Kikyo stood overlooking a valley below, her long hair blowing in the wind. She felt her lover coming closer, the monk was with him.
She didn't turn, but felt something was off "What wrong, why have you sought me out"
"Kagome's pregnant"
Slowly Kikyo turned and stared at both me "And who is the father?" She asked slowly,
Both men looked at each other "It's not what you think" Miroku said,
"It's Sesshomaru"
Kikyo lips parted and her arms come out of her sleeves "How can this be?"
"Something to do with drink" Inuyasha didn't know much about that,
Kikyo stepped forward "Take me to her"
The men nodded and quickly returned with Kikyo.
Sango and Kaede were gathering herbs to make stew and Tula was sitting with Kagome while her mate built an indoor fire for the night ahead.
Kagome looked up at Kikyo, shame fell over her and she looked down.
"Tell me what happened"
Tula explained everything to Kikyo, who stood the whole time with arms crossed.
"It is a powerful concoction to ensure pregnancy, though it was mostly banned, I am unaware as to why your brother would use it. It is almost impossible to trace"
Inuyasha shrugged,
"Leave us" She told them others and one by one the left the hut.
"I will ask once, and only once," Kikyo said,
Kagome looked up,
"Do you wish to keep this baby, this will be far far worse than any battle with Naraku"
Kagome could never ever "Kikyo, I couldn't"
"I didn't think so" She turned "Do not blame yourself, that mix was meant for a demon, there was no way for you to have known or to fight it"
"No" Kagome whispered,
Kikyo turned "What"
Tear slipped "I know it affected by body, and my mind, but deep down, somewhere, I knew what I was going, I was attracted to him from the start"
"You would not have reacted upon it, the drink is meant to bring out desire and open one's heat, he most likely wanted it solely for ensuring pregnancy, he was a fool"
"So what does that make me"
Kikyo didn't answer and was silent for a moment before walking about the room "This will not be easy on you"
"So I have been told"
"He knows"
"Yes, I slapped him"
"I can still smell the power, you will need to control that"
"Kaeda told me"
"He will be back"
"You think so"
"Regardless of how much he may hate it, it is still his child, his demonic side will not allow him to ignore it"
Kagome looked down "I tried to go home"
"Running away will not help you"
"I, I wasn't running"
Kikyo gave her a flat look before going to the door and allowing everyone in.
"Monk, me and you shall go to the West, we need to obtain info"
"Info?"
"Half-breed pregnancies are difficult on humans" She glanced at Inuyasha, "There are many reasons why they are frowned upon, however, she is not just human, she is a miko and has the jewel inside her, this is a whole new problem"
Miroku nodded,
"I'm coming to!" Inuyasha stood,
"No, you will stay, with him gone she will become sick, the baby will need what little demonic aura you have to keep her from becoming overly ill"
Kagome already didn't feel good.
"We will stay" Sango and Tula agreed.
"Very well, we will leave at day break"
