Cold nights
One cold Friday night Mirabel was rocking Luna to sleep, Meanwhile Miguel was helping in the kitchen with the soup and Dolores started setting up the table with the clever help of Andrea her daughter and her son Luis.
"I don't know what it is but seeing you with our daughter makes me the luckiest man in the world". Miguel stated
"Is that so?" Mirabel chuckled
"Si absolutely ". Miguel hugged his wife
Mirabel chuckled as Julieta came into the lounge room and sat trays down by the fire and she simply smiled at her daughter and she smiled back, Luis and Camilo quietly came in so as to not wake the baby girl and kissed on the forehead each.
"Looks like she's never gonna get tired of your cuddles ". Dolores smiled
"I hope not because I love her too much". Mirabel replies
"Ah she's so precious when she sleeps". Isabela swooned
"Si, that she is". Miguel said
The soup was then brought into La Sala as the family all sat down to eat, Mirabel put Luna into her bassinet Luckily didn't stir from her sleep. She then sat down next to her husband and smiled then began eating.
"I don't know about you but this is the best I have been in weeks". Pepa sighed
"Me too Pepi". Bruno agreed
"Nothing Like Julieta's cooking to get you relaxed". Augustin starts
" Amen to that Brother". Felix laughed
"Si Tia Julieta's cooking is the best". Andrea said
Julieta smiled and blushed at the compliments of her work and just sat there all nice and relaxed.
"So any music written yet Mijo ". Augustin asked
" Si some of it but I just can't figure out the last part". Miguel replied
"I'm sure you'll figure it out soon Hermano". Luisa said
"I hope so". Miguel added
"Okay, Okay enough of that what's going on with you and Diego has he asked you out yet?" Isabela asked
"Isa". Mirabel scolded
"If you must know he did and we are going out next week ". Luisa finished
"I knew it". Camilo replies
"Well that's great we are very happy for you Mija ". Julieta congratulates
Mirabel then looked at her necklace and opened the locket and looked at it a watery smile on her face.
"Mi Diosa What is it?" Miguel asked
"Nada it's just memories is all". Mirabel smiled
Miguel cuddled his wife close and smiled and whispered in her ear.
"You know I love you more than life itself Mi ángel and nothing's ever gonna change that". Miguel smiled
"I know Te Amo Tambien Mi Amor ". Mirabel replies
"Mariposa Estas bien?" Bruno asked
"Si Tio just thinking is all". Mirabel stated
"Okay just don't overthink to much you know how you get". Bruno chuckled
"Hey". Mirabel lightly smacks him on the arm.
"Que? I am just telling the truth". He laughs
'"Si it seems that way". Pepa said
"Tio drops truth bombs everywhere he can't help it's a habit ". Luis exclaimed
"I do not". He pouts
"Si you do you're worst then Tio Camilo". Andrea states
Bruno had had it he put down his bowl of soup onto the table and went to hug his great Sonbrina in a great big bear hug. Andrea tried to escape but it was impossible she squirmed and wiggles Bruno's bread then tickles her face as she is wriggling".
"Tio ". She smiles
"I'll never let you go the big monster is going to eat you up". Bruno started in a gruff voice
Mariano and Dolores smiled at the game that was being played as did everyone else. Then they watched as Luis jumped in to save his big sister.
"Don't worry Hermana I will save you". Luis declares
"You can try but you'll never get her". Bruno replies
"We'll See about that ". Luis pouted
Mirabel laughed and watched as Luis pulled out an imaginary sword from behind his back, He then proceeds to fake stab Bruno in the stomach. Bruno then lays on his stomach pretending to be dead so the kids can win.
"Mamá I did it I splayed the monster did you see?" He piped
"Yes , yes you did". Dolores chuckled
"And would you look at that he is knocked out cold". Mariano laughs
"You did it". Andrea cheers
The family talked for a bit longer and started to collect dishes and clean up as it was getting late, It was Camilo and Antonio's turn to do the dishes so as that was being done the rest of the family headed to their rooms for the rest Of the night.
" Come On little monsters time for bed it's late". Pepa said
"Oh Abuela do we have to". Andrea whined
"Si, do we have to". Luis Continued
"Si, you have School in the morning now off to bed". Felix replies
"Okay". They sighed
So with that they all went to bed just relived to get rest from the big day they had, yes everything was right in Casita.
