the whole group.

No one could give her an answer.
