So I got one person tell me to set more fics in the future. Thus, a story with Shannon and her sisters, I kind of had this idea way back when I first started writing BSC fics and finally got around to it! Next chapter is a Stacey and Charlotte story and I'm putting it up for a vote. Should it be Stacey and Charlotte reuniting or the last time they've seen each other?

Happy reading!

Shannon Kilbourne looked over at her sister's diploma before helping her pack it into a box. Maria gloomily packing for MIT, stating that she was going to miss her friends. Shannon just rolled her eyes yet understood. She missed Stoneybrook before she decided to leave the country for university. Now, it was more like a home away from home.

"Think about it this was Maria," said Shannon tugging at Maria's auburn braid. "You'll always have home to come back to."

"Yea that's true," she said giggling and decided not to pack up her swim trophies. They would be here after all.

The house was eerily quiet before Shannon frowned. It was almost too quiet as she wished that they still had a dog still. After Astrid died, well, it was too hard to fill that hole in her heart. She thought about getting a small dog but had time to get said dog. Then they heard Tiffany walking up the steps. It almost sounded ominous when she heard heard Tiffany call them down the step. Sharking a look with her younger sister, Shannon and Maria shrugged, before heading down.

In the living room was her parents, waiting for them. Pizza and cheesy bread sitting on the coffee table still warm in their boxes.

"Hey, I didn't hear the pizza guy come," said Maria as Shannon looked at her parents suspiciously. They rarely had pizza that they didn't try to make themselves first.

Her mother clutched a necklace and her father staring at the fireplace as they helped themselves. Tiffany already had half a slice already gone. She was nervously chewing on the pepperoni that she picked off a slice.

Quietly Shannon sat next to her sisters. At 23, she could tell that something was wrong, very wrong her eyebrows kitted together concerned.

"Girls your father and I have something to tell you," said her mother, Kathy, as she took a deep breath. "Now that you girls are in college, you'll all be moved out, and your father and I… Well..."

Well, that was true. Shannon herself working on her master's in international studies in England. Tiffany who opted not to go to college, shared rent with a friend near Stoneybrook University, worked at Stoneybrook General Hospital at the registration desk. Maria heading off to MIT and majoring in engineering. It appeared that her parent were now empty nesters.

Granted they probably didn't see much of each other anyway. Her dad, Ted Kilbourne, worked as a lawyer in Stamford. Her mom went to learn how to teach and worked at Stoneybrook Academy teaching the fifth graders.

"Are you guys going to get another dog?" asked Tiffany excited.

"Well," said her father, as he looked at them. "This is kind of hard to say but your mother and I are getting a divorce."

Then it was quiet in the house. Shannon could tell that this was coming. Well, no, not right this second or today, or even last week. She remembered faintly having concerns when she was in middle school. Tiffany and Maria looked at each other and shrugged. Shannon ate her slice of pizza in silence.

"Girls," said her mom carefully.

"Maybe it's just me, but that's kind of a relief," said Tiffany sighing loudly. "I mean I'm home more then Maria and Shannon and… well… You guys were fighting. A lot. I'm going to be glad not to hear it."

Maria was quieter than usual as she stuffed her pizza in her mouth. Shannon just sighed and nodded along with her sister. She could see it just took a lot longer then she thought.

"So, I guess this is it?" said Shannon quietly thinking of how this was going to work out. "Where are you guys even going to live?"

"I found a place over on Bradford Court," said her mother with a soft voice. "It's small but very nice. You girls can come over whenever you want."

"I found a place in New York," said her father. "Well, it's more the Hamptons."

"The Hamptons?" said Maria loudly. "Like where the famous people visit? So, you're going to retire and move there full time."

"Maria," said her mother tearfully.

"No, I get it. You waited until I graduated and moved out, you stayed together for me when you were clearly unhappy with each other. Personally, I can't wait until you guys can divorce," said Maria. "Maybe you'll be happier."

Shannon hugged her sister close, and Tiffany leaned in leading to a giant bear hug. From the corner of her eye, she could see her parents share a look before joining in. At least it looked like her parents weren't going to be fighting anymore. They didn't look bitter or like they hated each other. They just grew apart.

"If it helps, we'll both get a dog too," said her father cracking a smile.

"And plenty of ice cream when you come over," said her mom laughing some.

Well, it wasn't the worst thing in the world, thought Shannon as she tightened her grip on Maria one last time before pulling apart. She guessed that she needed more boxes and would help Maria pack up those trophies after all.

They had a new place to call home after all.
