Chapter 3: Flubber:

Director Flag's POV:

If I know Brandon, he was still in the base. I had to find him.

Director Flag's POV - Flashback:

"I know it was an accident," I said, "but I'm afraid I'm going to have to fire you."

"For something I didn't do," asks Brandon.

"What are you talking about," I asked.

"Sir, I was framed," says Brandon.

"Brandon, I'm afraid you're mistaken-"

"You don't believe me," asks Brandon, "it's the truth!"

"Brandon, I have proof-"

Brandon then slams his fists on the table. "After everything I have done," says Brandon, "I've proven myself plenty of times! I'll teach you respect!"

He then attempts to strangle me, but two agents subdue him and drag him out.

Director Flag's POV - Present:

If he would just listen.

"Thinking about the past," asks Brandon.

"Brandon Doyle," I said, "you stole Flubber? Do you realize how dangerous it is?"

"Let's find out!" Brandon then opens the canister and Flubber starts bouncing around. I tried to catch it, but Flubber kept hitting me. "I will destroy all of Unit: E, then I will find the one who framed me!"

"Brandon... ow! No one... ow! Framed... ow! You... ow!"

"Sorry, but I have no time to deal with nonsense!" Brandon then leaves.

This is why I wanted to cancel Flubber! I wish those jerks in the World Security Council would try to think of these things. Then Flubber was contained in a purple energy bubble.

"Let's go," says Erika.

I then ran with her.

. . .

Turns out, no one in Team 84 obeyed my orders.

"What are you all doing here," I asked.

"Sir, if this guy wants to destroy all of Unit: E, then we couldn't let you face him alone," says Jack.

"But I don't think we have much to worry about," says Miko, "if this little blob thing's his plan."

"That is just a small substance," I said, "Flubber was created by an absent-minded professor. It's short for 'flying rubber'. It can bounce around anywhere, breaking everything in the process. It's also toxic if you try to eat it."

"Who would even think of doing that," asks Steel.

"And there's a lot more of it," I said, "we were originally going to use it as weapons, but then I saw how dangerous it is, so I had it contained. The World Security Council insisted that I don't destroy it, even though I should've!"

"And Brandon plans to use it to destroy the whole base," says Jack, "we have to stop him!"

"I have a disk that contains the incident," I said, "if we could get Brandon to see it, then maybe he'd realize his mistake."

"Then we better find him," says Sunset, "before it's too late!"
