Episode 13: Road to Redemption Part 2
Ami, Makoto and Mina were beginning to feel strange. Their heads were aching like crazy, and we could feel like something was stirring within them.
"What is going on? My skull is pounding!" Makoto said.
"You're not the only one…First we get ignored for like 6 months, now this? What's next?" Mina groaned.
"Don't ask, you'll just make it worse…" Ami said. "It feels like we were meant to be better than this…like we were meant to have some purpose that we've forgotten. But in abandoning Usagi…we've also abandoned that purpose."
"Geeze. When did you get so prophetic?" Mina replied sarcastically.
At that moment, a girl walked into the room, dressed in the uniform of the Sailor Scouts. It was hard not to know them, but this scout was one the three didn't quite recognize.
"Ah. I see you've survived your encounter with the Princess, albeit with slight mental damage."
"What? We've never met the scouts before, let alone a princess!" Makoto yelled.
"As I stated, your memories are damaged. To be expected of course."
"What are you talking about? Our memories were messed with?!" Mina yelled.
"Yes. You made a very unwise series of decisions, which led to your memories being sealed. The fact remains however that your help is needed."
"We're not exactly fighters if you hadn't noticed." Makoto said. "Even if what you're saying is true, we don't have the skills we need to fight."
Before anyone else could speak, an explosion in the distance indicated the beginning of a new battle.
"It seems that talk is not going to stop the youma. Your help is needed, whether you are capable or not. Now, either you come willingly or I bring you there by force. It is your choice."
"You can't just drag us out there! We'll get killed!" Mina yelled.
"…Does it look like I care. You either come willingly, or I drag you there."
The three girls realized trying to reason with this girl was like trying to speak with a brick wall. So they followed, finding the Sailor Scouts in the middle of a fight against the youma of the week, this one being a large Medusa like being firing petrification beams.
"Stay here, and do not interfere unless absolutely necessary. You will know when the time is right."
The girl then moved into the fight.
"Earth Cannon."
The resulting blast nailed the creature in its face, sending it screaming as Ami, Makoto and Mina cowered behind a nearby bench.
"This is terrifying…" Mina said.
"I know…but I feel like this is familiar…" Makoto said.
"Yeah…and Sailor Moon…why do I feel like we know her somewhere?"
As they looked, recognition dawned.
"U-Usagi?" Ami stuttered out.
"Is this what Mika meant…we used to be Sailor Scouts…and we turned on her…so she took our memories of it…" Makoto was now starting to panic some.
"Oh gosh…we really were bad friends…no wonder she hates us!" Mina was definitely freaking out.
At that moment, Usagi stumbling due to another near miss from the youma, and it began preparing to fire at her.
The three girls didn't know why, but they instinctively ran out towards Usagi and the others.
"USAGI!"
Suddenly, they all began glowing brightly, as the box Usagi had trapped their powers in burst open, restoring their powers and memories, and granting them new abilities as a sign of redemption.
"PURE MERCURY POWER!"
"PURE VENUS POWER!"
"PURE JUPITER POWER!"
"…MAKE UP!"
*insert transformation description here*
The three were now in new uniforms, and each fired at the Medusa at once.
"PURE MERCURY AQUA RHAPSODY!"
"PURE JUPITER SUPREME THUNDER!"
"PURE VENUS CRESCENT BEAM BARRAGE!"
The three attacks tore into the Medusa, ripping its snakes off its head and also blinding it as the Supreme Thunder nailed its eyes.
"Now Sailor Moon!"
"MOON PRINCESS…ESCALATION!"
"NOVA POWER…GRAND CANNON!"
"Earth Power…Earth Rending."
The follow-up attacks tore through the medusa, sending its head flying and ripping its tail off as well, sending it failing to the ground in pieces before disappearing.
With that done, everyone turned to the restored Inners.
"Usagi…we're so sorry for what we did."
"Guess we didn't realize what we had till it was gone, especially since we should have questioned Lila from the start instead of just following her…"
"Yeah, we can understand if you don't want to forgive us, but we're not going to apologize for risking ourselves to save you."
Usagi stood there for a moment before speaking.
"Look…you really hurt me when you turned on me so easily…I can't forget or forgive what you did so easily…but I am willing to work on fixing things."
The three inners sighed in relief, knowing that they had at least a chance to make things right.
"Thank you Usagi…We'll make it up to you, we promise!"
But as they stood there, Sailor Earth wandered off, thinking to herself, 'So…they have at least begun their path to redemption…I wonder how this will end.'
And as they prepared to leave, a voice suddenly rung out.
"You have won this round Sailor Moon, but mark my words! YOU WILL FALL!"
Everyone frantically looked around, but there was no sign of anyone, It was only after a moment that they noticed how pale Mika and Sakura had gone.
"W-What's wrong, you guys seem…scared."
"Because we are…"
"That voice…it was Chaos…"
It seemed that the heroes' struggle against darkness was far from over when they beat Galaxia…it was only beginning…

AN: OKAY I'm really sorry it took a year to make this, I'm going to put this story on hiatus until I can finish Angelic Warriors Exile, then I'll try to get back to updating this regularly. I have four more arcs planned, but I'm either going to:
A: Cancel the Other 3 Arcs and just skip to the ending to wrap the story up quickly, altering the plot to make that work.
B: Same as A but maybe return to finish the other 3 arcs eventually.
Or C: Continue as planned and pray I can get it done eventually without taking a decade to do so. :/
Haven't decided which to do yet, probably will do C but no promises.

AN2: In addition, To 'The Rat' and 'Green Centipede', yes this story is cringe. I started it back when I was in the 'Cringey POV and bad writing' phase of my work. I probably need to go back and redo the earlier chapters, at the very least to make the story less cringey. I'm doing my best to make Sailor Nova, Mika and the other OCs less relevant to the main plot and keep the main cast in the forefront. For the most part, the OCs will become less relevant as time goes on, they will still be there, but won't take center stage, I have no intention of letting that happen. If you really want to criticize me though, please make the criticism constructive. I will accept plenty of criticism, but I can't fix the issues if I don't know what to fix. Especially since I'm not very good when it comes to writing in the first place.
So to clarify the two points:
A: Yes, the Inners are WILDLY OOC, same with Mamoru and Chibi-Usa, but that's because of a plot point that I've not gotten to cover yet.
B: Yes, the OCs are cringey, but I'm trying to make them relevant to the plot while also making them as irrelevant as possible if that makes any kind of logical sense. From Chapter 14 onwards, most of the OCs outside Nova and Mika will be mostly irrelevant to the plot until the final arc of the story. But by all means, criticize away if you're able to do and give me some feedback on how to make it a lot less cringe. There are going to be more OCs and I'd rather not repeat the same mistakes...
And to PEJP BengtZone V2, yes. I'm intending to try and get Usagi to show some character growth.
