Author's Note:
Reviews and Comments: To Zarathos Morgenstern: Ha, yes I was able to make Blaise settle down. Thank you very much for enjoying Blaise's story. Thank you! To MrsHJSnape: Thank you for saying it was "an okay chapter." We will of course hear from other characters as well but as I said, I wrote this over two years ago and thought Blaise deserved his own epilogue. Thank you. To scrappy8: Thank you! I'm happy to know I surprised you with having him fall for Gabrielle. Thank you! To Quill will 1981: Thank you! It has been fun to write these mini stories in the epilogues. Thank you! To todivya: Thank you! We will catch up with Sirius soon. Thank you! To akshutalankar: Thank you! I think Blaise and Gabrielle just work as well. He will definitely have grey hair in the future trying to save his daughters from men just like his past self lol. Thank you! To alix33: Theo and Bas definitely thought their snogging wasn't enough despite Blaise's thoughts lol. Thanks for liking the intervention for Blaise form his friends. Thank you! To Tmr_Potterhead250: Thank you! It's interesting that you guessed Gabrielle right away. I love showing Blaise being completely gentle with her and not being under her spell despite feeling the allure, much like Bill was with Fleur. Blaise's friends definitely know him better than he knows himself and I loved having them come up and give him the kick he needed. Colin is wise and having him and Blaise talk was an important moment for both of them. Thanks for loving seeing Bellarosa and Joseph happy together as well. Thank you very much!
To AQuickRead91: Thank you! Taking a break is my main plan. Thank you. To Yeyel27: Happy to know I surprised you with Gabrielle. I do think Blaise getting the family he deserves was just perfect. Thank you! To marauders_mowopapr: I'm glad you guessed Gabrielle once I started to describe her. I loved showing her similarities to her sister, but yes, showing her differences. No, Blaise's epilogue was pretty tame lol. Thank you. To MABK_Potter_Fan: I'm happy to know I could make you love this epilogue even though you don't love Blaise, so thank you! It was my first epilogue but originally it was just something I wrote and had no idea how to incorporate it into ASC. I put it aside and ended up deciding to add it into the epilogues. Thank you very much! As Ao3 says, this is chapter 37 of 41 so we're almost finished. Thank you. To Mrs_Norway: Thank you for finding this story super sweet. I love Blaise falling head over heels for Fleur's sister. He was afraid of finding love and marriage because of his mum and Gabrielle is the perfect woman to knock him on his arse. Thank you! To 19HuffleClaws: Thank you for finding Blaise's little story so lovely. Ha, happy to know I've made you find the word fanny sexy after this. You're welcome. Thank you!
To nanaeleanor: Thank you! I agree, his type is always the kind who falls the hardest which is why it was so fun to write! Thank you! To Dtjordan: Thank you for finding Blaise's tale so sweet and wholesome and yes, definitely a lot less perilous lol. Thank you! To katelyn453: Yes, Blaise got his own happily ever after. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you! To Sets: Thank you! I don't remember dropping a hint about them, but it's entirely possible I did! I'm glad you enjoyed Blaise and Gabrielle's story! Thank you! To EnigmaticEmperor: Yes, Gabrielle! I loved how the tables turned on Blaise and yes, he is very unwilling to accept he's in love. I wanted to show why they were both insecure about taking that step and yes, having Blaise and his mum talk was very important. He needed to hear it from her. Happy to make you fall in love with couples you never thought of before. Yes, Blaise will definitely be quite protective over his girls lol. Thank you! To Finnspa23: Thank you! Happy to surprise you with Blaise's story. Thank you! To BigMackie: Thank you for thinking that Blaise and Gabrielle are a perfect match, I think so too! Thank you! To EbonyRivers: I love knowing you weren't expecting to care for Blaise and ended up being completely engrossed. Thank you! I don't believe every person needs a romantic relationship to be happy or fulfilled either, but I loved having Blaise fall. Thank you! To bandhoez9194: Thank you for loving Blaise and Gabrielle! He is a dad now and thank you so much for loving his story.
To Guest: Thank you! Yes, Harry and Ginny are definitely going to look great as they age, without question. They take care of themselves and yes, the orgasms and moisturizing definitely help! Haha. Thank you! To Jimbo: Thank you for trying to catch up! I'm happy to know you enjoyed the Hinny storyline with their six children. We will see some of Remus and Tonks for sure — in this chapter and again later. Thank you very much! To Nuno Neves: Thank you! Zabini did deserve to try to find some true love and having it be Gabrielle was just perfect in my world. Having Blaise fall for her personality and not her Veela effect was important and Gabrielle definitely noticed the difference. It made him stand out in more ways than just the physical and sexual attraction. Thank you very much!

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN:
Kismet Trilogy Epilogues:
The One With Some Other Epilogues
August 2015…
Sirius looked up from where he was reading the paper in the sunroom when he heard the front door close. Their pet kneazle, who was as black as night with a light spots, was curled up on Sirius' lap. Her name was Isis after the Egyptian goddess of magic and wisdom. Zee had come home with the kitten ten years ago and despite Sirius' insistence that he did not like cats of any kind, he had bonded with Isis more than he was wiling to admit. The bloody kneazle was always sitting with him and following him around and he spoiled her rotten (not that he'd admit it of course). He scratched Isis absently while she purred and he watched his eighteen-year-old-daughter take a seat in one of the armchairs across from him, crossing her legs.
She was beautiful, Sirius thought. She looked so much like Zee and yet had a lot of Black in her. Her dark brown hair was the same wild curls as her mother, but she had his grey eyes. She'd unfortunately inherited her mother's height which she complained about often, but she'd also inherited her mother's curves in a leaner fashion and her love of high heels. Sometimes Sirius found himself just watching her, pride bubbling up inside of him that he'd somehow had a hand in creating her.
"What's up, baby girl?" Sirius asked, lowering his newspaper to meet her grey eyes. "Where's your brother?"
"Leo took Aydin out for a motorcycle ride."
That was another thing. His son was not only a motorcycle enthusiast just like him, but a lover of animals like his mother and was madly in love with one Aydin Weasley.
"And?"
Mina sighed and fiddled with the large silver hoop in her ear. "Leo's moving away in a few weeks."
Sirius gave his daughter a sympathetic look. He was trying not to think about that himself. Not only was Leo madly in love with Aydin, but he had applied for an internship with a magizoologist healer in the Village of Blue Fire and as of September first would be moving to Romania with Aydin Weasley for at least the next two years. Sirius was trying not to think about it. He was going to miss him more than he could express and he couldn't imagine how his twin sister was handling it.
"You can mirror call him every day."
"It won't be the same," Mina said, tears in her eyes as Padfoot trotted over to lay his head on her knee. Mina reached down to scratch the dog behind the ears.
"No, it won't be," Sirius agreed. "But you want to stay here. You start your new job in September as a teacher at Little Hogwarts."
Little Hogwarts was a new school that had been created by the Department of Magical Education ten years ago. After much discussion about magical education and what students learn when they go, they decided to create a primary school for children ages five to eleven to help students prepare for Hogwarts and to give parents a break from having to home school or send them off to Muggle school until they reached the age of eleven. It had been created by a classmate of Ginny's named Maisie Wendall who was now the Headmistress. The school was located in Ludgershall Castle, a ruined 12th-century fortified royal residence in Ludgershall, Wiltshire. The Ministry of Magic hired magi-architects to rebuild it so while it looked like ruins to Muggles, magical beings entered a small three story castle that is filled with classrooms. After a decade, the school had fourteen teachers and Mina had been hired to teach one of the groups of the first years (ages five and six) starting in September. The baby boom after the war definitely called for more teachers. Sirius knew that she was going to be great at it as she had a lot of patience.
"I know," Mina said. "And I don't want to leave Grayson."
Sirius tried not to grimace at that. Grayson Goyle was a very nice young man, Sirius would admit to that. He was a year younger than his daughter and heading into his seventh year at Hogwarts this year, but Mina was head over heels for him. Grayson planned on writing his TOOLBOX examinations when he finished school and wanted to work at his father's construction company, Goyle and Sons and Construction. The man was built like a solid wall of muscle and was almost twenty-eight centimetres taller than his tiny daughter who barely topped one hundred and fifty-seven centimetres. He had short black hair and a full beard (that he'd had since he was fifteen) along with bright blue eyes and was probably the kindest man that Sirius had ever met until he realized that he was dating his only daughter.
"Don't you think that you're overreacting, Sirius?" Zee asked him after he met Grayson for the first time and then ranted about him in private to his wife later.
"No," Sirius said. "He's not good enough for her."
"Siri, are you ever going to find anyone good enough for her?"
"That's not the point," Sirius insisted, waving her off. "She's my daughter and I don't like him."
"It's interesting that you celebrated sex with Harry and with Leo and yet even the thought of your daughter snogging a boy sends you through the roof," Zee teased.
"I know it's a double standard and all that, I'm aware," Sirius growled. "Stop pointing it out."
Zee chuckled and climbed into her husband's lap. "She loves him, Sirius."
"She's seventeen, what does she know?"
"What did Harry and Ginny know?"
"They were different."
"Mina knows her own heart, Sirius," Zee began. "Leo likes him. They're best friends."
Sirius scoffed. Leo and Grayson had become friends after meeting in the duelling club and despite being in separate houses had grown close when Leo had been in fifth year.
"That's worse! It's like breaking a code or something."
"Aydin is Mina's best friend."
"Zee, stop pointing out all the ways that I'm wrong," Sirius demanded.
She grinned, sliding her fingers through his hair. "But it's so fun."
"When did they grow up?"
"Too fast," Zee agreed, pecking his lips. "But they did."
Sirius knew his wife was right and now looking over at his gorgeous and intelligent daughter, he couldn't be more proud of her. "Leo will be home for Christmas."
Mina nodded, but didn't say anything.
They both looked up when Zee came in. She pecked Mina on the cheek and then sat sideways in Sirius' lap.
"Today was a madhouse. I need a foot rub."
Mina chuckled. "Daddy's the best. He'll do it."
Sirius made a face at his daughter before he kissed his wife's cheek. "Yes, I will."
"Grayson's coming over for dinner tonight," Mina said. "He should be here soon."
"All right, darling," Zee said. "I don't even know what we have. We'll have to figure out what to make. You can help."
Mina hopped to her feet to head into the kitchen and Zee turned to kiss Sirius a bit more deeply.
"Stop scowling whenever she says Grayson's name."
"I don't scowl," he insisted.
"You do," Zee said, kissing him again. "They've been dating for almost two years and she'd madly in love with him and he with her. When they broke up after her birthday she was devastated."
"He broke her heart."
"No, they had a fight," Zee corrected. "They took two months apart and realized that they are madly in love. He's it for her, Sirius."
"Don't say that, she's still a baby."
Zee smiled. "Mina will always be our baby and she's madly in love with Grayson Goyle. Now get up, you can help us cook."
"So demanding," Sirius whined, but he stood up and followed his wife and daughter to the kitchen.
A few hours later, not only had Grayson come over, but Leo had also invited Aydin. They were eating Zee's to-die-for chocolate chip biscuit cake for dessert when Mina cleared her throat.
"Well, since almost everyone is here, I have something to say. Well, we have something to say," she clarified, reaching for Grayson's hand. Her dark brown eyes met Sirius' as she spoke. "We're getting married."
Sirius' mouth dropped open as Zee let out a squeal of happiness from next to him.
"Married!" Zee exclaimed, jumping to her feet to hug her daughter. "Oh, Mina, that's wonderful news!"
Mina held out her hand to show her mother the ring and Zee squealed again. Sirius' eyes fell on the large pear-shaped diamond on a gold band and swallowed. His daughter was wearing an engagement ring.
"Daddy?"
Sirius stared at his daughter, tears welling up in his eyes. "Baby girl I… of course I'm happy, I'm just… when did you grow up?"
Mina jumped up to her feet and threw her arms around Sirius. "I'm going to be nineteen in December, Daddy."
"I know," Sirius said, kissing her cheek before he turned to look at Grayson. "You take care of her."
"I promise, Sir," Grayson said, his cheeks heating. "I know I still have one year of Hogwarts left, but I love her."
Sirius nodded. Grayson was going to be eighteen in September and he knew that he loved his daughter, he saw it in the way he looked at her, spoke of her, but it was still a shock to the system to know that his daughter was engaged. Bloody hell, even Harry had waited until Ginny finished Hogwarts before proposing.
Leo slapped his hand on Grayson's shoulder with a grin. "I told you she'd say yes, mate."
"You knew!" Mina exclaimed, turning on her twin.
"Duh! Who do you think helped this tosser pick out your ring?"
Mina beamed and hugged her brother tight. "Don't move to Romania!"
Leo chuckled and hugged her back. "You'll be happy to be rid of me."
"Only a little," Mina admitted. "But you're taking Aydin with you so it will be a lot sooner that I'll miss you because I won't even had her to distract me."
Aydin laughed and hugged her friend tightly. "We'll talk all the time and you can keep us appraised of your wedding plans. I call dibs on Maid of Honour!"
"Like I'd ask anyone else," Mina said with a laugh.
"Wedding plans," Sirius whispered, paling as he realized her words.
His daughter was making plans to get married. He wasn't so sure that he was ready for that.
Zee clapped her hands together. "I have a hundred ideas! Grayson, have you told your parents yet? We'll need to coordinate."
Mina rolled her eyes. "I told you that she was going to go absolutely mental."
"Not mental," Zee corrected. "I helped Harry and Ginny throw a fabulous wedding."
"Yeah, our wedding isn't going to be that big," Mina said. "But you can help, Mama, promise. And no, we're going to tell Grayson's parents tomorrow night."
When Mina hugged her, Zee had tears rolling down her cheeks and Sirius shook Grayson's hand before pulling the big man close for a hug.
"Bloody hell, I can't believe our daughter's getting married," he whispered after Zee hugged Grayson and pecked his cheek.
Leo, his wild dark brown curls a little unruly on his head, nudged Sirius' shoulder. "Don't worry, Dad. Grayson's the best. You couldn't ask for anyone better."
As Sirius looked into his son's brown eyes, the same shade as his mother's, his heart swelled. "Yeah, he is. Now, when can we tell Harry and Uncle Moony?"
Mina laughed. "Grayson and I actually popped over to Harry and Ginny's this afternoon and broke the news since they weren't coming to dinner tonight. Harry even went home for lunch so that I could talk to him."
"Wait, you told Harry before me?" Zee demanded. "And that little sneak never said a word when I saw him on my way home from work!"
Mina grinned. "Big brothers are good at keeping secrets, Mama."
Sirius laughed and tugged his wife close. "You can yell at our eldest later."
"Yes, yell at Harry later, Mama," Leo said with a grin. "You can tell Mina all of the stuff that you want at her wedding."
"Nothing too elaborate, Mama," Mina began.
Zee grinned. "You're my little girl. I have some ideas…"
Leo leaned over to Sirius and lowered his voice. "Wanna bet she says the same thing to me when it's my turn?"
Sirius laughed and draped an arm over his son's shoulder. "My little Leo, just you wait until it's your turn."
When Zee's bright eyes met his in excitement from across the room as she talked weddings, Sirius was forever grateful that he was given the last sixteen years with his family. With that in mind, he pressed his lips to his fingers and held them up over his head as he whispered, "Thank you, Minnie."
And he knew that she was smiling down at him when he said it.

July 2019…
Remus was going through the checklist of new students who would be coming to Hogwarts as first years in September, double checking that all of the proper letters had gone out accordingly when his office door flew open. He looked up in surprise before his face broke out into a smile at the sight of his twenty-one-year-old son racing inside, clutching a parcel to his chest.
Teddy's hair was still a deep turquoise blue which seemed to be his favourite shade, but he had a few days' worth of blondish-brown stubble on his face with Remus' nose and whisky coloured eyes and Tonks' smart mouth. Every time he looked at him, Remus couldn't help but think it was amazing to him that his little boy was getting married next June.
"Dad! You'll never guess what came today!" Teddy exclaimed, hopping up the last step to Remus' desk and rushing around the side to hop up onto the desk next to his father's chair.
"I don't know," Remus said. "Something about the wedding."
Teddy scoffed. "Please, this is way bigger than the wedding!"
Remus chuckled. "Don't let Victoire hear you say that."
Teddy, still clutching the parcel to his chest, carefully pulled it away from his chest and passed the box to Remus. "It's real, Dad."
Remus looked inside the box and his eyes widened when he realized what it was. He pulled out one of the hardcover copies of his son's first published novel. There was a man's shadow on the front standing under the full moon and a wolf's shadow on the other side of the moon. Across the top in gold script it read Clan of the Wolf and in white block letters across the bottom it said Edward R Lupin.
"Teddy…"
Teddy let out a squeak of excitement as he hopped off the desk. "I have the actual book, Dad! In fucking print! I'm a writer!"
"You've always been a writer," Remus corrected. "Now you're just published. Fuck, I'm so bloody proud of you!"
He stood up to hug his son close and Teddy grinned. "One copy's for you, Dad. I already signed it. But open it up, check it out."
Remus carefully opened the book looking at the publication date and page before he reached the dedication page:
To Dad,
For always filling my head with stories and making me believe that anything's possible.
Tears welled up in Remus' eyes. "Ted…"
Teddy shrugged as if it was nothing. "Come on, Dad, I never could have done it without your support."
"I don't believe that for one second, but you most definitely have it. This is the best book I have ever read in my entire life."
Teddy rolled his eyes. "Well, I wouldn't go that far."
"No, it is," Remus insisted. "I still think you could have written about something other than a man being bitten by a werewolf, but it's wonderful. You made it your own."
"I had lots of help. All those stories you told me growing up about what you and Uncle Sirius got up to with Uncle Harry's dad… I wanted to write about that kind of friendship. These guys might not be your Marauders, but parts of them are in there," Teddy explained.
"I know. I saw it," Remus said. "It's an incredible book, Teddy. I can't wait to read the sequel."
Teddy laughed. "Well, I'm still working on that one, but I do have a new chapter for you to read for me."
"Absolutely. It will give me something to read while your mum works late tonight."
Teddy grinned. "Or you could come out for a drink with me and Uncle Harry so I can give him his book?"
"No," Remus said. "You enjoy that moment with your godfather. I'm going to hunker down and read my new chapter."
Teddy laughed. "Deal. And Dad? Don't tell Mum yet. I'm going to bug her at work now to share the news."
Remus watched his son run out of the headmaster's office with a huge grin and he couldn't believe that his son was a published author. Teddy had always loved stories and had begun writing them when he was seven or eight, wanting to share them with Remus. Remus had always encouraged him and gave him ideas to make the stories more drawn out, but he'd never imagined that his son could have the gift to write the amazing thousand page book he had.
Clan of the Wolf was a book that drew you in from the beginning. It was the story of a man named Romulus who was viciously attacked and bitten by a werewolf on his seventeenth birthday. The book had adventure, horror, mystery, and surprisingly some steamy romance. Romulus had four best friends: A shape-shifting stag named Jake, the astronomer who raised and trained dogs named Star, the librarian named Calla, and the woman Romulus falls for who is a trained Hit Witch named Medea. Remus couldn't wait to find out where the second book was going, especially because his son had ended his first book on a bloody cliffhanger!
Remus looked at the most recent photo on his desk which had been taken at Leo and Aydin's wedding only last month. Tonks was standing next to him with a big smile looking gorgeous in her bright purple dress and Teddy and Victoire were on the other side of him, their arms wrapped around each other. The photo next to that one was one of Sirius, Harry, and Remus from the wedding with Teddy photobombing them from the back.
Remus sometimes wondered where the time had gone. Now, he was fifty-nine years old. Harry and Ginny had given him six incredible grandchildren who still called him Moopa much to his dismay (he wasn't admitting that it had rather grown on him) and now his son was a published author who was marrying the woman of his dreams next June. He'd been headmaster of Hogwarts for almost twenty years and Tonks was still an Auror at the Ministry, though she didn't work in the field as much anymore now that she was Head Auror Liaison of the departments and had been for the last five years.
When he got home that evening, he devoured the chapter in record time before he flipped it open and started all over again, amazed not for the first time at his son's talent. When his wife came home, she held up her copy of Teddy's book, a huge grin on her face.
"Teddy wrote a fucking book!"
Remus laughed. "I know!"
"I read the dedication," Tonks said, her face softening. "He adores you, Rem."
"I adore him right back. How was work?"
"Nothing special," Tonks said. "It was so much better when my boy arrived with this! Then I had to drag him around the office and tell every single person that my son was a published author."
"Bet he loved that."
"He definitely did," Tonks said in a tone that told Remus that Teddy had been embarrassed by it.
Remus stood up from his spot on the sofa and pushed his reading glasses up into his hair before he bent to kiss her. "Just think in another few years he'll be a published author of two books and maybe even have given us another grandchild."
"I admit, I'm a little sad that Harry and Ginny are done having kids. I miss babies, but Teddy and Victoire will definitely have some in the next few years so that's good," Tonks said. "Especially because Harry is like my little brother so his kids should call me auntie."
"But they don't, Mooma," Remus teased. "You're stuck with me."
Tonks wrapped her arms around his waist, letting her hands slide down to cup his arse. "Oh, help, I'm stuck with Professor Sexy, someone save me."
"Minx," Remus said, leaning in to nip at her bottom lip.
Tonks pulled her handcuffs out of her back pocket with a grin. "Want to tie me up, Professor?"
Remus snatched the cuffs from her hand and she squealed, making a run for the bedroom. He stalked after her and found her stripping in front of their bed so he stood there and just watched her.
"Stop staring at me and come touch me instead," Tonks insisted.
"You're beautiful, Nymphadora."
Her eyes softened. "Come here. We need to celebrate how awesome our kid is by shagging each other brainless."
"Oh, is that what we need to do?"
She winked and moved to stand in front of him, unzipping his trousers. "And if you do a good job, I'll pull out the strap on."
Her hand slid into his trousers to grip him and he captured her mouth for a long kiss that left both of them breathless before he walked her backwards and tossed her on the bed. Then he grabbed her hands and handcuffed her to the headboard.
Tonks grinned. "Going to do naughty things to me, Remus?"
"No," he said, admiring her lean naked form. "I think I'm going to feast."
Then he lowered himself to the bed and shimmied down to settle between her thighs. His whisky eyes met her grey ones half a second before he plunged his tongue into her and he thought his life was everything he'd never dared to dream of and more.

18th December 2019….
Ginny was positive that this December seemed so much more stressful than all of the others. Between working on her articles for the magazine she helped create five years ago, getting ready for the holiday, and being a full-time parent to six children, three of which were still not in Hogwarts — life was stressful. Chasing the Quaffle, the magazine she had founded in 2014, came out bi-weekly. It was a magazine that listed every team's players, matches, scores, and stats to interviews with veterans, up and coming stars, and updates on the Quidditch League Awards from who had the potential to be nominated and more.
It had started out as a fun idea when she originally joined Lee Jordan on his hit wireless show after her retirement as a re-occurring guess star. Bludger This! was where Lee live broadcasted matches, spoke to coaches and players, and interviewed Quidditch players from all over the world. He was honest (sometimes brutally), but he was very well-respected in his field and had been doing his own broadcast since 2004.
Ginny had four other people working for the magazine now including Daire Donovan who had once worked with her on the Hogwarts Herald, Demelza Robbins and Jack Wolf who had both played with her on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and her personal assistant, Kai Tommasi, who had just finished Hogwarts a few months ago. But she was going to need to hire more by the summer because as of right now with Christmas around the corner, she was struggling to get the last issue of the year out on time. That wasn't even including her need to finish up her holiday shopping and get things organized for the big holiday get together that she and Harry were hosting this year.
She called for Everett to get his butt moving when she turned around and found him standing in the shop with his nose buried in a book. Ella took the book from him and held it upside down.
"Ev, this is so boring! It doesn't even have pictures!" Ella whinged.
Everett ripped the book from his twin sister's grasp. "The pictures are all up here," he shot back, tapping his forehead. "You should try it sometime. Oh right, you can't read."
Ella stuck her tongue out at him in response. "Prick."
"Tosser," Everett shot back.
"Hey!" Ginny said, bringing out her mum voice. "Stop it, both of you. Ella, keep an eye on Evie. We still have to get a few more things at the market."
"Can we go visit Uncle Fred and Uncle George's shop?" Genevieve asked, her big blue eyes wide.
"If you all behave at the market, we'll make a stop," Ginny promised. "Everett, if you're going to walk and read, can you please keep an eye on your feet? I don't need you tripping over anything again."
"Yes, Mum," Everett said, tucking his book into his cloak pocket.
His brown hair had hints of dark red in it, making it look more like fresh cedar in the light and he had Harry's bright emerald green eyes. At nine years old, he was an avid reader and there was nothing he liked more than to be curled up somewhere inside or outside the house with his nose buried in a book. It drove his twin sister Cedrella mad because Ella was a constant bundle of energy. She had the same eyes as her brother, but her hair was as black as Harry's and very, very curly as it fell halfway down her back. While Everett was quiet, Ella was loud. She spent all of her time outside either riding the horses or flying on a broomstick. They couldn't be more different from each other.
Genevieve, whom they all called Evie most of the time, was eight. She had dark brown hair with just hints of red under her big blue eyes and she was a little caretaker. She loved nothing more than helping Ginny or Harry in the kitchen. She was a sweet little helper and Ginny knew that she had a very big heart.
"Mum, can we make treacle tart for Daddy today?" Genevieve asked.
Ginny smiled at her youngest child. "I'm sure Daddy would love that, Evie. We'll get the ingredients."
The kids helped her get everything she needed, dividing and conquering at the market in record time. Then the kids helped her load up all the bags into the special totes that Hermione had gifted them all with ten years earlier. They all had been charmed to specifically carry an unlimited number of things so that they would only have to carry one or two bags around. Then when they brought them home, all they had to do was tap their wand three times on the bottom of the bag and everything appeared before them in the blink of an eye laid out in an organized and neat fashion. It made shopping a lot easier, especially with kids.
Ginny was just about to tell them that they could go to Weasleys Wizard Wheezes when the nausea hit her seemingly out of nowhere and she let go of Genevieve's hand before she grabbed the rubbish bin near her and vomited straight into it.
"Mum!" Ella exclaimed, her eyes wide. "Are you all right?"
Ginny shook her head and vomited again before she felt it subside. Bloody hell, she'd thought that chicken salad sandwich had tasted funny earlier, but she hadn't expected this. "I… I think we have to go home."
Everett immediately took the bag from her and put it on his shoulder before he took her arm. "I've got you, Mum. Ella, take Evie's hand."
Ginny gave her son a grateful look before she held on tightly to her kids and they Disapparated back to Clevedon Court. She barely made it into the house before she ran for the bathroom again and when she finally emerged, Genevieve was standing there with a glass of water and warm face cloth.
"Thank you, darling," Ginny said, accepting both.
"Are you all right, Mum?" Genevieve asked, looking at with her big blue eyes full of worry.
"I will be," Ginny assured her.
When she went into the kitchen, she was surprised to find Everett and Ella putting all of the groceries away.
Everett shrugged when she caught them. "You were sick."
Ginny's heart warmed and she was surprised to find her heart in her throat. "Oh! Come here."
They both let her pull them close for a hug and Ginny rested her chin on the top of Everett's head. He was already tall enough to reach her shoulders.
"Thank you. Both of you. That was very kind."
Ella smiled. "It was no problem, Mum."
Ginny kissed their cheeks and then told them to go off and play. She needed to get dinner started. The nausea stayed with her for a bit, but thankfully nothing else came up. She drank a Vitamin C potion and prayed that whatever food poisoning was trying to invade her senses needed to back off. Christmas was a week away and she had way too much to do. The last thing she needed was to get sick.
By the time Harry came home, she was feeling much better. He kissed her softly, holding her tightly back against him, letting the kiss linger just long enough for Everett to walk in and go, "Barf."
Harry stole one more kiss before he turned to smile at their youngest son. "One day, you won't say barf."
Everett rolled his eyes. "Doubt it."
"Did you get everything you needed today?" Harry asked.
"More or less," Ginny said. "I think I ate something bad for lunch so we had to leave early. I didn't make it to Vane Fashion to pick up our robes for the Wizard's Ball."
"I can do that," Harry assured her. "You all right?"
Ginny shrugged. "I don't know. I took a Vitamin C potion in hopes of pushing it back. I feel better now."
Harry kissed her forehead. "Go sit and relax. I'll finish dinner."
"I'm okay, Harry," she told him.
Harry gave her a little push and slapped her arse. "Go, relax. I've got this."
Five minutes later she heard AC/DC blast out of the kitchen and she smiled. Some things never changed. The five of them shared dinner together and by nine, their three youngest kids were all in bed. Harry tugged Ginny down onto the sofa next to him and wrapped his arm around her.
"All right, give me the list of what I need to do for the holiday."
Ginny smiled. "Just the usual. We'll have to bring out the extra chairs and decorations. Everett, Ella, and Evie are going to help me decorate all day tomorrow since they don't have school. But we'll wait to get the tree up until Saturday so that the others can help."
"Then our house will really be full," Harry said, making her laugh.
"I feel so relieved when the kids get on the train to go to school and then I can't wait for them to come back home again," Ginny admitted.
"Me too," Harry said. "We might have an hour of peace before the arguing starts. I can't wait."
Ginny chuckled and snuggled up to him. She felt very much the same. "I'll ask Basil and Esmerelda to help out a bit too, but I think the kids and I can handle it."
She was fond of the house elf couple. They'd been married almost as long as she and Harry had and even had two kids of their own. Two girls whom they'd named Rosa after Basil's mum and Iris. They built their own little cottage on the property Harry had sold them thanks to the new house elf laws and were a happy little family.
"As long as you're feeling all right," Harry said, pulling her out of her thoughts. "I don't want you overworking yourself if you're getting sick."
"I feel better now," Ginny told him. "I think maybe I just ate something that didn't agree with me."
"Hmm, maybe," Harry said, running his thumb over the Potter ring and her wedding band. "So, are you feeling a lot better then?"
"Well, I'm tired," Ginny said with a laugh. "But I think I've been tired since April of '04."
Harry chuckled. "Just think, three more years and all of our kids will be off at Hogwarts."
"Jamie will be done Hogwarts," Ginny corrected.
"Okay fine, James will be done, but that's what I'm saying, Gin. We'll be kid free for the first time in eighteen years," he said, leaning in to kiss the side of her neck. "We can spend days in bed again."
Ginny smiled. "Days, huh?"
"All right, fine, weeks," he corrected. "We'll make love right here on the living room floor, get rug burn again. Then we'll do it on your desk in the study."
"We did that last week," she teased.
Harry's green eyes darkened and she knew that he was remembering the way he'd bent her over the desk and taken her hard and fast while the kids had been outside playing. It had been quick and dirty and she'd loved every second of it.
"This time I'd make it last," he promised.
Harry sucked on the side of her neck, teasing soft kisses down her throat before he slowly lowered himself to his knees. Ginny's fingers slid through his hair as she watched him pull her black tights down and then her knickers before he kissed her thighs tenderly. Then his tongue traced from freckle to freckle in a pattern he'd memorized over two decades ago.
"Harry…" she whispered.
His green eyes met hers before he licked his lips and then leaned in, lifting her legs over his shoulders to rest, and used his tongue. Ginny's fingers tightened in his hair and her head fell back against the sofa cushions. Merlin knew the kids could wake up and come down, but the chances were slim. At eight and nine it was rare for them to get up in the night and Ginny had never been so grateful.
Her husband's tongue was buried deep inside of her, doing the most wicked things while his thumb rubbed her bud; she was holding him in place, her hips rising to meet his mouth. Even after all these years, Harry still drove her absolutely mad with lust. She'd been attracted to other men over the years, even felt that little pull in her belly when some men flirted with her, but no one had ever drawn her in like Harry had.
His mouth moved up, sucking her clit into his mouth and she put her hand over her mouth to stop herself from crying out as two fingers plunged into her. The orgasm took her by surprise and she tugged on her husband's thick black locks, trembling as she came, and moaning into her hand.
Harry lifted his head, licking his lips, a soft smile on his face. "Mmm, best dessert ever."
Ginny smiled, her toes slowly uncurling. "Best husband ever."
He kissed her thigh. "We should see if your mum will want to keep the kids overnight for the Wizard's Ball."
"All six of them?" Ginny asked, her eyebrow rising.
"Maybe. Jamie's already asked to sleepover at George and Angelina's to hang out with Gideon and I think Fox is going over too. Alby will probably go over to Wiltshire to hang out with Scorpius. It would only be Lily, Everett, Ella, and Genevieve."
"That's true," Ginny said, looking thoughtful.
"And then," Harry said, slipping two fingers back into her. "We can welcome in the year 2020 naked and very, very alone."
Ginny's head fell back as his fingers pumped in and out of her. "Naked, eh?"
"Very naked," Harry corrected. "Preferably with your mouth wrapped around my cock."
"Oh, really," Ginny said, her breath hitching slightly.
He nodded. "Absolutely. Then after I finish in your mouth, I'm going to do this."
He leaned in and sucked her clit into his mouth for a long suck, making her release a little mewling sound that made her husband look entirely too cocky.
"And then," he continued, leaning in to give her a long lick. "I'm going to keep doing this again and again and again until you make it to twenty-one."
Desire pooled in Ginny's gut at that image. The man was dead set on increasing her amount of orgasms in a twenty-four hour period. Twenty was the most she'd ever come for him and it had happened last year. The two of them had taken a week long holiday, just the two of them, and they'd spent the entire week shagging like bunnies. Ginny didn't even remember leaving the beach house outside of going surfing every morning. They'd spent the third day doing nothing but shagging, drinking water, and eating and Harry had made her come twenty times. It had been amazing and she'd been completely exhausted and her husband had looked entirely too pleased with himself.
Ginny knew that she was a very lucky woman. She remembered how Witch Weekly had done an article on orgasms a few years ago that had sparked quite the conversation among her sister-in-laws.
"There is no scientifically accepted limit on the number of orgasms a female can have, but in theory, there is no limit," Audrey read aloud one day when they were all congregated in the kitchen of George and Angelina's for Sunday dinner while their husbands were outside grilling.
"This is true," Hermione said. "But every woman is different. Some women find it harder to get there so when they do, it's only one or two really good ones. It says here that 'only 12% of women reported multiple orgasms during their last sexual experience' which to me isn't a big number."
"Quality over quantity," Angelina said. "George is great for taking his time and making sure I'm well satisfied, but I'll take one amazing orgasm over four half-assed ones any time."
"I like edging," Audrey admitted. "You know when they build you up, taking you right to that edge before they take it away. Merlin, one time, I came so hard, I think my whole body orgasmed."
Ginny chuckled. "Those are definitely good ones."
Fleur smiled. "I am very lucky and I do not have a problem with zat. Bill gets me zere almost every time."
"George too," Angelina said. "He takes the time to do it. That's when you know you have a good man when he takes the time."
"Fae are very sexual," Fiadh said. "The refractory period is basically nonexistent when I only have to touch him and heal it. Fred and I have no worries about our sex life."
"Did someone say they were worried?" Hermione asked. "Audrey was merely mentioning the article, but refractory period is a real thing in men. Ron and I still have a very good sex life, but even he can't go immediately again like he used to."
"Well, zat happens when men age," Fleur said. "But zat makes it better because zen zey really know how to draw it out and make it last."
Audrey wiggled her eyebrows. "Now that sounds fun. Ginny and Harry will get that wake-up call in a decade."
"Hey, way to single me out," Ginny said.
Audrey grinned. "You two have five kids and are still shagging like bunnies. It's unheard of. Pretty sure you said you orgasm twice a day."
"Not always," Ginny corrected. "Sometimes it's more."
Angelina wiggled her eyebrows. "Just how many more are we talking? Like, if I'm being honest, I've never come more than seven times in one day and that was like once ever. Four is usually my limit when we have tons of sex."
"Eight," Audrey said proudly. "Percy and I read this article that said the more you work a woman towards orgasm, the more tolerance you can build her into coming more often. After eight, I slept for nine hours and woke up feeling incredible."
"Wait, like eight back-to-back?" Hermione goggled, her eyes wide.
"No," Audrey said. "Over the course of a few hours."
"Wow," Hermione said. "And I thought seven was impressive."
"And what's your number, Hermione?" Angelina asked.
Hermione shrugged. "Six, but Ron and I like to draw them out. I'm with Audrey on that, edging is kind of sexy."
Fiadh scoffed. "Nine is mine and Audrey is right, the more tolerance a woman has the more her body will allow itself to orgasm. It's a buildup that if done properly can be incredible. You want the orgasm to be enjoyable, not to the point that it's too sensitive it's almost painful. Pleasure is the ultimate goal. Fleur?"
Fleur smiled. "Eight, but that was only once. Usually Bill and I are lucky to hit two or three."
"Oh, same here," Angelina said. "That was like the one time record, you know?"
Hermione turned to look at Ginny. "Someone's been quiet over here. What's your number, Ginny?"
Ginny's face heated. "Sixteen."
"SIXTEEN?" Angelina shrieked, her eyes wide. "Bloody hell! SIXTEEN?"
Ginny nodded. "Well, like Fiadh said, it's a buildup and… Harry really likes going down on me and…"
Audrey clapped. "That man deserves an award. Here I was thinking the two of you were just shagging and he's over there eating you out sixteen times…"
"Well, not every time was from that," Ginny said, her cheeks bright red. "He said we're trying for seventeen our next night with no kids."
"Lucky bitch," Angelina said, making Ginny laugh. "He has every right to be smug! George went out and made himself a damn trophy that sits on our night table after he got me to seven in one night."
"He what?" Hermione goggled. "A trophy?"
Angelina rolled her eyes. "Oh, it gets worse. It's of the Greek god Priapus and George hangs his pirate ring on his huge erection every night."
Ginny laughed. "Of course he would!"
"Ron bought me a bookmark that says 'my husband is better at sex than any book boyfriend' so I'm not really that surprised," Hermione said, making everyone laugh.
Fiadh shook her head in amusement. "This explains why Fred came home with a huge canvas portrait photo from our wedding and underneath he added a plaque that read: Fiadh, the princess who married the jester who made her come nine times because he's a sex god named Fred' and insisted on hanging it on the wall over our bed."
Hermione snorted. "Sounds about right."
"Well, Harry hasn't given himself a trophy," Ginny said. "But he does look pretty cocky sometimes."
"Has he ever made you squirt?" Angelina asked, eying Ginny curiously.
Ginny blushed and bit her lip. "Yes."
Angelina snickered. "Why am I not surprised."
"Next thing she's going to tell us is that Harry can still get it up multiple times a day," Audrey teased.
"I can not tell you if that makes you feel better," Ginny replied.
"Did you and Harry have sex today?" Audrey demanded.
Ginny gave her sisters a sheepish look. "Just a quick shag in the shower this morning and then well, again in the linen cupboard upstairs."
"Of my house?" Angelina demanded.
Ginny grinned. "You and George were watching the kids so we took the opportunity."
"You two are incorrigible," Hermione said, shaking her head. "It's no wonder you're pregnant again."
"Hey, that vasectomy didn't take," Ginny protested, putting a hand over her stomach. "This one was a real accidental surprise."
"It probably failed because the two of you couldn't keep your hands off of each other and had too much sex before he was fully healed," Hermione said.
"We waited."
"To what? The first hour they said he should be all right?" Angelina teased. "There's a reason they tell you to wait at least three weeks."
Ginny stuck her tongue out at her sister-in-law. "Well, kind of. He still had use of his mouth before then."
"Six months pregnant and still getting off twice before noon," Audrey said, shaking her head. "I need to find my husband."
"Me too," Angelina said, jumping up just as Harry came into the kitchen.
Harry lifted an eyebrow when they all stared at him. "Erm, am I interrupting?"
"No," Angelina said, giving him a once over. "We're just talking about sex."
"Right," Harry said, his cheeks heating. "Um, I need the tongs for the grill."
Audrey passed them over. "Here you go."
"Thanks," Harry said, looking at Ginny curiously. "Well, I'll leave you to it then."
Fiadh grinned. "Another sixteen minutes should be enough."
Harry looked baffled for a moment before Ginny saw it click and he licked his lips. "As soon as we have a night to ourselves again it's going to be seventeen."
Then he walked out of the kitchen, a cocky smirk on his face, as everyone hollered and laughed.
And when Ginny found her husband a little while later, the look on his face when he saw her only reminded her of exactly how lucky she was.
It was why she lifted her hips towards him now as his tongue worked her over for the second time. In the eight years since then, he'd definitely built her tolerance up and three times in the last eight years had she tapped out after twenty orgasms. Harry, always determined to make her come again, knew when she could handle it and when she couldn't and the fact that he knew her body so well, only proved how well they worked together.
His tongue rolled over her clit and a moan escaped her. "Harry…"
He moaned against her, his fingers slipping into her again to work her with his tongue. When she came a second time, her toes were still curled as Harry stood up.
Ginny put a sweaty hand on her forehead and gave him a soft smile. "You spoil me."
"Mm, pretty sure it's the other way around," Harry said, grabbing her hand and pulling her to her feet.
Ginny pressed herself up against his erection with a coy smile as he groaned. "Need some help with that, Lord Potter?" she teased, her hand cupping him through his black trousers.
Harry squeezed her hand in his before he tugged her over to the wall, pushing her back against it and kissing her deeply. Ginny's fingers slid up the back of his neck and into his hair as they kissed again and again and again.
It was amazing that after being married for over nineteen years, one kiss from Harry and her whole world just righted. Kissing him was the best feeling in the world. The feel of his lips, the dance of his tongue, the taste of him… nothing had ever come close to it. They stood there, snogging against the wall and grinding against each other like teenagers until finally Ginny reached between them and undid his trousers, shoving them and his underwear down his hips. She gripped him in her hand, giving him a few teasing strokes before she lifted her leg up to his hip.
Harry didn't need anymore convincing. He lifted her other leg and held her in place as she locked them around his waist and he slid into her in one motion. They both groaned.
"Take off your shirt," he murmured.
Ginny pulled her shirt over her head and then her sports bra and Harry's eyes darkened with lust before he bent his head to suck one of her pink nipples into his mouth. Ginny pushed at his shirt and he broke away only long enough to tug it over and off before latching his mouth back to her nipple and pushing deeper inside of her.
Then it was fast and hard as Ginny slammed back into the wall, clinging to Harry as he worked himself in and out of her again and again, his fingers working her clit while he sucked on her breast. Ginny moaned and then gave him a look. Harry shifted back automatically and Ginny pushed him back against the wall. She gripped his shoulders tightly and then began to ride him where they stood.
Harry's eyes crossed and she knew that he was close as her own orgasm was building. Ginny kept bouncing, impaling herself on him again and again while his fingers worked her clit and when the orgasm tore through her, Harry lasted half a second longer before he came with a loud grunt. Ginny pulled his mouth to hers and snogged him brainless while they rode out their orgasms together.
Ginny stole one more kiss before she carefully lowered her legs and slid off of her husband's sated cock with a smile. "Well, I certainly feel better now."
He grinned and licked his lips. "Me too."
Ginny smiled and turned around to pick up their clothes. "We're lucky our kids sleep like the dead."
Harry laughed. "The bedrooms are upstairs, they didn't hear a thing."
The sound of his palm hitting her arse echoed in the quiet house.
"Harry!"
He grinned. "Couldn't resist. You were bent over like that and that perfect heart-shaped bottom was taunting me."
Ginny rolled her eyes. "That bottom hasn't been a perfect heart-shape since James was born."
"You're not the one admiring it," Harry corrected. "Definitely still heart-shaped and perfect, just maybe a little fuller."
She slapped his arse this time and he grinned.
"Did I mention how much I love the fact that it's fuller?"
"Nice save, Potter," Ginny said. "Come on, let's go shower and cleanup. We have a long day tomorrow."
Harry took her hand and brought it to his lips. "Does showering include me eating you out on the bench?"
Her eyes darkened and he smirked.
"Let's go."
After coming a fourth time in the shower and then a fifth time when Harry bent her over the bed, Ginny was feeling very relaxed. But when she woke up the next morning, she still had a list of a million and one things that still needed to be done.
Since Harry was off, she left the kids with him and ran into her office in Diagon Alley to finalize the last bits of the magazine for publication. She spoke to Gwenog Jones to double check a quote and finally managed to get some lunch around one. She unwrapped her tuna sandwich to take a bite and the smell made bile rise up in her throat. She barely made it to the bathroom before she was puking her guts up.
"Ginny, are you all right?" Kai Tommasi, her eighteen-year-old assistant asked her when she came out of the loo.
"I think so," Ginny said. "I think my tuna sandwich is bad."
"Ugh, that's unfortunate," Kai said, his bright red lips frowning. "I'll run down to the deli and get you something else."
"Thank you, Kai."
Her assistant hurried off to do that and Ginny was grateful he took the tuna sandwich with him. She washed her face and cleaned her mouth, feeling better by the time her assistant passed her the ham sandwich. When she finished for the day, she made plans to get in early on Monday to get the magazine to print and then headed out to run her last minute errands.
By the time she returned home she was exhausted, her whole body ached, and she was pretty sure that Harry had left beard burn on her breasts from how much they ached. She could hear Genevieve and Harry laughing in the kitchen as One Direction played on the wireless. She passed Everett curled up on a chair in the living room with a book while Ella was drawing at the table. She said a quick hello and ran upstairs to change into something more comfortable.
Ginny undressed, checking her breasts as she did and frowning over how sensitive they were. There was a bit of a burn, but nothing that would result in how much they ached. She changed into tights and one of Harry's old jumpers, rolling up the heavy socks onto her feet before she hurried into the bathroom. When she opened the cupboard for her lotion, her eyes fell on her feminine hygiene products and she frowned, doing an automatic count back in her head that made her freeze.
No. No, it wasn't possible, she thought.
She was always on time. She was like clockwork actually; every twenty-eight days without fail. She grabbed her wand off of the counter and did the charm out of reflex and when it glowed gold, she swore.
"No!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide in shock. "Bloody buggering fuck!"
When she composed herself enough to go downstairs, she knew it still wasn't enough when her husband raised an eyebrow. Ginny shook her head and ignored his looks and asks all evening but when the kids went to bed, Harry grabbed her arms.
"Hey, what's going on?"
"I think I'm pregnant," she blurted, the last word coming out so quietly it was almost a whisper.
"I'm sorry," Harry said slowly. "I don't think I heard you correctly. Say that again."
"Pregnant. Me. I think."
Harry stared at her, his green eyes the size of saucers before his mouth opened and then closed again. "How?"
"You know how," Ginny said.
Harry shook his head. "No, I… I had a vasectomy."
"Yes and that worked so well before Evie came along."
"But… I had it done a second time!" Harry insisted. "It can't fail a second time!"
"I don't know, Harry!" Ginny practically shouted. "I've been throwing up the last few days and my tits hurt and I'm tired more than usual and I haven't had my period since the second week of November and it's almost Christmas and the spell was gold!"
Harry opened his mouth to say something again before he closed it and shook his head.
"Say something!"
"What do you want me to say?" Harry demanded.
Tears welled up in Ginny's eyes and she furiously blinked them back. "I don't know, but something."
Harry pulled her tight against his chest. "Gin, I… I'm shocked, obviously, and I mean, I didn't expect it. I'm going to be forty, we… we were done with the whole kid thing."
"I know," she whispered against his chest.
Harry kissed the top of her head. "But I love you a little more every day and the idea of having another baby with you… I don't hate it."
Ginny pulled back to look up at him. "You don't?"
"No," he said, tenderly. "I think seven sounds kind of awesome actually."
Ginny snorted. "Awesome? Harry, we said that we'd have four and now there's… seven!"
He grinned. "Someone had to follow in your parents' footsteps I guess."
Ginny scoffed. "Gods, I don't know if I can do it again. Evie's finally at the stage where she does her own thing and we were just talking about how in three years, the kids will all be at Hogwarts! Jamie's going to be sixteen in April, Harry!"
"I know," Harry said, holding her close. "I mean, he might be a little horrified at the thought, but he'll come around."
"You want it, don't you?" she whispered.
Harry pressed his lips to her forehead. "I love you, Ginny Potter. You're the most important person in my life. I love you with everything I am and with everything I will be. I love our life. I love our kids. Will I love this baby with everything I am? Absolutely. I will be the best bloody dad I can be, but if you don't want to do it again, if you think it's too much after everything, I will love and support you through that too."
Ginny's eyes softened. "How are you so bloody perfect, you stupid man?"
His lips twitched. "Whatever you want, Gin."
Ginny sighed and let out a long breath. "Of course we're going to keep number bloody seven! Gods, my brothers are never going to let this go."
"I'll owl Padma and set up an appointment for Monday," Harry said. "We'll check for sure before we tell anyone. All right?"
"All right," Ginny agreed and when he kissed her and held her close, she knew that it was going to be all right.
Padma confirmed it on Monday afternoon with a smile. "Yes, you're definitely pregnant. It's very early yet, but you're six weeks."
"Bloody hell," Harry said, his eyes wide. "What about the vasectomy?"
"Well, I don't know for sure," Padma began. "But considering you've had it done twice, I think it's possible that something reconnected. Vasectomies don't fail. The first time was probably because you had sex too soon after the procedure, sometimes it needs a bit to be completely full proof, but this… it's highly unusual but not impossible. Something must have reconnected over time and if you two are serious about not having any more children, I would suggest maybe Ginny getting her tubes tied after this pregnancy and you can always keep using the potions as well just to be safe."
"Seven," Harry said shaking his head. "Seven. Just wow."
Padma gave them a hesitant smile. "Actually, eight."
"What?" Ginny demanded, her eyes wide.
"There's two," Padma said, her lips twitching into a smile as she pointed to the light rendition of Ginny's stomach floating above her. "It's early yet as I said, but I'm sure. Two heartbeats. You're having twins, Ginny, Harry. And if my calculations are correct, they should be arriving the last week of August."
"Twins?" Harry squeaked, his eyes widening. "Two? But-but-but we already have twins?"
Padma chuckled. "There's no limit to how many times a couple can have a multiple birth, Harry."
"Bloody hell," Harry said. "Seven and Eight?"
Ginny squeezed his hand in hers as Padma excused herself to give them a minute. "Well, are we really doing this again?"
Harry stared at the image of the two heartbeats echoing in the room. "I think we're really bloody doing this."
Ginny sighed and patted her stomach. "Seven and Eight Potter, you better be easy. I don't want trouble from either of you. Are we clear?"
Harry grinned and leaned down to kiss her stomach. "I love you, Ginny Potter."
Ginny smiled and reached up to cup her husband's cheek. "I love you, Harry Potter. Now come on, we have a holiday dinner to plan and apparently an announcement to make."
He chuckled. "Should be fun."
~ KE: Other Epilogues ~
25th December 2019…
Fun wasn't exactly how he would describe it. Clevedon Court was filled with family and complete chaos as was usual. Remus was sitting with his arm around Tonks while they talked to Bill and Fleur about wedding plans for Teddy and Victoire who were getting married in June. Dominique was talking to her sister about the bridesmaid dresses, ecstatic at the thought of being her Maid of Honour while Leo was going to be Teddy's Best Man. Louis and Tristian were standing in as groomsmen along with James while the other bridesmaids were going to be Mina, Aydin, and Felicity.
It was hard to believe that the next generation was starting to get married and here they were about to start everything all over again. Harry looked over at Mina where she was sitting on the sofa next to her husband of two years, Grayson Goyle. The man looked a lot like his father from his tall frame and hulking physique to his kind eyes. Harry knew that Sirius really hadn't liked the idea of this man courting his daughter, but one look at how much Grayson adored Mina was all it took to win him over. Now, Mina was due any day now with their first child. She was hugely pregnant and three days past her due date, much to her dismay.
Her twin brother Leo had married Aydin Weasley in the summer and Aydin was seven months pregnant herself with their first child. Harry watched Leo bring her a plate of food before he lifted her feet up into his lap to rub them with a smile. Time had really passed quickly.
Charlie was talking to Sirius and Zee about something to do with his work as Head Dragonologist at the Magical Menagerie while Percy and Audrey interrupted with her their own stories. Percy's eldest daughter Molly Anna was eighteen and interning with Colin as a photographer. Her long hair was dyed in rainbow colours as she told them about her plan to travel in the spring with only her camera as her guide while Lee recommended some places that he thought she should go first. Lucy Loo was thirteen and was very interested in cooking as she spoke to Flo about a recipe she'd tried involving chicken and apples.
Fred had his arm around Fiadh. Felicity was sitting on the floor with her fiancé Killian McCoy's arm around her shoulders. Killian worked in Tara as a guard and they'd fallen in love when Felicity began her job in the palace library. They were planning on marrying in May of the upcoming year. Finley was laughing at something that her sister said, a big smile on her face. Forest was in her final year at Hogwarts and was talking about her plans of becoming a healer after school. She wanted to work specifically with children and had the grades to back up her dreams. Fox, Jamie, and Gideon had disappeared somewhere and Harry hoped that it out was out back and not down into the wine cellar as those three tended to find trouble a lot more easily when they were together. Roxie and Lily had gone up to the girls' bedroom along with Rose. Asher, Knox, Hugo, Granger, Albus, Ella, Everett, and Evie were all outside having a huge snowball fight.
Colt was sitting next to Sorcha and Flo, talking to her about all of his great-great-grandkids with a smile as Zee and Sirius talked about their own excitement of Mina and Aydin both being pregnant at the same time. Harry thought it was so wonderful to see everyone together. It was why they waited until everyone was at the two large tables in the great hall to stand up and clear his throat.
"Ginny and I would just like to thank everyone for coming here to celebrate with us today," Harry said. "This is our family and seeing it grow with Grayson joining us and soon to be Killian, it's a wonderful thing. Which is why Gin and I wanted to share our news today with you all. It's early yet but… well…"
"What news?" Molly asked, looking suspiciously between them when Harry trailed off.
"We're pregnant," Ginny said.
"With twins," Harry finished.
"Bloody hell, Potter!" Bill exclaimed. "Don't you two ever stop?"
"It was an accident!" Ron bellowed. "There's another bet in there somewhere! Did I win money?"
"No," George said. "After little Evie we thought they were done and didn't bet again."
"Damn it," Ron muttered.
"I'm not surprised," Angelina said. "After all, with twenty being the new number, I'm actually shocked it took eight more years."
"What's twenty?" George demanded.
"Never you mind," Angelina shushed.
"Well, if you can all stop being gits about it," Ginny said, winking at Angelina. "Harry and I are happy. Surprised, but happy."
Molly had tears in her eyes as she reached out to kiss both of their cheeks. "I knew you wouldn't let Evie be my last grand baby."
Ginny rolled her eyes. "These two will be. Absolutely."
As everyone congratulated them and their brothers teased them, James and Albus gave their parents equal looks of disgust.
"Again?" James demanded, wrinkling his nose. "But you're like old and stuff."
"Oi!" Harry said, cuffing his son's ear. "We're not old."
"You're going to be forty, Dad. That's practically ancient."
"Jamie's right," Albus said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "It's kind of gross."
"Yeah, Harry," Fred teased. "It's kinda gross."
George scoffed. "Eight bloody kids! It's actually not even surprising. I told Ange I thought you'd have twelve."
"You're having twelve kids?" James exclaimed, looking horrified. "No! That means you're like still having sex and stuff and just no."
"We're not having twelve kids," Harry said. "Eight is the end, Jamie."
"Jamie, my boy," Fred said, slapping his nephew on the shoulder. "Your parents have more sex than anyone I've ever known in my whole life."
"Barf," James said. "But they're so old! That would be like if Padpa and Zeema were still doing it."
Sirius wiggled his eyebrows at his eldest grandson. "Well, we're not doing it right this minute…"
"Ew!" James exclaimed, exchanging a look of horror with Albus. "New babies is whatever, Dad, but the thought of everything else… kill me now!"
Sirius snorted into his wine. "Aw, the lovely payback has begun."
"Shut up, Uncle Siri," Harry said as his godfather laughed.
They'd just finished up dinner when Leo jumped to his feet and hurried over to his sister. He lowered his head to say something to her and she nodded, squeezing his hand.
"Mina thinks the baby's coming," Leo said as Grayson jumped to his feet, panic in his eyes.
"Now? But we're not ready! I mean, now? Are you sure?" Grayson exclaimed.
Sirius hurried over to put his hand on Grayson's shoulder. "It will be all right, mate. Leo, help you sister stand."
"Mama," Mina said, tears in her eyes as Zee moved to help her son with her daughter.
"I'm right here, darling," Zee said with a teary smile. "Come on. Let's get you two home and get the healer ready. It looks like we'll be welcoming in a new baby this Christmas."
Leo urged Aydin to stay back and keep resting her feet, but he gave Harry a look. Harry kissed his wife's cheek and then hurried off to help Leo with Mina. They arrived at their home in Castle Combe as Zee talked to the healer and then they waited. After two hours, Sirius started pacing back and forth.
"Uncle Siri, sit down," Harry said. "Pacing isn't helping."
Sirius ran a hand through his hair. He'd turned sixty last month and his hair had finally started to turn a bit grey at the temples and at his roots. When Zee told him it was sexy, he'd reluctantly agreed not to dye it and Harry thought it suited him.
"Bloody hell, Harry. My baby girl's having her first baby."
"I know," Harry said with a grin. "Hard to believe, isn't it?"
"And you and Ginny are having two more. Merlin, I can't keep up with the number of grandkids I have."
Harry chuckled. "Just you wait, I heard Aydin telling Mina she wants a million."
"Bloody hell," Sirius said again.
Leo, who Mina insisted had to stay by her side, popped out to tell them that she was doing all right, but not yet. Leo, Zee, and Grayson were all in the room with Mina and the healer. When the door closed again, Sirius turned to Harry.
"So, how are you and Ginny feeling about two more?"
"Surprised as all fuck," Harry admitted. "We were just saying the other day that three more years and all of our kids would be at Hogwarts and now… I certainly didn't think I'd still be having kids at forty."
Sirius chuckled. "It looks good on you though — fatherhood."
"I learned from the best," Harry said with a smile. "We talked about it and well, it wasn't exactly in our plans, but we're willing to do it all again, one more time."
"Are you sure it's going to be the last? I mean, you already had two failed vasectomies which has to be a record by the way."
Harry rolled his eyes. "I don't bloody know why it didn't take, but no, this is it. Padma said they don't fail so something happened, a fluke or something in the procedure. The first time it failed was… fuck, Gin and I didn't wait long enough, all right? Three weeks without sex seemed excessive when I felt fine so that was on us. But this time… I don't know and well, Padma already said that she was going to tie Ginny's tubes after she gives birth and then we'll stay on the potions. This is it. Eight and done."
Sirius chuckled. "Wise move, Prongslet. You two are incredibly fertile together."
"Shut it," Harry said with a laugh. "Trust me, we know."
"Can you believe Teddy's getting married in June? All of my kids are married now and now Remus' son is tying the knot. All three of you are giving me new grandkids… I feel like these kids were all just born and now… I mean, Jamie only has two more years left at Hogwarts… where did the time go?"
"I ask myself that all the time," Harry admitted. "Bloody hell, sixteen… we decided when he turned sixteen we would bring him to the Wizard's Ball."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," Harry said. "I guess it's time I start showing him how great it is to be Marquess."
Sirius laughed. "Make sure you show a bit more enthusiasm when you do."
"Haha," Harry said. "With Teddy marrying Vic, I guess it's really starting to sink in."
"Going to be the biggest wedding since yours according to Moony," Sirius said. "Apparently once Victoire asked Theo to use Norfolk, things kept getting bigger. I heard Bill's cursing over the cost of her wedding dress."
"Bill is a softie when it comes to his kids," Harry said. "Bloody hell, Gin's going to be really pregnant at their wedding."
Sirius grinned. "It's going to be an interesting year."
Pansy and Greg showed up asking if they'd missed it as Harry assured them they hadn't and three hours later, just after midnight, Zee stuck her head out the door.
"What's the news, Hot Mama?" Sirius said, standing up.
Zee smiled, her whole face lit up. "We have a granddaughter. Come on in, Padpa, Uncle Harry, Pansy, Greg."
The two of them headed into the room to find Mina and Grayson with their cheeks together as Leo held his niece, a look of pure awe on his face.
"Dad, Harry, look!"
Mina smiled from the bed, looking tired, but happy. "Zelena Minerva Goyle, meet your Zeema, Uncle Harry, Uncle Leo, Padpa, Grandma, and Grandpa."
Leo passed the baby to Zee who cooed over her happily. "Wow. I can't believe you have a baby, Mina."
"You will too in a few months," she said.
Grayson beamed at his wife and kissed her softly. "She's beautiful, love. She's perfect."
Harry hugged Zee from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder as he bent over her to look down at the little girl in her arms. "Looks just like her Zeema, don't you think so, Mama?"
Zee turned her head to kiss his cheek. "This is the best Christmas gift I ever could have asked for."
"Day after Christmas," Leo corrected. "But yeah, it's pretty great."
Harry moved over to kiss Mina's cheek. "How does it feel to be a mum, little sis?"
Mina smiled wide, her head resting on her husband's shoulder. "Magical."
Greg held his first granddaughter, a look of awe on his face as Pansy wrapped her arms around his waist and Harry couldn't help but smile at them.
"Ever thought you'd be a Grandpa at forty, Greg?" Harry asked.
Greg chuckled and exchanged a loving look with Pansy. "Not in a million years."
When Harry went home in the pre-dawn hours, he crawled into bed next to his wife of nineteen and a half years and spooned her, his hand over her still flat stomach. Ginny murmured a sleepy hi and he kissed her neck.
"A girl," he whispered. "I'll tell you more tomorrow."
Then he rubbed his hand over her stomach with a soft sigh and a smile against his wife's shoulder.
"We can't wait to meet you, Seven and Eight."
He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, holding his wife close with a smile on his lips.

31st July 2020…
The day of Harry's fortieth birthday, he woke up alone in his bed. He rolled over, finding the sheets cold near him and frowned, wondering where his wife had wandered off too. He found her in their bath, attempting to dry herself off with a towel, her hugely pregnant belly making it difficult.
Harry moved up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the side of her neck. "Good morning, Beautiful."
Ginny scowled. "Beautiful, my arse. Look at me, Harry! I look like a bloody whale!"
Harry did look at her and had to disagree. She was hugely pregnant, her large protruding belly popping outward, the belly button rising out of her stomach and it was covered in blue veins. Her large breasts sat over her stomach with large pink nipples and her hips were a bit wider. Her ankles and feet were a bit swollen, but he still thought she was breathtaking. Something about seeing her carry their children was the sexiest thing he could ever imagine.
He let his hands slide down to squeeze her arse before he stole a kiss. "I see a fertility goddess before me. Stunning in every single way."
Ginny snorted. "I'll still give you a birthday blowie, you don't have to lie."
"Not lying," he insisted. "I always find you breathtaking."
Ginny sighed and met his eyes in the mirror. "All right, I'll stop whinging. Happy Fortieth Birthday, Harry."
"Thanks, Gin," he said, kissing her softly.
Ginny pushed his pyjama bottoms down his hips. "If you help me sit down over there, I'll give you a present."
He grinned and did exactly that, sitting her down on the side of the tub and then groaning when her mouth engulfed him in that wet heat.
"Fuck," he moaned, tossing his head back. "Best present ever."
When he finished in her mouth, she licked him clean and then made him help her stand. "Shower and then come on downstairs. We're making your favourite for breakfast."
"You all right?" he asked, watching her wince as she bent down to tug on her knickers.
"Yeah, just… my back still hurts."
Twenty minutes later, Harry found his wife and family in the kitchen with a birthday feast of waffles, eggs, and bacon set out before him. James called him old again and slapped his shoulder as Albus and Lily pushed his present towards him. Everett and Ella were grinning widely at him and Genevieve was beaming from his lap.
Harry carefully opened his gift and when he pulled out the large shadow box, he felt his eyes fill in sudden tears. In the centre was a photo of Harry at the age of thirteen. He was standing in front of the big yellow farmhouse in Georgia, USA and standing next to him was a smiling Colt, his arm draped over his shoulders and a big white cowboy hat perched on his head.
Surrounding the photo were various photos of Colt with Harry through the years from Christmas photos, to Colt holding all six of the Potter kids. His police badge from the Tococca Police Department was in the bottom left and across the top it read Colten Raleigh Jackson, 1921-2020.
"We know how much you loved Grandpa," James said. "So we wanted to make you a happy memory that we could put somewhere."
"It was my idea to add his police badge," Albus said. "And Lily came up with the idea to add photos of him with all of us. Do you like it, Dad?"
Harry blinked back tears. "I love it, Alby. Thank you. Thank you all so much!"
Losing Colt had been harder than Harry had expected. He'd passed a month after the Christmas holiday, just passed in his sleep at the age of ninety-nine. Harry knew that he'd had a good life and that going in your sleep was the best anyone could ask for, but they'd all still been heartbroken to lose him so suddenly. Zee had cried for days, clinging to Flo and to Sorcha. The funeral had been hard to sit through, but Harry knew that Colt had lived a good life.
Flo was still living in Zee's old cottage where Sirius and Zee kept a constant eye on her, but at ninety-six, she was doing well. She'd cried in happiness when Leo and Aydin gave her a great-great-grandson in March, barely a month and a half after Colt had passed and told her his name was Colten Raleigh Black. Zee burst into tears the moment Leo told her his name.
"It's perfect, thank you," Harry said, hugging each of his kids.
James jumped up to get more juice and grabbed Ginny half a second before she fell. "Bloody hell, Mum!"
"Ow, ow, ow!" Ginny exclaimed, reaching around to grab her back.
Harry was on his feet in a second. "Gin?"
Ginny bit her lip and shook her head.
Harry didn't wait for confirmation. He scooped her up into his arms bridal style. "Jamie, get a hold of Padma and tell her to get over here. Alby, can you get some fresh blankets and sheets. Lily, go upstairs to our room and turn down the bed. Ev, can you get a pitcher of water and a glass full of ice? Ella, go upstairs with your sister and find your mum a nightgown and Evie, darling, stay down here with Jamie to let Padma in."
Then he turned and carried his wife up the stairs.
By the time Padma arrived, Ginny was settled in their bed on fresh sheets and in a long nightgown with the kids all sitting around her. Everett was reading to her from the book in his lap while James and Albus were pacing in front of the balcony doors.
"You are in the beginning stages of labour, Ginny," Padma said as James gasped.
"What does that mean?"
"It means the babies are coming, you tosser," Albus said, rolling his eyes.
James wrinkled his nose. "Oh. Gross."
Albus snorted. "Nice, Jamie."
"Well, the thought of Mum and Dad having more babies is a little mad, isn't it?" James demanded.
Albus nodded. "That's true. They're like old."
"Oi!" Harry exclaimed. "We're not old."
"Daddy, you turned forty today. That's pretty old," Lily replied.
Harry sighed and looked at Padma. "See what we have to put up with."
Padma chuckled. "Yes, I see. Now, I know you're early, but as you remember from Everett and Ella, twins usually do come a bit early. Ginny's already dilated five and half centimetres which makes me think you might have been in labour the last few days. Has your back been bothering you?"
"Yes," Ginny admitted. "Lots of twinges, but it didn't seem too bad."
"These babies are definitely coming today," Padma told her. "But it will still be a few hours yet. Harry, why don't you and the kids keep Ginny comfortable and occupied and I'm going to run to the clinic to get a few things. I'll be back soon."
Harry nodded and let out a slow breath as he asked James to walk Padma out. Then he went over to kiss Ginny's forehead. "Thirty-five weeks, eh? What happened to the end of August?"
"Looks like they want to surprise you on your birthday."
His eyes widened as he took in her words. "Wow… I didn't even think… you think they'll share my birthday?"
"I think that there's a good chance," Ginny admitted. "It's barely nine in the morning so you might have some birthday buddies."
He grinned. "That might be kind of brilliant."
Fourteen hours later at eleven oh three PM, Henry Remus Potter came into the world and eight minutes later, his identical twin brother Hunter Colten Potter followed. As Harry held a boy in each arm, he stared down at them in awe with his six other children around them.
"Seventeen years ago, on this day, your mum gave me the best birthday present I ever could have received. She told me that she was pregnant with our first baby. I was elated and terrified in equal measure. Now, seventeen years later, Gin, you gave me two more boys on my birthday. I just… I never imagined I could ever be this happy. Thank you."
James rolled his eyes. "Pull yourself together, Dad. It's embarrassing."
Harry chuckled. "You just wait until you have kids, James Potter, and then we'll see how you handle it."
James shrugged. "Pft! I'll ace it. No problem."
Albus snorted. "Definitely won't. He's going to cry like a baby."
"I will not," James insisted. "And if I ever go and have a bazillion kids like Mum and Dad, I wouldn't have another one when my eldest is already sixteen. It's like, I could be old enough to be their dad or something."
"No," Ginny said, her eyes narrowing. "You are not old enough to be their dad."
"Close enough," James said. "Look at Grayson, his parents were only a year older than I am when they had him. You two are totally old."
"But they love each other," Genevieve exclaimed.
"Yes, we do, Evie," Harry said gently passing her Henry to hold.
"I think it's romantic," Lily said, waiting for Harry to pass her Hunter.
James sighed. "I guess."
Everett leaned over Lily's shoulder to look down at Hunter. "Having a two little brothers will be kind of cool."
"Three little brothers for me," Ella corrected. "Trust me, it's way better than two annoying older ones."
"I am a bloody delight," James insisted.
Ella stuck her tongue out at him in response. "You're okay, but Alby's a moody sod."
"Oi!" Albus exclaimed. "Like Ev's a walk in the park!"
"I'm older than Ev."
"By eleven minutes, Ella," Everett complained. "It doesn't count."
"Does too," she insisted. "Can I hold Henry, Daddy?"
Harry carefully took Henry from Genevieve's arms and passed him to his second daughter. "Watch his head."
Lily reluctantly passed Hunter to Everett. "They're so adorable! I can't wait to have babies!"
Harry turned his eyes on his eldest daughter. "You can have babies in twenty years."
"Dad! I'll be thirty-three by then!" Lily complained.
"Exactly. Just in time for your first date," Harry said as James snorted.
Harry moved across the room to put his arm around James. "You know your mum and I didn't plan this, Jamie. Henry and Hunter were a complete surprise to us as much as you were all those years ago."
"Dad, you and mum should really work harder on the contraception charm," James said. "Want me to teach it to you?"
Harry gave him a look and his brown eyes twinkled in mischief. "Shut it, you little brat. Do you want to hold your new brothers or not?"
James grinned and plopped down next to Lily on the bed. "Definitely. But I call dibs on not changing the poopy nappies."
"Ditto!" Albus exclaimed.
Ginny chuckled, reaching for Albus' hand when James held Hunter and Henry in his arms. "What do you think, Alby?"
Albus wrinkled his nose. "I guess they're kinda cute and all."
"So?"
"So, I'm still not changing any poopy nappies," he said, making her laugh.
Ginny kissed her fourteen-year-old-son's cheek with a smile. "We'll see."
Harry leaned down to peck his wife's forehead as he smiled around at the family that surrounded him and thought this was the best birthday he'd ever had.

February 2022…
Bill was still sometimes surprised that he had been happily married to Fleur for twenty-five years, but as they celebrated this milestone together he was grateful for every day that he'd had with her. She still fascinated him every day. He loved watching her mind work and was disappointed when he went a full day at Gringotts without running into his wife. She'd delved deeper into the research aspect of curse-breaking over the last ten years and had published articles in curse-breaking journals detailing her work.
Bill was insanely proud of her.
Their life had been a good one over the years. Sometimes, he still looked at the faded ugly scars on his face, neck, and shoulder and wondered how this breathtaking beauty stayed with him when he was no longer the handsome man he'd once been. But then there would be this moment, where Fleur would touch the side of his face and stare at him with so much love and adoration that he couldn't help but fall madly in love with her all over again.
Fleur's sister Gabrielle was still his wife's favourite person. They were more than just sisters, they were best friends and Bill knew that when Gabrielle had transferred from the French Ministry to the British one after her engagement in '07, his wife had been ecstatic. They talked every day, had lunch together twice a week, and Gabrielle and her family came over for dinner every Friday night. But when she moved back, Bill had been a little more hesitant. It wasn't that he wasn't happy for her to be closer as he knew how much he loved having his brothers and sister close by and he liked Gabrielle. She was honestly incredibly sweet and kind, but it was the fact that even after all these years, he still wasn't overly fond of her husband.
When Gabrielle had first introduced them to her new boyfriend, Bill had actually been shocked. The last person he'd expected to walk through the door on Gabrielle's arm was Blaise Zabini. Bill didn't know him well personally but he certainly knew of him by reputation. He was one of Theo's best friends, someone whom Theo loved as a brother which was all well and good except for the fact that Theo always called him the biggest man-whore known to man.
Bill had gestured for Blaise to follow him outside of Shell Cottage after the initial introduction and he'd shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Gabrielle is one of the most important people in my wife's life," Bill began. "She's more than just her sister, she's her best friend. If you hurt her, I can promise you that you will regret it. I have six brothers who will help me kick your arse if you do."
"Noted," Blaise replied. "But you should know I don't scare easily."
"Pompous prick," Bill muttered.
Blaise smiled. "Takes one to know one."
Bill growled. "How is that someone as sweet as Theo is friends with you?"
"Theo loves me."
"I have no idea why."
Blaise winked. "You'll love me too."
"Doubt it," Bill said, dryly.
But he had to admit that over the years, the man had grown on him. They would never be considered best friends, but Bill had to admit, he kept Gabrielle very happy over the years and was a surprisingly great uncle to his kids. It turned out that Blaise Zabini made a good husband after all, but Bill still thought his sister-in-law could do better — even if it was just on principle.
He and Blaise surprisingly did get along well enough. They always ended up in long discussions about politics and government policy and Bill had to admit, the man was extremely intelligent. The way his face lit up when one of his three daughters called him daddy really showed the unconditional love he had for his family. Maddie, Nicki, and Dani only had to turn their eyes on him and the man was a complete goner. They had their father wrapped around their fingers and they knew it. It turned out that Blaise Zabini was actually kind of a softie. Bill knew that when Blaise set his mind to something or when he cared about someone, he would do whatever he could to help them. He'd proven that during the war after what he'd done for Draco Malfoy, but he still annoyed Bill to no end and the man knew it.
"Gabrielle loves and adores 'im, Bill," Fleur said one night after they'd left. "Zey've been married for ten years. You 'ave to stop growling at 'im."
"I don't growl," Bill insisted.
Fleur chuckled and kissed his cheek. "You do. He worships her."
"Yes, he does," Bill admitted. "Fine, I'll stop growling."
"I thought you didn't growl," Fleur teased.
Bill slapped her bottom and tugged her close. "None of the sass."
Fleur smiled and kissed him and every other thought outside of his wife disappeared from his head.
Their family had grown over the years. After twenty-five years of marriage, they had four beautiful children. Two gorgeous girls who looked more and more like their mother every day and two beautiful boys who were a great mix of both him and Fleur. They were all gorgeous and Bill knew that a lot of that had to do with the fact that they had Veela blood. It was diluted of course, but there was still a strong sense of it and Fleur had warned him that they would have to talk to their kids about it as they grew older. Bill vaguely understood what she meant, but he hadn't really taken it into consideration until Victoire was twelve.
The first time it happened, Bill had taken his girls out for ice cream while Fleur was at the healers for checkups with the boys. Victoire was twelve and Dominique was nine. They were sitting on the little patio outside of Fortescue's when someone whistled and the next thing Bill knew a young man in his early twenties was standing before their table staring at Victoire like he was under a spell.
"Hi," he whispered. "I'm a billionaire."
Bill growled and stood up to his full impressive height, blocking his daughter from the man's view. It was enough to knock him out of his trance and he looked up at Bill in alarm, his eyes wide.
"She's twelve, arsehole. Get the fuck away from us before I call the Aurors."
The young man looked horrified and he ran off as if his arse was on fire, not daring to look back. Bill sat back down and Dominique moved to sit in her father's lap.
"Daddy, why did that man tell Vic that he's a billionaire?"
Bill let out a long breath. He didn't know how to explain it, but for the first time he really understood why Fleur had told him that he'd been a breath of fresh air. His daughter was bloody twelve years old and already her beauty was… bloody hell, he was worried for when she grew up. How would she able to find someone who loved her for her?
"Remember how Maman told you that her grandmother was a Veela?"
"Yes," Dominique said. "Maman said that Veela are very beautiful women and sometimes the power of their beauty overtakes the thoughts and actions of those who see them."
"Exactly," Bill said, grateful that his wife had already explained it. "You girls have a bit of Veela blood in you and even though it's diluted, it's apparently still strong enough to work. Vic is… she's looking more like a little lady and I think it's part of that Veela blood that's rushing to the surface."
"So… he had to act like that?" Dominique asked.
"Sort of," Bill replied. "He… felt compelled to act like that. Some men are strong enough to resist that pull, but others aren't."
"You're strong, Daddy."
Bill kissed the top of his daughter's head. "The strongest ever." Dominique giggled and Bill looked over at his eldest daughter. "Are you all right, Vic?"
Victoire nodded, tossing her strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder in a very Fleur-like gesture. "Oui, Daddy. I'm all right."
"You know that wasn't your fault, right? You did absolutely nothing wrong."
Victoire nodded again. "I know."
But they finished off their ice cream and hurried home, Bill's arms protectively around both of his girls. When he told Fleur, she pursed her lips.
"She must be ready to start her bleeding soon."
Bill frowned. "Fleur!"
"It's a sign, Bill," Fleur told him. "She's turning into a young woman and ze men will start to notice her. We'll have to have a talk with her about being cautious and not going anywhere alone."
Bill's eyes widened. "Do you think she'll be bloody attacked?"
Fleur reached out to touch her husband's arm. "Beauty isn't always a good thing, Bill. She'll be all right. We'll have a long chat."
Bill wasn't assured. When Dominique began to attract the same kind of attention a few years later, he became even more growly. It was why when when he came home from work and found his sixteen-year-old-daughter sitting on the sofa snogging a boy, did he see red; when he realized that boy was none other than Teddy Lupin, part of him was even more annoyed.
"VICTOIRE GABRIELLE WEASLEY!" Bill bellowed.
Teddy had jumped a mile into the air at his booming voice, but Victoire had merely reached for his hand and turned to give Bill a charming, lazy smile.
"Good afternoon, Daddy."
Bill's eyes narrowed. "Where's your mother? There are no boys allowed in this house when we aren't present."
Victoire rolled her eyes. "I'm sixteen, Daddy. I'm not a child."
Bill turned his attention to Teddy who's hair was a deep turquoise blue today, his wide whisky coloured eyes looking a bit uncomfortable. "And you — how long has this been going on?"
"A few months, Sir," Teddy said, his voice coming out a bit stronger at the end.
"Teddy and I are dating, Daddy," Victoire replied with a smile. "Now, if you don't mind, we were busy before you interrupted."
Bill glared at his daughter and the stubborn set to her jaw reminded him so much of his wife that he almost backed down. Victoire had inherited Fleur's beauty. She had the same silvery blonde hair, but hers had a strawberry sheen to it in the light. She'd inherited Bill's bright blue eyes, but otherwise she looked more like Fleur every day.
"Vic, Teddy's going home now and you and I are going to have chat."
"No, Daddy. Mama said that he could come over," Victoire said, her chin out in defiance.
"Bill," Fleur said from the doorway. "Leave zem be."
Bill started to protest but one look from his wife had him clamping his mouth shut just before he saw the smug look on his daughter's face. He let his wife pull him into the kitchen before he opened his mouth again.
"Fleur, she was snogging him!"
"Oui."
"Oui? That's all you can say!"
"Bill, I kissed boys when I was sixteen. You can't tell me you didn't kiss girls, non?"
"That's completely different!" Bill exclaimed, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "She's a child!"
"She's young," Fleur agreed. "But zey're only kissing. I've been in ze kitchen ze whole time. Zey are doing nothing wrong."
Bill scowled before he snuck a look back at the door. "Teddy, huh?"
Fleur nodded. "Oui. They've been dating since ze end of ze year. I think it's sweet."
"He's too old for her."
Fleur rolled her eyes. "He's thirteen months older, Bill. How much older zen me are you again?"
"It's different!" Bill insisted.
Fleur smiled and reached up to pat her husband's cheek. "She'll always be your little girl, but she's growing up. She can kiss as many boys as she likes."
Fleur's words hadn't made him feel any better and despite his overprotective nature and reluctance to accept that she was right, he knew that Teddy was a good kid. Teddy was made Head Boy that year and he and Victoire dated for most of it. They broke up around the Easter holidays and when his daughter called him in tears, he wanted to break every bone in Teddy's body. But he watched his daughter date two other boys in the next few months and neither of them lasted, and when she finished Hogwarts as Head Girl the following year, it was Teddy's arms she ran into when she stepped off of the train. It why when they announced their engagement in 2018, he wasn't that surprised.
Bill walked Victoire down the aisle two years later and passed her hand into Teddy Lupin's with a tearful smile. She was twenty-one when she married and the wedding had been massive and bloody expensive. It seemed Fleur was determined to give them a wedding as grand as Harry and Ginny's had been all those years ago. They had it at Norfolk Manor in June of 2020 and the whole family had been dressed to the nines. His sister had gotten knocked up for the sixth time and had been hugely pregnant with twins in a beautiful flowing light violet gown that had both hid and accentuated her pregnancy. Harry wore all black, but added one of his trademark fancy cloaks in black and the same violet to top it off. He said he had to look every bit the marquess for his godson's wedding. Considering Harry and Ginny were always dressed to impress at least twice a year for yearly wizarding events that splashed their faces all over the papers, Bill wasn't even surprised.
Despite the lavishness of the wedding — which don't even get him started on his daughter's wedding dress (white as snow and a ballgown made of satin that had cost more than any dress ever should cost) — when Bill watched his daughter walk towards him in her wedding dress; he knew that it was worth every knut and sickle. Especially because when Teddy's whisky eyes saw her walking towards him on Bill's arm, the way he lit up… yeah, they were madly in love and really, nothing else mattered.
It just might have taken Bill a bit to admit it.
Victoire had decided that she wanted to follow in her Auntie Elle's footsteps and had become an advocatus. Unlike her aunt, who worked for the Ministry of Magic's International Confederation of Wizards with her husband Blaise, Victoire decided to work in family law and was hired on at Smith and Davis Magical Law in Diagon Alley where she worked under a man named Franklin M Smith. She loved the work and she claimed that while it was hard work, she enjoyed every second of it.
Teddy Lupin had gone a different route. He'd picked up odd jobs after finishing up at Hogwarts from waiting tables, to small writing jobs for the Daily Prophet until six months after they married, his book sold big. Now, his son-in-law was a published and best-selling author. His first book, Clan of the Wolf, had gone almost unnoticed for six months and then suddenly, it was everywhere. The series followed the adventures of a man named Romulus who was bitten by a werewolf on his seventeenth birthday. After he finds himself in a world he's never before imagined. It was full of adventure, horror, mystery, and surprisingly some romance (a little steamier than Bill had expected) and it was really damn good.
He'd released his second book last year, Wolfish Relations, and now at the age of twenty-four was a published author. Bill knew that Remus and Tonks were insanely proud of him though Remus liked to joke that Teddy could have found a better subject to write about than the adventures of a werewolf and his three friends.
Bill didn't know for sure, but he rather got the impression that the group of Romulus' close friends all resembled the Marauders. The shape-shifting stag was named Jake, the astronomer who raised and trained dogs was named Star, the librarian was named Calla, and the woman Romulus fell for in the first book was a trained assassin named Medea. They were surprisingly hard to put down.
Teddy and Victoire were renting a flat in Manchester and doing very well for themselves in their jobs, but when they came over for dinner a few months back and declared that they had an announcement, Bill was still shocked.
"We're pregnant," Victoire said, holding Teddy's hand over her stomach.
"Oh!" Fleur exclaimed, jumping to her feet and hurrying around to hug her daughter as she blabbered in rapid French, tears in her eyes.
Bill just stood there with his mouth gaping open.
"All right over there, Bill?" Teddy asked, chewing on the side of his lip.
"Pregnant?" Bill repeated, his eyes widening.
"Oui, Daddy," Victoire said, a wide smile on her face. "Be happy for us."
"I… bloody hell, Vic! Of course I'm happy! I can't believe my baby girl is going to have a baby!"
Victoire beamed at him and threw herself into his arms. He hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek. "We were going to wait another year or two, but this one decided to make an early appearance."
Teddy grinned when Bill pulled him close for a hug. "We're thrilled and terrified."
Bill chuckled. "A perfectly normal reaction from what I recall."
Tristian wrinkled his nose. "A baby? Really?"
"Yeah, Uncle Trist," Dominique teased, throwing a roll at her brother. "Can you handle that?"
"Uncle… wow," Tristian exclaimed, his eyes widening. "I guess that's kind of cool."
Victoire ruffled her youngest brother's hair with a grin. "It's very cool."
"We had to tell my parents first," Teddy said as Bill turned to him. "Dad has an unparalleled sense of smell and we couldn't exactly hide it from him."
"Like at all," Victoire laughed. "Uncle Harry told us that he had to ask Remus to keep it a secret for all eight of their kids."
"Mum and Dad are really happy though," Teddy continued. "We'll share the news with everyone else at the dinner on Sunday at the Burrow."
Bill nodded, a big smile on his face. "That sounds like a great idea. Your grandmother is going to be thrilled."
Molly Weasley was already the proud great-grandmother of one and Bill knew the news of another on the way would only thrill her even more; the woman was insatiable for babies.
Fleur, Victoire, and Dominique immediately began to chat about all things baby and Bill leaned back in his seat and just watched his daughter in awe. Sometimes he had no idea when she'd grown up on him.
When all of his kids had grown up on him.
When it came to his boys, it was different and very much not. Bill was just as protective over them, but like all irrational fathers, tended to not be as overprotective as he was with their daughters when it came to relationships. As Fleur explained, men with Veela blood were extremely rare and it often caused a lot of the same compelling nature as it did in females. Louis was fourteen the first time it happened. He used the mirror to call his dad, worried because the girl he'd been snogging was acting strange.
"She's all dreamy-like, Dad," Louis said, his eyes wide. "It's like she's drugged or something and I don't know how to snap her out of it. No, Tasha, stop trying to kiss me… bloody hell!"
The flush of his son's cheeks had Bill thinking that this Tasha had made a reach for him below the belt.
"Louis, you have to get her back to the common room and to a friend. Something you did must have made her susceptible to the Veela blood. She's not in her right mind and what do I always say about consent?"
"There's nothing more important, I know, Dad."
Tasha had been snapped out of it when her best friend slapped her cheek, but she'd then been too embarrassed to talk to Louis again. Bill knew that his boys were going to have to be careful with how they acted in intimate situations and it wasn't going to be easy. Fleur told them that when they found the right person, it wouldn't be an issue and Bill hoped that his wife was right.
But he still felt obligated to take them both aside when they were home for Christmas two months earlier.
"Listen, I want to talk about the importance of consent again."
Louis rolled his eyes. "Dad, we know."
"I know you know," Bill said. "But after what happened with Tasha, I think it's important that you both really understand that this might happen and you might be in the middle of something and it might be hard to erm, stop."
"Did you just make an erection joke?" Louis asked, his eyes twinkling. "Trist, Dad made an erection joke! I'm proud and appalled at the same time."
Tristian snorted. "Dad doesn't make jokes."
"I can make jokes," Bill said defensively. "But this isn't a joking manner. Veela blood has a powerful component that as Louis noticed can change someone's mind in a moment. When you and your partner start getting serious together, I think you need to come up with a plan in case this happens."
"What, like a safe word?" Louis taunted.
"Yeah, exactly like a safe word," Bill said. "Something that you can both know so that if you're worried that maybe your partner is not acting like themselves and has maybe fallen under your compelling beauty, you'll know there's not real consent there."
Tristian frowned. "You're serious."
"Deadly," Bill said. "I want you two to be able to go out and enjoy yourselves. Snog girls. Or boys or whomever strikes your fancy, but do it with the very sexy and important consent involved."
Louis batted his long lashes. "I can't help it if I'm beautiful, Dad."
Tristian rolled his eyes. "My arse is nicer than your face, dude."
"Bullshit!"
Bill cleared his throat. "Boys."
Louis turned his blue eyes on his father. "We've got it, Dad. I know this is serious and after Tasha… Trist and I both know. Besides, Trist doesn't even like snogging yet."
"No. Snogging looks gross," Tristian said, wrinkling his nose. "It's just slobbering all over someone else. No thanks."
Louis winked. "I used to think that once too."
Bill knew that while Louis' hormones were much more pronounced, Tristian was only twelve and hadn't quite reached the level of being interested in any of it yet. However, Bill wanted both of his sons to understand, even if he had to take Tristian aside again in a few more years.
"All right," Bill said. "And you can call and talk to me any time you need to or ask me anything. All right?"
"I'd rather ask Uncle Charlie," Louis said. "He has way more detailed stories."
"Do not ask Uncle Charlie," Bill growled, wondering what kind of things his pansexual brother was putting into his son's heads.
Louis grinned. "Too late."
He and Tristian high-fived before hurrying off and Bill shook his head, proud of his sons and yet slightly worried. But he knew that he'd gotten through to them about the importance of what he said.
Now, two months later, it was early February and his eldest daughter was due any day and they were all waiting rather impatiently for news.
Dominique skipped into the kitchen, tearing him away from his thoughts as she helped herself to a yogurt. His second daughter was twenty and just as as stunning as her mother and sister, if not more so. She wore her hair to her shoulders and it was a deeper red than her sister's. She had Bill's blue eyes and her mother's sharp cheekbones.
Dominique Rose Weasley had also gone into writing. She was a reporter for the Daily Prophet, but on the side, wrote contemporary romance books under the pen name DR William. He had read the first one because it was his daughter's work and he was proud of her, but knowing his daughter had written something so steamy also made him a little uncomfortable if he was honest. But he couldn't deny that she had talent. She'd only published one novel so far, titled The Grumpy Author, which was about a grumpy romance author and his annoying new neighbour who was a baker. It was funny and cute and downright steamy. She was working on her second book now and loved every second of it. The fact that she was moving into her own flat next month made him a little sad. Two kids gone from the nest and he swore they'd only been born yesterday.
Thankfully, they still had the boys home a bit longer. Louis was the first of their kids to be sorted into Slytherin house, but definitely not the first Weasley of this generation. He was smart as a whip; cunning and had a sharp mouth. His hair was a bright silvery blonde and his eyes were so blue that they were almost violet. He had a sprinkling of freckles across his nose and a wide mouth that was usually smirking. He would be fifteen next month and was currently in his fourth year at Hogwarts. He was the first of his kids not to make prefect. Bill wasn't disappointed in that, he knew his kids and he knew that making Louis a prefect would not have been a good call. Louis was a bit wild and he was always getting owls sent home from Hagrid who had taken over as Head of Slytherin House after Slughorn retired in '99. Louis William Weasley was still on the fence about what he wanted to do when he grew up, but as he constantly told Bill when he asked.
"Dad, that's forever away!"
He had lots of time.
Lastly there was Tristian who would be thirteen in July and was in his second year at Hogwarts. Tristian Rainier Weasley was probably the quietest of his kids. He liked to read, he liked to work on puzzles, and when he needed a break from people, he wasn't afraid to let them know. Since the Weasleys were a lot of people, Bill could understand. Tristian had a sandy blond hair with a hint of strawberry in the sunlight and unlike his other three kids, Tristian's hair was completely curly, much to his dismay. He had inherited the long Weasley nose and wore bright blue square-cut glasses, but looked so much like Fleur it sometimes surprised Bill to see it. Sometimes he looked at his youngest son and wondered where life was going to take him, but what he did know was that he was incredibly proud of all four of his kids.
Fleur came downstairs, holding up the communication mirror as she smiled warmly at him. "Zat was Victoire. She says ze baby is on its way."
"Wow! I get to be auntie!" Dominique exclaimed, her eyes wide in excitement.
Bill put his arm around his wife and then around his daughter. "But I get to be a grandpa and I don't know how I feel about that one yet."
Dominique laughed and slapped a hand to her father's chest. "That's because you're old, Dad."
Bill scoffed. "I'm not old! I'm only going to be fifty-one!"
"Fifty-two in November, Dad," Dominique teased, making him scowl.
Fleur kissed her husband's cheek with a smile and brushed his long red hair behind his ear. Even after all these years, he still kept it brushing the top of his shoulders or pulled back into a low plait, the dragon fang in his ear. It had a bit of white streaked through it, but not much.
"Come on, Papa, let's go meet our grandson."
It still surprised him to hear those words. Teddy and Victoire had been way too excited to wait and had told them all that they were expecting a boy the moment they found out. Bill gathered up Louis, Tristian, and Dominique and the five of them headed to the small flat that Victoire and Teddy lived in which was overtop a bookshop in Apricity Lane. They were met by Remus, Tonks, Harry, and Ginny at the door.
"Hey, Bill, come on in," Harry said, gesturing him forward.
Fleur headed into the bedroom to be with her daughter while Bill, Dominque, Louis, and Tristian moved to sit with Harry, Ginny, Remus, and Tonks. A few hours later, Fleur came out with a wide teary smile.
"Want to meet our grandson?"
Bill jumped up and headed to the bedroom in excitement. He caught sight of his eldest daughter sitting up in the bed with a tiny bundle in a green blanket in her arms and his heart softened.
"Hi, Daddy," she said with a bright smile. "Come meet your grandson."
Bill stepped towards her, his eyes on the baby in her arms. Teddy was sitting next to her on the bed, a delighted and sappy smile on his face. Even at twenty-four, his hair was still a bright turquoise blue, but the light brown stubble on his face and his whisky coloured eyes made him look strikingly like his father despite the brightly coloured hair.
Teddy carefully passed the baby into Bill's arms with a smile. "Bill, I'd like for you to meet Liam Remus Lupin. Liam, this is your Papa."
"Liam?" Bill whispered.
Victoire rested her head on Teddy's shoulder with a soft smile. "Yeah, he's named after you and Remus, the two best dads in the whole world."
Remus made a strangled sound in the back of his throat from behind Bill and Tonks wrapped her arms around her husband. "Teddy…"
Teddy grinned at his dad. "You can hold him after Bill gets the chance, Moopa."
Remus rolled his eyes. "Come on! I get to be Grandpa now, right?"
Harry nudged Remus' shoulder with a smile. "No way. Teddy and I already agreed, Uncle Rem. You're Moopa and Mooma for life."
Tonks sighed and stood on her toes to peck Remus' cheek. "You know what, that's perfectly us."
Bill passed his grandson to Fleur who cooed at the baby with a bright smile. "And this is your Mémé," Bill said as Liam stared up at them with surprisingly wide eyes.
"Can I hold him?" Dominique asked.
"He'll make his way around to you, Auntie Dom," Victoire assured her as Fleur reluctantly passed him to Remus.
"I think Gin and I are next," Harry said, winking at his godson.
Louis sighed. "He's cute and all, but babies are nothing new around here."
Tristian wrinkled his nose. "Tell me about it."
"Yeah, but this time around, you're uncles!" Dominique exclaimed.
Louis shrugged. "I guess that's kind of cool."
"There's something else, Daddy," Victoire said, making Bill look up at his daughter.
"What's that?" Bill asked.
Teddy reached for his wife's hand. "Well, we've been talking about how this tiny flat isn't really the best place to start a family, especially once Liam starts walking. We wanted to find a house to make our own and a place that will be great for me to have the space I need to write and to raise our family."
"We had dinner with Gamma the other day and she wants to sell us the Burrow," Victoire said.
Bill's eyes widened in surprise. "She what?"
"Wow," Ginny whispered, her eyes meeting her big brother's.
"It's more than big enough," Teddy continued. "We could fix it up a bit, but keep it the same, you know? And this way it would stay in the family, more or less."
"But we told Gamma that we'd only accept it if everyone agreed," Victoire replied. "Gamma said that giving it to the eldest child of her eldest child seemed right."
Ginny walked across the room and kissed Victoire's cheek. "I can't imagine two people better suited to it. The Burrow deserves to have a new family starting out there again."
Victoire smiled. "Really, Auntie Ginny?"
"Absolutely," Ginny said. "I know your father agrees with me."
"I love it," Bill admitted. "I've always wondered what would happen to the place if Mum ever decided to move out or sell it and… this is perfect. I think you should take it."
"I'll run it past Ron and the others," Harry said. "But everyone's going to be on board."
Teddy kissed Victoire softly before they smiled out at their family. "All right. I guess we're buying a house."
Tonks passed Liam into Harry's arms to hold and Fleur wrapped her arms around her husband. "Where did ze time go?"
"I don't know," Bill whispered into her hair. "But I wouldn't change a second of it."
~ KE: Other Epilogues ~
August 2025…
Dean scratched the ears of their big Saint Bernard. He'd been with them five years now and despite his initial protests over Seamus picking the biggest dog ever, he loved Pan. He was a good dog and Dean got a kick out of how he slept under his work station or near the window when he was working.
Art had always been his dream and while Dean never had a vibe to go out and create things out of nothing, he loved working as a guide to help others add more to their own art. He illustrated children's books and covers of novels, he did portraits, and twice a week he ran an art class at Little Hogwarts which he surprisingly loved. It made him happy and coming home to his best friend and the man he loved was enough for him.
Seamus was a lieutenant in the fire broomgade now and actually ran his own rescue squad. He loved it. He loved doing it every day and despite most shifts being boring as nothing much happened, he still enjoyed the day to day care of the fire station. He even did a volunteer fire broomgade day every two months for anyone who wanted to come see what was going on (usually kids) but sometimes an older girl or boy who showed an interest.
Sometimes it still boggled Dean's mind that they'd been together all this time. They had their ups and downs and sometimes arguments turned quickly, but they didn't let things fester; they talked it out and it worked for them. They talked about the marriage thing, but it wasn't something they felt they needed. They were happy as they were and that's what mattered most.
Even after being with Seamus for almost thirty years, Dean still couldn't define his sexuality. He hated when people asked him if he ever wanted to stop being gay like it was an option he could switch off and on. He also didn't like the word gay. It worked for Seamus and it fit him, but Dean didn't know what he was, but he knew that he wasn't gay.
To this day, Seamus was the only man he'd ever been truly attracted to. He found other men good looking in that way of thinking oh that jacket makes him look good, but never anything more. He'd never felt that pull of lust towards another man that he felt for Seamus. But women, he'd always been attracted to them. He loved their shape and their laugh and their smiles. He still lusted after the occasional witch and the best part about being in a relationship with his best friend was that when he told him about the witch who drew his eye, Seamus would laugh and ask for more details and then they'd shag and Dean would forget all about the witch he saw. If he could be Seamus-sexual that's what he was, but he didn't know how to describe it. Seamus just made him blissfully happy.
They'd bought the place in Brighton eight years ago when their landlord wanted to sell and Dean loved their little home. He loved Pan and his life and despite his mother's begging for kids, neither Dean or Seamus had gone in that direction. They'd talked about it, especially after all of their friends started popping out kids left and right. They sat down and had the talk and agreed to do it again in ten years. But ten years later, they were still relatively in the same place.
Now, they were both in their mid forties and happy to just have each other and their dog. Dean loved spending time with their friends' kids. He loved buying them gifts and even occasionally babysitting if they needed it, but his favourite part, was going home to his kid-free house at the end of the day.
He looked up at the knock on the door and gave Seamus' sister Darcy a smile. "Darcy, hi."
"Hi, Dean," Darcy said, slipping past him into the house. "I know Seamus is on shift, but I need a huge favour."
Dean frowned, carefully looking at her for any signs of distress before his eyes met hers. "What's going on? You all right? Is Penny and Norah all right?"
"Penny's fine, but Norah…" Darcy let out a huge breath. "She's pregnant."
Dean's eyebrow rose. "Pregnant?"
Darcy nodded. "And yes it's from the same little shit that she swore she was done with. Edward Crabbe."
Dean frowned. "He's way too bloody old for her."
"Well, she's pregnant now," Darcy said. "Dean… he did a real number on her. Her mind isn't where it should be and… Merlin, I hate to ask, but can you and Seamus just give her a place to stay for a while. I don't want her near the house in case he comes looking."
"Oh, Darce, of course. She can stay as long as she needs," Dean said. "I'll set up the spare bedroom.
Darcy nodded, letting out a sigh of relief. "Thank you. She's four months along and she only just realized… she's been under a lot of stress and he's been stalking her."
"Stalking her? Bloody hell, Darcy! You left that shit out!"
She nodded, pushing her long blonde hair behind her ear. "She met someone new about a month ago. A really sweet bloke. He's a baker, makes the most wonderful little sweets and cakes and he makes her smile and… then this happened and I just need her to get away from him."
"Does she know?"
"Yes," Darcy said. "I told her that I would ask her uncles and she said that she would come."
"All right," Dean said. "Tell her to come over whenever she can then. I'll fill Seamus in later. We'd be happy to have her."
"Thank you," Darcy said, hugging him tightly.
Dean watched her hurry off before he headed upstairs to their spare room and worked to put fresh sheets on the bed. Darcy Finnigan was the middle sister of the Finnigan family and she took over her father's Irish pub Paddy's when he retired. It was open to Muggle and magical alike and she loved it. Dean and Seamus popped by once a month for dinner and to see her. Darcy's ex-boyfriend Jonathan Pepper had given her Norah and while the two of them came to realize that they were never meant to be together, they were happy to raise their daughter in joint custody. Darcy asked Seamus and Dean to be her godparents and Dean had never been more honoured. Especially because Seamus' other older sister, Katie, lived in America with her husband Jason and their daughter Saoirse so Seamus and Dean didn't see them more than once or twice a year. When Darcy fell in love with Penelope Clearwater and married her in '08, Penelope became a legal guardian and parent to Norah as well. Now Norah was four months shy of her twentieth birthday and pregnant from a man she'd started dating her last year at Hogwarts who was seven years older than her and seemed to be nothing but trouble.
Dean was definitely going to do anything to help his goddaughter in anyway she needed.
When Norah showed up thirty minutes later, she threw her arms around him and burst into tears. She looked very much like Darcy, the same long blonde hair, and soft green-blue eyes. But her sweet smile and her slightly chubby cheeks always reminded Dean of Seamus and it made him a little more soft on her because of it.
Dean wrapped her up tightly in his arms and kissed her brow. "Now, none of that, sweetheart. Uncle Seam and I will take care of everything. Promise."
Norah sniffled, her big green-blue eyes so like her uncle's covered in blonde lashes as she stared up at Dean. "Mum's furious. Edward keeps trying to talk to me and Jake is the best thing… I don't know what to do, Uncle Dean!"
Dean led her into the living room to sit down and pulled her feet into his lap. "How about we start from the beginning?"
Twenty minutes later he learned all about how Norah had met Edward Crabbe when he was working in Hogsmeade at one of the shops after Christmas of her last year at Hogwarts. They started dating as he was sweet and made her laugh, but after she left Hogwarts, he changed. He pressured her for more and she wasn't ready and when she said no and broke things off with him, he started following her.
"He never hurt me, Uncle Dean. Everything we did was consensual, I swear," Norah said, hiccuping from her tears. "Mum just doesn't like him and she thinks he's bad news, but he's not. Uncle Dean… we only did it once and… a week later I knew we weren't good together and I broke up with him. He was so upset, Uncle Dean! He said that he loves me and I don't love him back and I don't know how to tell him that without hurting him and then he kept trying to talk to me and… we finally worked it all out and we were both doing well and he moved on and I was happy and I met Jake and then… Jake is like the sweetest man ever, Uncle Dean! He only just finished Hogwarts so he's two years younger than me, but he loves to bake and he makes me smile and when I flirt with him he blushes and it's so adorable."
Dean smiled. "He sounds like a nice bloke."
"He is," Norah said through her tears. "But when I found out that I was pregnant I thought I had to tell Edward because he deserves to know and I don't know how to tell Jake as he's only eighteen and there's no way that he'll want to be in a relationship with some nutter who got herself up the duff before she's twenty!"
"All right," Dean said, rubbing her feet. "Take a big breath, sweetheart. Now, what did Edward say when you told him?"
"He says that he wants to be a father. He never knew his dad because he was sent to Azkaban when he was a baby and he says that he wants the chance to be a dad. He said that we should get married."
"And you don't want to marry him?"
Tears welled up in Norah's eyes. "No. He's… he's too intense for me, Uncle Dean. He's not a bad bloke. He can even be sweet, but… we don't work together."
"All right and the baby?"
Norah placed her hand over the tiny bump that was barely noticeable under her shirt. "I… I think I want to keep it. Mum says that's mad and —"
"Let's ignore what your mum thinks right now," Dean interrupted. "This is about you, Norah. You're going to be twenty in September. If you're four months along now, that means this baby is coming in January. I think you know that you're too far along now to do anything other than have the baby, right?"
Norah nodded. "I could never, Uncle Dean."
"Okay," he said, reaching for her hands. "So let's talk about the options. One, you can have this baby and raise him or her by yourself with absolute support from me and Uncle Seamus, your mums, and your dad. Two, you can have this baby and choose to give him or her up for adoption to a struggling couple who want to start their own family. Three, you can have this baby and give him or her to Edward to raise if that's what he wants."
Norah swallowed, tears in her eyes. "I was saving up to take that Europe trip and I feel like my life is over."
"It's not over," Dean promised. "It's just going in another direction. You'll still go on that trip, Norah, just maybe not when you planned on it."
"Do you think that there's an option in there where Jake will still want to date me?"
Dean smiled. "I think you have to talk to him and find out."
Norah kissed his cheek and hugged him tightly. Dean got up to make her some tea and by the time Seamus came home around eleven, she was fast asleep in the guest room.
Seamus gave him a look when he put his finger to his lips and shushed him. Then Dean, gestured for Seamus to follow him out into the garden. Seamus took a seat on the bench out there and waited for Dean to join him.
"What's going on? Why do I have to be quiet in my own house?"
"Norah's asleep in the guest room," Dean said. "She's going to be staying with us for a few days, maybe longer."
"Norah? Why?"
Dean quickly explained everything and Seamus' eyes darkened. "He knocked her up! She's marrying him!"
"Seamus, don't be an arsehole!" Dean exclaimed, grabbing his boyfriend's hand. "She doesn't love him."
"She loved him enough to get knocked up!"
Dean rolled his eyes. "You're the last man on earth I ever imagined would use that as a reason to be with someone."
Seamus wrinkled his nose. "I don't mean… bloody hell, this is a clusterfuck! Why did Darcy send her here?"
"Change of scenery," Dean said. "Plus, I think Darcy wants her to give the baby up for adoption and I don't think Norah's leaning that way."
"She wants to keep it?"
Dean shrugged. "She doesn't know yet."
Seamus rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder as they listened to the sounds of cars passing by late in the night before he spoke. "If she decides not to keep it, maybe we could…"
Dean jumped up off of the bench, his eyes wide and his heart racing. "You want to adopt it?"
"It's not an it, it's a baby," Seamus corrected. "And I'm just throwing it out there. If Norah's on the fence about the adoption thing, maybe giving the baby to someone she knows could help."
"Do you want a baby?" Dean asked, staring at his boyfriend in shock.
"No," Seamus admitted. "I mean, well… sometimes I think it would be cool to be a dad, but generally, like a concept."
"A concept is very different from having an actual baby, Seam."
"True," Seamus said. "Do you want a baby?"
Dean closed his eyes. "I love kids. I do, but being a dad is a full time job that I have never applied for."
Seamus chuckled and reached for his boyfriend's hand. "Good because I kind of spoke before I thought about it and… I'm so not ready for that."
Dean opened one eye. "You're not just saying that because I said I don't want it."
"No," Seamus promised. "I just want to help Norah."
"And we will," Dean promised, sitting back down next to his boyfriend. "Whatever she needs."
"But definitely not by adopting her baby."
Dean tugged Seamus up into his lap, framing his face with his dark hands. "Babe, seriously, do you want to have kids?"
"No," Seamus said, leaning in to suck on Dean's plump bottom lip. "No. Not even a little tiny bit, no. I love our life. You know that I think Harry and Ginny are bloody bonkers for having Henry and Hunter on Harry's fortieth birthday. There's no way we're starting that shit when we're pushing fifty. And no, Dean, I don't regret not having kids. Being an uncle is more than enough for me. Being Norah's godfather is more than enough for me. I get to be the fun one, the supportive one, and then I get to send them home."
Dean chuckled and kissed his boyfriend's forehead. "Yeah, that part's kind of fun. You know, if Norah goes through with this and keeps the baby, we're going to be great-uncles."
"Fuck off!" Seamus exclaimed. "We're not that old!"
"We are," Dean said.
"Great bloody uncles," Seamus muttered. "Bollocks! Pull out your cock. I'll suck it so good you'll forget your old."
Dean laughed. "You'll do that anyway."
He leaned in and captured Seamus' mouth for a long kiss, enjoying every taste as Seamus pressed himself against him. Even after all these years, that spark they first felt as fumbling tweens exploring each other's bodies was still there. It had festered into so much more and one kiss brought it all back again.
"Let's go inside," Seamus said, kissing the side of Dean's throat. "Now I'm thinking about sucking you off."
Dean grinned and nipped at his boyfriend's mouth. "You will absolutely do that and then I'm going to ride that fat cock of yours until you're begging to come."
Seamus wiggled his eyebrows. "Who said you get to bottom tonight?"
"Me," Dean said, slapping his boyfriend's arse. "Now hurry up and get upstairs. I want you naked and spread out on the bed."
Seamus grinned and stole another kiss. "Fine. But you better hurry your arse up if you want me inside of it."
Dean watched his boyfriend head into the house with a smile and yeah, their life was good and in another thirty-ish years, he knew that he would be just as madly in love with him as he was now.
Seamus-sexual was definitely a thing, he was coining it.
He whistled as he headed into the house to lock up, a smile on his face.

March 2026…
Norah decided to keep the baby and much to Seamus and Dean's surprise, she moved in with them for the foreseeable future. Darcy and Penny were supportive of their daughter's decision, but Norah claimed that they were still not happy with her wanting to give Edward a chance to be a dad. So when Dean offered to let her move in with them, she'd jumped at the opportunity.
Now Dean was sitting in their living room, holding a three-month-old-baby-girl in his arms and smiling down at her in awe. Norah was buttoning up her blouse and Dean had offered to watch his great-niece so that her mum could take a shower.
Deanna Shay Finnigan was the most beautiful little girl in the world (not that Dean was at all biased) and he stared down into her light blue eyes with a big smile. When Norah told them she was naming her daughter after them, Dean and Seamus had both been completely shocked and honoured.
Despite Darcy's worries about her daughter, Norah was actually doing great. She and Edward had come to an understanding and they had joint custody of the little girl. Crabbe was completely smitten with his little girl and the look of pure adoration on his face when he came over to visit or to pick her up was well worth it. Dean knew that despite their rocky start, Edward Crabbe was going to be a good dad.
As to Jake, it turned out that he was a tad smitten with Norah and didn't care at all that she was having a baby. Jake the baker turned out to the eldest son of Neville and Hannah and Dean was surprised when he opened his front door and saw him standing there.
"Jake!"
"Hi, Uncle Dean," Jake said with a soft smile. "Is Norah here?"
Dean, flabbergasted that his niece was dating his friend's son, stepped back to let him in. Now, it had been over six months and the two were closer than ever. Edward even liked him and the three of them had all become close friends in a way that Dean hadn't predicted.
He placed a soft kiss on Deanna's forehead just as Seamus came through the front door dressed in his work kit.
"Are you smitten?" Seamus teased, stepping out of his boots.
"Are you?" Dean shot back, laughing when Seamus made a gimme motion and he passed their great-niece over to his boyfriend's arms. Seamus often worked the night shift and loved coming home in the morning to baby snuggles.
"Completely," Seamus said. "Hi, beautiful Deanna."
Dean's heart melted at the sight before him. Seamus was so good with kids it almost made Dean regret not having them, but at the end of the day when it was just the two of them tucked into bed, listening to Norah soothe the baby, he was glad they didn't.
Seamus plopped himself into Dean's lap, Deanna still in his arms. "So, Norah has a date with Jake tonight and Edward's taking Deanna for the weekend."
"That's the plan," Dean said.
"Which means," Seamus said, turning to meet his gaze with a crooked grin. "We're going to have the house to ourselves for the night for the first time in forever."
"What if I have to work?"
"You are not working tonight," Seamus growled. "You're going to shag my brains out and I'm going to be as loud as I fucking want because the house will be just ours."
Dean's lips curved. "I do love it when you're loud."
"Mmm, I want you to keep your palm flat on my spine and hold me down while you take me," Seamus whispered. "I want to feel it for a week."
Dean stole a quick kiss. "That sounds like a pretty good plan."
"And," Seamus continued. "I'm going to suck you off until you're nice and wet first."
Dean felt his cock grow under Seamus' arse and he bit his bottom lip. "That's hours away yet. Stop it."
Seamus grinned and pecked his lips. "Maybe you can join me in the shower before I go to bed and I'll give you a preview of my mouth."
Dean growled. "You are a fucking tease, Seamus Finnigan."
"And you love me."
"Desperately," Dean admitted. "Norah's in the shower right now so if you can hold out, I'll fuck your mouth when it's our turn."
Seamus' eyes darkened. "I love it when you talk dirty to me."
When Norah came downstairs, it was to find her uncles snogging while Seamus held the baby. She cleared her throat and when that didn't stop them, she called out, "Oi!"
Seamus grinned at her. "Sorry, Norah. I missed my man while I was at work."
"You two are adorable, do you know that?"
"We're not adorable," Dean said. "We're grown men."
"And adorable," Norah teased. "I hope one day I find a love like yours."
"You will," Seamus said, standing up and passing her Deanna. "Now, Dean needs to help me with something upstairs before I try to get a few hours of sleep."
Norah rolled her eyes. "Please use a silencing charm this time."
Dean laughed as Seamus tugged him to his feet. "We will. Promise."
Then he let his boyfriend pull him up the stairs and into the bathroom, tugging at his clothes. He did put a silencing charm on the bathroom before he reached for his trousers as Seamus turned on the shower and when he stood under the spray a few moments later, his man on his knees with lust-filled eyes as he sucked him down, Dean knew that his life was everything he'd ever dreamed of and more.
He grabbed a fistful of Seamus' wet hair and pulled him off of his cock. "I really love you, Seamus Finnigan."
Seamus smiled and let his tongue slide out to give him a long lick. "I really love you, Dean Thomas."
Then he took him back down his throat and Dean let his head fall back against the tile in ecstasy, grateful every day that this man had chosen him. When he finished, they dried off and Seamus pulled on pyjama bottoms and crawled into their bed.
Dean, still clad in his towel, walked over to tuck him in. It had become their little habit over the years after Seamus worked a night shift. He'd get into bed and Dean would wrap him up and kiss his forehead.
"Goodnight, babe."
"Goodnight," Seamus said with a smile. "Get your work done because when I wake up, I'm expecting a fucking good rogering."
"A great one," Dean promised, kissing his forehead again.
He used his wand to shut the blinds and then tugged on a pair of jeans and a tee shirt in the corner before closing the bedroom door and leaving his man to get some sleep. He found his niece in the kitchen with his great-niece and gave her a small smile.
"Seamus is sleeping. What do you need me to do?"
"Nothing," Norah said. "Sit down and eat some breakfast. You and Uncle Seam already do way more for me than I ever could have asked for."
"It's our pleasure," Dean said.
And when Norah placed a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of him, he knew that the words were true. Being uncles was everything and having her live here was a surprise he loved having. He knew it wouldn't be forever, but as long as she wanted it, this was her home.
It turned out life could still surprise him, but as long as Seamus was by his side, he knew they'd be all right.

October 2030…
Percy was content with his life. He had a wife he loved, two beautiful daughters, and a very well behaved Cavalier Kings Charles Spaniel with the rather unfortunate name of Princess Sparkles (Lucy named him). He and Audrey had been married for thirty years which he still found to be shocking sometimes, but they worked well together.
Percy had moved up in the Ministry over the years and by the age of thirty-nine had taken over as Head of the Department of International and Domestic Magical Cooperation. He worked tirelessly in the Wizengamot and was even promoted to Chief Warlock. It wasn't minister, but he still had hopes for that one day.
He and Audrey had been through their fair share of ups and downs. The hardest had been the year their youngest Lucy Loo had finally started at Hogwarts. The two of them alone together in their house for the first time since Molly Anna had been born had felt strange and they'd drifted apart. By the time Lucy was in third year, Percy had realized that he didn't even know his wife anymore and the next thing he knew, Audrey had told him she needed a break.
When she moved back in with her parents in 2021, he'd sat in front of the fireplace staring at the flames for hours, not even sure what he wanted to do. When he finally snapped out of it, he did the only thing he could do, he called his big brother and Bill had called everyone else.
"So, what did you do, Perce?" Fred asked. "She finally find you too boring?"
"Fred!" Bill said sharply. "Be an arsehole another time. Perce, what happened? Are you all right?"
"I don't know," Percy admitted, looking around at his brothers. "We've just… drifted apart and I knew that it was a problem, but when she left I… I didn't think it was that bad."
"Do you love her?" Harry asked.
"Yes," Percy said, adjusting his glasses. "I've never stopped and I don't want to lose her."
Ron put his hand on Percy's shoulder. "Sounds like you have to grovel, mate."
"Big time," George said. "On your hands and knees, offer to let her spank you, whatever it takes."
"Haha, spanking," Fred said, high-fiving his twin.
Percy rolled his eyes. "Will you two ever grow up?"
"Never!" They both exclaimed.
"You should suggest talking to a healer," Bill suggested. "Someone who can counsel you through your problems, show her that you want to make this work. Ask Theo, I'm sure he can recommend someone who deals with couples counselling."
"And if she doesn't?" Percy whispered.
Charlie passed him a glass of Scotch. "Then I guess you'll have your answer."
Percy hadn't found any of that reassuring. But he spent the night drinking with his brothers and talking about Audrey and the next day he went to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and asked his wife out on a date.
"Excuse me?" Audrey asked, her eyes shooting up in surprise.
"I asked if you'd like to go on a date with me," Percy repeated.
Audrey blinked at him. "A date."
"Yes," Percy said.
"Percy… I said I needed time."
"I know," he began. "And I respect that, I do, but… I love you, Audrey. I don't want to lose you. I want to fix us. I'll do whatever it takes. I talked to Theo this morning and he recommended a mind healer who specializes in marriage counselling and… please, give me another chance."
Audrey stared at him for a long moment. So long that he thought maybe she was going to send him on his way before she finally spoke.
"Tomorrow. Eight o'clock. The restaurant in Lancashire."
"I'll be there," he promised.
He was ten minutes early and sweating through his shirt when she finally arrived. It was awkward at first as they attempted small talk and when he told her he'd called his brothers the night she left, her eyes softened.
"I didn't mean to hurt you, Percy."
"I didn't mean to hurt you either," he repeated. "I guess it takes some adjusting after we've had the girls around all the time."
"It does," Audrey agreed.
They shared stories about their day and talked a bit about the letters from the girls before they agreed to meet the marriage counsellor the following Friday and go from there.
It had taken work (more than he'd expected) but they'd found their way back to each other. They spoke to a healer who specialized in marriage counselling once a week and did the conversation exercises she recommended. The separation had almost killed him, but knowing that she was willing to try, made all the difference. They made time for each other. They went on dates again, and they even eventually found their way back into the bedroom.
It was also how their eldest daughter accidentally walked in on Audrey paddling Percy's bottom one afternoon while he was handcuffed to the bed when they thought she was still in France.
"Ugh, Mum! Dad! Ew!" Molly Anna screamed, covering her eyes. "What is wrong with you?"
She'd stormed back out of the house in a huff and Percy took one look at his wife and they'd both burst into laughter. If they could still embarrass their twenty-year-old, they thought they were doing all right.
Audrey moved back in the next day and they spent their first night together snogging on the sofa like teenagers and Percy knew it would still take work, but having his wife back meant everything to him. When Teddy and Victoire presented their son Liam at the first family dinner in February of 2022, Percy and Audrey were back together and feeling stronger than ever.
Teddy and Victoire had taken over the Burrow from Molly the following year, surprising all of them at their mother's decision to move. But Molly insisted that the place was too big for little old her to putter around in and now the Burrow was passed down in the family which was nice. Percy thought it going to Teddy and Victoire made the most sense and they were happy there. They took over one of the weekly dinners for the family and Percy loved going over and seeing the little changes they'd made to the house.
The biggest change was that they'd added a small cottage in the back of the house for Molly. His mother had cried when Victoire told them their plan, explaining how as much as they wanted to make the Burrow their home, they could never stay without Gamma close by. Ginny helped her decorate the small cottage which was only three rooms but perfect for her and she settled there very happily in late 2023 and to Percy's horror, invited her boyfriend to move in with her.
Molly had met Roy Henderson at Ginny's magazine in Diagon alley Chasing the Quaffle in 2021. Henderson was a retired Seeker for the Appleby Arrows who retired in 1990 and who Ginny was doing a life time interview with about his career. The man had spent his entire life focused on his career and had two failed marriages and no kids. He remembered Molly from Hogwarts and they decided to get a cup of coffee to catch up.
Nine years later, they were more than officially dating as Roy had moved into the little cottage behind the Burrow with her. Percy had been outraged.
"He shows up and just moves in with her! She's going to be seventy-three years old! He's going to take advantage of her!" Percy exclaimed.
Charlie rolled his eyes. "He's not taking advantage of her, Perce. Dad's been gone for over twenty-five years. She deserves to be happy. Roy makes her happy."
Roy Henderson was tall and lean, with a bit of a paunch that hung over his trousers. His dark grey hair was thinning on the top and he had a loud bark of a laugh, but Percy had to admit, when he looked at Molly, he saw nothing but pure affection there. Roy made her laugh. He was full of wild stories about his Quidditch days and he was charmed by the family.
After living with her for over a year, the grandkids were all calling him Grandpa Roy.
"He's not their grandpa," Percy hissed when he heard Lucy say it. "He's an imposter."
"Percy, do you really want Mum to be alone the rest of her life?" Bill demanded.
"She's not alone! She has all of us!"
"And at the end of the day, she has someone to go home to and share her life with," Bill said. "She's happy."
Now as Percy looked over at where his mother was standing in a dark purple dress with Roy's arm over her shoulders as they came to celebrate his thirty-year-wedding anniversary, he had to admit — she did look happy. She would be turning seventy-nine in a few weeks and Percy thought she looked beautiful. Her red hair was completely white now and she was thinner than she'd been in years, but she had a big smile on her face as Harry bent down to hug her tightly and Percy knew that despite his reservations, Roy was good for her.
Tonight his whole family had come to help them celebrate not only thirty years of marriage but to celebrate Percy and Audrey's youngest daughter's brand new restaurant. Lucy Louisa Weasley, who the family had affectionately nicknamed Lucy Loo, had finally achieved her dream of opening her own restaurant in the ritzy magical town of Luminescent Way. She was twenty-four and had been saving since she was fourteen, determined to open her own place.
She called the restaurant: Ambrosia. The whole place was decorated in dark wood with low lighting and the food was to die for. His little Lucy Loo had become quite the chef, mastering every recipe her grandmother had ever taught her and adding her own twist. Now her restaurant was full of incredible foods with a home-like feel while still feeling incredibly fancy and unique.
Lucy took after Audrey from her slim, tall figure to her warm brown eyes. Her hair was the colour of rich cedar, dark in the evening, and almost red in the dawn's early light. She wore it in a short wavy bob just past her chin and had a dark purple amethyst stud in her nose. She took after her father in the sense that she liked things to be a certain way and as her mother always claimed, could be a bit uptight at times, but cooking relaxed her.
To his dismay, she'd also gotten a tattoo. A whisk and a spatula crossed over her left hip and on her right wrist, she had a rolling pin with the words, Dough it Right. When Percy had mentioned that having tattoos was rather unprofessional, Lucy only rolled her eyes.
"Uncle Charlie and Uncle Harry have tattoos."
Percy's eyes narrowed. "Did one of them take you to get it done?"
"No," Lucy said. "Molly Anna did after Uncle Harry took her."
Percy scowled even more. Molly Anna had gotten her entire back tattooed in a diagonal vine of red flowers. It was beautiful, sure, but Percy hated that even when she wore a vest, he could still see parts of it over her shoulders. That wasn't even including the black compass she had on her right wrist.
His girls having tattoos was one thing that definitely annoyed him as he quite frankly just didn't understand the appeal. When Molly Anna came home with a belly button ring, he'd scowled even more and then Lucy Loo got her nose pierced. He kept his mouth shut, but sometimes he really wondered why his daughters wanted to be so unprofessional looking.
But nothing surprised him more then when he discovered that Lucy's new sous chef was the man she claimed to hate more than anyone else on the planet because he never let her get her way without a fight, one Luca Rossi. The two of them seemed to be at each other's throats day in and day out, but Audrey seemed to think it had an underlining sexual attraction to it.
"She hates him, dear," Percy said, looking at his wife in surprise.
Audrey smiled. "Percy, there's a fine line between hate and lust. You watch."
Percy wasn't so sure that he believed that.
Molly Anna was the one he worried most about. She had a wanderlust spirit like his brother Charlie and ever since she'd finished at Hogwarts, she travelled all around the world as a nature photographer. She'd been to more countries than Percy could even name and he wondered if she was ever going to settle down.
When she walked into Ambrosia for drinks to celebrate her parents' thirty year anniversary that evening, he eyed the young woman next to her curiously. Molly Anna had inherited her father's wavy curls, but unlike her sister, hers was more mousy brown. Since Molly Anna claimed that was the worst colour ever, Percy was pretty sure he hadn't seen his daughter's natural hair colour since she'd been fourteen.
Now, at twenty-nine her hair fell just past her elbows and was a deep coral teal at the top of her head, fading out into a deep silver at the ends. She had silver hoops all around both ears and bright purple glasses covering her blue-green eyes. The woman next to her looked her complete opposite: Short brown hair that was long in the front and short in the back. She gave them a bright smile as she approached.
"Hello, Molly Anna," Percy said, leaning in to peck his daughter's cheek. "I like the hair."
"No you don't," Molly Anna replied, giving her father a cheeky grin. "But you tolerate it because I love it."
Percy's mouth tightened. "I don't dislike it."
Molly Anna chuckled. "Sure you don't. Mum, Dad, I'd like for you to meet Sienna Walker, my girlfriend."
Sienna extended her hand and Percy shook it with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs Weasley."
"And what is it that you do, Sienna?" Percy asked.
Molly Anna rolled her eyes. "I told you that would be his first question."
Sienna chuckled. "I'm a Herbologist. We met while I was doing a study in Rotorua, New Zealand, but I'm based in Auckland."
"You're from New Zealand then?" Percy asked.
"I am," Sienna said with a smile.
"You imbecile!" Lucy shouted from the kitchen, making everyone turn to look towards the open door. "I told you that this was supposed to be made with an apple marinade, not a peach!"
"Why don't you just shut up and try it before you start calling me names, amore?" Luca Rossi shot back, blowing a fringe of wavy dark brown hair out of his eyes.
"Don't call me 'love,' you prat! Why can't you follow simple instructions?"
"Why can't you just try the bloody sauce?"
"If you're not going to take me seriously, you can find yourself a new job, Rossi!" Lucy exclaimed.
Rossi blew her a kiss. "Tell me the peach isn't better first, amore."
"Argh!" Lucy shouted, storming into the bar.
Molly Anna snorted. "I see you and Luca are still getting along like oil and water."
"I hate him," Lucy said vehemently. "If he wasn't such a fucking good chef, I'd kick him to the curb."
"You could just fuck him instead," Sienna suggested making everyone stare at her. "What? That man is hot and you two clearly have some chemistry going on. I think it's obvious that if you just rode his dick, you'd feel better."
"Ew! No. Never. Absolutely not! Over my dead body. Not in a million years. No! No! No! No! No!" Lucy exclaimed.
Molly Anna nudged her sister. "I think doth protest too much there, sis."
Percy cleared his throat. "Well, as enlightening as this conversation is, Lucy Loo, you might want to work on keeping that temper in check. The whole restaurant doesn't need to hear you and Rossi arguing."
"Ugh, he's such a prick," Lucy exclaimed before she stormed back into the kitchen.
Molly Anna grinned at her girlfriend. "Ten Galleons says my sister's shagging him by Christmas."
"I'll get in on that bet," Fred said behind her.
"Uncle Fred!" Molly Anna exclaimed, throwing her arms around him.
"Hi, love, and who's this? Fred Weasley, Molly Anna's favourite uncle."
"Sienna Walker, Molls' girlfriend."
Fred wiggled his eyebrows. "Molls, huh?"
Molly Anna rolled her eyes. "So, taking the bet, Uncle Fred?"
"Oh, absolutely," Fred assured her. "Are you sticking around jolly old England long enough to find out?"
"Maybe," Molly Anna said. "Sienna's going to be doing a study with Neville Longbottom so I might be sticking around for a while."
"Good," Fred said, kissing her cheek. "We miss you around here. By the way, I love the hair."
Molly Anna beamed at him and Audrey leaned into Percy.
"Is it wrong for us to get in on that bet too?"
"Audrey!" Percy exclaimed, giving his wife a look. "I will not be putting money down on whether or not my daughter is having sex with a man she hates! She's a virgin!"
Molly Anna snorted. "Oh, Dad, that ship sailed years ago. I think it was the same month I got my nipples pierced."
Percy glowered and his cheeks heated. "I'm not hearing this. I don't want to know this."
Audrey kissed his cheek and gave him a soft smile. "Stop tormenting your father, Molly Anna."
"Nipples pierced?" Fred repeated, his eyebrows rising. "Good for you."
Molly Anna winked at her uncle. "I'd tell Dad more, but he might explode."
Percy scoffed. "Where did we go wrong, Audrey?"
Audrey chuckled. "I think we did pretty well, don't you think, Percy? Our daughters are happy and doing what they love and we're celebrating thirty years."
Percy pulled her close and kissed her temple. She was right. He was incredibly proud of both of his daughters, even if he didn't always agree with their decisions. "Thank you for giving me a second chance."
"I love you, Mr Weasley," she said, a twinkle in her eye. "And when we go home tonight, I'm going to tie you to the bed and do very naughty things to you."
"Oh, are you, Mrs Weasley?" he teased.
"Yes," she said. "So behave."
He watched her saunter off to talk to Lucy and he grinned. Thirty years had really gone by fast.

June 2033…
Charlie Weasley had always been a bit of a loner. It suited him. The idea of marriage and settling down, well, quite frankly, it had always made him want to break out in hives. He certainly never saw his life going in that direction and being single worked for him. Especially because one random hookup many years ago have given him the most precious thing he'd ever had in his life: His daughter.
Despite his love for dragons and everything to do with them, Aydin Dora Weasley was his first pride and joy. He would give her the world if she asked him for it. Being a single dad hadn't been an easy task and doing it in Romania, a world away from the family he loved, was much harder. But with the help of some friends and his mother, they'd worked out a system.
Twice a year, he sent Aydin to England to live with Molly for a few weeks so that she could spend some time with her aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandmother. Charlie used those times to relax a bit and by relax, he meant have lots and lots of sex. He wasn't picky. Gender wasn't an issue for him. It was people that attracted him and how. He found people fascinating and he loved every aspect of them. He switched between men and women fairly often and taught Aydin that love came in all forms.
When Aydin turned eleven, he knew that he wanted to send her to Hogwarts which meant that he needed to make a change in their lives. The big one was his decision to leave Romania and move them back home to England.
Zahira Black told him about the job as Head Dragonologist in the Ministry of Magic's Magical Menagerie which allowed him to keep doing what he loved and he and Aydin moved back into the Burrow until they found a place more up their alley. The biggest hardship was leaving Raya, the Welsh Green dragon who had grown up with Aydin and whom his daughter was extremely attached to.
Charlie promised his daughter that they would go back every summer and visit her and visit their old friends on the reserve in the Village of Blue Fire, but he knew that she was as heartbroken as he was to leave the place they'd known. He kept his house, renting it out during the winter so that it was there whenever they went back. But they moved to England and Aydin started Hogwarts and it was then that Charlie found them a small cottage in Wrexham only a short walk away from Remus and Tonks.
It had two bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, which he gave to his daughter, and they settled into their new life. Being back in England meant that he was able to spend more time with his best friend and watch her son grow up. It also meant that Aydin was a lot closer to her godmother and namesake which Charlie appreciated.
Being back with his family was a great feeling as it meant he really got the chance to get to know his nieces and nephews (and wow, were there a lot of them), but life was good.
The first person Charlie ran into outside of his family upon returning to England was a familiar tall man with waist-length tiny black braids, dark brown eyes, and a wide smile. Lee Jordan was best friends with his twin brothers Fred and George. Charlie had seen him sporadically over the years, but they'd never really been close since Charlie was four years older than him, but in the fall of '99 at George and Angelina's wedding, Charlie had woken up in in a hotel room with Lee's naked body spooning his after one or the best sex marathons he'd ever had. He didn't entirely remember how they'd gotten there nor who had initiated it, but as he rolled over and took in Lee's naked form, he couldn't help but smile. His long thin braids were loose over his back and shoulders. His smooth dark back was covered in a huge white dream catcher tattoo that was etched in gold. He obviously took good care of himself based on his defined abs and biceps and Charlie had to admit, the man had one of the nicest arses he'd ever seen. When he turned towards him, he was also gifted with the sight of his very large cock which explained why his arse was a bit sore that morning.
"You're staring," Lee murmured, his eyes still closed.
"You're sexy," Charlie said. "How'd we get here?"
Lee opened one eye and gave Charlie a lazy smile. "We did shots and I said I liked your beard. You told me I should see how it feels on my balls."
Charlie chuckled. "Ooh, right. And?"
"Definitely worth it."
"I didn't know you liked blokes," Charlie said, leaning on his arm as he met Lee's dark brown eyes.
Lee shrugged. "Sometimes. Are you in a hurry to get back today?"
"I have to pick up my daughter at twelve."
Lee glanced at the clock. "It's only nine. Want to take my arse this time?"
"Yeah, yeah I do," Charlie said.
They spent the morning shagging again and chalked it up to one night of passion, but when Charlie came back down for Christmas three months later, they hooked up again.
Lee had a deep, husky voice that reminded Charlie of sex and he was known for his own wireless talk show called Bludger This! that focused strictly on Quidditch. It sometimes allowed him to travel and interview Quidditch stars all over the world. It was how he ended up in Romania where they went for a drink and he ended up staying a week in Charlie's bed.
The thing was, they weren't exclusive by any means and neither of them spoke about it, but they kept finding their way into each other's beds every few months. When Charlie moved back to England in 2007, Lee was dating a famous Quidditch Seeker named Yasmine Canton who had been traded from the Harpies in '05 and was making a name for herself with the Montrose Magpies. But when they broke up six months later, Lee was back in Charlie's bed.
Charlie did his best to keep his hookups clear from Aydin. From the bartender in Manchester whom he took home one night, to the sweet little blonde he met in a park… he didn't want her to get attached to anyone. Hookups were his way of relieving stress and tension, but he had no plans of dating any of them no matter how often some of them found their way back into his bed. The bartender was around for almost a month as Charlie was addicted to the way her tits bounced when he took her from behind. There were others who seemed to be around longer than that, but when he ran into Lee at a bar a week later, he took him home without question and then spent the whole night bouncing on his cock followed by every night for the rest of the week and didn't think of the bartender or her tits again.
In the early dawn hours, he nudged him and told him that he had to go before Aydin woke up and Lee nodded, stumbling out of the bed. But Charlie wasn't as suave as he thought he was because this time when Lee was sneaking out the backdoor, they found Aydin in the kitchen. His then thirteen-year-old-daughter took one look at him and said, "You know you can let Lee stay for breakfast at least once, Papa."
He tried to explain to his daughter that they weren't dating and that they weren't a thing, but it didn't seem to matter because they always ended back up in bed together. They went their separate ways after Aydin caught them, but a month later ran into each other again. Charlie blew him in the bathroom of a bar and then they snogged each other senseless for a solid hour before Charlie said he had to go home. They went months without seeing the other again, but then in 2010, they spent a week shagging like mad when Lee returned from a trip to America where he interviewed American Quidditch teams.
It was during this week that George decided to pop in for a visit.
Charlie wasn't sure which of them was more surprised, Lee upon seeing his best friend come through the front door, or George seeing his elder brother riding his best friend's huge cock on his living room sofa. There had been some spluttering and some questions but after George left, Charlie finally sat Lee down and asked what the hell they were doing.
"I'm drawn to you," Lee told him. "I can't help it. The sex is incredible and you make me laugh. I like spending time with you and I think it's time we stop pretending this is nothing more than us scratching an itch."
"I'm not the marrying kind," Charlie replied. "I have Aydin to think about."
"Pretty sure I never said anything about marriage," Lee teased. He pulled Charlie down into his lap. "Seriously, we've been finding our way back into each other's beds for over ten years. It's happening more and more… let's see where it goes."
"Like… you want to date?"
"Why do you look like you might vomit?" Lee asked with a chuckle.
"I don't date."
"Well it's not like we've never meet up for a drink before or ever shared a dinner together or even gasp! — spent an afternoon hanging out together before or after sex."
"Well, that's fine," Charlie began. "We do that now."
Lee grinned and kissed Charlie's mouth. "Pretty sure that's dating, Weasley."
Charlie huffed. "Fuck off! We're not dating."
"Not officially."
Charlie looked like he wanted to argue before he gave Lee a contemplative look. "You're serious. Have we been kind of dating, Jordan?"
"Off and on, I think so," Lee said with a chuckle. "So, what do you say? Want to try it out for real?"
Charlie let out a slow breath before he said he would try it, but only after he talked to Aydin.
It turned out that Aydin was a lot smarter than her old man because she had thought they'd been dating for the last year. Fred and George teased them mercilessly before they gave them their blessing. Then the jokes started about Lee being hung and Charlie learned that there had been rumours at Hogwarts about Lee having a huge cock.
"What? Like you're surprised," Lee teased when Charlie asked him about it. "You certainly like to tell me how big I am when you're riding me."
"Not surprised," Charlie said. "But how did I miss this whole rumour thing?"
"Probably because some Chosen One showed up and suddenly my big cock wasn't the rumoured number one anymore," Lee said with a laugh, straddling Charlie's waist. "But I haven't had any complaints."
"None here," Charlie said, putting his hands on his hips and pulling him closer.
Lee leaned in to suck on the side of his neck. "Good. Want to remind me how good this sexy lumberjack beard of yours feels on my balls?"
Charlie reached forward to unzip Lee's jeans. "Fuck, yes."
They didn't really talk about it, but suddenly those little dates and time together turned out to only happen with Lee. A gorgeous witch from the maintenance department flirted wildly with Charlie and he didn't even think about it. When he came home that night, he found Lee making notes at the kitchen table. His long, thick cornrows loose over his shoulders and bright red glasses perched on the edge of his nose.
"So, a witch hit on me today and I didn't even think about shagging her," Charlie said, resting his hip on the kitchen table. "What do you think that's about?"
Lee chuckled and pushed his glasses on top of his head. "I think that means we might be exclusive."
Charlie wrinkled his nose. "I don't want that. It sounds too close to marriage."
"Then why didn't you take her up on her offer?"
Charlie crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Don't be all logical with me, Jordan."
Lee grinned. "I think you love having me around. I think you want us to be exclusive."
"Nope, not at all," Charlie said. "No strings."
"All right. Good. I'm glad you said that because there's this really peng bloke that I'm set to interview tomorrow who's been flirting with me a lot. Maybe I'll take him out for a drink and see where it goes since I know it won't bother you."
"I literally have dragons under my control," Charlie hissed, straddling Lee's lap. "If he touches you, I will kill him."
Lee smirked. "Thought you didn't want to be exclusive."
"Fuck off and let me have my delusions," Charlie said, linking his arm around his neck. "I'm not admitting I like having you around or anything."
"You think you might admit it enough to give me a drawer or two?"
Charlie raised an eyebrow. "A drawer… to like leave stuff?"
"That's usually what that implies. I haven't been back to my flat in almost three weeks and I'm been forced to go commando for the last three days."
"So if I don't give you a drawer, how many more days until you're forced to walk around starkers?"
Lee rolled his eyes. "You're a prat. You could at least let me use your laundry."
"Fine, one drawer," he relented, his eyes twinkling in mischief. "But I'm still not admitting you're like my boyfriend or something."
"Oh, the horror," Lee teased. "All right, Not-My-Boyfriend. We're part-time sharing a home and exclusive, but not boyfriends."
"Exactly," Charlie said. "Glad you get it."
But when Lee's lease was up on his flat two months later, it only made sense for him to give it up completely. They mentioned it being only until he found someplace better but they both knew that he wasn't actually looking. They were making dinner together one night when Aydin popped into the kitchen and stole a piece of red pepper from the counter.
"Papa, can I go over to Mina's after dinner?" she asked. "She mentioned having a sleepover in the treehouse. Please!"
"Did you finish cleaning your room like I asked?" Charlie replied, raising an eyebrow.
"It's spotless," Aydin promised. "It's so clean even Gamma would be proud."
Lee chuckled. "That's high praise."
"Please, Papa! If I stay over at Mina's, you and Dad can have a date night."
Lee froze, his dark brown eyes widening in disbelief. "Erm, did you just…?"
Aydin shrugged as if it was no big deal. "Just because Papa won't admit you two are totally in love, doesn't mean I can't. Can I go, Dad?"
Lee swallowed the lump in his throat and Charlie's heart sped up. "I… yeah, sweetie."
Aydin beamed and hugged Lee tightly before tugging Charlie's head down to kiss his cheek. "Have a good date, Papa."
Then she skipped out of the kitchen as if it was nothing at all.
"She just called me dad," Lee whispered, his eyes wide in wonder.
"She did," Charlie said, staring after his daughter in shock. "I… she… are we…?"
"Well, Not-Boyfriend, I think your daughter just adopted me."
Charlie chuckled. "I think she did too."
"And how do we feel about that? Any thoughts…?"
Charlie stared into Lee's dark brown eyes, a soft smile tugging his lips. "I think she has great taste just like her papa."
Lee smiled. "I love her, you know."
"I know," Charlie said, leaning in to kiss Lee softly. "She loves you too."
"So, Not-Boyfriend, want to have a date night after she goes to Mina's?" Lee asked.
Charlie leaned in and nuzzled his beard against Lee's neck. "On one condition."
"What's that?"
"You let her keep calling you dad."
Lee's eyes softened. "I'd love that, Charlie. I'd… fuck, thank you."
Then he turned his head and captured Charlie's mouth in his.
The next thing Charlie knew, six months had passed. They made breakfast together and kissed each other goodbye. Lee attended all of the family dinners and one night as Charlie laid in bed next to him, he kept his eyes on Lee. He took in the day or two's worth of salt and pepper stubble on his chin, the long braids, the softness of his face as he slept and he wondered not for the first time how the two of them had gotten here.
"He's good for you, Charlie," Molly said when he went into he kitchen to help his mother carry some dishes out to the table outside. "It's about time you settle down."
Charlie wrinkled his nose. "I'm not the settling down type."
Molly gave her son a look. "I just don't want you to be alone. One day, Aydin is going to move out and then where will you be?"
"Well, Lee's moved in for now, but only until he finds a place."
"Mmm," Molly said. "You're a stubborn arse, Charles Septimus. You love that boy."
"We're not boys," Charlie grumbled, running a hand over his full beard.
Molly had muttered something under her breath but thankfully left him alone. Now he stared at the man lying next to him, wondering what he would do if Lee decided to move out. He'd come to depend on him, he realized. He liked coming home and finding Lee sitting at the kitchen table working or out puttering in the garden when he needed a break. He liked watching him cook or laugh with Aydin and Merlin, hearing Aydin call him dad… he did love that. He loved watching his daughter grow close to Lee. He loved that they laughed together and argued over Quidditch and had the same sense of humour.
He and Lee had slowly become partners in raising her and Charlie didn't have a clear moment of when it happened over the last few years except that it made sense. They just worked together and it wasn't just about the sex, though Merlin knew that was incredible. Charlie had never really had a preference before, but there was something about being wrapped in Lee's strong arms that made him an outrageously needy bottom most of the time. But there were other days like when he came home a few weeks ago and found Lee just getting out of the shower. Water droplets had dripped down that gorgeous dark skin and Charlie had snogged him senseless before flipping him around and shagging him against the wall as he pumped Lee's cock like he hadn't seen him in weeks instead of only ten hours earlier.
Lee had turned his head and stole a kiss, a soft smile on his face. "Well hello there, Not-Boyfriend. You think you missed me or something."
"I didn't hear any complaints."
"And you definitely won't after a buggering like that. Bloody hell, I'll be limping tomorrow," Lee teased.
Charlie had framed his face with his hands and kissed his lips. "You can take it out on my arse later."
Then they showered together and curled up in bed, holding each other close as they talked about their day.
It was moments like that, the ones that stuck out as more than just being together. They were… partners, Charlie realized. They were partners and he didn't want anyone else in his life but this charming and charismatic man before him.
Lee opened his eyes, blinking before a slow smile formed on his lips. "Are you watching me sleep?"
"No," Charlie said, blushing. "That would be weird."
Lee smiled and danced his fingers through Charlie's beard. "I think you were."
"You're cute when you're sleeping."
Lee's smile widened. "So you were watching me."
Charlie rolled his eyes. "Fine. For like a minute. I woke up and was bored."
Lee leaned in to kiss him. "If you're bored, you can always suck on my cock."
"So generous of you," Charlie drawled.
"I'm a generous kind of bloke," Lee teased.
But Charlie took him up on his offer, murmuring about how much he loved it and Lee only held his head in place until he came down his throat.
When they'd attended the weekly Weasley dinner a few weeks later, Charlie was still thinking about how his life had taken shape with Lee. When they finally headed home, Lee wrapped his arm around Charlie and pecked his cheek.
"I kind of love you, Charlie Weasley."
Charlie turned, lifting an eyebrow; his heart warming at the words in a way he hadn't expected. "Kind of? I'm fucking brilliant. You worship me."
Lee chuckled. "I worship your cock, not you, big difference."
Charlie snorted. "Accepted because I… I ugh, like you too."
"Like me, huh?"
"A lot," Charlie said, his cheeks heating. "Lee…"
Lee cupped Charlie's cheek. "I know, Charlie. You show me every day."
Charlie swallowed as Lee pressed his lips to his for a soft kiss. "I do, you know."
"I know."
"But that doesn't mean I want to get married or anything."
"Good," Lee said, tugging him close and resting his forehead against his. "I don't want to get married either."
"Good."
"Good," Lee repeated with a smile. "But I do want you, Charlie. Will you not marry me?"
Charlie grinned, laughter in his eyes. "I will definitely not marry you, but I will stop calling you my Not-Boyfriend."
"Oh yeah? What's my new title?"
Charlie stared at him for a long moment, his heart in his throat as he leaned in and rested his forehead against Lee's, his gaze dark. "Partner," Charlie whispered, the words feeling right. "Be my partner."
Lee's eyes darkened before he captured his mouth for a long kiss that left them both breathless. "About bloody time, Weasley."
"You love me, Jordan."
"Yeah, yeah, I do," Lee whispered.
"And I… I love you, too."
Lee's brown eyes softened. "Fuck, Charlie. Then you go and pull the rug right out from under me."
Charlie grinned. "Shut up and kiss me, Jordan."
And he did.
Lee was already moved in and there was no need for a big announcement, they just were and it felt right. Even if it had taken them almost twelve years for it to happen and it just felt right. They were a family.
It was why a year later, the Christmas Aydin turned sixteen, when she asked Charlie if she could try to find her mother, Charlie was slightly taken aback, but not that surprised. He always knew that Aydin would wonder about her and as much as he knew that her going off to find Adreanna Camarra had nothing to do with him, it still hurt that she wanted to go out after her. Charlie promised that he would do what he could to try to find her and when his daughter returned home for the summer, he had an address in Portugal for her.
"Are you sure, Lee?" Charlie asked when his partner said they should do this together and leave Lee in England.
"You two need to take this trip together," Lee insisted. "Go and see Camarra and bring our girl home. I'll be here to help you with whatever happens."
"I'm afraid she's going to hurt her," Charlie admitted.
"I think so too," Lee told him. "But Aydin needs to do this for herself, Charlie. We can't hold her back, but we can be here to pick up the pieces when she needs us."
Aydin hugged Lee tight when they left and then Charlie and Aydin took a trip to Portugal so that Aydin could find her mother. It took everything Charlie had to sit back and let Aydin take the lead. When she returned to their hotel in tears, Charlie pulled his daughter into his arms and held her tight as she cried.
She'd found her, but Adreanna had told her that she wasn't mother material; that she'd signed off on her rights for a reason and wished not be disturbed.
"Why doesn't she want to know me, Papa? What did I do wrong?" Aydin cried.
Charlie held her close, cradling her against his heart like he had when she was a child. "You did nothing wrong, baby girl. Not one single thing. Adreanna's the one who decided to give you up and it's her loss. Her bringing you to me, it was the best bloody thing to ever happen in my whole life. I was terrified I would screw it up, but from the moment I looked at your sweet little face, I was so in love I couldn't think straight. You've grown up to be the most beautiful, the most intelligent, the sweetest and kindest person to ever grace this earth and Adreanna may have given birth to you, baby girl, but she's not your mum. I'm sorry that I was never able to give you a mum."
Aydin's tear-filled brown eyes met her father's. "No, Papa, you were the best papa I ever could have asked for! You were both a mum and a dad. You were always enough."
Charlie felt tears prickling in his own eyes as he hugged her tightly. "I love you, baby girl. I wish Adreanna knew the amazing young woman she's missing out on. But it's her loss, not yours. Do you understand?"
Aydin nodded, but the two of them sat there, holding each other close for a long time. They stayed a few extra days to do tourist stuff before Aydin told him that she was ready to go home. When they walked into their cottage in Wrexham, Lee greeted them with a smile and asked how it went.
Aydin ran right towards him and threw her arms around him. "Thanks for making my Papa so happy. My mother might not want to know me, but I have two of the greatest dads in the world."
Lee's eyes softened as he held Aydin tightly. "Oh, Aydin… thank you, sweetheart. I love you too."
Charlie stood up and wrapped his arms around Aydin from behind, sandwiching her between them and he knew that it was definitely Adreanna that had missed out. Aydin was the most incredible person and her life was lacking without knowing her.
The next summer came as a surprise when Lee kissed him goodbye one morning and headed off to work and Charlie watched his seventeen-year-old-daughter run down the stairs, kiss his cheek and call out goodbye before climbing onto the back of Leo Black's motorbike.
Charlie stared at the two of them riding off with his mouth open agape, not even entirely sure what he'd just witnessed. So he marched off down the street to Tonks' house to find out.
Tonks laughed when he told her. "Charlie, she's your daughter! Are you really at all surprised that she's full of an adventurous spirit?"
"Okay, no," he admitted. "I know that she's going to travel like I did. She wants to work with magical creatures or maybe even study ancient runes and she's already applied for internships all over the world, I know that, but when did her and Leo happen?"
Tonks smiled. "Well, her and Mina have been best friends since they started at Hogwarts. It makes sense that she would be friendly with Leo too."
"She was on the back of his motorbike!"
"That could be friendly," Tonks teased.
Charlie pouted. "I'm barely ready to let her go to Hogwarts for her last year, let alone ride off on the back of some boy's motorbike."
"Sirius' son to be exact," Tonks said. "Leo definitely has his dad's charm, but he's a bit more shy. Honestly, he's grown up to be quite handsome."
"Not helping, Tonks."
When he told Lee, he chuckled. "She's fancied Leo for months, Charlie. Haven't you noticed how often she speaks of him?"
"Well, yeah, but he's Mina's brother so I just thought… bloody hell!"
Lee smiled. "We're not going to be all overprotective dads are we?"
"No," Charlie said. "Just… is she really old enough?"
"She's seventeen."
"A child."
"Legally an adult."
"A sweet innocent little virgin."
Lee smiled. "Were you a virgin at seventeen?"
"That's irrelevant," Charlie said, ignoring his partner's laugh.
When Aydin came home, Charlie asked her about Leo and her whole face lit up.
"Papa, I really like him. He's sweet and a little shy and he always wears this black leather jacket that's really sexy," Aydin said with a grin. "I love his dark brown curls and how one always seems to fall over his left eye and his brown eyes and… he's wonderful."
Charlie pursed his lips. "Black, huh?"
Aydin grinned and pecked her father on the cheek. "Yes, Papa."
She looked too happy for Charlie to even be annoyed with her.
"Just tell him if he breaks your heart, I have dragons."
Aydin laughed. "Don't worry, Papa, Leo knows."
It turned out that Aydin thought he was pretty handsome for sure because Charlie swore he blinked and she was finished her last year at Hogwarts with Leo still as her boyfriend. The next thing he knew, she was heading off back to Romania to study dragons and Leo was going with her. He was following in his mother's footsteps with his love of magical creatures, but he wanted to work with the healing side of it. The two of them were going to move into Charlie's old house in Romania and settle in for their program.
They lived out there for almost four years, coming home for Mina and Grayson's wedding in 2017 and for holidays before they finally returned to England to get married and open their own business in 2019.
Charlie, Lee, Sirius, and Zee helped them find a large plot of land in Nefyn, Wales, where they not only had their first house, but where they decided together to open up an animal hospital for all magical creatures. It was called Black's Healing of Paws and Claws and they were going to run it together to treat animals and magical creatures of all kinds. Aydin had decided that she loved working with animals as much as her dad, but wanted to help heal them so her and Leo dreamed of opening this clinic together. The biggest surprise was that she brought Raya home from Romania with her. The dragon came and went like a pet and Charlie admired his daughter for her resilience.
Opening Black's Healing of Paws and Claws had been a lot of hard work, but it certainly didn't stop them from having their own kids. Their first had arrived barely nine months after they'd gotten married, a boy whom they named Colten Raleigh Black in March of 2020 making Charlie the first of the Weasley siblings to become a grandfather. Colten had been named after Leo's great-grandfather who had sadly passed two months before little Colten had been born. Two years later, Leo and Aydin had another boy whom they named Bram Charles. In 2024, another boy named Jordan Arthur, then in 2026, Jackson Sirius Black was born and Charlie asked Aydin if she was trying to outdo her grandmother or Auntie Ginny with kids.
"We want a house full, Papa," Aydin told him, rising his cheek. "And maybe just one little girl."
They ended up with another boy in 2029 whom they named Zayn Harry Black and Charlie thought maybe after five boys his daughter might have given up on having a little girl. But in 2033, his first granddaughter arrived, Nova Molly Black followed by her identical twin sister, Nevra Charlotte fourteen minutes later.
Now, as Charlie held a baby in each arm, he couldn't believe that his one and only daughter had given him more grandchildren than he'd ever imagined. She'd shocked him when she told him that she and Leo wanted a million kids.
"Being an only child was lonely, Papa," Aydin said. "I loved every second of growing up surrounded by dragons, but I wanted a sibling."
Charlie could understand that. As much as he hated having annoying brothers and a sister, he wouldn't trade them for the world. Being back in England all these years only made him more thankful for them.
"These are the last ones," Aydin said, kissing her father's cheek. "Leo and I finally got our girls. What do you think, Papa?"
Charlie, his thick red beard streaked in white at sixty-one, smiled at his only daughter with tears in his eyes. "I think I'm more proud of you every single day, Aydin Dora."
When he looked over at the man who had somehow become such an important part of his life, his partner and lover; the man who loved Aydin like his own, he smiled. Lee was holding Nova while Charlie held Nevra and he knew that he wouldn't change a thing.
"What do you think, Grandpa?" Charlie asked, a small smile on his face.
Lee beamed at Charlie from where he was holding little Nova. "I think we're very lucky grandfathers, Pop."
Then Lee leaned over to kiss him and Charlie thought life was pretty damn good.
~ KE: Other Epilogues ~
July 2040…
Fred locked up Weasleys Wizard Wheezes for the night and headed home to Berwick-upon-tweed to find his wife waiting for him. If someone had told him that he would end up marrying a fae princess with an unparalleled skill for archery, he would have laughed in their face. He was hardly the prince charming, but more of a court jester and yet this beautiful princess had chosen him.
It still sometimes surprised him even after decades together.
Much to his mother's dismay, they'd been together well over a decade before they'd even gotten married and then, they'd done it in secret. Neither of their parents had been pleased to learn they'd eloped, but Fred learned that over the years, sometimes you had to do things for yourself first.
He bent down to kiss his wife while she napped on the sofa and she opened up her beautiful green eyes at the sight of him.
"Hi."
"Hi," he said back. "Long day?"
"It was more than I bargained for," Fiadh said with a chuckle.
Being grandparents was both the most rewarding thing in the world and the most exhausting in Fred's opinion. It still amazed him that all four of their kids were married and that all four of them had given them grandchildren.
Their twins, Felicity and Finley, had been the first to marry. Felicity was fascinated with fae culture and the Court of Tara and after finishing Hogwarts was given a job of being librarian in the palace. She fell in love with the books there and spent her days studying and learning while taking care of the centuries of old books in the palace library in Tara. She wore her Weasley red hair just brushing her shoulders. It had brown undertones that sometimes made it look darker at night and her hazel eyes were always full of kindness. It was working in Tara that she fell in love with her husband, a palace guard Killian McCoy. He was a tall, striking fae with dark hair and dark eyes and he made his quiet, shy daughter light up from the inside out. They'd given them two grandchildren: Kyra Finley McCoy in 2022 and Keagan Frederick McCoy in 2025. They settled in a small magical village in Ireland near the Court of Tara, in Ireland, but not in the fae realm. The two of them were very happy.
Finley, Fred was proud to say, took more after him. His daughter had a love of laughter and worked in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes with him. Unlike her twin sister, her hair was more brownish red and she wore it to her shoulders, usually in a side braid. She'd inherited her mother's sharp green eyes. She was the manager of the shop, leaving him and George to more of the inventing, and she kept them much more organized. They worked well together. For someone who liked a laugh as much as she did, Finley surprised Fred by bringing home Bennett Belby. He had chestnut hair cut short with warm brown eyes and big ears. He was kind and he lit up when Finley walked into a room, but Fred thought his job in the Floo Department of the Ministry of Magic was the most boring job he could ever imagine, but someone had to do it.
Finley and Bennett had two boys: Mackenzie Bennett whom they called Mack in 2024 and Brogan Alexander in 2028. The boys were full of energy and kept their parents on their toes. Fred loved it when Fin brought them into the shop and he would bring them down into the workshop and entertain them.
Forest had the biggest heart out of all of his kids. She wanted to be a healer, specifically dealing with children. She had long blondish-brown wavy hair and hazel eyes and she was the most attuned to her fae nature. Her natural inclination to healing helped her put children at ease and sometimes made them forget entirely about the pain in a way only her fae blood could do. She worked in the children's ward of St Mungo's as a paedia-healer and loved every second of it. At twenty-four, she married Gabriel Goyle who worked as a magi-architect under his father's construction company, Goyle and Sons Construction. Gabe looked very much like his father and brothers: Bulky, muscular, dark curly hair, and blue eyes. He was completely smitten with Forest and Fred knew without a doubt that his daughter couldn't even get a hangnail without her husband being by her side. They had three girls and every one of them turned their father into complete goo: Briar Fiadh Goyle in 2028, Jasmine Pansy Goyle in 2030, and Aurelia Alexandra Goyle in 2033.
The first time Forest had healed a cut on Fox's knee when he fell, Fred remembered the shock that had went through him. She'd been four years old and Fox had been chasing after his sisters at two, determined to catch up and he'd stumbled in the garden, cutting his knee on the ground.
Fred had been on his feet instantly to get to his crying son and to his surprise, Forest had crouched down next to him.
"It's all right, Fox," she whispered. She reached out and put her hand over his cut knee and it glowed gold before being completely healed. "All better."
Fox sniffled and Fred scooped his son up into his arms, kissing away his tears. "All better, Fox."
Forest smiled up at them. "I made it all better, Daddy."
"You did," Fred said, his eyes still wide in surprise. "How did you do that?"
Forest shrugged. "He hurt so I fixed it."
And when she skipped off, Fred was still staring after her in awe as he cuddled Fox to his heart.
When he told his brother what had happened, George raised an eyebrow.
"Like she healed it?"
"Completely," Fred said. "Fox's knee doesn't even look bruised."
"Blimey," George whistled. "That's a gift. Fiadh can do that, can't she?"
"Well, a little," Fred admitted. "But it's not… I mean, she really just uses it when we're having sex. Zero refractory period with that one."
George chuckled. "Oh the horror."
Fred wiggled his eyebrows. "It does make the sex incredible. I feel like a god who can go all night."
"Yeah, because your wife uses magic," George said.
Fred shot up two fingers. "Jealous?"
"No," George said. "My sex life is just fine thanks. Now what are you going to do about Forest?"
"I don't know," Fred admitted. "I guess we'll have to have a chat about using her powers… she was supposed to be the easy one."
George laughed. "There's never an easy one."
Fox, their youngest and only son, had surprised all of them by going into potions. He worked as a Potioneer Auror in the Aurors Inquisitors Unit of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He was the spitting image of Fiadh from his dark hair to his sharp green eyes and angular cheeks, but when he smiled, that smirk was all Fred as were his freckled cheeks. Fox's wife, Ocean, was also a Potioneer Auror in the same department. She had long blonde hair and ocean-blue eyes and was quite frankly, a knockout. They had three boys: Frederick Donal Weasley whom they called Freddie in 2034, Alexander Tiernan Weasley in 2037, and Sean Arthur Weasley in 2039.
Life was chaotic at best, but Fred loved it.
Raising kids that were half-fae had been extremely interesting. Not only did they have to deal with the usual magical accidents, but they had to work on the extra power surges that being fae gave them. Only Finley and Felicity had wings, but all of his kids could levitate naturally without a wand. It meant chasing them down a lot when they escaped from their cots as babies. When it came to natural healing ability, Forest was the only with that trait and even though Fred had watched her heal cuts on her sisters and brother or cousins, it was still amazing to him to see her using her skills for something good.
They spent half their holidays with the Weasleys and Potters and the other half in the royal palace of Tara where to Fred's surprise, the king and queen were remarkably sweet grandparents. Taliesan and Caragh loved pulling them close and covering them in kisses and asking a million and one questions about everything they missed since they'd seen them last. They had monthly dinners with Fiadh's parents, but usually didn't see all of her siblings and their families until holidays.
Except for Donal and Tiernan who popped by the house pretty regularly to check in. Donal had become one of Fred's closest friends and he looked forward to when the older fae popped in for a beer once a week. Tiernan was just as fun and the three of them got along like they'd always known each other.
The day Fox and Ocean told him they'd named their first son after him and Donal, Fred had cried. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he held onto Freddie with Fiadh holding his arm.
"You and Uncle Donal are great, Dad, and Ocean and I just thought there's no one better to name our firstborn after," Fox said.
For the first time in his life, Fred found himself at a loss for words. He passed his grandson to his wife and pulled his son into his arms.
Fox hugged him tightly. "Don't get all blubbery on me, Dad, you'll get me going."
"It's too late," Fred said, finally finding words. "The tears are coming. I'm so bloody proud of you, Fox. Thank you for this honour."
Fox shrugged, his own green eyes full of tears. "No, Dad, thank you. For everything."
That got Fred going again as he hugged his son tight, tears in his eyes.
Fiadh pulled him down onto the sofa with her, taking him out of his thoughts. "I didn't expect grandkids to be so exhausting. I spent half the day at the court trying to rein in Freddie and Alex while Brogan and Mack kept getting into trouble. At one point, I found them all covered in flour in the kitchens. I heard one of the kitchen fairies say something about them not behaving like little princes."
"Wait, you're a princess? Since when?"
Fiadh smacked hard in the shoulder and he grunted. "Arse."
"Well, you did belch pretty loudly after dinner the other day; not very princess-like, babe. And don't even get me started on how gassy you can be after you eat cheese. Pretty sure princesses don't fart either."
Fiadh stuck her tongue out at him. "Why do I put up with you?"
"My good looks and charming personality," Fred said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Mmm," Fiadh said in response. "By the way, Hunter stopped by looking for you."
"Oh? Did he say what he wanted?"
"No," Fiadh said. "Just that he was looking for his godfather."
"Godfather and favourite uncle, important distinction, love," Fred said, thinking of Harry and Ginny's youngest son. He was twenty now and working as firefighter in the fire broomgade in London.
Fiadh rolled her eyes. "If you say so. I talked to Fin today too about the shop."
Fred closed his eyes. "I know. Georgie and I talked about it, but we're just not ready to give it up yet. Not entirely."
"She's not asking you too."
"She's asking us to consider it," Fred said. "I'm only sixty-two and I don't want to retire yet. Another few years. George and I still have loads of other inventions to make yet."
"Mmm, no more dangerous ones though, right?" Fiadh asked, gently massaging the mostly healed bruised skin under her husband's left eye.
"That was a complete accident," Fred insisted. "How were we supposed to know that it would blow up in our faces?"
"Years of experience?"
Fred waved her off. "Five more years and then we'll talk."
"Well, you might not be ready, but I think I am."
Fred's eyes widened in surprise. "You want to hang up your bow?"
Fiadh shrugged. "Well, I'm too old to serve as part of the royal guard anymore and while I've loved teaching archery at the palace for the last twenty years, I think I'm ready to retire. I want to spend time with our grandchildren before the rest of them go off to Hogwarts."
Fred nodded. He could understand that. He thought about the time he spent at the shop, in the basement working on new inventions with his brother. It did take up a lot of time.
"All right, compromise. What if, I cut back to four days a week?"
"Three," Fiadh said.
Fred rolled his eyes. "All right, three, would that suffice?"
"Promise you won't come home with anymore black eyes?"
"This week? Sure."
Fiadh laughed and kissed him smartly on the mouth. "I do love you, Fred Weasley."
"The Jester and the Princess; we make quite a pair, don't we?"
Fiadh kissed the tip of his nose. "That we do. Now let's go upstairs and take a bath."
Fred hopped to his feet and pulled his wife with him, ducking his head and framing her face to keep her deeply. When he moved way, her eyes were dazed and he brushed his finger over her lips.
"I love you, Fiadh."
Her eyes softened and she fisted her hands in his shirt. "You're about to get very lucky, Fred Weasley."
Fred wiggled his eyebrows, slipping his hand under her shirt to dance up her back and lightly stroke her wings. "If I cut it back to three days a week, does that mean I'll get lucky more often?"
Fiadh chuckled. "Why don't you cut it back to three days a week and we'll see what happens?"
Fred kissed her again. Fiadh was everything to him. She'd given him a family he loved, new friends in her brothers, and a life he wouldn't trade for anything. If she was truly asking him to hang up his inventor hat, he would consider it, but she knew him better than he knew himself. Sure, he knew he should slow down a little, spend some more time with his wife and grandkids, but to stop inventing entirely? Not something he was ready for and his wife knew it.
He remembered the first time he'd seen her; the day she'd saved his life at Fingal's Cave with her bow and arrow. It felt like ages ago and sometimes when he looked at her, it felt like yesterday. He never imagined she would give him everything he'd never dared to dream of.
"What are you thinking about, Fred?" Fiadh asked, her green eyes meeting his.
"How lucky I am," he whispered. "If you hadn't saved my life that day on the moor… we never would have found each other."
Fiadh smiled, her eyes twinkling. "If I'd known how much trouble you'd be, I might have resisted."
"Liar."
"I can't imagine my life without you, Fred," she whispered. "We make a pretty good team."
"The best," he agreed.
"Now," Fiadh said, running her hands under his shirt and up his back. "Why don't we go upstairs and you can be the good husband that you are and get on your knees for me?"
Fred's eyes darkened. "Oh, love, I'm going to spread you out on our bed and feast for hours."
"Promise?"
He tugged her up against him and bent his head to kiss her just as the front door opened.
"Dad!"
"Dammit," Fred mumbled. "Even when they're grownup, they're still cockblocking me."
Fiadh chuckled. "Behave. We're in here, darling," Fiadh called out as Fox came into the living room carrying Freddie in his arms.
"Hey, Dad, Freddie did something to this pgymy puff and it's turned black with pink polka dots," Fox said. "Ocean and I tried to fix it, but we don't want to hurt her."
Fred took the puff from his son's arms, carefully holding the fluffy ball as he examined him from all angles. "Ah, well, if it's just a colour changing charm, it's no big deal. Freddie, what did we say about experiments?"
"Boom means good!" Freddie exclaimed.
Fiadh sighed and reached for her grandson. "No, sweetie. Boom is bad. Don't be like Grandpa."
Fred winked at his wife. "But I'm a catch."
Fiadh rolled her eyes. "I know, but that doesn't mean you're right."
Fox sighed. "Can you fix him, Dad?"
"Absolutely," Fred promised. "Come on, Freddie. Let's go to Grandpa's workshop and fix your puff, erm…?"
"Bob," Freddie said.
Fred smiled. "Bob it is then."
And when his grandson with his name dutifully took his hand, he felt like his world was truly complete.
~ KE: Other Epilogues ~
October 2048…
George took a seat on the living room chair, massaging his aching leg. He carefully unhooked the prosthetic and leaned it against the arm of the chair before he reached down to rub his stump. Even after all these years, it still surprised him that his missing limb could still hurt. He looked up when his wife came into the living room and watched her hurry around the room with a smile.
It was mind-blowing to him that he'd been married to this woman for forty-nine years. He was positive that she still looked as gorgeous as she had the day he'd married her. She kept her hair shorter now in a sassy bob at her chin and she coloured her greying hair to keep it a dark, rich brown. Her burn scars had faded, but the scars on her ribs and thigh still ached sometimes. George watched her hurry around the room in one high heel before she found the shoe she was looking for behind his chair.
"Going somewhere?"
"Yes, I have a meeting with the new Seeker for Pride of Portree," Angelina said. "We're working on signing her with us and I want Gideon to be her new agent."
Angelina had taken to public relations like she'd been born to it. After fifteen years working for the Department of Magical Games and Sports, she'd branched off on her own and opened her own Public Relations Office called Weasley's PR. It had struggled for the first three years as all she had was the clients she'd left with, but by 2020, she was turning a profit. Now, Weasley's PR was broken down into public relations sections for Quidditch stars, celebrities, and even a few government employees who needed help with their image. It was a huge success and she had eight agents working for her now. In the last ten years, Angelina had slowly been passing off her clients to other agents to run the business side of things and George couldn't have been more proud of her.
She bent down and pecked his lips. "There's leftover stew in the kitchen. Heat up a bowl. I'll only be a few hours. Asher said that he and Knox were coming by to talk to you about something."
George nodded. "It's about the shop."
Angelina reached down to massage his stump gently. "All right. Give them my love. Is this bothering you?"
He closed his eyes as she gently rubbed at the skin. "Bit sore. I was on my feet too long today is all."
"Hmm, rub that salve on it and leave it off the rest of the night," Angelina said, jumping up to grab his cane from the cupboard. "Use this. Love you, bye."
She kissed him again, taking his prosthetic leg with her and putting it away so that he wouldn't be tempted to use it, then she was gone. George sighed and leaned back in his chair for two minutes of blissful silence before the front door opened and he heard his two youngest sons chatting enthusiastically. A moment later, they both stepped into the living room with big smiles.
Asher Lee and Knox Logan were his two youngest children and the two who had seemed to inherit his inventive gene. The two boys had been born to invent things and by the time they were twelve, were helping him and Fred out in the shop pretty regularly. Now they were thirty-nine and thirty-six and were both married with families of their own.
"Dad, perfect! You're home!" Knox exclaimed, plopping down on the sofa next to George's armchair.
Knox was the spitting image of his mother from his dark brown hair, to his brown eyes. His light brown skin was covered in freckles and he had George's wide smile, but otherwise, he was all Angelina. Asher was the complete opposite. He had piercing blue eyes, not a single freckle, and blondish-brown hair that was always just lightly shaggy on the top. He was stocky like his father, with broad shoulders, and a pale complexion that burned bright red in twenty minutes under the sun. He had a week's worth of dirty blond stubble on his face and neck that matched Knox's dark stubble and they were both grinning rather identical grins.
"We figured it out," Asher said, sitting next to his brother. "We've officially made personalized fireworks that can be charmed to say anything you like."
George lifted an eyebrow. He was impressed. He and Fred had been trying to make those a thing for almost five years and couldn't master the charm to get it just right.
"Yeah?"
Knox nodded as he began to explain how it wasn't so much about the charm, but how to turn the charm into a hex that could be then charmed again. As George watched his sons argue and talk over each other as they explained the concept, pride swelled through him. He'd never imagined all those years ago that the dream he and Fred had of opening their own joke shop would be something his own kids would be interested in. But Asher had gotten top marks in Charms and Potions and Knox had the highest Transfiguration score on his NEWTS since Dumbledore. George was insanely proud of them. The two of them had joined he and Fred in the inventing of Weasleys Wizard Wheezes after they finished at Hogwarts and the four of them had done some truly amazing work together since.
Now, Fred and George were seventy and were mostly retired. They worked two, sometimes three days a week either helping with the inventing or brainstorming new ideas for new products. Weasleys Wizard Wheezes had become the best-selling joke shop in all of Britain and that wasn't even including their defence line that they sold strictly to the Ministry of Magic and the Magical Intelligence Agency. With Fred and George taking a step back from the shop, they were slowly passing more and more of it over to their children.
Asher and Knox may have taken over the inventing side of things, but Fred's daughter Finley Belby was the genius behind the business angle. She ran the shop with precision from organizing sales, promotions, and image that had made the shop even more successful in the last few decades. George was insanely proud of all three of them.
"That's brilliant, boys," George said with a smile. "Great work!"
Asher grinned. "I knew you'd love it! We'll show Uncle Fred tomorrow. Where's Mum?"
"Client meeting," George said.
Knox nodded. "If she's going to be late you can home to our place for dinner, Dad. You know that Layla always cooks way too much."
George smiled. "Appreciate it, but I have some leftover stew waiting for me and your mum's ordered me to sit on my arse. My leg's acting up a bit."
Asher frowned. "Want me to get the salve for you?"
"That would be great, thanks Asher."
Asher hurried off into the bath to do just that and when he came back, he gently began to spread it on his father's stump.
"Thank you," George said, grateful to his son was helping him out.
The boys talked his ear off a bit longer before telling him to get some rest and heading on out to their homes and George stood up with his cane and made his way to the kitchen to heat up his stew. He was just finishing up when the Floo opened and out came his only granddaughter, Saria. She was almost six and most definitely should not be using the Floo of her own accord.
"Saria, what are you doing here?"
"Hi, Grandpa!" she exclaimed, hopping up onto his lap. "Guess what?"
"What?" George asked, his smile automatic.
"I don't know. I forgot the joke."
George laughed and wrapped his arms around the little girl, kissing the top of her head. "Well, as happy as I am to see you, princess, I think your mummy and daddy are going to be very cross when they find you missing."
She wrinkled her nose. "But I don't want to go to bed yet. I'm not even tired."
"I'm sure that's true," George said, pulling out his communication mirror and saying Asher's name. A moment later his son's face appeared.
"Dad, sorry I can't talk right now. Saria's hiding somewhere."
"She's with me, Asher," George said.
"What?" Asher exclaimed, his eyes widening before he turned his head. "Babe, Dad has her!" He turned back to George. "How did she get there?"
"I used the Floo, Daddy!" Saria exclaimed, shooting a big smile at her father's face in the mirror.
Asher sighed. "I thought girls were supposed to be easier than boys."
George chuckled. "Not always."
His daughter-in-law, Jia came to her get her a few minutes later, thanking George. Saria hugged him tight before they disappeared through the Floo. George leaned back in his seat, his eyes on the most recent family photo taken and sometimes couldn't believe that life had gone by so quickly.
He and Angelina had four amazing children who had all found love and happiness. Gideon was forty-four years old and one of the best agents in Weasley's PR when it came to Quidditch. He'd married Ava Longbottom twenty years ago and they had three boys: August Gideon Weasley in 2033 whom they called Auggie, Caleb Neville Weasley in 2035, and Reed Jacob Weasley in 2037. Ava was a Herbologist like her father and worked in the shop Serendipity Blooms in Apricity Lane that she planned to eventually take over when Neville retired.
Gideon was sharp like his mother and very much a people person. He had become an even better public relations agent than Angelina ever was and people asked for him by name. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wore it longer on the top and shaved at the sides and always dressed in suits and sharp ties.
It still amazed George to see his firstborn son all grown up and so successful. He still remembered watching him run around the Burrow with his cousins.
"Here, Gid!" James Potter shouted, kicking the football towards Gideon.
Gideon intercepted the kick before Fox could get it; the leg on that kid shocked George. Angelina was the one who insisted they put him in football when he was five and their son loved it. He ran past Fox, the ball in his control and kicked it hard. It flew over James' head and into the makeshift net the boys had made and he cheered.
"And Weasley scores!" Gideon shouted, hands up in the air.
Fox pouted. "It's impossible to get the ball from him, Jamie."
James shrugged. "All right, this time it's two on one. Prepare to be defeated!"
He wasn't.
Gideon kicked arse against James and Fox easily and then cheered for himself loudly when he did. The memory still made George smile.
He'd kept playing football at a Muggle club even after Hogwarts. It was his favourite hobby to do on the side and he'd even gotten his own sons interested in it. The magical world didn't have much of an interest in football which George thought was too bad because he really thought his son was good enough to have played professionally. He wasn't the only one either because a scout had seen him when he was seventeen.
"Dad, they want me to play football professionally."
George's eyes widened. "Yeah? Gid, that's brilliant!"
Gideon shrugged, but his eyes were wide in excitement. "It's pretty wicked. But… I want to shadow Mum and go into public relations."
"You can still do that," George said. "That's a career you can have after if that's what you want."
"I don't know… being out on the field is brilliant, but it's hard to play with all of these guys and keep this part of myself, the magical part, hidden…"
George nodded. He could understand that. "Well, whatever you decide to do, your mum and I will support you. If you want to play Muggle football, go for it. If you'd rather just keep it as a hobby, you can do that too. It's your life, Gideon."
Gideon hugged him and told him he'd think on it. After a few weeks of careful deliberation that included talking to his Auntie Ginny and Uncle Lee, he decided that playing professional football wasn't for him. He loved the sport and he wanted to keep playing, but he was more interested in the world of public relations.
By the time he was twenty, George knew his son had made the right choice without a doubt. He was doing incredible work and had even gotten three of his own clients without Angelina's help. He was doing what he was born to do.
Roxie, his only daughter, had become an officer in the Office for the Detection of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective Objects in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She had shoulder length straight reddish brown hair and blue eyes. She was a bit darker in skin tone than Gideon and when she smiled, all George saw was his wife. She'd married an Auror in the Dark Arts Unit named Cassidy Winchester.
The first time his daughter had brought Winchester home it had been to a full family get-to-together at Fred and Fiadh's place in Berwick-upon-tweed. She'd walked in holding his hand and Harry had stood up, his hand out.
"Winchester, hi. Didn't expect to see you here tonight."
"Hi, Sir," Winchester said as he shook Harry's hand. "I didn't know you'd be here."
"I told you Uncle Harry was my uncle," Roxie said, smiling up at him. "Cass, this is everyone. Names will be impossible, but come on, I want you to meet my parents."
Gideon stood up first, his eyes taking him in. "Gideon Weasley, Rox's brother," he said.
"Gideon, don't be an arse," Roxie said, tugging her boyfriend around her brother to stand in front of her parents. "Mum, Dad, this is Cassidy Winchester. Cass, these are my parents, George and Angelina Weasley."
"It's lovely to meet you Mr Weasley, Mrs Weasley," Cass said, a soft smile on his handsome face.
George had to admit, the man was good-looking. He had light brown hair cut short, light green-blue eyes, and a face full of dark stubble. He was taller than George by more than a few centimetres and was dressed in dark blue jeans and a light grey-button down over black boots.
"George and Angelina," Angelina said with a smile. "Trust me, the Mr and Mrs bit will get way too confusing in this lot."
"Cass is an Auror, Mum," Roxie said. "He works in the Dark Arts Unit with Uncle Harry and Uncle Ron."
"I do," Cass said. "I'm an A3 and Rox is the smartest witch I've ever met. We met on a case a few months back when I needed some assistance from her department. She's brilliant."
Roxie beamed at him and pecked his lips before she moved to hug her father. "Be nice, Daddy. No pranks."
"Pranks? Me?" George asked, pretending to be shocked.
"None," Roxie insisted. "I really like him. Please don't scare him off."
"If he scares off after a few pranks, he's not the one for you, Roxanne."
Roxie gave him a look. "Just behave, Dad."
It turned out George didn't have to because Fred took care of it. After eating a Canary Cream and then sitting on a cushion that made him sound like he was having rather loud diarrhea, Winchester was flushed in embarrassment but laughing. When he told George that he loved his joke shop, his demeanour softened a little before he cleared his throat.
"Good. I like knowing you know how to have a laugh. For the record, none of that was me."
Cass laughed. "Yeah, Rox already said it was her Uncle Fred, but I think we both know you were aware of it."
"I might have been," George admitted. "She's my only little girl. You better treat her right."
"I promise, Sir," Cass said.
George cried like a baby when he walked her down the aisle two years later and now she was the mother of four boys: Ryder Cassidy Winchester in 2034, Foster Arthur Winchester in 2036, Toper Alaric Winchester in 2039, and Cole Gideon Winchester in 2042.
Asher worked in the joke shop as an inventor and he'd married Jia Zhao who worked in the Department of Magical Equipment Control in the Ministry's Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. George had been surprised to find out that Jia was the daughter of Cho Chang and an Auror in the Hit Wizard department named Nick Zhao. He made a joke to Harry about Asher dating Cho's daughter and Harry shrugged.
"Nick's a nice bloke and Cho and I would never have worked out, even if I wasn't head over heels in love with your sister," Harry said.
George figured that was probably true. Jia was just as beautiful as her mother had been with a kind smile. Asher stared at her like she hung the moon and now they had three children together. They had two boys: Bridger Asher Weasley in 2038 and Dalton Nicholas Weasley in 2040 before giving George and Angelina their one and only granddaughter in 2042, Saria Jia Weasley.
Knox worked in the joke shop as an inventor alongside of his brother and he married Layla Rivers who worked as a bartender in Lucy's restaurant Ambrosia in Luminescent Way. Layla loved tending bar and was known for making up the clever and delicious drinks to par with each dish Lucy and Luca designed for the night. She always had a bright smile and she made Knox very happy. They had four boys: Rafe George Weasley in 2039, Gage Knox Weasley in 2042, Miles Aaron Weasley in 2044, and Cade Asher Weasley in 2047.
If someone had told him that at seventy years old he would have the most successful joke shop in all of Britain, be married to Angelina who was one of the most powerful public relations agents in the country, be the father of four, and the grandfather of fourteen, he never would have believed it. But looking back, his life was everything he'd ever imagined it would be and more.
He rubbed his aching leg before he waved his wand to clean up the kitchen just as Angelina came back in.
"Hey, how'd it go?"
"Great," Angelina said. "She's interested in signing with us and we're going to finalize tomorrow. Gideon is going to take her on himself. Did Asher and Knox come by?"
"Yes and Saria. She made an escape from bedtime and used the Floo."
Angelina laughed. "That little girl is going to be trouble. Asher better keep his eye on her."
"Can't imagine where she gets that from."
Angelina moved to stand between his legs, leaning in to kiss him. "Hmm, no idea at all."
George grinned. "So, want to go upstairs and shag?"
Angelina lifted an eyebrow. "Whatever happened to romance? A little wooing, a little courting… when did we lose that?"
"Oh, I don't know, around the time of we never had it."
Angelina rolled her eyes. "We've had our moments."
George pulled her close, resting his forehead against hers. "Yeah, we have." Then he brought his mouth to hers for a long kiss that left them both breathless. "But seriously, I've been staring at your magnificent tits on my cane and it's made me randy. Let's shag."
"My tits haven't looked like that in forty years," Angelina said on a laugh.
George grinned. "That's why I'm bringing the cane with us, for inspiration."
Angelina cuffed him across the head. "Wanker."
He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. "I'll even let you suck on my balls if you ask nicely. How's that for romance?"
"Dismal," Angelina said, kissing his cheek. "I'm going to take a shower."
"Can I join you?"
Angelina walked to the stairs before she tossed him a look over her shoulder. "Only if you wash your own balls before I play with them."
George jumped to his feet so fast he lost his balance, catching himself on the counter as he hopped after her on one leg to grab his cane by the wall. Angelina laughed as she headed up the stairs and George hurried up after her, thinking life was pretty great.
