A/N: Okay! I'm going to start spread the word around for MHA fics, on YouTube people have been posting videos of Text to Speech reading stories that change the name of the story and not crediting the original authors or even linking to the story. One such Youtuber by the name of KO_Sensei did this to me with another of my stories (Quirk: Magical Girl Mascot). Now if they credited and or linked me I would be cool with it. Hey they're spreading the word of my fanfic so that more people who might be interested will read it. But no they claimed it as their own. And there are more videos on KO_Sensei's page. So please check out his page, see if there a scenario that matches a fanfic you've written or you know the story of and report it. And do the same for other Youtubers like this... like I said it's cool to post reading videos as long as you're crediting the original author but what they are doing is not cool! Chapter 37: Side Effects and Stitched Up Hearts
Shoto's body shook, after all this realization was bad. They didn't know how long it would be until the two of them stopped existing as two separate people.
"We need…" said Shoto.
"End this now…" said Izuku.
They implanted their plan.
Instead of encasing All Might in ice all the way, they encased it up his knees.
All Might closed his eyes and chuckled to himself.
"You're quick must be starting to fail if that's all you can." He laughed.
He opened his eyes… expecting that the try would once again run away like before.
He wasn't expecting that they were right at him, their right fist coated in ice. He didn't have time to react as the two punched him in the spot of his injury.
All Might was in tremendous pain so the two it upon themselves to cuff him.
In the observation room.
"That's odd…" said Yaoyorozu.
"Do you think he's faking it." Said Tsuyu.
However Katsuki, Ochaco and Tenya were all gaping at what had transpired.
After all they knew about the injury.
Back on the training ground…
And then Izuku took over the body to profusely apologize to All Might. Even repeatedly bowing.
"Its' all right Young Midoriya." Said All Might.
He would have laughed at such a reaction, had he not been in terrible pain.
'Midoriya!" thought Shoto.
"Oh right!" thought Izuku.
He felt it, the merger hadn't gotten that far and he can still leave the body.
It took a lot of energy to do it, but after about a minute they were able to separate.
The strain of doing so caused both of breathe heavily, even if it was arguable that Izuku would need air.
"MI doyra! Are you okay?" asked Shoto right at him./
"I'm fine… are you?" he asked.
And that was when they both realized something very important…
Shoto could clearly see and hear him.
"You can see me?" asked Izuku.
"I can see you." Said Shoto.
Izuku started to cry.
"Midoriya!" said Shoto unsure what to do.
"I'm sorry… it's just that it's been a long time since someone's been able to see me that one of the Pines." Cried Izuku.
"Um… Young Todoroki… I'm not in any shape to free myself form the ice." Said All Might.
"Oh yeah…" said Shoto.
He melted his legs out of the ice.
Once he was done, Shoto looked at Izuku, that was when he decided to see if he could touch him as well.
Shoto touched his arm and didn't go through him.
Izuku was shocked by this.
"Wait/… does that mean I can't possess you again?" asked Izuku .
"I don't think you should try." Said Shoto.
Izuku sweat dropped.
"Young Todoroki…" said All Might confused.
"You should grab the puppet.' Said Shoto.
All Might's eyes widened as he realized something.
"Wait… can you see Young Midoriya?" asked All Might.
Shoto nodded.
All Might reverted to Toshinori after coughing up blood.
"All Might!" cried Izuku as he had already grabbed the puppet./
"I'm fine." Said All Might.
Neither boy voiced by neither were convinced he was okay…
"We punched you in your wound… you're probably in tremendous pain." Said Shoto.
Toshinori sighed.
"I guess I can't hide it from you." Said Toshinori, "But that move was really desperate…"
"It was…" said Izuku.
"He's worried that if he failed the exam he wouldn't be able to go to camp." Said Shoto.
"I know if I don't go, Bill will probably make a move." Said Izuku, "And I wouldn't be able to protect them…"
Toshinori blinked and looked a mix of sag and angry for a split second.
"Did something go wrong with the possession?" asked Toshinori.
"We almost merged into one being." Said Shoto.
Toshinori got that mix of anger and sadness again though a bit more anger than before but he quickly hid again.
"I think that's something you might need to tell the pines." Said Toshinori.
It didn't help now that Shoto could see Izuku.
"We know." Said Shoto.
Izuku just sighed.
Sometime later…
They met up with the Pines.
"I'm sorry but what!" yelled Dipper.
"Yeah…" sighed Izuku.
"So you can see him?" asked Mabel.
Shoto nodded.
"But you nearly merged in the process." Said Ford.
"To be fair I had no idea it was going to happen." Said Izuku.
"Honestly we know very little about your from." Said Ford, "However I think we can all agree that you must never try this again… even if you're trying to get someone to see you."
"I'm not that desperate right now." Said Izuku.
"You just said right now." Said Shoto.
Izuku sweated.
"I think he's referring if he has to kill his body…" said Mabel.
Izuku nodded silently.
"Okay… that would make a lot of sense if you did that." Said Stan.
"If you kill your body you will outlive us." Said Dipper, "And then you would be alone…"
"Okay! Only do this again under a certain set of circumstances…" said Ford, "But for the near future don't do this again."
"I know." said Izuku.
"Also just be on the look to for other side effects." Said Ford.
"Yeah you might have each other's memories or personality traits." Said Mabel.
Both of them were a bit worried, though thankfully as time went on they would realize that Shoto being able to see Izuku was the only side effect of the merging process, with the theory being that they stopped the merging process early enough that there wasn't any personality or memory merging.
Though at the moment there was a still a bit of worry…
"Still something we need to keep in mind when possessing someone." Said Stan.
"I don't plan to possess another living person." Said Izuku.
"Good!" said Mabel, "Anyways there's someone I was hoping to talk to and if I hurry I can still catch them later."
They'll watched her leave t top speed.
"What is she up to?" asked Todoroki.
"I don't think I want to know…" sighed Izuku.
?A few minute later Ochaco was walking alone.
"Hey-o!" yelled Mabel appearing to her.
Ochaco jumped and then realized it was Mabel.
"Oh hey…" said Ochaco.
"I didn't hear what happened but I get the feeling you realized something." Said Mabel.
"What?: asked Ochaco.
"You like Izuku, don't you." Said Mabel.
"What?" asked Ochaco who started to blush.
"You realized you have a thing for Izuku… don't you?" asked Mabel.
"It's not like that all." Said Ochaco.
"Oh that's a shame… I was hoping to set you two up." Said Mabel.
"I don't know if he wouldn't even want it." Said Ochaco.
"That's a shame pretty sure that he has a crush on your too." Said Mabel.
"what?" asked Ochaco blushing.
"Yeah… I'm pretty sure." Said Mabel.
"Really? You think he's go for me?" asked Ochaco.
"Of course." Said Mabel.
She had a look on her face that said "I might smash their faces together".
"Does he say things about me?" asked Ochaco.
"No but it's clear…" said Mabel, "Plus there was a girl I knew had a crush on him in middle school but she didn't have a chance since she never spoke up for so many reasons."
Ochaco blushed knowing that there was a girl who had a crush on muddle school but didn't have a chance…
"Don't worry! I'll help you get Izuku!" said Mabel, "Plus all of my matches always ended in happy marriages. I've paired up many of mine and Dipper's relationships! And they all ended up happily…"
"Wait wasn't there a divorces a few years back with one of Dipper's decedents?" asked Ochaco.
"I didn't have a hand in that relationship." Muttered Mabel, "They met in college and I hated the guy… not surprised by everything involving the divorce."
It should be noted that Mabel wasn't lying… she had nothing to do with the pairing and the fact that it came out that her husband just wanted to marry into the Pines family nailed it.
"Well… if you think you can help." Said Ochaco.
"I'll figure out some ideas! Don't worry!" said Mabel.
When everyone returned to class Izuku found those that filed the exam depressed, and that included Sero.
"Hey you guys all right." Said Izuku.
"We failed and we won't get to go to camp." Said Mina.
"I'm sure there might be a twist and you'll get to go!" said Izuku.
"You passed your exam." Said Sero.
"Yeah but the robot body got destroyed and I ended up doing something that I can't do again…" said Izuku.
"What happened?" asked Kirishima.
"I don't want to say… but Todoroki can now see me." Said Izuku.
"Wait! Really?" asked Mina, "That's so cool!"
"It wasn't… what we did ended up being really scary." Said Izuku.
"He's fucking right!" yelled Katsuki, "He's not doing it again."
"You heard, didn't you?" asked Izuku.
Katsuki nodded.
"Even if I want to see you don't fucking try that again." Said Katsuki.
"Okay Kacchan." Said Izuku.
The five that filed stared at this.
"What happened…" said Kaminari.
"I don't think I want to know…" said Sero.
They all took their seats.
"All right I have good news, all of you have passed your written exams. However 5 of you, including Sero have failed their practical exams." Said Aizawa, "Which means…"
The class was dreading what he had to say.
"You'll all be going to the summer camp." Said Aizawa.
The five that failed were shocked by the surprise twist.
"This camp is for training, so it would make sense that we wouldn't let you miss it." Said Aizawa, "And I apologize for saying if you failed the exam you wouldn't be able to attend…"
He seemed to be looking at Izuku when saying that.
He did hear about the desperate move and why he pulled off the desperate move…
"But just remember the remedial classes will happen during camp." Said Aizawa.
The five who failed all sighed.
Still they were all going to camp…
Though Izuku was a little upset.
After all he and Todoroki nearly merged into a single being on the assumption that if he had failed he wouldn't be at the camp if Bill showed up.
Though he was able to get over that as the day went on.
During lunch, various students were talking about what they needed for the camp.
"Hey! I have an idea! Let's all do a big shopping trip together!" said Toru.
This got the whole class talking with most of the class agreeing to go.
Though Shoto declined as he was planning to visit his mom on days where they had off and there wasn't a team meeting of some kind.
And so everyone was excited.
On the morning of the mall meet up, one member of Class 1-A looked through shirts on what to wear… they had plenty of shirts.
They didn't know but they felt a pull to one shirt in particular… they knew it was the symbol a rock star from the dawn of quirks. He was a well-known one and often championed for quirk rights… they didn't remember the whole story but something about a friend of his being one of the organizers of early quirk rights.
Still they didn't know why but the shirt felt right to wear that day…
They would later realize why by the end of the day.
Later at the mall everyone was slowly arriving. Though it turns out Dipper and Mabel were there too.
"Oh cool!" said Mina, "You guys are hanging out today."
"Yep!" said Mabel, "Plus I got some very special plans for today."
Mina got a feeling from it.
"Really now?" asked Mina.
Ochaco was blushing figuring it had something to do with ?Mabel trying to set up her and Izuku.
Everyone who doing this trip soon arrived… with Jiro being the last one…
"Hey." She said, "I'm the last one…"
"It's fine we didn't wait long." Said Yaoyorozu.
That was when they all saw at her shirt… most of the class just brushed it off, however Izuku, Katsuki, Ochaco, Tenya, Mezo, Toru, Dipper and Mabel all recognized the shirt.
And then Dipper started to freak out.
"(Of course you're his fan! Of course!)" he yelled.
Mabel began to laugh like crazy.
"What is it?" asked Jiro.
"That's one of the symbols." Said Izuku.
"Wait some random shirt that Jiro has just happens to have the symbol." Said Kaminari.
"Well…" said Mabel.
That was when Jiro remembered quirks.
"This a Robbie V shirt." Said Jiro, "He was an American rockstar from the dawn of quirks."
This only made Dipper angrier.
Jiro got to the Wikipedia page about Robbie V… she scanned through it quickly and found a certain section…
"Relationship with the Pines Family." Read Jiro, though she was translating from English as she was fluent in the language, "He was very good friends with Mabel Pines-Williams to the extent when they were young, Mabel was the one who set up Robbie with his wife Tambry, though the two had known each other for years. Their friendship lasted for many years to the extent that Mabel's daughter Jessica married his Son. He went on to help her with various charities to fight for Quirk Rights. Conversely while his relationship was close to Mabel, his relationship with Mason was tenuous at best. The two often glared at each other in public. Their animosity came to a head at the wedding of his son's when he got into a fist fight with Mason. A mutual friend of theirs named Wendy commented "Yeah they're both idiots. Back when were kids I dated Robbie while Dipper had a huge crush on me. Honestly it's been decades, they're both way over me by now… come on…". It was said that their animosity lasted until both of their deaths…" she read to the large group.
"Wait didn't you say that there was a symbol you knew about but you didn't tell the guy because Dipper didn't like him?" asked Kaminari.
"Yep!" said Mabel.
"And you went on to have a fist fight at his son's wedding?" asked Kaminari.
"With someone who was also his niece." Pointed out Sero.
"Oh they! You're right!" said Kaminari.
"NO! NO! NO!" yelled Dipper, "I'm calling it now! This my blackmailing the president! I happened after I preformed the ritual so I don't remember it happened."
"Blackmailing the president?" asked Tsuyu.
"Oh Stan blackmailed the president after we performed the ritual." Said Mabel.
"How can you be so casual about that?" asked Jiro surprised.
"Wait… was it the US President that was elected in 2016?" asked Momo;.
"Yeah." Said Mabel.
"Oh… that makes sense." Said Momo.
Those that didn't know world history all stared at Momo.
"Trust me… you don't want to know about that president… or what he's done…" said Momo.
"That president had so much dirt on him." said Mabel.
"Anyways that happened after the ritual don't rem ember it and it doesn't count." Said Dipper./
"Yeah… unlike sigh Stan this happened way after and it's' not like we knew Dipper was going to get into a fistfight at my daughter's wedding decades in the future." Said Mabel.
"Wait… you knew he was blackmail that guy?" asked Kaminari.
"Hey! Let's go shopping!" said Dipper and then added under his breath "Wow… that's something I never thought I would say…"
"We have plenty of time to deal with this revelation after we do our shopping." Said Tenya.
"Yeah… I guess." Sighed Jiro as or rather Kyoka due to the fact she was a team member.
Everyone began to split into groups… And one such group ended up being Ochaco and Izuku.
Ochaco looked at Mable who gave the thumbs up.
Ochaco was nervous and she needed to do it…
Hopefully nothing would go wrong with this day…
Plus hearing that ghat Mabel set up a friends as a kid and they got married really helped…
Hopefully nothing could go wrong… right?
