Stacey chapter! I wanted to do something with her love of fashion so this is what came out of me. Included Mrs. Arnold and Nancy because why not? Figured it would be fun to see her interact with different people. Also Rachel is from the Friends Forever series.

Happy reading!

Stacey McGill didn't expect to be up at seven a.m. on a Saturday to go to Stoneybrook University. She was going to attend a special fashion class and learn how to sew with designer Emmaline Dupain. It was open to all ages willing to learn that went from eight to ten for a month that July. She was hoping to make her graduation dress (or her prom dress!) that she'd wear to her party afterward. Her ideas running through her mind as she grabbed her purse.

"Alright did you eat?" asked Maureen as she sipped her coffee.

"Yes," said Stacey as she fixed her twin French braids and straightened her denim mini skirt. Her white and blue stripped long sleeve shirt paired off with white ankle boots. "Does this look good?"

"You look great honey, is Rachel or Claudia joining you?" asked Maureen finding her keys.

"Claudia has morning art classes and Rachel's acting classes start in the middle of mine," she said. "Maybe I'll meet a couple of new people at the course."

With that they headed toward the school and she was dropped off. Stacey took a deep breath hoping that this would help her. She liked to think that she had a good cursory knowledge of fashion already so she'd learn a lot more at least she hoped she would. Walking in she saw two familiar faces in Sabrina Bouvier and Lily Karp. There were also a few people that were younger or older than them. Which was cool.

Stacey found a place to sit in the second row and made conversation with Lily as they talked about what their senior year was going to be like. The two seventeen year olds already talking about their futures.

"Alright welcome to fashion 101," said Emmaline, "I am your teacher, Emmaline Dupain. In this course we will learn about fashion and sewing. This can range from fabric choices, different styles, and of course sewing something of your own. To start I'd like to pair everyone up in groups of three as your group for the duration of the class. That way we have someone you can turn to for help or just a different perspective."

Stacey nodded liking where the class was going already. She looked around the room wondering who she would be paired up with. Everyone seemed to have their own stories to tell. This was going to be fun as she waited for her name to be called.

"Linda Arnold, Stacey McGill, and Nancy Dawes," said Emmaline as Stacey looked around for Mrs. Arnold. Huh, she didn't expect to see her former client in the class. She had a vague idea of who Nancy Dawes was. She remembered her being friends with Karen Brewer.

Finally, she had a redhead girl about eleven years old and Mrs. Arnold stood next to her.

"So, this'll be fun," said Stacey as they found a table together. "Do you guys both already know how to sew or know anything about fashion? My mom works as a buyer at Bellair's, and I've seen her work before if that helps."

"I'm learning a little more," said Mrs. Arnold. "I can sew and want to know what I can improve on."

"I made my dress," said Nancy twirling her skirt around. "I've been sewing with a machine since I was 9."

She smiled remembering that Mrs. Arnold loved to over accessorize her outfits. Then Stacey looked her dress and tried not to hide her shock. It was just a simple white spaghetti strap dress that fell to her calves but also had abstract black butterflies on it and some layer effects. Wow, at least she had someone to turn to when she needed help.

"Well it looks like we're off to a great start," said Stacey anxiously waiting for the class to start. "I want to eventually make my graduation dress. Or if I learn quick enough my prom dress."

"Cool," said Nancy.

"Let us know if you need help," said Mrs. Arnold excited for her. She probably remembered her own prom.

"Oh definitely," said Stacey all of a sudden wishing that Claudia had joined her. She would have so much fun here too.

Before she could turn and ask another question the class had started, they even got booklets to take home. This was like a dream to learn from an actual fashion designer. Her blue eyes lite up as she saw some stuff she never knew before like what colors go best together, which fabrics work best, how to tell good quality from bad quality and even the math involved. Maybe this would be her forever job one day.
