Hey guys, here's the first chapter of the first story of the archive for Kitti Katz. You can thank yours truly for this show getting an archive. Anyway, here's the first chapter of Kitti Katz: Guardians Rise.
There was a dark, empty void. A smokey fog then took up the area, followed by flashes of various different scenes. Several unrelated scenes ran one after, almost bleeding together.
The first was a group of cats doing various things across the city.
The second showed silhouettes of what appeared three cat girls, though it was hard to make out their faces.
Finally, there was the golden spirit of an Egyptian cat lady coming closer, one of her hands reaching out.
A girl with tan skin and long, light purple hair gasped, her eyes shooting open as she jolted awake. She sat up, turning off the alarm on her phone.
"Weird dream…" the girl said with a stretch of her limbs.
"¡Katrina! ¡El desayuno esta listo! (Katrina! Breakfast is ready!)" her sister shouted from downstairs.
"¡Ya voy, hermana! (Coming, sis!)" Katrina shouted back.
Los Gatos High School…
"Alright, class, I'm signing you a new project," Mr. O'Keeffe spoke, "I want you all to get into groups of four. You are to pick an Egyptian god or goddess and write a report on them, as well as given an oral presentation," he informed his students.
Each of the students chose their respective groups. Well, except for one.
Katrina sat in the back of the room. Her outfit consisted of a zipped-up purple hoodie and blue mini skirt, both consisting of pink accents, and black boots. She had her hood up to hide her face, which was already partly hidden due to the bang of her emo haircut covering her left eye.
"Hi there," one of her classmates greeted, making her yelp.
Sitting around her were a black girl with green hair tied into a side ponytail, a Japanese girl with short blue hair, and another girl with pink hair tied into a regular ponytail.
"Um… hello…" Katrina muttered.
"I'm Kia," the girl with green hair introduced herself, "You must be Kat."
Katrina looked between the three girls.
"She does that with everyone, shortens their names. Kia is short for Shakia. I'm Azami, but you can call me Zami," the girl with blue hair introduced herself.
"I'm Tabitha, but you can call me Tabs," the girl with pink hair introduced herself.
"And you're Kat," Kia said.
"Nice to…" Kat trailed off in a mutter, looking as she avoided eye contact with them.
"What was that?" Zami asked.
"I said it's nice to…" Kat muttered again, hunching lower.
"One more time," Tabs said.
"It's nice to meet you…" Kat said a little louder, just enough for them to hear her, though she still kept her head down.
"There we go," Kia smiled.
"So, any ideas on which Egyptian deity we should work on?" Zami asked.
"Good question, there are so many," Kia rubbed her chin.
"Any ideas, Kat?" Tabs asked the shy girl.
Katrina looked between the three girls then cleared her throat.
"Well, there is one I have mind…" Kat said, sheepishly rubbing her arm.
After School…
"Kat seems nice," Tabs said, closing her locker, "But she's so shy. What's up?"
"She's a quiet girl. She tends to be by herself, like the kind of person you'd see in the background of a show," Kia told her.
"Yeah, I never see her talk to anybody or hangout other people. I don't think she has any friends," Zami said, she and her friends looking at the girl who was down the hall.
"Well, how about we change that? Come on," Tabs said, leading the way.
Kat put her backpack on then closed the door to her locker.
"Hey, Kat," Tabitha called out to her as she and the other two approached her.
"Oh, hello," Kat greeted them.
"Good job suggesting we do our report on Bastet," Tabitha said.
"I figured we could do it on one of the lesser-known gods. The goddess of cats seemed like a good choice," Kat replied though she looked away while doing so.
"It is," Tabitha said in agreement, "Listen, the girls and I were going to get a bite to eat at the Neon Grill. We were wondering if you wanted to come along," she offered.
"Oh, uh, I'd love to but… I have other plans. Some other times perhaps," Kat said while backing up. She turned around and made her way.
As the girl walked away, Tabs couldn't help but feel a little bummed.
"Don't worry, Tabs, I'm sure she'll come around," Kia reassured, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder.
"Yeah…" Tabs said, "Let's go see you know who about you know what," she said as a guy in a black hoodie passed them.
The guy in the hoodie looked over his shoulder at the girls as they walked away, a look of interest in his eyes.
Kat walked through town, her hands in her hoodie pockets and her head down. She thought about the girls she had to write her report with. Sure, they seemed nice and it was nice of them to invite her to eat with them after school, but she had to be real. Once this group project was over, they'd most likely never speak to her again. Not that she wasn't used to that at this point.
That's when she heard a noise down an alleyway to her right. It sounded like a cat's meow. It sounded frightened. That's when Kat saw a kitten run out of alleyway. It was a female white kitten with black and red patterns, dressed in a punk outfit. The kitten hid behind Kat, trembling a bit.
"What's wrong, little kitty?" Kat asked the kitten.
That's when she heard hissing. Kat got the answer when three cats appeared out of the alleyway. They were strange-looking cats because they had glowing bodies and weird colored eyes. Not to mention they had saber-like fang protruding from the corners of their mouths, as well as these weird gemstones on their foreheads. They growled as they approached the girl and the kitten behind her.
"I love animals and all, but these are some strange cats," Kat muttered to herself, "Uh, nice kitties. Just walk away and leave this one alone," she told the cats.
However, that proved to be futile as the one in the middle shot out a slimy ball from it's mouth.
"Whoa!" Kat yelped as she twisted her body and avoided the ball, "Was that a hairball?" she asked before quickly dodging a few more of them, "Ok, I didn't want to have to use this, but…" she reached behind herself.
Out of the side pocket of her backpack, Kat small canister with a picture of bear on it. The cats growled as she aimed the canister at them. The next thing the weird cats knew, they were sprayed with a thick, gray foam. The cats hissed in pain, the foam stinging and burning their eyes, the beasts using their paws to remove it. Not being able to take it, the three cats ran back into the alley before disappearing around the corner.
"Huh, Isa was right, this stuff did come in handy…" Kat said, looking at the canister before putting it away. She then turned to the kitten that had hidden behind her, "You ok, kitty?" she asked tenderly.
The kitten raised her right arm, though she winced while doing do. Kat scooped the kitten up into her arms. Kat held the kitten's paw and saw a deep bite mark on her arm, a bit of blood trickling out.
"Aww, did those mean cats back hurt you?" Kat asked the kitten, who then replied with a nod of her head, "You poor, poor little baby. Don't worry, I'll fix you right up," she cooed in an almost motherly tone, carrying the kitten as she continued her walk home.
Kat's House…
Kat sat in her bed, streaming one of her favorite shows. She then heard the meow of the kitten she patched up.
"Oh, hey little kitty. Want to come up here with me?" Kat offered, picking up the kitten and placing her in her lap, "Does your arm feel better?" she asked, scratching the kitten under her chin, the kitten replying with a delighted meow.
Kat giggled as she petted the kitten. In that moment, she decided to use the internet on her phone. Something caught her attention as checked out the blog of one of her classmates. It was a video showing three cat girls fighting what looked like literal dog people. Cat girls…
Like the ones from her dream.
The fight ended when a spear landed in front of the dog people, causing them to run away. The video itself though ended when Cisco decided to call the cat girls the Kitti Katz. Kat then felt a chill run up her spine.
"Why do I get the feeling the dream I had was more than just a dream?" Kat asked herself, looking to the ceiling.
Ok, that's the end of this chapter. I had some help with this story from my friends IrishKatana and I Write Big. As you can see, I changed the timeline just a bit.
