The unmentioned clients that Claudia is hoarding for herself is next lol. The Dodsons are mentioned in books #3 and Mystery #19, The Ohdners are mentioned here and there, the Willis family is only mentioned in book #2, and the Morgans are only mentioned in book #10. These families are only mentioned in passing so I figured that I'd expand on these guys.
Special thanks to templetonfugate for inspiring me to write some more about the characters as teenagers. Go check out her stuff.
Happy reading!
Since I, Claudia Kishi, run the BSC phone sometimes I get a chance to sit for kids that nobody else usually does. Like take the Willis's for example. They called the BSC once. Back when the "phantom" caller is on the loose. They never usually call when the club is here, so I take the jobs.
Not only that but they're easy kids to watch.
"Claudia, we have a hundred-piece puzzle to put together," said Brittany Willis smiling at me with a missing front tooth. Her brown hair slightly messy as I smooth it out for her.
"Can I watch a movie?" asked her brother, six-year-old Jason, holding a copy of The Brave Little Toaster. He had that glint in his green eyes telling me that it might be a new movie he's never seen before.
It was a pretty day out and I can see Mrs. Newton and Jamie passing by the house on an afternoon walk pushing Lucy along. Kristy would say I should keep the kids busy and play with them outside, but I must disagree sometimes.
"Why don't we do both?" I asked tossing my long black hair behind my shoulder. "We can put the puzzle together and have the movie play. That way we can watch it a little too. I can make some popcorn."
"Pop pop," said the young child Courtney aged 3 smiling and throwing her arms up for me to carry her.
With that we settle down in the living room. The puzzle is big enough to fit on the coffee table. Courtney is entertained with her Little Tyke pre-school brand toys. The movie plays and it's a fun easy job. I don't have to pull out materials for a messy art project, I don't have to push them to go outside to play, and they mostly entertain themselves.
"I got a corner done," said the eight-year-old next to me as I helped her. At this rate we'll be halfway done. Occasionally looking up to see Lampy and the toaster doing something or another.
"Great job Britt," I said connecting some of my pieces with hers. She beams proudly and Courtney calls for doos and I get her some apple juice.
Then I look at the clock above the TV.
"Then after this we'll have some dinner. Your mom left me a pizza to make."
"Awesome," said Jason not looking away from the television.
It's a great easy job and I love it. Since Kristy worried about the Kormans or Delaneys on the other side of town and Mary Anne lives closer to the Prezzioso's now. It's like I have this little corner of Bradford Court to myself now. It's not like I'm the only one, I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Morgan prefer Logan to sit for their four boys (Tyler, Justin, Kyle, and Dylan if you're wondering).
The Dodsons (Nicole and Brandon aged 4 and 2) all me. The Ohdners (Megan and Amber aged 8 and 5) are usually me too at least lately. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that selfish. However, when one person calls outside of club hours, I have to call at least six other people and maybe Logan and Shannon. It's difficult okay? I guess that's the reason why I'm vice president. I take what I can.
I, Claudia Lynn Kishi age 13, have my own secret clients and it's nice.
