AoBing yelled in frustration at his oldest brother AoJia. "I`m afraid so little brother." The older dragon said to him calmly." Dad just wants what is best for you. You need to understand and accept it." "No, I will not accept it! If Dad really wanted what was best for me, he would let me make my own choice!" The ice dragon clenched his fists as he looked down at the ground in anger." He wouldn't just decide for me to be courted by some random dragon I don`t know! I don`t believe it, I WON`T believe it!" he huffed. AoJai gently looked down having a bit of guilt form inside of him due to his brother's reaction. Normally AoBing was this shy, gentle, and well-mannered dragon. But despite being nervous in a situation like this, he was NOT happy. If he was upset enough, he had the little bit of courage to stand his ground and speak his mind on how he was feeling. He hated being treated like a baby by both his brothers and his father and he was not afraid to show it./p

AoYi was a goofy, hyper-energetic child. He loved running around the castle, he loved to pull pranks on a few guards, as well as his brothers. Purposely with his older brother just to get an angry reaction out of him while laughing expecting to get a fist in the face or to be roughly manhandled just for the fun of it. With AoBing however, the pranks were lighter due to the younger one being naive and a bit sensitive to his "jokes" at times. Unlike his brothers, Ao Yi could care less about what others think of him. He loved the attention, and he would go all out even if it got him in deep trouble. But during times like this, he was serious. When there is a serious conversation between his brothers, he knows there is a time and place to act snarky and mess with them. But this was not it. Not now. His brothers were fighting and he hated it. The situation was kind of intense and awkward for him so he sat back to listen to the conversation hoping there would be a way for him to make the atmosphere a tad better for his siblings. Concerned, he patiently waited for an opening as his brothers continued to bicker./p

Law documents, taxes, or letters to and from the other dragon monarchies? Whatever, it didn't matter. He requested the guards to bring him his oldest son to confirm to Aobing about the marriage. AoJia can be strict and impatient with his younger brothers, but he loves them dearly. He would do anything to protect and keep them safe. He is all for old traditions, has family as a high priority, and has a huge hatred for Nezha because of past events. You could say he is the exact spitting image of the dragon king himself but more gentle. He rather follow his father's rules than break them and be kept out of trouble no matter the situation unless told so. When he was requested to pass the message to his youngest sibling, he couldn't help but feel indifferent knowing exactly how AoBing would feel about it. "This didn't...feel right." He thought to himself. AoJia always looked up to his dad growing up. He was strong, he was fearless, and he took very good care of his people. While he disagrees with some of his father's doing, he wants to be just like him. Through the hard times, the older dragon self-proclaimed himself to be the second parent in the family ever since they lost their mother. He had to make a good image for his father, his siblings, and his soon-to-be kingdom being next in line for the thrown. Despite his mutual hatred towards Nezha, He slightly respects Aobing's stubbornness of wanting to STILL see that "pathetic excuse for a warrior prince. (let alone a celestial god)". Not after everything he did to his little brother. In the end, He went along with it anyway. AoJia was certain their father had his reasons for his brother's choice, so he stuck to it and told him the news regardless. AoJia looks back up at Aobing. "I am just telling you what father decided. You can choose to believe me or not, but go talk to him yourself if you won`t take my word for it." He said bluntly. AoBing lifts his head up as he swallows the lump in the back of his throat. "You need to learn that life can`t give you everything you want. That is just how it is. You have been given many chances dear brother. You have been extremely lucky to be brought back to us once again. Normally that would be considered a privilege because others would never get that opportunity to see their loved ones again." AoJias's tone started to get more stern" Maybe you should stop being selfish and START being grateful for what father is doing for you! When you were taken from us, he was devastated! He already had to deal with the loss of our mother long ago. Imagine having the extra weight on your shoulders mourning the loss of your son after! You ever think of tha-" AoJia stopped immediately realizing he pushed too far and shut his mouth. He quickly looked at his brother's reaction in concern. He looked over at AoYi first who gave him a surprised but nervous glare. He then shifts his head back to the younger. Aobing looked up sadly at his brother with dead eyes. They stared into each other's for a moment in silence. Then finally the ice dragon looks down and closes his eyes to gently nod his head with a soft "yes". He slowly starts to walk past AoJia to go talk to his father to confirm that hopefully, this is all just a dream instead of a harsh reality. Aojia turns his head a bit to see his brother from the corner of his eye as he walks out of the room. The guilt inside him just got bigger. AoYi gets up from his seat to place a hand on his older brother's shoulder to comfort him. AoJia turns to look at him but closes his eyes slightly and sighs knowing that this isn't going to end well./p

He heard a knock at the door and looked up from his work. "Enter!" He said in a demanding but gentle tone. It was Aobing opening the door. The king stared for a moment as his youngest son entered the room leaving the door slightly open. He takes a nervous deep breath and walks closer to the very front of the desk. "F-Father,... I need to talk to you," AoBing said fidgeting but sternly. AoGuang just continued to stare into his son's eyes knowing exactly why he was there. He gestured to the guards to exit the room. "Leave us, My son and I need to talk." The guards bowed and left the room closing the door behind them. Once they got out, they stood back on each side of the door to guard the room once again. The inside of the room was silent for a moment. The atmosphere was a bit awkward but AoBing knew what to expect and will have to stand his ground. Before he began to speak, his father started first. "I take it AoJia told you the message?" He said as he got back down to his work while listening for his son's response. AoBing gave him a gentle glare. "Yes, he did. I came just to double-check and confirm that this is what is really going on. That my ears were not deceiving me. That my own father would force me to marry someone I don`t know." Without looking up, he continued to listen while still working on the papers. There was silence for a moment until AuGuang finally spoke. "Yes, this is true. I have already arranged the ceremony, and your soon-to-be mate will arrive in a week." He looks up from his work. "Also, he won`t be someone you don`t know once you start to bond and get to know each other." AoBing clenches both his fist and his teeth in anger. "Well, you can forget it and cancel the courting section because I am NOT doing this!" He demanded. AoGuang gave him a serious stern look. "You don`t have a choice my son" he spat. "this is for your own good." AoBing puts both his hands on the edge of the table to lean towards his father. "Yes, I do Father! I`m not a baby anymore, I am old enough to make my OWN choices! You have no right to take control of my life!" Ao Guang raises his voice "True but as long as you are in my kingdom, you will obey my laws and my rules in this castle! Do you understand young man!?"br /AoBing was silent for a moment, not letting his eyes off his fathers. "No. I will not!" The young dragon threw back at him standing his ground. AoGuang's face now switched to a deadly glare. As he quickly sat up from his chair almost knocking it over behind him, He slammed both his hands down on the desk, almost making AoBing flinch back a bit. "You WILL meet with this man, and you WILL be married to him when the time comes! Why are you refusing!? I found the perfect spouse to court you and to help you stay away from that damn lotus prince!" AoBing open his eyes in horror and rage. He couldn't believe what he just heard. His dad STILL has a hatred for his now secret lover. He starts to raise his voice "So this is what this is about?! To drive a wedge between me and Nezha, and all for some dumb stranger!? Have you completely lost your mind Father?! How is this going to make my life any better?! When will you finally learn to just let it go already!" AoGuang slams one of his fists hard on the desk making the objects on top of it shake and almost fall over. "He killed you TWICE! He painfully ripped out your spine! How can you still want to be friends with that disgusting murderer?!" Aobing snaps back at him in defense." You will NOT talk about Nezha like that!" Thankfully the king was unaware of His and Nezha's now bonded relationship. Who knows what would have happened if he found out. He would be furious. AoBing had made a special passage deep in the castle to sneak out past the guards to meet up with Nezha for a couple of dates. They even had their own secret courting ritual. Sure it wasn't traditional, or 100% "official" " but they made it special for each other and promised a commitment for one another. That itself was good enough for both of them. They may as well start calling each other husbands. Ao Guang continues to raise his voice. "He is a scoundrel, scum of the earth, he never should have been part of the celestial realm! That DEMON should have been sent back to the Diyu where he belonged!" AoBing leans into his father's face further. "We were just as at fault as he was! We attacked his village, we attacked his kingdom when he was still living a mortal life, and we almost killed his family! What did you expect!? Plus YOU sent ME to go fight him personally and I agreed to that! How else did you think he was going to react? Didn't they finally make peace with us after I passed?! I thought that it would be good enough for you but NO! These wars keep happening because YOU can`t let it go!" AoGuang snapped "They imprisoned and chained us up for centuries in a cavern deep in the middle of the ocean because they feared us! They have taken us dragons for monsters! They will NEVER accept us and make up for what they did to my people! They will never make up for what they did to my family and your mother!" He had a slight crack in his voice when he mentioned his now-dead wife. Aobing stayed quiet, he didn't know what to say. The dragon king continued. "You and Ao Yi were the lucky ones who didn't get to have that experience after you were born. AoJia had to suffer from giving up his childhood and to grow up. He didn't get to experience what it was like being a child compared to what you had! I don`t want to continue arguing with you young man!" He demanded" YOU are going to be courted with the dragon I chose for you! If you can not be grateful and continue to refuse, I will keep you locked up in your room! Your last chance after that will be the dungeon next! Is that clear?!" There was a moment of silence. AoGuang was breathing heavily after he finished yelling. AoBing continued to stand in silence, he didn't know what to think. He just continued to stare in horror at all the cruel things his father said. Soon slight tears began to fall from his eyes. He slowly took his hands off his father's desk. He then started shaking as more tears poured down his face. He was angry, he was upset, and he knew this was the final straw. He has had it with this family, and their controlling behavior over his life. He was sick of the fighting, he was sick of the wars, and most of all, he was sick of his father's hatred. His attitude towards the lotus prince. He was done with it all, and now he was going to take matters into his own hands. He was going to leave the kingdom. He really wanted,... NO, he NEEDED to see Nezha NOW! Unexpectedly, wind inside the room began to pick up. Next small white particles of light snow started appearing around from above, and now it was starting to get stronger and more violent. A light snowstorm was starting to form around them. Before Ao Guang started regretting his words in fear. Aobing had finally snapped. He yells at the top of his lungs as large piles of ice shards emerge from under their feet in the room and then comes a bright flash of light from his eyes. There was a huge force from the ice that knocked almost everything in the room against the wall. After he started screaming, the guards quickly busted through the door to prepare for what was happening only to find a now-destroyed room with the king by himself on the floor with no bad injuries thankfully. Just a few scratches here and there along with a now missing AoBing. The room was a complete mess as if an ice twister ran through it./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'GNU Unifont', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"During the moment outside the castle, nearby villagers started to panic when they suddenly heard an explosion at a section of the castle. AoBing had turned into his dragon form to make a hole in the ceiling and fled. In the office, the guards ran to check up on the king but he gestured that he was fine. He slowly lifts himself up with one hand behind him holding his back while the other grabs a nearby object to help push him up. However, he was mentally exhausted from arguing. He took a glance around the room and sighed "Get the construction workers in here to fix the building" The guards looked at each other then back at the king, they bowed, and left. Everything was almost completely covered in ice. Some objects were knocked down, and destroyed while others either had bad scratches or just turned on their sides against the wall. Thankfully the desk and chair were not in too much bad shape. He puts the desk and the chair back up in place and sits down. He pinched his fingers between his eyes in frustration for a few minutes. He then glances at the corner of his eyes at the floor noticing the small wooden picture frame that has fallen off of the desk. The frame was faced down and had the glass shattered beneath it. He gently leans down to carefully pick it up to turn it over. It was the old family picture of him with younger AoJia and AoYi alongside their mother holding a baby AoBing not even a month old. His expression changes to sadness as he stares at the now-deceased wife in his hand. He gently used the tips of his fingers to stroke the picture over her beautiful smiling face. Without looking away, he leaned calmly back in his chair in deep thoughts for a few minutes before he spoke to the frame. "What would you have done my love?" He paused in silence and spoke again "If only you were still here." Once he sets the picture back on the desk, he leans back further into his chair and looks up at the sky through the hole in the roof. After a few minutes, he closed his eyes and decided to rest for a bit in thought while the construction workers finally came in with their supplies to start fixing everything./p
