Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing the fallout of the Konoha Crush, along with Naruko's explosions further destroying the village, as well as seeing the reactions of it from some others. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
"Wood Style: Serial Pillar Houses Jutsu!" Said Tenzō, making a handsign as multiple houses rose from the ground on either side of him.
With it taking longer than usual for him to completely form the houses, panting heavily once they were fully formed. Before pulling out some Soldier Pills and eating them, feeling his exhaustion quickly vanish and his Chakra be refilled.
'Okay that…that should be enough houses and buildings for the time being.' Tenzō thought while looking around the surrounding clearing of the Forest of Death's Tower, seeing dozens of houses and other buildings he's created over the past couple of days.
There were also more buildings and houses within walking distance of the tower, not wanting to build everything so close together that it'd get cramped. But at the same time he couldn't create any buildings too far away from the tower, given the Forest of Death is still incredibly dangerous.
'But hopefully soon it'll start getting safer once we get back on out feet and set up some defenses. Speaking of which…' Tenzō thought before turning to some of the surviving Ninja that'd be helping him with the defenses.
"Alright, it's time to get a wall up, everyone spread out around the perimeter and get ready to use the Mud Wall Jutsu!" Ordered Tenzō, knowing with all the buildings so far, now it's time to begin working on the defenses.
"Hai, Tenzō-senpai!" Said the Ninja before they all began spreading out around the perimeter of the growing settlement, with Tenzō joining them as he went to the spot where he'd be setting up the gate for the wall.
"On my mark…get ready…now! Earth Style: Mud Wall Jutsu!" Said Tenzō, going through handsigns with the Ninja all doing the same, before they all slammed their hands on the ground.
The ground shook for a few moments as all around the tower and buildings, a giant stone wall began rising up around them. With it rising higher and higher until Tenzō called for them to stop, knowing it'd at least keep anyone from getting over it. The only opening left being in front of Tenzō where he'd put the gate.
"Now…the next step. Wood Style: Nativity of a Sea of Trees!" Tenzō said, causing dozens of trees to begin growing along the wall, reinforcing it and helping to camouflage it with the surrounding forest.
Before the Anbu clapped his hands together, causing two wooden gates to emerge from either side of the wall and seal the opening.
'Not…not done…yet.' Tenzō thought while breathing heavily, already feeling his Chakra Reserves quickly diminishing again, before eating another Soldier Pill for the last Jutsu and jumping up to the top of the wall.
"Wood Style: Four Pillar Prison Jutsu!" Said Tenzō before creating numerous lookout boxes all around the wall, with them being big enough for people to stand in, along with them being hidden thanks to the trees along the wall.
Once that was done, Tenzō jumped back to the ground before collapsed in exhaustion as he sat against the wall as he panted heavily, relieved he'll be able to at least take a short break at the moment.
"Kurenai, it's yours and the others turn now. There should be enough lookouts for you all to set up your Genjutsu." Tenzō said over the radio as, with the wall up, they can now set up a Genjutsu Barrier to keep all of them hidden.
"Understood Tenzō, we're moving into position now." Kurenai replied, with Tenzō looking to see some Ninja going up the wall to the lookouts he created to begin casting the Genjutsu, while knowing Kurenai is at the top of the tower with some others doing the same.
Though despite the progress they're making in getting settled into the new location and setting up the defenses, Tenzō couldn't help but sigh and smacked his head against the wall.
'Hard to imagine so many things could change in such a short amount of time.' Tenzō thought, honestly still reeling from the fact Konoha was destroyed.
Konohagakure, once considered the strongest of the Five Great Hidden Villages, only rivaled by Kumogakure in military power. While also being the most populated of the Ninja Village, with them having had a population in the hundreds of thousands.
But now, less than a week ago, a once powerful and thought to be unstoppable village had been reduced to just a few hundred people. The Konoha Crush and the explosions that had devastated the village having left them all barely hanging on by a thread. Forcing the survivors to retreat the tower in the center of their most dangerous Training Ground.
As while the tower also served as the stage for the Second Stage of the Chūnin Exams when Konoha hosted them, it also served as a contingency plan. With the tower meant to be used as a stronghold and command center, as well as having underground catacombs below the Forest of Death, in the event the village was ever invaded and compromised. They'd have a place to fall back on should such a thing ever happen.
And in the worst case scenario, where Konoha would slowly rebuild itself.
'And this is certainly the worst case scenario.' Thought Tenzō while sighing tiredly, wondering how things could've gone so wrong and hoping that they won't get any worse.
*With Kakashi*
Meanwhile, within the tower, Kakashi Hatake was hard at work on his own task, rebuilding Konoha's Jutsu Library due to the loss of the Forbidden Scroll.
'Over a thousand Jutsu copied, yet it still won't come close to everything the Forbidden Scroll held within it.' Kakashi thought while sighing as he wrote down all the Jutsu he's ever copied, making sure to make spares of every scroll, and then more spares for the spares.
After losing the Forbidden Scroll, they didn't want to take any chances of losing any other Jutsu, especially if something happened to him. Taking away the only person that could write them all down, should anything happen to the copies he's made.
There were also other Ninja helping him, mostly those that have been around just as long, if not longer than him. With them adding their own decent number of Jutsu to add to the library. But the Copy Ninja was the one putting in the most work due to all the Jutsu he's copied with his Sharingan.
"Kakashi-senpai, where should the Clan Techniques go?" Someone asked, making Kakashi look up for a moment.
"Make sure they're separated from the rest and organized into different sets for each clan. We don't want them getting mixed up with the rest or risk someone learning them, if they aren't part of said clan." Replied Kakashi, having also copied some Clan Techniques, by accident, given how he can't control what his Sharingan can or can't copy once he sees a Jutsu he has it memorized.
'Never thought the ones I copied would ever be used like this. But hopefully it'll help appease the clan members to know not all their Techniques lost…at least those that are still alive and here.' Thought Kakashi, knowing many of the clans had been devastated by the Konoha Crush, with the survivors having joined them in the Forest of Death.
Kakashi couldn't help but sigh as he got back to writing down the Jutsu he knew, hoping that they'll be able to get some form of good news soon.
*With Jiraiya*
'This is why I never wanted this job.' Jiraiya thought while sighing as he sat in his temporary office at the top of the tower, performing his duties as Hokage.
Though if he's lucky, the Toad Sannin is hoping it'll only be a temporary position rather than permanent, that is if his plans work out the way he's hoping they do. But in the meantime, he intended to do what he can to ensure the survivors of the Konoha Crush can get back on their feet to begin rebuilding Konoha.
'At least I don't have those old vultures breathing down my neck.' Thought Jiraiya, having learned Koharu and Homura had been among the casualties of the explosions that went off during the invasion.
The only downside is that Danzō hadn't been among those that died. Since once all of Konoha's dirty secrets had been released, the Darkness of Shinobi had no choice but to flee. With all the people calling for his head, to the point where not even the Sandaime could ignore Danzō's crimes anymore. Not unless he wanted to face a potential civil war.
'You should've just killed him years ago Sarutobi-sensei, maybe then we wouldn't be in this mess. And if you had just killed Orochimaru when you had the chance…then again, I wasn't much better...' Jiraiya thought with a frown, knowing his old teacher had been far too sentimental to the wrong people and now they're all paying the price.
But he also wouldn't ignore his own blame in this.
Jiraiya knew if he tried harder to find Orochimaru and take him out, if he hadn't let his own personal feelings get the better of him when he first confronted his former teammate after his defection, then this could've been avoided. The only positive is that Hiruzen was able to take Orochimaru down with him during their battle. From what the Anbu who observed the fight reported, the explosions that went off during the invasion distracted Orochimaru long enough for the Sandaime to kill him.
'And that's another problem…who caused the explosions?' Thought Jiraiya as his frown deepened.
He knew some of the survivors simply blamed Orochimaru, since it'd make sense for him to have placed explosives around the village in preparation for his invasion. Jiraiya, though, wasn't sure it was his former teammate for a few reasons.
The first being that if Orochimaru is the one who triggered the explosions, why didn't he set them off right from the start, causing maximum destruction and death. Instead they'd been set off near the end, when the invasion was all but over. Not to mention why he would be surprised by the explosions in the first place, if he's the one who set them up.
Another being just where the explosions went off, while some important locations had been destroyed, most notably the Hokage Monument. Which had been a serious blow to the village's morale, not helped by the loss of all the villagers that had been in the shelter hidden within it right before the explosions went off.
But other than that, they'd simply been too random to have been planned out, whoever set them up didn't care where or what was destroyed. They had simply been focused on destroying the village, having no target beyond causing more destruction than what was happening.
It showed Jiraiya that someone else had targeted Konoha, he just had no idea who or for what reason, which only worried him more at some unknown person being capable of such destruction. Not doubting that even if Oto and Suna hadn't invaded, those explosions still would've devastated the village.
'It could have been the same person who stole the Forbidden Scroll, which did go missing around two years before the Exams. Which would also mean whoever did this could've been planning it out for years, studying Konoha's defenses, even walking around the village with no one the wiser. And if someone could that…' Jiraiya thought, not sure what else they could be capable of.
Especially if they do have the Forbidden Scroll, making them all the more dangerous.
Before he shook his head, knowing he didn't have time to worry about any other enemies when he still needed to focus on making sure they survived long enough to fight their enemies.
'And right now, the most important thing is finding a real Hokage that can lead us. Cause there's no way I can do this fulltime, especially not when we need my spy network now more than ever.' Thought Jiraiya, already knowing who they needed to be the next Hokage.
His other teammate and fellow Sannin, Tsunade.
Not only is she the granddaughter and grand-niece of the Shodai and Nidaime Hokage, she's the student of the Sandaime, an experienced Ninja and the greatest Medic-Ninja in the world. She isn't only the strong and capable leader they desperately need right now, but her knowledge of Medical Ninjutsu will be vital for their long-term survival.
'I just need to find her first, but after I make sure everyone here will be able to survive long enough without me first, and hopefully convince her to come back.' Jiraiya thought, also knowing that convincing Tsunade to return will be the hard part.
The Toad Sannin then looked up when an Anbu appeared in front of him, handing him a report.
"Jiraiya-sama, here's the latest report on the defenses. Tenzō and some of the others have put up a wall around the tower and settlement, as well as set up lookouts around the perimeter. While Kurenai and the other Genjutsu-users have finished setting up a barrier around us, that'll keep us hidden and deter anyone that tries getting close." Said the Anbu, with Jiraiya nodding in approval as he looked over the report.
Between the forest and now the barrier, it'll be near impossible for anyone to find them, but that doesn't mean they could grow complacent. There's always a risk of discovery, and they needed to be fully prepared for anything.
"Excellent. Have teams of two Chūnin positioned in the lookouts and to remain in constant radio contact for anything suspicious. Should a team not report in, then it should be treated as a full-scale emergency. As for the gates, have Izumo and Kotetsu guard them and be on the lookout for anything." Jiraiya ordered, not doubting Izumo and Kotetsu won't like being back on gate guarding duty, but with the circumstances no one can complain about what position they have at the moment.
*With Sakura and Ino*
While in one of the rooms in the tower, Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka both sat on their beds in silence. Neither of them having said much since the invasion and everything that happened, still reeling from everything they saw, their home being destroyed and being relocated to the Forest of Death.
Not accounting the…other things that happened during the invasion.
"…So…are we finally going to talk about it?" Sakura asked while glancing at Ino, with the Yamanaka snorting in response.
"What? The fact our home is a pile of smoking ruins with explosions serving as the final nail in the coffin. Or the fact that I can now control lightning and you could probably throw a building with one hand." Ino said sarcastically while holding up a hand as lightning sparked around it.
It happened during the invasion with the chaos happening all around them, the Oto and Suna Ninja attacking and killing everyone. And then both of them nearly dying, Ino with helping evacuate civilians to the shelters only for the Oto and Suna Ninja to attack. While Sakura had followed after Satsuki on Kakashi's orders with Shikamaru and Kiba, believing the Uchiha had left to go fight Gaara, only for Satsuki to have simply left. Leaving the pinkette to nearly be crush by the Suna Jinchūriki.
They only survived due to Ino suddenly shooting a bolt of lightning at her attackers, which had been strong enough to vaporize them. While Sakura gained a burst of strength to break free from Gaara's sand, before Jiraiya arrived and dealt with Gaara.
But it had only been when they saw the explosions going off around the village, the pillars of blue fire, the large amount of Reishi within them that they realized what happened and who they were.
Who they had been, The Thunderbolt Candice Catnipp and The Power Meninas McAllon.
Which did help explain the strange dreams they had been having during the month break leading up to the Third Stage of the Chūnin Exams.
It had been a shock for them both once they had time to fully process what happened, part of them being glad at the power they awakened. Another part hating they didn't awaken sooner to help make a difference in the Konoha Crush.
And then there's the part when they saw the explosions going off, the realization of who caused them, something that terrified them both at knowing what it meant.
"The fact that Bambi is here too, and that she's likely stronger than ever." Sakura stated, making Ino sigh and smack her head against the wall.
"Don't let her hear you say that, her ego's already big enough." Ino said in an attempt to lighten the mood, despite how nervous she was at the idea of Bambietta being even stronger than she already was.
There was a reason none of them ever challenged her, whenever she claimed to be their leader. Because no matter what they all knew, Bambietta was the strongest among their group.
Learning she's here too, and likely awakened her memories much sooner than them, meaning she's had much more time to train and remaster her abilities. It terrified them both to imagine what Bambietta could be capable of now, if her display with her explosions around Konoha is anything to go by.
"We're so fucking dead." Ino muttered, both of them knowing full-well that if Bambietta discovers they've been reincarnated as well, she will kill them.
"We did abandon her to fight that Shinigami Captain alone, which nearly killed her, and then did nothing when Giselle killed her before turning her into one of her zombies." Added Sakura, also knowing they couldn't even blame Bambietta for wanting to kill them, not after what they did.
No matter what excuses they give or if they apologize, if Bambietta is anything like she was in her first life, then nothing they say or do will stop her from killing them as brutally as possible.
"Do you think Lil and Gigi are here too?" Sakura asked looking at Ino, who merely shrugged in response.
"Probably, if the three of us are here, then they're likely somewhere out there too. And if you, me and Bambi have our memories, then it's likely they do by now or will soon." Replied Ino, with Sakura humming in thought, curious of where and who the rest of the Bambies are.
*Otogakure*
Meanwhile within the Land of Sound, Otogakure had descended into chaos after the Sound Four returned from Konoha without Orochimaru. Before they revealed that Snake Sannin had been killed by the Sandaime Hokage. The Sound Four explaining how the old man used a Kinjutsu to extract Orochimaru's soul, with him fighting it and seemed like he would've outlasted the Sandaime. Only for several explosions to go off across Konoha, something that had shocked Orochimaru enough to break his concentration. While at the same time strengthening the Hokage's determination after seeing the destruction unleashed on his village.
Allowing him to fully extract Orochimaru's soul, killing them both in the process.
It had shocked everyone to learn Orochimaru was dead, with many of his followers believing they could leave without fear of the Snake Sannin. Though this didn't last as Kimimaro Kaguya viciously slaughtered anyone that dared to even try and leave. The Kaguya filled with rage and despair at learning his master was dead, that he no longer had a purpose.
He had been tempted to simply succumb to his illness and join Orochimaru in death. Only for Guren, another of Orochimaru's most devoted followers, to arrive and help bring order to Otogakure. Just like Kimimaro, she had been devastated when she learned of Orochimaru's death, but refused to have anyone try deserting him, whether he was alive or dead.
After getting everyone back in line, Guren had gathered the Sound Four, Kimimaro, Satsuki and Orochimaru's other elite followers in the throne room of Otogakure.
"Orochimaru-sama…is gone, taken from us by the Sandaime Hokage, may he rot of whatever hell he's ended up in. And the traitor Kabuto has vanished." Guren said while scowling at the thought of Kabuto, having never liked the Medic-Nin.
She always had a feeling that he was never loyal to the Snake Sannin, and now she sees she was right.
"But that doesn't mean his Will has died with him! He gathered all of us together, created Otogakure, a force strong enough that it brought down one of the Five Great Hidden Villages! And yet we have been robbed of celebrating this victory by those who took Orochimaru-sama from us! One of them is dead, but there's still one alive!" Said Guren, with them all knowing she was talking about the one who caused the explosions that distracted Orochimaru.
The mention of this person made Kimimaro clench his fists tightly as he began breathing heavily, making the others back away, knowing the Kaguya was much more easily set off nowadays. And none of them wanted to get caught in another of his rampages.
'I'll kill them, I'll kill them! Slowly, painfully, they will scream, cry, BEG! I will make sure they suffer every agony in existence before ripping their head off!' Kimimaro mentally swore, refusing to rest until he's killed the one who took Orochimaru away.
While Satsuki glanced around the room from her spot leaning against a pillar, honestly not really caring about any of this. But she threw her lot in with Otogakure the moment she accepted Orochimaru's offer, having met the Snake Sannin in the Forest of Death. Having given her the offer of power, the chance to see Konoha destroyed for what they did to her family, and the chance to escape.
Something she accepted in a heartbeat, having been looking for the chance to leave Konoha ever since she learned the truth of how they discriminated her clan and forced her brother to kill their family. Leading to her being marked with a Curse Seal, gaining greater strength than she ever thought possible, and loved every second of it.
Though she hadn't left right away, as Orochimaru wanted her to take advantage of the month break to get as much training as she could before leaving. Which did help her get the Chidori from Kakashi, thanks to years of playing the role of being Konoha's good little, subservient, pet Uchiha. Before leaving after "taking Genma's advice to pursue Gaara" during the Konoha Crush.
But the moment she was outside of Konoha's walls, she headed straight for the Land of Sound, not caring for those that likely followed her after Gaara. Satsuki only cared that the village that took everything from her was destroyed.
'But they're not all dead, not yet. Danzō's still alive, for now.' Thought Satsuki, swearing she'll find Danzō and kill him.
As for Itachi…Satsuki's still trying to decide what to do about her brother, what she'll do when she finds him.
"And we have her, the last person Orochimaru-sama marked with a Curse Seal. The one who was meant to be his future vessel, Satsuki Uchiha." Guren said while holding an arm out towards Satsuki, making the others look at her.
Something that annoyed the Shōton-user, having hoped to become Orochimaru's successor, but knew that the Snake Sannin's more fanatical followers considered Satsuki his true successor. With it being known he wanted her as his future vessel to gain her Sharingan. That she was the last person to gain a Curse Seal before his death. Many of them believed she was his rightful successor and carried his Will.
Which Satsuki didn't mind if it helped her grow stronger, she'll let them believe whatever they want as long as it furthered her goals.
"But before we can seek vengeance on those responsible for Orochimaru-sama's death, there's much we need to do. Sakon, Ukon, Kidōmaru, Kagerō, step forward." Said Guren, with Sakon and Kidōmaru kneeling down in front of the bluenette, while the third one stepped forward from the other elite followers.
Kagerō is a young-looking girl with pale skin, pale green hair that fell down to her shoulders, with bangs framing her face and two strands hanging over her face and half-lidded purple eyes. With her only wearing a short white dress that stopped above her knees and had a single strap going over her right shoulder, and a metal choker around her neck.
She was also carrying a bag of Taiyaki which she was eating without pause, much to the annoyance of some of the others.
"You three will be locating Tsunade Senju, her expertise in Medical Ninjutsu will be useful in healing Kimimaro back to full strength." Said Guren, knowing with Kimimaro back to his full power, then there will hardly be anyone able to stand against them.
"How are we supposed to convince her to help us exactly?" Questioned Kidōmaru with a raised brow, doubting the Slug Princess would just willingly help them and it's unlikely they could force her.
Even if the entire Sound Four was sent, he doubted they would be able to beat Tsunade, let alone force her to heal Kimimaro.
"She's a known gambler and in a lot of debt. Give her these and I'm sure she'll be eager to offer her assistance. She's also supposed to be near Tanzaku Gai, go there and you'll likely find her." Said Guren while creating some crystals with her Kekkei Genkai and tossed them to the trio.
They also already had a lead on her due to Orochimaru having kept tabs on his former teammate, never knowing when he require her assistance.
"What if the old bitch still says no?" Kagerō asked bluntly as she ate.
"She also has an apprentice and a pet pig traveling with her, they aren't necessary." Guren replied, making the greenette lick her lips at the chance to have a pig as her next meal, along with wondering what Tsunade's apprentice would taste like.
*Bamboo Village*
"Please! Please I beg of you, we're sorry! We would've given you help, I swear it! But we couldn't have Kiri target our village! Please understand!" Begged Iō, the leader of Bamboo Village, as he desperately tried crawling from this…this monster that attacked his village, looking at them in sheer terror.
The monster didn't look as such, having the appearance of a ten-year-old girl with fair skin, short, neck-length, spiky light-blonde hair with two thick strands reach onto her rosy cheeks. With her wearing a black high collared sleeveless undershirt, a sleeveless pink kimono like shirt, long light grey pants, black fingerless gloves that reached her upper arm, brown pouch wrapped around her waist white bandages wrapped up to his knees on both legs, brown belt, and grey sandals. While over it all was an oversized white trench coat with long sleeves.
But it was her face that showed her true nature, with her sclera glowing bright red, dark red irises, and white pupils shaped as horizontal rectangles. And her smile, it might look sweet and innocent, but Iō saw how twisted and crazed it really was.
He knew this was no normal little girl, he honestly wasn't even sure she could be called a monster, only that she was pure and simply…evil.
"It's okay, I believe you. And I completely agree, it's always important for one to look after those they love. Which is why…I wanted to reunite you with your dear wife and Amino-chan." Said Chino, smiling sweetly at Iō, before gaining a crazed edge.
With Iō looking in horror when he saw his wife and daughter enter his home, their skin now being a dark brownish-grey color and empty, dead looks in their eyes. Even more horrifying was when he saw their throats were slashed open with blood constantly dripping out.
"Wh-wh-wh-wha…what've you done?!" Iō cried in horror and despair as his wife and daughter stalked towards him.
"Aren't you happy, you get be a whole family together again! They just need to…fix you, first. But don't worry, it'll be quick." Chino said before skipping out of the house humming a tune, even as she heard Iō screaming in agony as his zombified family killed him
While outside, Chino's smile grew as she saw the zombified Lightning Group destroying Bamboo Village, alongside the zombified En, the politicians that hired and lead them into a trap and the Kiri Ninja that wiped out most of the group.
All of them were slaughtering the rest of the citizens of Bamboo Village, with the dead ones all having her blood spilled on them, causing them to rise as zombies as well. Even those that were still alive were zombified, before then being forced to kill the rest.
"Hehehe, this is so much easier to use The Zombie with my Ketsuryūgan! It makes it so much more fun!" Said Chino as she manipulated her own blood to fly out of the cuts on her body, splattering it across the living and the dead alike.
It made the Chinoike smile happily as she remembered when she awakened and regained the memories of her past life, The Zombie Giselle Gewelle.
*Flashback*
Chino looked around in horror as her teammates, her friends, were cut down by the Kiri Ninja, despite their best efforts to fight them off. Even with their Kekkei Genkai, there were just too many Ninja attacking them.
Even her with her Ketsuryūgan couldn't keep up with them all, with only her and Fūshin being left standing with all the others either dead or dying.
Before she heard a grunt behind her and the sound of a body hitting the ground, making her look only for her eyes to widen in horror as she saw Fūshin fall to the ground with a deep slash across his chest. Leaving just her as the Kiri Ninja closed in.
'No, no, no, no, NO! They can't do this; they can't take away what's mine!' Chino thought, refusing to lose the Lightning Group, to lose Fūshin.
Until she saw the politicians that had hired the Lightning Group, the ones that tricked them into falling into this trap in the first place. When she saw them all smirking at the sight of her and her friends being murdered, Chino felt something inside her snap.
Feeling a rage unlike anything she's felt before fill her. That even after all the good they've done, this is how they were repaid, with betrayal and death. To be hunted down and slaughtered by Kirigakure, even after they already killed most of the Lightning Group.
The few that survived, including her and Fūshin, had tried escaping, going to the villages they helped, to get sanctuary from Kiri. Only for all of the villages they helped to turn them away, casting them out to fend for themselves.
It wasn't long before Kirigakure caught up to them, even worse they were with the politicians who tricked them in the first place, as if they wanted to see what their treachery caused.
All of it angered Chino, until the anger…began changing into something else, it began fading until…the Chinoike felt…excited.
The Kiri Ninja froze when they heard Chino began laughing lowly, none of them expecting her to start laughing. Before Chino lifted her head, showing a dark and twisted expression her face as her Ketsuryūgan glowed wickedly.
"Are we…having fun now?" Chino asked before blood exploded out of her body and rushed forward at the Ninja.
*End Flashback*
She had awakened her memories and The Zombie, using it with her Ketsuryūgan to zombify the Kiri Ninja and politicians, as well as the rest of the Lightning Group. Even Fūshin was zombified, as she didn't want to lose her favorite in this new world.
After that, she hunted down and zombified En as well, before she began going to all the villages that they helped and rejected them, zombifying them all, living or dead. With the Bamboo Village being her latest stop, adding them all to her growing collection of zombies.
"I can't think of anything that could make this better!" Chino said, before her smile grew when she remembered one thing that'd make this the best time of her new life.
"Bambi-chan! Ooooooh, if I'm here then that must mean Bambi-chan is here too! My all-time favorite, I can have her back and all to myself! Oooooohhh, I wonder if Bambi-chan will look just as cute here as a corpse as she did before, I wanna see!" Said Chino as she smiled madly, eager to get her real favorite back where she belongs.
*With Naruko*
Meanwhile, Naruko had just arrived in Uzushiogakure only to suddenly freeze and shiver in pure disgust, being put on edge as she felt someone was talking about her, someone she hated beyond all comprehension. And she knew only one person capable of filling her with this sense of dread, disgust and anger.
"Giselle." Naruko muttered lowly, knowing that's all the confirmation she needed to know her former teammates are here as well.
She might not be Bambietta herself, but with all the scars that her former teammates, particularly Giselle, had inflicted on her soul. They were ones that would never fade, no matter what life she lived.
'That means they're here…I'll be fixing that very soon.' Naruko thought, eager for the chance to pay them back a thousand fold for what they did to her.
Before she shook her head since right now, she still had a lot to do before she can hunt down and kill the other reincarnated Bambies. Turning towards Uzushiogakure, Naruko scowled as her anger shifted to the sight of her clan's village, with there only being ruins left and the skeletons lining the street.
Naruko chose to go to Uzushiogakure, seeing it as the perfect place to set up a base, given it's unlikely anyone would come the island nation of a destroyed village. Plus the chance she manages to find anything useful here that hadn't been looted or destroyed.
But upon seeing the state of Uzushio, the destruction that been caused by the attackers, the sight of it had enraged Naruko to no end. Seeing bodies belonging to Suna, Kiri, Iwa and some Minor Nations among the bodies of her clansmen. Her rage only growing when she spotted some bodies wearing uniforms that she recognized as Anbu, both regular ones and ROOT Anbu, along with a few Chūnin and Jōnin.
Though she did noticed compared to the other invaders, the Konoha bodies were the minority, likely wanting to keep any evidence of their involvement as minimal as possible.
'And the list of people I need to kill just keeps growing!' Thought Naruko while crushing the skull of a Iwa Ninja beneath her foot, before creating a few dozen Shadow Clones
"Start gathering up the body of our clansmen to be given a proper burial, while the invaders can be thrown into the sea and ripped apart by the whirlpools. But make sure to take anything that's still useful, before tossing them." Naruko ordered, not caring what happened to them as long as they were off her island.
Nodding, the clones got to work gathering the Uzumaki bodies and looting the rest before throwing them into the sea. While Naruko looked around at her clans homeland, going off to explore what there was to see.
Using Hirenkyaku, Naruko flew up into the air to get a better view of the island, whistling in amazement she saw just how truly massive it was. Not to mention diverse as well, seeing open plains to the west with what she guessed used to be farms, forests to the east, she could even see the northern part was a jagged, rocky terrain. While in the center of the island were several mountains and another forest that seemed as if it was hiding something within it. And even in ruins, Uzushio still looked impressive, being able to tell there had been many high-rise buildings here before being destroyed.
'I'm sure it would've been nice to see it in its prime.' Naruko thought before floating back to the ground and began walking around on foot.
Heading deeper into the island, Naruko entered the forest that surrounded the center of the island, curious of what could be in here. Only to frown as she moved through it, unable to help but feel…the whiskered blonde couldn't quite place the feeling, only that it felt like she wasn't choosing where to go.
'It feels like I'm…being guided.' Thought Naruko while looking down at her feet, only for it to seem like they now had a mind of their own as they kept going towards the strange pull that was guiding her.
While she didn't like the idea of being controlled in any way, Naruko was also curious if this was somehow connected to her clan. If they had been protecting something in the center of the island, making it so only an Uzumaki would be able to find it. Which also made her curious of what happens to any non-Uzumaki that tried entering the forest.
Naruko kept going for a few more minutes, until she soon arrived at her destination, surprised at what exactly she found.
It was a smaller, more traditional looking village built along either side of a river. Being surrounded on all sides by mountains and a waterfall at the far end of the village. While on one side of the river nestled in the trees, looking to be a temple shrine. And on the other side of the river, built against the side of a mountain and being above the other buildings, was medium-sized fortress/palace.
'Huh…not what I was expecting, but it certainly looks nice.' Naruko thought upon seeing the village was in surprisingly good condition, the only sign it was abandoned being how overgrown it was.
Heading up to the palace-looking building, Naruko went inside and looked around before nodding as she created several clones.
"Let's start cleaning this place up and setting everything out." Said Naruko, tossing them some of the scrolls with all her stuff she sealed away.
Before leaving Konoha, Naruko made sure to take everything that belonged to her, her parents, the Uzumaki Clan and the Senju Clan, everything that was hers in Konoha, she took. With her making a claim to the Senju Clan's possessions given how long it's been since Tsunade stepped foot in the village. Making it so she could claim all of it as her own, due the ties between the Uzumaki and Senju Clans.
She even discovered the Uzumaki Clan's Mask Storage Temple, taking all the masks and artifacts left within it, along with anything else hidden inside. The Uzumaki wanted to make sure she took everything that belonged to her before watching Konoha be blown sky high.
'But as long as I got this, I could live with everything else being destroyed.' Naruko thought while pulling out the scarf her mother had made for her.
It was a teal scarf with cyan stripes and thread tassels on both ends, with it being the first thing Naruko had grabbed, along with the note left with it. A note she also kept on her person, pulling it out and reading it again.
Something to keep you safe, warm and know you are always loved.
Before the whiskered blonde pocketed the scarf and note again, wanting to find a safe spot to put them, as while she'd love to be able to wear it. Naruko knew that given her fighting style, there'd be a high chance of it being damaged, which she refused to let happen. Intending to only wear it for special occasions, and when she grew strong enough that there'd be no fear of it being damaged.
Heading to join her clones in setting up her new home, Naruko paused for a moment as a new thought crossed her mind.
'I know for a fact that my so-called "friends" have been reincarnated, now. That now makes five Sternritters that have been reincarnated into this world. Five people that died during the Thousand Year Blood War.' Naruko thought, knowing while she might've died early on in the war, there's no doubt a lot more died after her.
Which now begged the question, if all the Bambies have been reincarnated…then who else is here?
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Konoha has been destroyed, with the survivors retreating to the tower in the Forest of Death, including Tenzō who's working hard to create enough homes and buildings, along with helping set up a wall around, while Kurenai and some others put up a Genjutsu Barrier.
We also see Kakashi writing down all the Jutsu he's copied with some help from a few others to recreate Konoha's Jutsu Library, but know it still won't compare to what was kept in the Forbidden Scroll. Along with seeing Jiraiya acting as a temporary Hokage, while planning to find Tsunade and convince her to take the position.
Before we also see Ino and Sakura have awakened as the reincarnations of Candice and Meninas, having recognized the sight of the explosions as Bambietta's doing, much to their fear that she's been reincarnated too and is likely even stronger than before. Both of them knowing that once she finds them, she's going to kill them for what they did.
Then we go to Otogakure where Guren's taken over and keeping everyone in line due to Orochimaru being killed by the Sandaime, while Kabuto's vanished. With her intending to get revenge on the one that got Orochimaru killed, a sentiment Kimimaro shares. While Satsuki couldn't care less, only desiring to grow stronger to find and kill Danzō.
With Guren sending Sakon/Ukon, Kidomaru and Kagerō to find Tsunade to heal Kimimaro, while we also see it seems Kagerō has awakened as a reincarnation as well, being Liltotto's.
Next we see the reincarnation of the final Bambie, Chino Chinoike having awakened as Giselle Gewelle, utilizing her Ketsuryūgan with The Zombie. Using it on the Lightning Group, En, the politicians that tricked them, the Kiri Ninja that attacked and the villages that refused to aid the Lightning Group when they needed help. With her also desiring to find Bambietta's reincarnation, and reclaim her favorite.
Finally we see Naruko, who can feel Chino talking about her and realize that it's Giselle, which also means the others have been reincarnated. Much to her joy at getting the chance to kill them herself. Before seeing she's travelled to Uzushiogakure, intending to use it as a base, while having the fallen Uzumaki buried and the invaders thrown into the sea.
With Naruko exploring her clans homeland where she soon located the first settlement and makes it her new home, revealing she took everything that belonged to her from Konoha before leaving. Though as she sets up her new home, Naruko begins wondering if all the Bambies were reincarnated, who else could have been. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
