At Gerald's field there was Gerald, Phoebe, Brainy, Harold, Sid, Stinky, Curly, Rhonda, Nadine, Eugene, Sheena, and Lila. The girls were sitting on one side of the field and the boys were sitting on the other. It was boys vs girls but Eugene didn't want to hurt hisself since he was still accident prone so he decided to be referee with Brainy. Phoebe was letting the girls know she had one more woman on her way to join and help them win. "Phoebe, are you certain that this 'woman' knows how to play baseball? If she does then is she good?" asked Miss Rhonda Wellington Lloyd while checking out her perfect manicure she got last night. "Oh yes I believe she has to be good to beat the boys" said Sheena. Nadine nodded and said "I hope she's tom boy and likes my bugs" she grabs her jar of willy worms she found while walking to the vacant lot.
"I ever so certain Phoebe wouldn't just get anyone to help us. I think its ever so sweet Phoebe that you want to win the competition. And..." All the girls noticed two blondes heading their way..
"Boy howdy, Gerald where is Arnold? He should of been here by now" said Sid getting impatient. "Man chill I just called him he's on his way with another player." Gerald said smirking. "Well they need to hurry because I'm getting hungry..." said Harold while hearing his stomach growl. "Well G willikers Harold I thought you were trying that diet that Patty and you were trying?" asked Stinky and he was trying to not laugh with Sid that was chucking first. "Don't make me pound ya." Harold threatened. Eugene and Brainy was shaking their heads til two blondes running up the field caught their eyes. Brainy noticed who she was before anyone else noticed. Then the other boys looked over to see who was here.
"Haha!! I Win!...In..your...face!!!" They seen a woman that was out of breath and was panting with her hands on her knees, then Arnold jogged up and panting hisself and said to her "Well, Helga if you ...didn't...cheat.." "Hey I'm not a cheat.. I beat you fair and square Football-head!... It's not my fault you too slow" Helga said straighting up and poked her finger in his chest then noticed everyone around them gawking at them. 'What is everyone's problem? It's like you never seen Football-head and I get into it or somethin'. Stop Gawkin' And Let's Play Ball!" Helga shouted and hoping they listen.
Rhonda pushes there the crowd and looked at Helga up and down and said looking confused, "You..your the one Phoebe got?" "What if I am? Is there problem Princess?" said Helga stepping closer to Rhonda ready with Ol' Betsy. But she didn't need to because all the girls hugged her even Rhonda herself. "We missed you ever so much, Helga!" said Lila with tears in her eyes. "Yes we can't believe your here now we can win for sure now" said Sheena. Phoebe just smiled. Nadine laughed. Helga couldn't believe that not just Phoebe but all the girls missed her and she always thought she wasnt liked by her peers. "Uhh...I've missed you guys too, but can we stop with the mushy stuff and get this game started" said Helga unsure on why the girls were excited to see her.
"That pretty lady can't be Helga.. right fellers?" asked Stinky in a whisper. Sid had his mouth open wide he couldn't believe his eyes. Curly smiled devilishly and said, "Well, she still got spunk like she use to, no wonder Arnold's still attached HE HE HE HA HA." "What are you talking about they are not together anymore... right Arnold" asked Eugene. "(Cough, cough) No, no we are not.. we are friends I think yeah yeah...hehe oh ...uhh..Hey let's tell they girl's we are ready play okay...?" Arnold felt nervous and didn't know why. The other guys didn't notice but Gerald knew his best friend and how he knows when Arnold was getting uncomforable. Gerald whistled to get everyone's attention "Okay ladies and gentlemen I do believe it's time to start the game!" he said. Helga looks around her and sees the boys just starting at her.
What the heck is wrong with these people..Okay treat 'em like I use to...Let's hope this works..Helga thought and said "Okay people quit stareing at me like am a piece of meat..or I'll pound ya. I know I look good but I'm Helga G. Pataki and don't cha forget it got it? So let's play before I decide to go home sheesh!" she shook her fist like she use to and hoping it would scare off some of the boys.
They looked at her then nodded their heads then started heading to their places and so did the girls. Arnold looked at Helga gave her small smile and then went to his position on the field. Phoebe went up to Helga looked at Arnold's retreating form and looked back at Helga. She gave her a questionable look and Helga shook her head no to answer. Phoebe then gave her warm smile and patted her upper arm and said in a whisper, "You got this." "I hope so" whispered Helga back.
The game of boys vs girls was on their last half.The score was 6 to 4 and girls had the 4 points and it was their turn up to bat. "I can't believe we are losing. Like how are the boys up in points? Before I left we girls were champions not the boys! We gotta distract the boys. some how.." said Helga. Rhonda thought and evilly said, "Well I can't because Curly and I are dating. But... Helga I think Arnold would be the good victim, and you can be 'his' distraction.." raising her eyebrows up and down. "Wha...what? No I don't think I can, because the cat calls didn't work earlier with him! Come on Princess, fool someone else with your mind game 'cause I ain't biting. Hmph!" Helga said getting an attitude. Rhonda whispers to the other girls and then they all nod to each other. Phoebe goes to Helga and tried not to giggle while whispering. And Helga's eyes bugged out and then she started to blush alot. "I can't believe you Pheebs! Girls I can't do that! " Helga scream whispered.
"I can't believe you guys talked me into it.." Helga said geting her outfit rearranged. Her outfit was hoodie and shorts before now she wearing just a tight hot pink tank top and if she stretch her arms over her head the tank rides up little, and she was wearing her shorts still but they made them appear super short. Helga has to say something to Arnold(that was pitching) to distract him if her outfit wouldn't be enough. Great! He will definitely not want to talk to me anymore or want to know what is wrong with me, 'cause he's still a do gooder shrimp. I can't believe I'm doing this, I'm such a basketcase! Helga thought while Sheena went to bat and hit the ball so she's on first base next will be Rhonda. "Do great for our last hit we be rooting for you! Hehehe"
Helga just gave her a death glare and rolled her eyes. Now it is Helga's turn. Phoebe is on first base and second base is Rhonda and third base is Nadine but Sheena got an out from Sid. Hekga blow a bubble with gum and popped it and said, "We better win" Every male on the field just watched Helga exit the bleachers and walked with a strut. She swinging the bat and blew big bubble and it popped. She get's center of the base to bat and lifts her arms to stretch and it shows little bit of her belly button, and she gets her self ready to swing with her bat in place.
Arnold just stared at her with his eyes wide. Wow. She's hot... No, no, stop it! Not here, not here. Don't think about her like that Arnold... He thought. He clears his throat and does signals to Gerald(the Empire). Helga nodded at Nadine and then she nodded to her and to the other girls on bases. Then as Arnold getting ready to toss the pitch Helga says to him sweetly with a wink added at the end "I hope your not getting tired Arnold, because you'll need that energy later!" Arnold's mouth hung open and without thinking he threw the ball and it didn't go where it should've. Then Nadine ran to home as the ball bounced on the ground because there. Helga got out of the way to let Nadine threw and she got safe.
Then Arnold heard Helga giggle then noticed the other girls not on the right bases. Then the other guys except Gerald started to laugh to.
"Is she distractin' ya Awwnold Hahahaha" laughed Harold. "Boy Howdy Arnold, you really mess that pitch up. And they moved on the bases man" Sid said not happy. Gerald shaking his head and said to Arnold, " Try again take her out!"
"Hehe, ya like on a date heheha" chuckled Curly. That got everyone laughing except Gerald, Phoebe, Helga, and Arnold. The two blondes were embarrassed but Arnold nodded at Gerald, and he told everyone "Play ball!" Arnold cracked his neck and stretched hisself and breathed in and out and looked at his beautiful target.
All Helga was doing was popping her gum and smiling and looking at Arnold getting herself ready to hit the ball this time. Arnold mouthed the words Cheater. Helga stuck out her tongue and then he threw the ball and she swong...
CRACK!
Helga smiled and ran as fast as she could and the ball was a home run. Girls won with score 8 and boys 6. Girls were so happy and excited on the win that they hugged Helga again and she returned their hugs this time. Some of the boys were pouting like Harold Sid. Stinky, Eugene, and Brainy was happy to be there. Gerald pats his best friend on the back and said "Mmm mmm mmm. Man I can't believe we lost to the girls this time Arnold" Arnold looks at his best friend kind of irritated and says" Well it wasn't my fault I was distracted!" Then he catches a glance at over by the score board and sees the girling talking, giggling with Helga. And sees that she's smiling so he smiles too.
" So...?" asked Gerald. "So..What?" asked Arnold confused. "Man, are you going to spill it? What's up with you and Helga ?" asked Gerald. "Spill what? I have no idea why she said or did what she did okay? There's nothing up with us." said Arnold getting nervous. Gerald still not believing him so he said " Arnold look, I'm your bestest friend since we were three man I know you. And I just want you to be happy and not be like you were in this past five years." "Gerald I'm okay really" said Arnold. " I know you still have feelings for her! Today when I seen they way you look at her, you seem to be happier.. All I'm saying just be careful and get what makes you happy okay?" Gerald said being concerned for Arnold. "Thanks I will, Gerald" smiled Arnold.
Everyone said their goodbyes and congratuations on the winners. All who stayed was Gerald Arnold Phoebe and Helga to put the equipment away. "Wow that was an awesome game! Thanks Hair-boy for the big win" Helga said winking at him playfully. "Yeah whatever it's 'cause your a big cheat and you know it!" said Arnold rolling his eyes and heard slight chuckling beside them.
Phoebe and Gerald finished putting away what they had and sat and listened to their friends bickering. They started chuckling and made Arnold and Helga look at them. "Will you two go get a room geez!" Gerald said to them while throwing up his arms in the air. " I concur with Gerald. I do believe you guys need to take care of things in a more secure and private location. And Gerald and I must be going home so good-bye Arnold, good-bye Helga." said Phoebe. Without getting out what Helga wanted to say she just said, " Okay bye." and she started walking away to head to her house "You coming Arnold?"
Arnold said good bye to his friends and said to her with smile "Uh yeah whatever floats your boat Helga." "That's my line Football-head." said Helga raising one of her eyebrows. "Oh I don't see anywhere that's written that you are the owner of the the line I just said" Arnold said with little chuckle. "Ol' Betsy and Five Avengers say it's written by me unless you want them to teach you a lesson?" smiled Helga showing off her fists.
Arnold walks faster to keep up with her and says," You think your so bad but deep down...I don't think you are. In fact I know that your nice normal sensitive creative sweet smart beautiful.."
"STOP IT!!" shouted Helga. They stopped walking. " What why" asked Arnold. "I..We.. you can't say that stuff..It's...not true.." said Helga quietly. "Helga it's true, every word that I say or have said in the past is true." Arnold said and grabbing her hand to pull her in a hug.
"Arnold do you want to come to my house, because Phoebe is right, we do need to talk. privately" asked Helga still embracing Arnold. And he just nodded and pulled away . They walked in silence all the way to her house. She unlocked the door and walked in then Arnold walked through and followed her to the livingroom.
He sat down on the couch and Helga got them both drinks. They both looking at something else then each other while drinking their Yahoo sodas. Helga thought to herself Crimney! What is wrong with us. It's like we've never met and scared to say something to the other. Come on Helga ol' girl, tell him now before it's too late! Helga cleared her throat and started, "Arnold look this is hard for me to say. So one thing I realize that I was being selfish."
"Helga I..." "Can you be quiet an' let me talk geez" Arnold started to say but Helga interrupted him because if she didn't say all what she needed to right then, she feel more guilty then she already did. Arnold just rolled his eyes but nodded.
"Where was I..Oh yeah (Here goes nothing!)..Arnold, I'm not perfect, I never was. I've been meaning to tell you how awful I felt about what I did to you all those years. I've made a big mistake back then, because I was scared. I'm still scared.. You mean..more to me then life itself. Your everything to me, all I think about, all i want.. all I need! You..Only you..I'm so sorry...I ruined 'us' I hope you can forg...Mmmph!!" Helga couldn't finish her apology because, Arnold practically jumped her. He was sitting there listening and he couldn't stop looking at her lips when she talked. So when she said she was sorry he wanted to tell her or show her he forgives her. So he launched forward with so much passion that she fell backwards onto the couch. And he was laying on top of her.His eyes was closed.
OMG! Is this really happening! Did he really just jump me? It has to be a dream or something! I almost forgotten how good his kisses were..Oh wow! He's gotten way better then before. Oh my love, oh how I've missed this..Mmm
Helga's eyes fluttered closed and started kissing him back. Oh I can't believe I'm kissing her and shes allowing it...Man, I've miss this, missed her so much...I probably should stop...and say...I uhh..Mmm She heard him moan in her mouth when she started kissing him back. And she shivered in happiness. They both tried to get closer to each other if it was any possible to do that. Helga had both hands in Arnold's hair, trying to pull him more. And Arnolds' hands were traveling up and down over her clothed body mostly on her waist and upper thigh area. They were going to need air to breathe so their lips pulled apart with a popping sound.
They breathes were rapid and when they opened their eyes they looked into each other. And Arnold smiled at her with half lidded eyes and said, "Helga, your forgiven. And I was and still scared too. I was happier when I was around you and when you got upset that I was going go far away and then you left for so long time I..." I'm sorry.." she said in whisper covering her face with her hands. He sat up and pulled her up with him and he gave her a hugand said,"I'm sorry too. I thought I needed to be mad at you, but I couldn't because I love you still. You are the only one for me and I've missed you. I missed 'us' So?" Arnold pulled back little to look at Helga. "So what do we do? Do we try being friends then lead to a relationship or should we...Mmph!!"
Helga cut him off she was happy and said at the same time so she had some tears going down her cheeks. She was excited that he loved her still and wanted to show how much she loved him back. She thought, Oh wow! He's so cute trying to say we should be friends to start with. Yeah right, like that's ever going to happen! In his dreams. Oh my love, I never want to be apart from you EVER! My love, I love you too!
He though, I'm pretty sure we are not going to be just friends first. Not if we can help it...haha..I'm so happy she's here. I think she's gotten better at this whole kissing thing...
They needed to breathe so they both pulled away to catch their breaths again. Helga said, "I still love you so, so much. I don't know if we can be just friends...Doing this kinda stuff." She giggled then gestured her fingertip back and forth touching his lips and hers. "Yeah I know. And I don't think I can handle not ķissing you. So do you want to date each other again?" Arnold said while looking at her with half lidded eyes.
"Well doi, of course I do, Arnold!" Helga said giving him a bone-crushing hug like Olga.
