By the time Ravenna and her two younger siblings, Freya and Finn, had finally gotten to the market, it was later in the day. They were greeted by the market clerk. He was done helping with a customer purchase. Once the customer had left the market, the clerk turned to see Ravenna and her siblings waiting for assistance. He came over to them and he leaned down towards them.
."Hello, Ravenna, good morning.", he said with a big smile on his face.
Ravenna started smiling back at him. As she was smiling at him, slowly, Finn was beginning to cry. The market clerk had concern in his eyes. He walked over from his stand so he could pick up Finn.
"Here let me try.",he said softly.
He was about to reach his arms out to hold the baby, but, Ravenna backed away. Finn let out a cry. That was when Ravenna sighed. She gave the baby to the market clerk. Once the clerk was holding Finn in his arms, he looked over to Ravenna. She and Freya stood and watched. The clerk noticed that Ravenna seems to be sad.
"Are you okay?", he asked.
Ravenna responded with a nod.
"I'm okay.", she whispered.
When Finn finally calmed down, the clerk gave him back to Ravenna. Then, he headed back towards his stand.
"What can I get you kids?",he asked.
