Hello all Storm here with part two of five of the prologue for "The Explosion Vixen"! Here we'll be seeing more of Naruko training to master her Bakuton, along with seeing even more changes to canon, plus some hints as to just how Naruko has the Bakuton. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
She screamed excitedly as she charged forward, swinging her sword and slicing any Shinigami in her way to pieces, relishing in the destruction and chaos, the blood and death. All in the name of His Majesty, she'd happily slaughter every single Shinigami she could find.
Only for someone to grab her arm, making her look only to smirk to see a large bipedal wolf/dog man wearing the attire of a Captain. And despite having never actually seen or met him before, for some reason she knew his name was Sajin Komamura.
"Don't tell me they have little girls like you fighting for them." Sajin said, which only made her smirk grow, eager to show him what a "little girl" like her can do.
"Don't tell me they made a doggy like you a Captain. Wow, they must be seriously understaffed. I mean, that's just sad." She retorted tauntingly, already curious of what kind of Bankai she'll be stealing from him.
Naruko gasped as her eyes flew open, darting around quickly only to see she's still in her apartment, laying on the floor where she fell asleep while reading. Groaning as she sat from the uncomfortable position she was laying in.
'Ugh, that was…I don't even know if I should call that a dream. I was…fighting people…Shinigami? Then…that dog, wolf, guy…Komamura. And then his Bankai…Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō.' Naruko thought, frowning as she looked at her hand, feeling as if she should be holding something in it.
Before she was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a knocking at her door, making her groan quietly as she got up.
'I swear if it's Iruka coming here again, I'll make the last pranks I pulled on him be mercy compared to what I'll do next.' Naruko thought, not wanting to see her former teacher, though she used the term "teacher" loosely, ever again.
Though when she looked through the peephole, Naruko was surprised to see the Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, standing on the other side before opening the door.
"Old man? What're you doing here?" Naruko asked, wondering what the Hokage was doing here this early in the morning.
"It's nice to see as well, Naruko. I was just thinking to stop by for a visit to see how you were doing." Sarutobi replied, smiling at the young girl, who nodded slowly in response.
"Right… I'm doing fine, thanks… Did you want to come in, then?" Said Naruko, unable to help but feel this was more than just a casual visit.
"If it's not too much trouble. Though it seems like you have just gotten up yourself." Stated Sarutobi as he entered the apartment once the whiskered blonde stepped aside.
"Just a long night." Naruko said as they entered the living room/kitchen, with the Sandaime immediately noticing the stack books she had.
"So it seems. I'm surprised to see you studying so hard, despite not going to the Academy for the past few days." Hiruzen said, making Naruko narrow her eyes slightly, now seeing why he's really here.
"What about it? Just because I'm not going to the Academy doesn't mean I'm not still training." Said Naruko.
"Of course, I'm sure you're still hard at work to improve yourself. Though it seems you have…odd topics to research." Said Hiruzen, raising a brow when he saw the books on the Bakuton Kekkei Genkai.
"I thought it'd make sense to learn about Kekkei Genkai outside of Konoha. You never know when you might run into someone that uses them on missions." Naruko replied easily, surprising even herself at how calm she was when she'd normally be nervous that he'd find out about her power.
"True, the life of a Ninja is full of many unexpected surprises and it's important to be prepared for any of them. But if you wish, then attending the Academy will provide you all the information you're studying and more." The Hokage said, which only made Naruko scowl slightly.
"I'm not going back to the Academy, anything I want to know about I can find out on my own. I doubt anyone even notices I'm gone, anyway." Naruko said bitterly at the end, knowing it'd be more surprising if someone actually did notice her absence.
"I'm sure that's not true, your classmates must've noticed your absence. Iruka, himself, is even the one that came to me about you not attending class anymore, along with expressing his concern that you went out into the back hills, putting yourself in a very dangerous situation." Said Hiruzen while giving her a disappointed look, only for the Uzumaki to scoff.
"Iruka? Concerned about me? That's funny since every time I saw him, he either ignored me, scolded me or told the rest of the students to not bother with me. So sorry if I don't believe he was concerned or cared what happened to me." Naruko retorted, with the Hokage frowning at this information, making a note to talk to Iruka.
"Well I'm sorry to hear that, Naruko, but I must insist you still return to the Academy. If you wish to become a Ninja then it's important you are properly educated and form bonds with those who you'll be working alongside of when you graduate. Teamwork is one of the most important aspects when out on a mission, relying on your comrades to look out for you, just as you'll look out for them." Hiruzen explained, while Naruko looked unimpressed at his words.
'Yeah, they'll look out for me alright…look for the perfect spot to drive a kunai into my back. Or maybe they'll just leave me to fend for myself while they do nothing to help.' Naruko thought, knowing it wouldn't be good to actually say it out loud.
"I'm sorry too, old man, sorry you wasted your time coming here. But I'm not going back to the Academy, no matter what you or anyone else says or does." Naruko said, walking past the Hokage, making the aged Kage sigh in resignation that she's forcing his hand.
"Then I'm afraid I'll have to take your monthly stipend." Stated Hiruzen, the Uzumaki freezing at hearing this before she turned and glared at him.
"What?! You can't do that!" Said Naruko, not believing he'd take away the only money she gets to take care of herself.
"I can actually. The stipend was meant for you to take care of yourself, buying you food, clothes and other essentials, as well as paying for your apartment. However, it wasn't meant to last forever, once you became a Ninja and began completing mission you would be paid and no longer require a stipend. But if you have no intention of returning to the Academy so you may graduate and become a Ninja, then I will have to withdraw that stipend." Sarutobi replied, not wanting to do it, but if he needed to force Naruko back to the Academy then he will.
"So you'll take away my only means of supporting myself, just so I'll go back to a place where no one wants me around?! Why?!" Naruko demanded clenching her fists tightly, resisting the growing urge to grab him and watch him blow into pieces.
"It's just important that you become a Ninja, Naruko." Said the Hokage, only for Naruko's glare to intensify.
"That's not an answer! Why do I have to be a Ninja?! What's so special about me that you want me to be a Ninja?!" Said Naruko, wanting to know what it was about her that made it so she needed to be a Ninja.
She doubted it was because of her Bakuton, since if it was then she likely would be in trouble for killing Hibachi and his friends, but so far the Hokage hasn't mentioned it. Meaning that there must be something else, something he knew but she didn't.
"It just is. All you need to know is you must become a Ninja and help defend the village." Sarutobi said, knowing he couldn't tell her about her status nor her heritage so soon.
"So you do know something! What is it?! What does everyone else know about me that I don't?! Is it the reason I'm hated?!" Naruko said, glaring furiously at the Sandaime who remained stone-faced.
"You'll know when the time is right and you can handle the information." Said Sarutobi, with Naruko glaring at him for a few moments before eventually she scoffed.
"You know what, keep your damn stipend then. I was perfectly fine before I met you and started getting it, I'll be fine without it or you." Naruko said coldly, causing Hiruzen to falter at her words.
Even more so when the whiskered blonde brushed past him and began packing her belongings.
"Wh-what are you doing, Naruko?" Hiruzen asked warily, knowing if she's planning on leaving the village then he will have to stop her.
"What does it look like, Hokage-sama? I'm packing my stuff since I'm going to be getting kicked out of this place at the end of the month, if I can't pay rent. So, I'm going back to the forest, I survived there on my own before, I'll do it again." Said Naruko, even feeling good about staying in the forest, she'll finally be away from the constant stares and whispers.
"Naruko I can't let you just-" Hiruzen said, putting a hand on her shoulder, only to recoil when Naruko slapped it away.
"You can't tell me what to do! I'm not a Ninja so you aren't my boss, you also aren't my guardian and sure as hell aren't my parent! You aren't anything to me!" Naruko spat, making the Sandaime flinch at her words, feeling hurt and saddened at them.
"Naruko despite what you might think, everything I have done is for your own safety. If I have kept anything from you, then it's because I wished for you to have a normal childhood and not be burdened by such knowledge." Said Sarutobi, hoping to try and placate her, only for Naruko to glare at him.
"Normal?! Nothing about my life has ever been normal! Parents tell their kids not to play with me, people look at me like I'm a monster, I can barely go shopping without being told to get out of stores! Does that count as a normal childhood to you?!" Demanded Naruko, glaring at the Hokage as he remained silent, with the whiskered blonde scoffing as she continued packing her stuff.
Once she finished, Naruko went over to the door and opened it, turning and glaring at Sarutobi one last time.
"Thank you, Hokage-sama. You showed me that no one in this village ever cared about me, the villagers want nothing to do with me and you just want to use me. And you thought I would ever want to protect this place? Tsk…what a joke." Naruko scoffed before slamming the door shut behind her.
Only to grunt and rub her eyes, feeling that strange stinging sensation in them again that she felt just before killing Hibachi and his friends. Not seeing her eyes flash red, something the Hokage missed as well after she turned her back on him and left.
While back in the apartment, the Sandaime couldn't believe what just happened, not expecting Naruko to actually choose to leave rather than return to the Academy.
'What have I done?' Sarutobi thought, realizing that by pushing her to return to the Academy without an explanation, he only pushed Naruko further away and he wasn't sure if there'd be a way to pull her back.
*Timeskip-Two Weeks*
Two weeks had passed since Naruko left her apartment and began living in the woods, having managed to locate a good sized cave to set up a camp inside. Doing what she could to hide the entrance as well, refusing to take any risks of someone finding her.
Once she set up her camp in the cave, Naruko went out and began setting up some traps in the forest, both to catch some food and traps for anyone trying to find her. Along with collecting some vines she tied together into some nets to catch fish in the nearby river.
Naruko had been pleased once she had everything set up, knowing she'd survive just fine on her own, without the Hokage or anyone else helping her. But that didn't mean she still didn't go into the village, only doing so at night when no one was around. Going to different shops to steal anything she couldn't get in the forest, not really caring if it was wrong.
Everyone in Konoha had taken enough from her, so it's only fair she started taking from them now too.
After getting properly settled and everything set up, Naruko had finished reading the books and continued her training. Starting with learning to use her Chakra without it blowing up anything it touches, which proved harder than she thought.
Until she remembered the Chakra Control book said that an important part is remaining calm and focused, due to Chakra being partly made of Spiritual Energy. Leading to Naruko trying to focus purely on the Spiritual Energy aspect of Chakra, rather than the physical aspect. Being pleased that she was able to make some progress in at least delaying the explosion, though couldn't stop it completely, yet.
It did at least allow Naruko to start doing the Leaf Concentration Exercise, working on keeping a leaf stuck to her forehead with Chakra. Which also doubled as training to keep the leaf from exploding, before needing to throw it away to avoid it blowing up while on her head.
As for Surface Walking, Naruko wanted to hold off on doing that until she didn't have to worry about blowing up any tree she uses. Doubting she'll be able to stay hidden if trees keep blowing up every time she tries walking up them.
While she might not be making a lot of progress, Naruko was pleased with the progress she was making, knowing it'll start building up over time.
Now though, Naruko was currently checking her traps and snares to see what she caught and will be eating later, having managed to catch a few rabbits and squirrels. Only to pause and look around at her surroundings with a frown before sighing in annoyance.
'I swear if some animal steals these, then I'm going to blow something up, or someone.' Naruko thought while tying her game together and hanging them on a branch high enough off the ground.
Before the Uzumaki reached into a pouch strapped to the back of her waist, pulling out a handful of small rocks, having taken to carrying them around as ammo. Tossing them around her hand for a moment as she put some Chakra into them, Naruko quickly tossed them behind her and took off running. Not even staying to watch as the rocks exploded around her, already hearing her pursuers chasing after her.
Pulling out a kunai, Naruko cut a rope as she ran past it with a large log swinging right towards her, only for her to drop to the ground and slide under it. While running her hand along it as it passed over her, before she jumped back up and kept running, with the log exploding soon after.
Though Naruko soon yelped when she tripped on a wire, crying out when a sack rose up underneath her, trapping the whiskered blonde inside of it. With three Anbu wearing blank masks soon reached her, only for the ground to suddenly collapse underneath them into a large pit. While Naruko stepping out from a behind a tree with a smirk, looking down into the pit to see the Anbu struggling to escape the mixture of mud, tree sap, honey and molasses.
"So, I take it you three were sent by the Hokage." Naruko stated while looking down at the Anbu, causing them to look up at her.
"Naruko Uzumaki, our leader has ordered your immediate return to Konoha." Said one of the Anbu, with Naruko raising a brow at how…dead their voice sounded, having expected at least a little annoyance at the current situation.
"Well I hate to disappoint, but your leader isn't the boss of me. And I'd say you can tell him that, but you've seen what I can do so…" Said Naruko before cutting a rope, causing the sack to fall into the pit, revealing she used a Substitution Jutsu to switch with a log.
"…Boom." Naruko said throwing the kunai in next before walking away, not even flinching as the pit exploded and buried the Anbu, if they survived the explosion that is.
Following the path she took, Naruko found two more Anbu that were taken out by the exploding log, seeing they were wearing blank masks too. Frowning as she saw their uniforms were also different from what she's seen Anbu wearing.
'Okay…I'm getting the feeling who their leader is, it's not the Hokage. Great, someone else that believes they can control me.' Naruko thought in annoyance before she looted the bodies to see if they had anything useful, before channeling some Chakra into them
Once that was done she went to go finish collecting her game, while wondering just who else could be trying to drag her back to Konoha. Knowing she'll really need to step up her training if she's going to have Anbu sent after her, doubting she'll be able to rely on her traps all the time.
*Timeskip-Two Years*
She really hated how they had to retreat when they did, just when she was starting to have some real fun and got to steal Captain Doggy's Bankai too. She had been eager to test it out and see what she could do with the giant, even more so to see how she could use The Explode with it.
'I bet I could've taken down the entire Seireitei myself with doggy's Bankai and The Explode.' She thought while smiling wickedly at the idea of blowing up the Seireitei in an instant.
"Everyone raise your crosses!" Said Haschwalth, pulling her from her thoughts before saluting along with everyone else as His Majesty, Yhwach, walked to the center of the stage.
"Salute His Majesty, Yhwach!" Haschwalth said as all the Quincies did so as Yhwach turned to address them.
"Sternritters, I see you're all here." Yhwach stated, making her do a quick glance at all the Sternritters lined up.
'Most of us anyway.' She thought, noticing a few were missing and likely lying dead somewhere in the Seireitei.
"A thousand years ago, we suffered a savage attack. We Quincies were viciously set upon by the Shinigami. In that assault, we lost many of our comrades and our very existence was threatened. We survived by hiding in the Schatten Bereich. We endured extreme humiliation and we waited a thousand years, but very soon the final battle will commence. The time has now come. We will destroy the Soul Society, annihilate the Shinigami and reinstate the honor of the Quincies." Yhwach declared, she could feel herself grinning eagerly for the chance to go back and finish the slaughter, to show those Shinigami who's truly superior.
"But before that battle begins, I have an announcement to make. Step forth." Said Yhwach, looking off to the side, confusing everyone at who he's addressing before they heard footsteps.
'Who the hell is this guy? And why's he on stage with His Majesty?' She wondered, frowning at the teenage boy that appeared wearing the standard Wandenreich uniform.
"This is Uryū Ishida. He is the last surviving Quincy in this entire world, and hereby, I decree that he shall officially be named as my successor." Yhwach declared, much to the shock of the entire Sternritters.
"His Majesty successor?" She said in disbelief, that Yhwach would choose someone none of them have even heard of his successor, hearing several Sternritters voicing their own disbelief and confusion.
"There will be no objections. I won't stand for it. There is also no need for any concern whatsoever. In the battles that are soon to come, all of you will quickly learn firsthand of his powers. That is all." Said Yhwach before taking his leave, with Uryū following close behind him.
Once Yhwach was out of the sight and the door closed behind him and Uryū, she couldn't stop herself from groaning in annoyance and storming away.
"Ugh! This makes no sense." She said, not believing they were now expected to obey some unknown Quincy just because Yhwach chose him as his successor.
'He's probably going senile, that's why he needs a successor! And probably even chose one randomly!' She thought, annoyed and frustrated at this announcement, before she stopped and pointed at one of the foot soldiers.
"Hey, you." She said, making the soldier flinch before addressing her.
"Uh, yes!" Said the soldier nervously.
"I'm in a bad mood, so come to my room right now." She ordered, needing some special relief after dealing with this stupidity.
"Uh, it would be my honor!" The soldier said, now sounding too eager for her taste, but that'll just make it more fun for her.
Heading to her room, she tossed her cloak on the table and hopped up onto it, watching as the soldier came in, looking eager and hopeful for something he won't be getting.
"Well? Do you need an invitation, take off your shirt." She said unzipping her own, displaying her large breasts and cleavage, much to his excitement.
"Y-yes madam!" The soldier said, removing his jacket and shirt.
"Good, now put them over there, I'll need them to clean up the mess." She said, motioning off to the side, with the soldier doing so but looked at her in confusion.
"O-of course! But…what me-" The soldier said, only to gag as she flicked her hand up, vertically bisecting him, feeling a little better as she watched both halves of his body hit the ground.
'These dumbasses never learn.' She thought, not even feeling her usual enjoyment after killing someone, instead wondering just how stupid these guys can be to keep falling for the same trick.
Granted they also can't exactly disobey an order from a superior, but they really shouldn't be so eager thinking they're actually going to get anything from her besides a quick death.
'Ah well, one less moron anyway.' She thought, zipping her shirt back up just as her door opened to see Candice, Liltotto, Meninas and Giselle walk in.
Though when she saw Giselle, she couldn't help but feel a sudden surge of fear and pure hatred at the sight of them.
"Ah, come on! Look at the mess you made again, really?!" Said Candice in annoyance at seeing she killed another guy.
"Classic…" Giselle stated, not surprised at the sight, though for some reason she couldn't hear the name she said.
"At least I kept his mess inside." She said while grabbing her cloak, having at least stopped killing guys on the spot and instead bring them to her room, making it easier to clean up.
"In or out, who cares?! Look, you really need to do something about your urge to kill hot guys whenever you get pissed off." Candice said, not liking that she keeps killing all the good-looking ones.
"Whatever. What do you want?" She said, still feeling some annoyance and wasn't in the mood to deal with Candice's tantrum.
"Bazz-B is still spouting off and causing a big commotion over there." Liltotto said dryly.
"Why not join him? You must be pretty pissed too, right?" Questioned Candice, knowing out of all of them she'd be the angered by the announcement.
"Not really. So stupid." She said dismissively.
She honestly didn't care who Yhwach chose as his successor, whether it's this Ishida guy, Haschwalth or hell even Bazz-B. What she cared about is the future of Wandenreich under some stranger and what it'll mean for them.
But as long as she still got to have her fun killing Shinigami and blowing stuff up, she didn't care who was giving the orders. And if someone got in her way, then it's just another body to add to the pile.
Naruko's eyes flew open, groaning as she woke up from another strange dream.
'That's…what…the third, fourth, one in the past two years. And I still have no idea what they're supposed to mean.' Thought Naruko while rubbing her eyes, wondering why she keeps having these weird dreams.
They're always the same, as if she's someone else and fighting against people, these…Shinigami with their strange transforming swords. Or she's with these other people all wearing the same white uniform or variations of it, and they're all called…Quincies, with some of them having special powers. And her…she still had the power to blow stuff up, blowing up anything her Reishi touches.
'Chakra, anything my Chakra touches.' Naruko thought, shaking her head as she stood up.
Only to shiver at remembering her latest dream and that…person, Giselle, just thinking the name made Naruko feel like she wanted to throw up and curl up into a ball. But at the same time she felt pure hatred for them as well, desiring nothing more than to blow them into tiny little pieces. And those other girls, Candice, Liltotto and Meninas, thinking of them left a feeling a pain and betrayal, and anger. Not as great as with Giselle, but still enough that she either wanted them dead or to suffer like she did.
'But…how did I suffer? And how do I even know their names?' Thought Naruko, frowning in confusion, knowing for fact she's never met anyone by those names nor even seen any girls that look like them.
Before the Uzumaki shook her head from the confusing thoughts and stood up, looking out the cave to see it's still nighttime, making her sigh.
'There's no way I'm gonna be able to go back to sleep. Maybe a walk will help clear my head.' Naruko thought while reaching to grab her cloak, only to pause when she looked at it.
Over the past two years, Naruko had begun growing more thanks to her training, along with thanks to now eating meat and fish along with wild fruits and vegetables she's gathered. Something she didn't expect but was pleased by, seeing she's begun developing more now that she's eating more than ramen cups.
Not to say she still doesn't indulge her favorite food, always making sure to steal some whenever she goes to the village at night for supplies, it's just no longer the only thing she eats anymore.
But this also meant she's had to get some new clothes as well to better fit her, having never really thought of the clothes she takes as long as they fit. Only after her latest dream, she couldn't help but look at what she's now wearing.
With her wearing white knee-high boots with red trimming, black spandex shorts under a white miniskirt, a white zip-up shirt underneath a white thigh-length trench coat with a red swirl on the back and white gloves with red trimming. Along with having even gotten a white cap with a black rim and a red swirl emblazoned on the front.
She even got a new cloak, a long white high-collared cloak with two buttons to keep it around herself.
'Just like…before…?' Naruko thought, grabbing the cloak and looked at the back, as if expecting to find an insignia on it only to not see anything, making her shake her head.
'I'm going crazy, I swear I'm going crazy.' Thought Naruko, throwing the cloak over her shoulders and exited the cave, really needing some fresh air to clear her head.
Walking through the forest, Naruko let her mind instead wander to the past two years and everything that's happened since she first had to deal with those strange Anbu.
That hadn't been the last time she's had to deal with them either, with more having shown up trying to force her back to Konoha to meet their mysterious leader. Having lead most of them into her traps before finishing them off with her explosions. Though she did have a few close calls when they almost caught her, but she was able to take them out by flaring her Chakra to blow them up.
They also weren't the only ones she's had to deal with though, as the Hokage also sent Ninja out to try and find her to bring her back. Just like the Anbu she dealt with them, refusing to let any of them escape to tell the Hokage or this other person where she is.
But unlike the Anbu, the times she didn't immediately kill them, the Ninja proved much more talkative after certain…persuasive techniques.
'Amazing what you can learn after making someone watch their comrades be blown to bits, along with having a limb or two blown off.' Naruko thought while smirking sadistically, having gotten good at making the Ninja squeal and tell her anything she wants to know.
Maybe she's started enjoying torturing and killing them a little too much, but it's not her fault if they believe she'll let them go once they tell her what she wants. Which only makes it more fun once they do and she kills them anyway. Besides, with how the majority of these Ninja had treated her prior to leaving the village, they were paying a debt that they owed in blood as far as she's concern.
And from what she's learned so far, the Hokage is getting really desperate to find her, which she still doesn't know why as the Ninja are surprisingly tight-lipped about that. No matter what parts of them she blows off, they refuse to tell her. Whether it's out of loyalty to the Hokage or spite to keep her in the dark, Naruko doesn't know, but it annoys her either way.
Which usually leads to her making their deaths extra violent.
Aside from those incidents, her training has also progressed nicely, having finally reached the point where she can willingly trigger her explosions after the first year. Letting the whiskered blonde be able to finally begin learning Surface Walking and Water Walking without fear of causing any unintended explosions.
Having managed to master the three Chakra Control Exercises before beginning to move on to more advance ones. With one involving balancing kunai on your fingertips using the right amount of Chakra to keep it in place and not move. With too little Chakra making the kunai fall and too much could send it flying away.
Naruko was hoping to get to the point of being able to balance a kunai on each of her fingers and be able to spin them around using her Chakra. Once she's able to do that, she planned to move on to repeating the process with shuriken and senbon needles.
She'd also expanded her training, having developed an interest in Kenjutsu and Kyūjutsu, intrigued by the idea of launching waves of explosive Chakra with a sword, and firing explosive arrows with a bow. Even better when she learned about Shape Transformation, wondering if she could create weapons from her own Chakra. That being another thing she learned about after getting some more books from the library, Shape Transformation and Nature Transformation. Both of which went into how Ninja performed Ninjutsu, with Shape Transformation being what controls the form, movement and potency of ones Chakra, determining the size, range and purpose of the technique being performed.
While Nature Transformation is what changes the actual attribute of the Chakra, altering the properties and characteristics. Usually changing it into one of the five Elemental Affinities consisting of Fire, Wind, Water, Earth and Lightning.
Even better that Shape Transformation is another advanced form of Chakra Control, so Naruko hoped to master it and be able to shape her Chakra anyway she wanted. As for the Nature Transformation, the whiskered blonde chose to hold off on that training until she's older and was able to learn what her Affinities were. Knowing she at least had Earth and Lightning Affinities, thanks to her variation of the Bakuton, but wanted to see if she had any others.
Plus there were a few techniques that Naruko had begun developing herself, the ideas for them having just come to her and began working on learning them.
It pleased Naruko how far she's progressed in her training, knowing she'll only keep getting stronger as she continues growing.
'But I also know there's only so much I can do with just training. If I really want to reach my full potential, I'm going to need experience.' Naruko thought while frowning, aware that she'll eventually need to get experience fighting opponents, otherwise she'll just start stagnating from just training,
The Uzumaki was pulled from her thoughts when she heard something, making her tense as she could sense two people nearby, only to suddenly feel one of the signatures disappear. Looking to where the remaining signature was, Naruko jumped into the trees and headed towards it, not wanting to take the chance of someone finding her hideout.
Arriving at the source in a few moments, Naruko raised a brow when she saw a Konoha Ninja with two large shuriken on his back standing over the body of who she guessed was an Academy student, with a large scroll on the ground next to them.
'Okay…not what I was expecting, but also not very surprising either.' Naruko thought as she wasn't even surprised a Ninja would kill an Academy student for whatever reason, knowing that comrades will just abandon you and stab you in the back the moment you let your guard down around them, most likely for whatever the scroll was.
"Oi." Naruko said, pulling out a rock and charging it with the Ninja turning towards her, his eyes widening at the sight of the Uzumaki.
"Yo-" Said the Ninja before choking when Naruko flicked the rock straight into his mouth once she had a good shot.
"Don't forget to swallow." Said Naruko, watching as the upper half of the Ninja exploded, leaving just his legs before they fell to the ground.
Jumping down from the tree, Naruko ripped off part of the dead students shirt, wiping off the blood on the scroll before picking it up.
'Okay, let's see what this thing is.' Naruko thought going over to a tree, sitting against it and opened the scroll.
But the moment she opened the scroll and saw everything that was inside of it, Naruko couldn't help but smirk excitedly at the prize she just found.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we first see Naruko having a rather strange dream of fighting people called Shinigami before being confronted by a wolf/dog creature she somehow knows the name of, only to soon wake up, being confused at her dream. Before she hears someone knocking at the door and goes to see, surprised find the Hokage on the other side.
With it not taking long to learn why he's there as he asks why she's not going to the Academy, leading to Naruko refusing to return after what happened with Hibachi, along with believing Iruka still doesn't care about her despite the Hokage's words. Only for Hiruzen to begin insisting she return, even threatening to take away her monthly stipend, much to Naruko's anger he's trying to force her, not helped that he won't tell her why exactly it's so important she becomes a Ninja.
Leading to Naruko to simply leave and live in the forest, seeing that no one in Konoha will ever care about her, with even the Hokage only wanting to use her. Neither of them noticing Naruko's eyes flashing red as she feels them stinging (something that'll come into play later). While the Hokage wonders just what he's done.
Then we see Naruko making preparations to survive in the forest and continue her training, only going to Konoha to steal supplies and things she can't get in the forest, making a good set up for herself. Only to be attacked by Anbu, who she leads into traps and deals with while finding out they serve someone besides the Hokage, much to her annoyance at someone else targeting her.
Next we have a two year timeskip and Naruko having another strange dream, seeing people she somehow knows the names of, killing someone as a form of stress relief and a group of girls that make her feel pain, betrayal and hatred, especially the one called Giselle. Before she heads out to clear her head, while noticing the new clothes she's begun wearing are similar to the ones she's seen in her dreams.
We also learn what Naruko's been doing the past two years, the training she's completed and new ones she's started, developing an interest in Kenjutsu and Kyūjutsu, along with Shape Manipulation. As well as having dealt with more Anbu sent after her and Ninja sent by the Hokage, all of who she's killed, having a developed a darker, more sadistic personality.
Finally we see Naruko stumbling onto Mizuki killing a student he tricked into stealing the Forbidden Scroll (given he wouldn't have Naruko around to trick, he made his move two years early after tricking the first student he could find). With Naruko killing him and taking the scroll for herself, being excited with the prize she's gained. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
