One evening at the Pizza Man Club, Electra was serving some food to a group of four teenagers, two males and two females, who had all come in for some dinner.
"Here you go", Electra said, "one turkey sandwich with rippled potato chips..."
She set the sandwich down in front one of the females, who was dressed like a schoolgirl.
"One order of chicken alfredo pasta", Electra said.
She set the bowl of pasta down in front of the other female, who was wearing a black straw boater hat.
"And for you two, one medium buffalo chicken pizza on Cajun crust", Electra said.
She set the pizza down in front of the two males in the group, one of which was wearing a football helmet, and the other a skull bandana.
"There you go", Electra said, "enjoy."
Electra walked away from the table and set her serving tray down near the kitchen window, and Big D, the restaurant's bouncer, walked over to her.
"Hey, Electra", Big D said, "we got a customer up front who wants to place an order for some carryout."
"I'm on it like glue", Electra said.
Electra went to the front of the restaurant, and waiting for her there was the customer, who was wearing a United States Army beret on his head.
"Good evening, sir", Electra said, "what can I get for you?"
"I'd like one large Chef's Special, please", the man said.
"Okay", Electra said, "a Chef's Special."
Electra began writing the man's order down on her notepad, but suddenly stopped upon a particular thought entering her head.
"Wait a minute", Electra said, "a Chef's Special?"
"Yes", the man said, "it's one of the pizzas on the employees section of the menu."
Electra was even more surprised to hear about the employees section.
"Ma'am", the man asked, "is something wrong?"
"Oh, no, it's nothing", Electra said, "I'll have that pizza our for you in a jiffy."
"Thank you", the man said.
"Oh, by the way", Electra said, "thank you for your service."
"Any time", the man said.
Electra went over to the kitchen and handed the piece of paper with the man's order on it to the Chef.
"I've got a carryout order for a large Chef's Special pizza", Electra said, "whatever that is."
"Oh boy, that's my signature pizza", the Chef said, "I'm all over it!"
The Chef went to work making the Pizza, and as Electra waited for him to finish it up, she thought to herself about the part of the menu she had learned about.
"I never realized there was a part of the menu called the employees section", Electra said, "maybe I should ask Pax about it when I see him next."
Later that night, it was time for the Pizza Man Club to close, and as Electra punched out on her time card, her employer, Paxton Mann, walked past her.
"Heading home for the night, Electra", Paxton asked.
"I sure am", Electra said.
"Well, have a wonderful rest of your evening, then", Paxton said.
Paxton was about to leave the restaurant when Electra called out to him.
"Pax, wait", Electra said.
"Hm", Paxton asked, "what is it?"
"There's something I want to ask you", Electra said, "it's about the menu."
"What about it", Paxton asked.
"Can you tell me more about the employees section", Electra asked.
"Well, now", Paxton said, "that's something I'd be happy to tell you about."
Paxton walked over to a counter and took a small one-paged menu from a stack next to the regular menus.
"The employees section is a special part of the menu that's home to some very special pizzas", Paxton said.
"How are they special", Electra asked.
"They're pizzas that were created by the employees of this restaurant", Paxton said.
Electra was quite surprised to hear that.
"Pizzas created by employees", Electra asked.
"That's right", Paxton said, "here, take a look."
Paxton showed Electra the mini menu and told her about the first pizza listed on it.
"This here is the Big D Special", Paxton said, "Big D wanted to make a pizza with a tropical twist to remind him of his home, so he did that by putting pepperoni, pineapple, and banana peppers on sesame crust."
"Nice", Electra said, "I guess he figured banana peppers was as close as he could get to putting his favorite fruit on a pizza."
Paxton then moved on to the next pizza on the menu.
"This one is the Chef Special", Paxton said, "the Chef set out to make a pizza with the most flavor ever on it, so he threw what he described as the most flavorful toppings: bacon, onions, and jalapenos, on ranch crust."
"That sounds like the Chef, alright", Electra said, "and his pizza actually does sound pretty good."
Finally, Paxton described the final pizza on the menu.
"And last but certainly not least, we have the Paxton Mann Special", Paxton said, "you see, I've always thought of myself as a simple kind of guy, so I decided to just keep it simple with my pizza by throwing some pepperoni and black olives on butter crust."
"Nice choices", Electra said, "you can't go wrong with something as simple that."
"No you cannot", Paxton said.
Paxton set the mini menu back in its stack and continued talking to Electra.
"You see, Electra, these pizzas are symbols of the hard work and dedication of the employees of this restaurant", Paxton said, "once you've paid your dues and proven yourself a valuable member of the Pizza Man Club crew, then you earn yourself a place on this menu."
"Wow, cool", Electra said.
"And that brings me to my next topic", Paxton said, "Electra, you've been with us for several months now, and during that time, you've done nothing but work hard and show lots of dedication to your job here at the Club, and for that, I've decided that it's time to make room for you in the employee section."
Electra could hardly believe her ears.
"Are you serious", Electra asked.
"I sure am", Paxton said, "after everything you've done for this restaurant, it's only right that you be rewarded for your work."
"Thank you, Pax", Electra said, "I'm flattered."
"My pleasure", Paxton said, "feel free to take as much time as you need to come up with your signature pizza, then you can tell me about it so I can add it to the menu."
"Yes sir, I will", Electra said.
"Excellent", Paxton said, "and with that, I must bid you goodnight."
"You too", Electra said.
Paxton left the restaurant, and Electra left soon after him, and as she walked down the sidewalk back to her apartment, she heard a familiar voice call out to her.
"Hey, Electra", the voice said.
Electra turned around and noticed Axel walking towards her.
"Oh, Axel", Electra said.
"Hey", Axel said, "just finished up work?"
"I sure did", Electra said, "and you?"
"Me and the guys helped wrap up a kidnapping case", Axel said, "now I'm heading home for a good night's rest."
"That sounds nice", Electra said.
"You want me to walk with you to your apartment", Axel asked.
"Sure", Electra said, "we can tell each other about how our days went."
"Sounds good to me", Axel said.
And so, Electra and Axel walked side by side down the sidewalk, telling each other what all happened with them over the course of the day, and after a while, Electra decided to tell Axel about her spot in the employees section.
"Anyways", Electra said, "you'll never believe what happened at work today."
"What", Axel asked.
Electra told Axel about the employees section of the Pizza Man Club menu, and also how Paxton told her that she had earned herself a place in it.
"Really", Axel asked.
"Yep, it's true", Electra said, "I'm going to get my very own pizza named in honor of me."
"Wow", Axel said, "I am so happy for you."
"Thanks", Electra said, "that means a lot coming from you."
"Have you decided what's going to be on your pizza yet", Axel asked.
"No, not yet", Electra said, "I need some time to think."
"Okay", Axel said, "well, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great."
"Thanks", Electra said.
At last the couple reached the apartment building where Electra lived.
"Well, this is my stop", Electra said, "guess I'll see you around, Axel."
"You too", Axel said.
Electra blew Axel a kiss, which he caught before going on his way, and then the former went inside the building and went up to her apartment, still thinking about the pizza to be name after her as she did so.
"My very own pizza", Electra said, "I never thought I'd get something like that named after me."
Electra soon arrived at her apartment, and after unlocking the door and entering it, she began walking towards her bedroom.
"If this is gonna be my pizza, then I've got to come up with some good toppings for it", Electra said, "but what could I do for that?"
When Electra got to her bedroom, she took off her boots and laid down on her bed, still thinking about what her special pizza would be like.
"I really want this pizza to be perfect", Electra said, "hopefully I can come up with something that's just right for it."
The next day at the Pizza Man Club, Electra was back at work serving some food to customers, and set a medium Paxton Mann Special down at a table a young couple was sitting at.
"Here you go", Electra said, "enjoy."
After serving the pizza, Electra went over by the counter, where she pondered once more about her yet-to-be decided pizza for the employees section.
"It looks like the customers really like Pax and the others' special pizzas", Electra said, "I hope they'll enjoy whatever pizza I come up with just as much."
At that moment, Big D walked over to Electra.
"Hey, are you hungry", Big D said, "it's about time for our lunch break."
"Sure, I can grab a bite to eat", Electra said.
"Okay, then", Big D said, "let's do it now before any more customers show up."
"Right behind you", Electra said.
Electra followed Big D to the break room and sat down at the table, where Paxton was also sitting, and the Chef walked in carrying a pizza on a tray.
"Okay guys, it's time for employee pizza lunch day", the Chef said, "now, if my memory is correct, I believe it was Electra's turn to pick what pizza we have this week."
"Yes, that sounds about right", Paxton said.
"Alrighty, then", the Chef said, "without further ado, here is this week's pizza lunch day pizza."
The Chef set the pizza down on the table and began describing what was on it.
"A combination that's pretty much become her usual by this point: salami and mushrooms on garlic herb crust", the Chef said.
"Her usual", Big D asked.
"That's right", the Chef said, "this is what she's ordered the last few times she's ordered a pizza for herself."
"Is that so", Big D asked.
"Yep", Electra said, "I thought I'd broaden my horizons by trying something new and different."
"Well, this certainly fits that description", Big D said.
"Indeed it does", Paxton said, "and it tastes pretty good, too."
"I'm glad you think so", Electra said.
The Chef cut the pizza and served some slices for himself and the other employees, and as they ate, Big D decided to talk to Electra about her upcoming pizza creation.
"So, Electra", Big D said, "I hear Pax is letting you come up with your own pizza for the employees section."
"He sure is", Electra said, "once I do, it'll join the list of amazing pizzas that you guys created."
"We're sure looking forward to it", Big D said.
"Have you thought about what your signature pizza's going to be like", the Chef asked.
"A little", Electra said, "but I haven't quite made up my mind just yet."
"And that's okay", Paxton said, "like I said last night, you can take as much time as you need to think of it."
"Thanks", Electra said, "I'm probably gonna need it."
Electra took a bite out her slice of pizza and began to ponder about her special again.
"But I'd rather not take that long to decide", Electra thought, "I'd like to come up with the perfect idea for a pizza today, if that's even possible."
After lunch ended, the employees all went back to work, with Electra going back to waiting tables, and after taking an order from a customer, she went over to the Chef to tell him about it.
"I've got an order for a medium Big D special", Electra said.
"Coming right up", the Chef said.
The Chef began work on preparing the pizza, but as he did so, he couldn't help but notice Electra looking a bit bothered.
"Hey", the Chef said, "is there something on your mind?"
"It's nothing", Electra said, "I guess I'm just struggling with deciding what I'm gonna put on my pizza."
"I see", the Chef said, "well, like Pax said, you can take your time to decide what you'll do for that."
"Yeah, I know", Electra said, "but I'd kind of like to get it done sooner rather than later."
The Chef thought to himself for a minute, then came up with an idea.
"Tell you what", the Chef said, "how'd you like to come into the kitchen and experiment a little bit?"
"Experiment", Electra asked.
"That's right", the Chef said, "you can make your own pizzas in the kitchen and then show them to us so we can try them."
"Sounds good", Electra said, "but we should probably ask Pax for permission first."
"Not a problem", the Chef said, "that's just what I was planning to do."
The Chef and Electra went to Paxton to ask his permission for the former's idea, and just as they were hoping, he said yes.
"I think that sounds like a wonderful idea", Paxton said.
"Thanks, Pax", the Chef said, "I'm glad you think so."
"I'm sure some hands-on work will really help Electra come up with her perfect pizza", Paxton said.
"I sure hope so", Electra said, "but who's going to wait tables while I'm in the kitchen?"
"Don't worry about it", Paxton said, "we can all pitch in to help with that."
"Really", Electra asked, "thanks a lot."
"It's the least we can do", Paxton said.
With that done, Electra made her way into the kitchen, where she put on a cooking apron and walked up to the part of the kitchen where the pizzas were prepared.
"Okay", Electra said, "let's get cooking."
Electra started by rolling out some pizza dough, then put some sauce on it, followed by her sprinkling cheese on it, and when it came time for her to put some toppings on it, that's when she really started to think.
"Let's see", Electra said, "what are the most perfect toppings to put on a pizza?"
As Electra thought about the different topping options for her pizza, some of the more common pizza toppings came to her mind.
"Two of the most common toppings I can think of that customers like to order are pepperoni and sausage", Electra said, "and as far as veggies go, most people go for mushrooms, green peppers, or onions."
It was then that she was struck with inspiration.
"And that's what I'll do", Electra said, "I'll put all those toppings on my pizza to make it the most perfect pizza ever."
So, Electra set to work on her pizza, topping it with the five toppings she had thought of, and pretty soon, she was finished.
"That should do it", Electra said, "now to decide which flavor crust I should use."
At that moment, the Chef walked over to Electra.
"Hey Electra, can you step aside, please", the Chef asked, "I have to make a pizza for a customer."
"Sure", Electra said.
Electra stepped aside so the Chef could get to work, and when the latter walked up to the counter, he looked in surprise at Electra's pizza.
"Well I'll be a monkey's uncle", the Chef said.
"What is it", Electra asked.
"This is the kind of pizza I have to make", the Chef said, "a medium supreme pizza."
"Wait a minute", Electra said, "a supreme pizza?"
"That's right", the Chef said.
Electra facepalmed upon hearing that.
"Oh man, I forgot all about the supreme pizza", Electra said, "so much for my perfect pizza."
"Your what", the Chef asked.
"I was trying to make the most perfect pizza using the most popular and commonly ordered toppings", Electra said, "but I forgot that there's already a pizza on the menu with the exact toppings I wanted to use."
"I see", the Chef said, "well, don't worry, I'm sure you'll come up with your own original idea eventually."
"I hope so", Electra said.
"In the meantime, though, is it alright if I bake this pizza you made as the one that customer ordered", the Chef asked.
"Sure", Electra said.
"Thanks", the Chef said, "I just have to make the crust asiago cheese flavored, and it'll be good to go."
The Chef took Electra's pizza to continue prepping it, and Electra looked down, still disappointed at her failed attempt at creating her own pizza.
"Well", Electra said, "guess it's back to the old cooking board."
Later, Electra was still trying to come up with ideas for what she could put on her pizza, but like before, she wasn't having much luck.
"There must be something else I can do for a pizza", Electra said, "what kind of pizza would customers want to eat?"
Just then, the Chef walked over to Electra.
"Hey, Electra", the Chef said, "can you pass me some things of red pepper flakes?"
"Sure", Electra said, "what for?
"Big D needs to bring them to a customer who asked for them", the Chef said, "I guess they want to spice up their pizza a little bit."
"Spice up their pizza, huh", Electra asked.
"That's right", the Chef said, "there are customers who like to do that."
"Are there now", Electra asked.
"There sure are", the Chef said, "now, about those red pepper flakes?"
"Oh, right", Electra said, "here you go."
Electra grabbed some packets of red pepper flakes and handed them to the Chef.
"Thanks", the Chef said.
The Chef walked away, and Electra once again felt some inspiration coming on.
"That's it", Electra said, "I'll make my pizza the spiciest one anyone's ever tasted."
Electra wasted no time in beginning work on her pizza, starting once again with the dough, sauce, and cheese, then topped it with spicy topping options, such as hot buffalo sauce, jalapeno peppers, and banana peppers, and put some Cajun flavoring on the crust before putting the pizza in the oven, and when it finished baking, she put the final touch on it: red pepper flakes.
"There", Electra said, "now to see what the others think of it."
Electra went and got the others, then served each of them a slice of her pizza.
"Here you go, guys", Electra said, "enjoy."
Paxton, Big D, and the Chef each took a bite of the pizza, and all three of them found it to be quite spicy.
"Man", the Chef said, "this is one hot pizza."
"I'll say", Big D said, "I can feel the heat on my taste buds."
"I gotta hand it to you, Electra", Paxton said, "you sure know how to make a spicy pizza."
"Thank you", Electra said.
"Oh, this thing's spicy, alright", the Chef said, "but it's nothing compared to the dragon's breath pizza."
Electra was a bit surprised by what the Chef said.
"The who's what now", Electra asked.
"The dragon's breath pizza", the Chef said, "it's a special menu item."
"Special how", Electra asked.
"It's the spiciest pizza ever made in this restaurant", the Chef said, "it's on the menu as a challenge item."
"A challenge item", Electra asked.
"Yes", the Chef said, "you have to try and eat as much of it as you can without falling victim to its spiciness."
"Interesting", Electra said, "how many have successfully finished it?"
"One", the Chef said, "others have managed to eat almost half of it, but the rest have failed in their attempts."
"I see", Electra said.
"But your pizza is still pretty spicy", the Chef said.
"That is is", Paxton said, "is it going to be your signature pizza for the employees' section?"
"No, I don't think so", Electra said, "I think I need to keep thinking about it."
"Oh, okay", Paxton said, "well, just let us know if you think of another one and want us to try it."
"Will do", Electra said.
Electra went back to the pizza counter, upset that once again, her pizza idea didn't work out as well as she thought it would.
"It doesn't sound like any pizza I could come up with could be spicier than the dragon's breath pizza", Electra said, "guess that means I'd better keep thinking."
Electra resumed her process of brainstorming ideas for pizzas and making them as she came up with them, then showing them to her co-workers, but each time she did so, she found there was something wrong with them, such as them being too similar to another menu item or not working out as well as she thought they would, and after a while, she began to grow more and more despondent.
"This is hopeless", Electra said, "I'm never gonna come up with a good enough pizza at this rate."
As Electra thought sadly about her predicament, the timer on the oven went off, and the Chef walked past her and pulled out what looked like a brownie shaped like a pizza.
"Here we go", the Chef said, "one brownie pizza baked and ready to serve."
The Chef set the brownie pizza on a serving plate, sliced it, and walked away to serve it.
"The customers sure love the brownie pizza", the Chef said, "in fact, it's nearly as popular as the cookie pizza."
Electra had overheard the Chef talking about the Brownie pizza, and that had given her yet another idea.
"Of course", Electra said, "I know what I'll do."
Electra walked away from the pizza counter and over to the part of the kitchen where desserts were prepared.
"Coming up with a normal pizza is clearly too difficult for me to do", Electra said, "so instead, I'll come up with a different kind of menu item: a dessert."
She then began getting out the ingredients she needed to make her dessert.
"Like the Chef said, the brownie pizza is almost as popular as the cookie pizza", Electra said, "so, why not combine them both and make the best dessert pizza ever?"
Electra got to work on making her dessert, using the recipes for both the cookie and brownie pizzas as references, and after a while, she opened the oven and pulled out her final product: a brookie pizza.
"There", Electra said, "not too shabby, if I do say so myself."
Electra set the brookie pizza down to cool and walked around the kitchen, thinking to herself about her creation.
"Let's see", Electra said, "what could I do to make my brookie pizza even better?"
She walked past the Chef's menu item idea board, and noticed an idea posted on it that made her mood change.
"You've got to be kidding me", Electra said.
There, written on a notecard tacked to the board, was an idea for a "cookie/brownie combination pizza", much to Electra's disappointment.
"Aw man", Electra said, "and I thought I came up with the perfect idea."
Paxton then walked over to Electra.
"Hey, Electra", Paxton said.
"Hey, Pax", Electra said, "what's up?"
"I just wanted to see how your pizza experimenting is going", Paxton said.
"Oh, it's going, alright", Electra said, "but not anywhere good."
"I see", Paxton said, "well, I'm sure a little more time in here will help you come up with something new."
"Actually, I think I'm ready to stop now and get back to waiting table", Electra said.
"Oh", Paxton said, "are you sure about that?"
"Positive", Electra said.
"Alright, then", Paxton said, "just be sure to clean up any messes you made before you leave the kitchen."
"Don't worry, I will", Electra said.
Paxton left the kitchen, and Electra walked over to where her brookie pizza was cooling and proceeded to pick it up and drop it in the trash can.
"So much for my new and exciting idea", Electra said, "what good is a spot in the employees' section if I can't even decide what's going to be in it?"
Electra spent the rest of her day waiting tables and making the occasional delivery, and pretty soon, it was closing time at the restaurant, and Electra punched out and made her way towards the door.
"See you tomorrow, Electra", the Chef said.
"And don't feel bad about not coming up with the right idea for your pizza", Paxton said, "maybe you'll have better luck tomorrow."
Electra said nothing as she left the restaurant and made her way back to her apartment, still thinking about how poorly she felt her attempts at coming up with her item for the employees' section had gone.
"Today was a complete disaster", Electra said, "I don't think I'll ever be able to come up with a pizza that's good enough for the employees' section."
When Electra got back to her apartment, she plopped down on her couch and decided to watch some TV to try and make her forget all about her pizza issue, and some time later, she heard a knock at her door.
"I'm coming", Electra said.
Electra got up off the couch and answered the door, and found Axel, Blaze, and Adam standing at her doorway.
"Oh, hey, guys", Electra said.
"Hey, Electra", Axel said.
"What's up", Electra said.
"Axel said you weren't answering your phone when he called you, so he said we should come and check on you", Blaze said.
"I was worried there might be something wrong", Axel said.
"I appreciate your concern, but I'm just fine", Electra said, "there's nothing wrong here."
"Maybe not", Adam said, "but you do sound a little down."
"Adam's right", Axel said, "mind if we come in for a minute?"
"Sure", Electra said, "come on in."
"Great", Axel said.
Axel, Blaze, and Adam walked inside the apartment, and Electra closed the door behind them.
"Hey, is it alright if I look for something to eat", Adam asked, "I've been working hard on a case all day and haven't eaten anything since breakfast."
"Can I look too", Blaze asked, "I haven't eaten dinner yet."
"Go ahead, guys", Electra said.
"Great", Adam said, "thanks."
Adam and Blaze walked into Electra's kitchen to look for something to eat, and Axel decided to have a talk with Electra.
"So", Axel said, "you wanna talk?"
"About what", Electra asked.
"About whatever it is that's got you upset", Axel said.
"It's nothing", Electra said.
"Electra, I'm your boyfriend", Axel said, "you can tell me if something's bothering you."
"Well, okay", Electra said, "I guess I might as well tell you."
Electra sat down at her kitchen table with Axel and told him about her attempts at trying to come up with something for her spot in the employees' section, including her brookie pizza idea, and how none of them worked out the way she had hoped they would.
"Sounds like you had a pretty rough time today", Axel said.
"Ya think", Electra asked.
"There must be an idea that's just right for your signature pizza", Axel said.
"If there is, it's probably gonna be a long time before I come up with it", Electra said.
In the kitchen, the timer on Electra's microwave went off, and Adam opened it up and took out a plate that was covered with a napkin.
"Okay, Blaze", Adam said, "food's done."
Adam walked over to Blaze and set the plate down on the kitchen counter next to them both.
"So, what did you guys end up fixing", Electra asked.
"Oh, we just warmed up some leftover pizza you had in the fridge", Adam said.
He took the napkin off the plate, revealing the now-warm leftover pizza, which happened to be the same kind of pizza Electra and her co-workers had for lunch that day: salami and mushrooms on garlic herb crust.
"Oh, yeah", Electra said, "that's the free pizza I got as a reward for getting employee of the month."
"Nice", Blaze said.
Blaze took a bite out of of a slice of the pizza and thought it tasted very good.
"Mmm", Blaze said, "this is delicious."
Adam also took a bite out of a slice and thought the same.
"I'll say", Adam said, "who knew salami and mushrooms went so well together?"
"I know", Blaze said, "and the garlic herb crust makes it even better."
"I've shared a few slices of that pizza with Electra before", Axel said, "it's definitely a pizza unlike any other I've ever eaten."
"Ain't that the truth", Adam said.
Then, Axel got an idea.
"Hey", Axel said, "maybe that could be your special pizza."
"What", Electra asked.
"Salami and mushrooms on garlic herb crust", Axel said, "that could be your pizza on the employees' section of the menu."
"I don't know", Electra said, "what if people don't like it?"
"We like it, don't we", Adam asked.
"Yeah", Blaze said, "who's to say people won't like it?"
"Well, Pax and the others did seem to enjoy it when we had it for lunch today", Electra said.
"Yeah, there you go", Blaze said.
"Electra, this is a pizza that's truly all you", Axel said, "I'm not sure anyone else could have come up with something like this."
"You really think so", Electra asked.
"I know so", Axel said, "and I also know that it's gonna be a great addition to the Pizza Man Club menu."
Hearing the kind words of Axel and his friends made Electra feel much better about herself.
"Wow, thanks, you guys", Electra said, "that means so much."
"Don't sweat it", Blaze said, "what are friends for?"
"First thing when I go to work tomorrow, I'm gonna tell Pax that this is my pizza", Electra said.
"That's the spirit", Axel said, "I just know that everything's gonna turn out great."
"Thanks, Axel", Electra said.
The next day, Electra arrived at the Pizza Man Club and walked into the kitchen, where she found Paxton, Big D, and the Chef all standing around and talking to each other.
"Excuse me, Pax", Electra said, "do you have a moment?"
"Of course", Paxton said, "what can I do for you?"
"I've decided on my signature pizza for the employees' section", Electra said.
"That's wonderful news", Paxton said, "what is it?"
"Salami and mushrooms on garlic herb crust", Electra said.
"So your usual", Paxton said, "an excellent choice."
"Indeed", the Chef said, "it's always a good idea to think of what kind of pizza you might like when considering something like this."
"That's right", Big D said, "that's how I came up with my special."
"Really", Electra said, "nice."
"To be honest, some of us were kind of surprised you didn't suggest that as your special from the get-go", the Chef said.
"Well, I was over-thinking what I'd do for my special, and I guess it never occurred to me that the perfect idea for it was right under my nose the entire time", Electra said.
"I see", the Chef said, "well, the important thing is that you've figured it out now."
"That's right", Paxton said, "and we can start serving it to the customers today."
"Sounds great", Electra said.
"I'll go make an ad for your special", Paxton said, "then later, I'll update the menu to include it in the employees' section."
"Thanks, Pax", Electra said.
Paxton went to take care of all of that, and Electra thought about her success at coming up with her own pizza.
"At last, I've finally taken my place in the employees' section with all my co-workers", Electra said, "I don't think I've ever been this happy before."
Later that day, a sign was posted in the restaurant saying "Try the Electra Special Today", and several customers had decided to do what it said and try the Electra Special, and the reception for it was mainly positive.
"Wow, Electra", Big D said, "your special is a big hit."
"I'll say", the Chef said, "I've got three new orders for it."
"Blaze was right", Electra said, "it looks like more people like that pizza than I thought they would."
Just then, Electra saw Axel, Blaze, and Adam walk into the restaurant and sit down at a table and proceeded to walk over to them.
"Hey, guys", Electra said, "what brings you here?"
"We were just helping out with a case and thought we'd stop here for a quick bite to eat", Adam said.
"I see you decided to take our advice and make that pizza you like your special", Axel said.
"And by the look of things, it's pretty popular with the customers", Blaze said.
"Well, I never would have told Pax about it if it wasn't for you guys", Electra said, "thanks for helping to push me in the right direction."
"It was nothing, really", Axel said.
"Now, what can I get for you guys", Electra asked.
"One large Electra special, please", Axel said, "it's for us to share."
"Coming right up", Electra said.
Electra wrote Axel's order down on her notepad and handed it to the Chef.
"Here you go", Electra said, "one large Electra special."
"Again", the Chef asked, "at this rate, we're gonna burn through our month's supply of salami and mushrooms."
The Chef went to prepare the pizza, and as Electra watched the customers who were eating her pizza and enjoying it, she felt proud that she had finally managed to figure out the perfect pizza for her signature item on the employees' section alongside her co-workers.
