Without any more delay, please enjoy Day 2!

Weiss woke up the next morning extremely tired, her night being a mix of nightmarish dreams and fretful slumber. Yet, like always she woke up right before eight. It did not matter that it was Sunday and she didn't have classes. Though when she woke up, it felt like the only thing she could do would be to stare at the bottom of Ruby's bed above her and let out a sigh. Even with her final decision, it was still taking a toll on her both mentally and physically. Luckily for her, she was the only one on her team to follow her normal sleep schedule on the weekends. Even the excitable Ruby chose to sleep in a little on the weekends, especially since the first time she didn't, she ended up studying with Weiss all day.

Despite her mind telling her it was okay to drift off to slumber once again, she forced herself out of bed and into her morning routine. She absent mindedly moved through the motions until she reached the point of brushing her teeth. Her mind finally came to attention when her eyes caught the scar that ran across the left side of her face. A scar she once took pride in now only made her feel even more hollow. The events that led to this wound were all mute in the face of the inevitable, the power that it symbolized washed away once again by her father. Anger began to rush throughout her mind as yet another thing in her life was cut out by her father. It started with him making her cut off her friends, then next her family, and now meaning. She slammed her fist down onto the sink in anger, tears forming on her eyes out of pure rage.

Yet, it was all for naught. Her father had all the power, he had been proving this power to her for the last 17 years and he proved it once again. She felt like she was just a puppet of her father's hand and now she was being discarded, lost to the world in some landfill somewhere out of sight. Weiss quickly took a moment to recompose herself and listened to see if her little outburst had awoken any of her teammates. Luckily, [by the sound of it] she had not. Quickly leaving the bathroom she reentered the main room where the others slumbered. She longingly gazed upon her friends. Her eyes lingered a little longer over Ruby before she started her preparations for the day. She quickly left a note excusing herself and quietly left the room for the few errands that she had planned.

It did not take long for her to arrive at her first destination, the Vale National Bank. She was here for only one reason and one reason alone, to check how much Lien she had left in her account. It was fortunate that Vale required any students of Beacon to have an account with the local banking system, that meant that everytime her father gave her the weekly allowance it was deposited into an account that only she had access to. Not even the SDC would go against the largest banking institution in the entire Kingdom of Vale, and thus she felt safe with her Lien there. Entering quickly she counted herself gratuitous that the VNB had a seven day a week schedule for once as she walked up to the counter.

"How can I help you, Miss?" asked the kind woman behind the bullet proof glass.

"I would like to check how much Lien I have in my account currently." Weiss respectfully said as she handed the woman her Beacon ID and scroll with her Atlas ID on it.

The woman quickly went about her business getting the correct information and gawked at what she initially saw and then looked one more time at Weiss' ID's. That's when the realization finally hit the woman that she was talking to now other than the Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the largest company in the entire world and that the money in her account was chump change to them. At this the clerk felt a little intimidated and quickly finished writing the information down before handing everything back to Weiss.

"That's everything, Miss Schnee. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" The clerk responded choppily, trying her best formal interpretation.

Weiss only sighed at this, everyone always assumed that she had to be treated like royalty and it honestly infuriated her. Yet as a Schnee, one must not show any signs of emotions in public so she calmly responded with a smile "No, that is all." She then turned and walked out of the building and as she walked finally gained the courage to look at how much she truly had left in her account.

Peaking at the paper in her hand she read the number and reread it once again to make sure that she saw it correct. She indeed read it correctly the first time, she had a total of two hundred thousand Lien in her account at the moment. She quickly did the math in her head, the standard house in the suburbs near the outer walls of Vale were roughly fifty thousand Lien. Add that with hiring an attorney to write her will for her and she should still easily have roughly one hundred and forty thousand Lien left afterwards. Good that is enough for her last days to be fun with her friends without having to penny pinch. Next stop was the realtor and finally that attorney.

It was starting to get closer to three by the time Weiss had finished all of her errands for the day, it could have been done faster, but she was still all right with what time she had left in the day. Considering how much convincing it would take for her to get an attorney to approve her will, no matter how high the pay. [He was getting paid by her, it didn't make sense that it took five times for him to concede!] During that time, she had received five calls and over a dozen messages from Ruby alone wondering where Weiss was. While all scrolls had a location function for Beacon teams, it only worked within a certain range and luckily Weiss was nowhere close enough for Ruby to use that function. That left Weiss with one last question, what would she do for the rest of the day?

As if on cue to answer said question, her orange haired friend ran right into her, causing the both of them to collapse the ground in a pile of limbs. Quickly, the orange haired woman jumped off of Weiss and loudly said "Sorry! I didn't see you the- Weiss!" Once the orange haired woman noticed it was Weiss, she quickly gave her a bear hug and spun the white haired woman around.

Normally, Weiss would have quickly grown flustered at such an action and begin scolding anyone that dared lift her like this, even Ruby. Though with recent events she decided to let such a thing drop [What's the point in it] and began to chuckle. Said chuckle slowly grew into full blown laughter until her friend put her back down and cocked her head at Weiss in confusion.

"You okay there, Weiss? Knock a few screws loose?" Her friend asked while knocking on her own head to symbolize her question.

"No Nora, just laughing at the absurdity of the situation is all." Replied Weiss through her dying laughter. After taking a few more moments to collect herself, she continued on "What brings you into Vale today? And where is Ren, aren't you two always together?"

Nora blushed and replied quickly "We are not together, together." She then gave a proud pose and stated "And he had to study today so he gave me free reign of Vale today as long as I did not destroy anything!"

Weiss stared at her with an arched eyebrow, Nora and free does not sound like a good mix. Weiss thought about it more and finally came to a conclusion: she had nothing more to do today and she wanted to spend more time with her friends before the end. So this fit perfectly. With that settled she asked Nora "Would you like to hang out today?"

Nora on her part looked at Weiss with great speculation before asking "Are you going to try to reign me in?"

Weiss simply shook her head and replied "No, today you get to decide what we do."

Nora's face lit up with pure joy and she exclaimed "Really!" When Weiss nodded along, Nora rushed forward and grabbed Weiss' arm before zooming off with Weiss in tow. [What did I get myself into?]

To answer Weiss' earlier question, what didn't she get herself into. By the time the sun was finally setting, Weiss' heels had been completely worn down by all of the time she spent that day being dragged around. Good thing she always had six pairs of identical heels in her wardrobe, one can't see her wearing the same pair every day.

The two women had gone to at least three different restaurants in those few hours, Weiss had been full after the first one but she relented and went to the others with Nora. [This woman must have had a bottomless stomach]. Weiss just sat and listened to Nora ramble on about almost anything, from her dreams the night before, to how she once found a potato chip that was shaped like a sloth and she realized she must have one as a pet. It did not matter what Nora talked about all night, Weiss found herself enjoying every word of it. They went around a park where Nora rushed around and disappeared often only to reappear in the oddest of places. Once behind a statue that Weiss was staring at, [how did she even get there without Weiss noticing} out of the canopy of a tree, and even from behind a dog. The woman had boundless energy that even rivaled Ruby's.

What truly made Weiss smile was that she never knew half of the things about Nora that she was learning over these past hours. She felt happy that she could spend time with her and get to know her even more. [Wait] These thoughts began to send a pang of regret into her heart as well. It was only towards the end of her life that she truly got to know Nora as more than just a fellow huntress-in-training.

Of course, that wasn't mainly on her mind at the moment. No, what was on her mind was how the two of them were not going to make it to the final transport back to Beacon for the night. "We aren't going to make it!" Shouted Weiss over the rush of air as Nora was dragging her towards the bullhead station in Vale.

This caused Nora to screech to a halt, making Weiss collide with her immovable body. Weiss would have fallen to the ground if not for Nora's firm grip on her pale arm. [Weiss is going to have a handprint on her arm for the next few days, isn't she?] Nora turned towards Weiss with a devilish grin and Weiss paled even more. Weiss knew that grin, it was the grin she made when she came up with the stupidest ideas and was planning on acting them out. "No, Nora do-"

Nora simply cut her off "Don't worry Weiss, I have an idea on how to get us there in time. Plus you said I get to decide what we do today. So get ready."

Weiss made to respond before she finally resigned herself to her fate, she did indeed tell Nora she can decide what they did today and the day wasn't over yet Nora was raising a good point, so Weiss just simply nodded along. Nora's grin grew even larger as she pulled Weiss into a one armed hug. "Good, now hold on!" Nora yelled out as she unveiled her weapon, Magnhild, and unfurled it into its warhammer form.

Weiss started to regret what she signed up for, but before she could voice her concerns, she was launched from the ground with Nora towards the bullhead station in the distance. The only thing that escaped Weiss' lips was her girlish scream as she sailed through the air.

"I am telling you Weiss it was so awesome that we got there in one launch only!" Nora exclaimed to Weiss in the hallways leading to their dorms. Her hair had an obvious windtorn look to it, much as Weiss' had the same look.

Weiss just sighed and thought about it once more before a small smile broke across her face and she replied "You are right, that was rather 'awesome'"

Before the two women could continue their conversation, two doors opened down the hall across from each other and out stepped two individuals. One was a red haired woman and the other a black haired man. The two women immediately flinched as they saw them, as the red haired woman had her arms crossed and was tapping her foot impatiently. Meanwhile, the black haired man had a calm look to him. Most might only see this cool attitude, but Nora noticed the ever so slight frown on his face and she knew that she was in some trouble.

Nora looked to Weiss and sheepishly said "Well, this looks like my stop for the day." She then bolted into her room before Ren could say anything, leaving the man to only shake his head slightly before entering the room and closing the door behind him.

That left a stunned Weiss standing alone in the hallway, staring down at her team leader Ruby. "Well, where have you been all day?" Ruby chides.

Weiss flinches slightly at her tone and slowly walks towards her room like a child that has been caught sneaking out of their home when grounded. Once she was closer to Ruby, she quietly replied "Vale.."

Ruby just exhales and harshly says "And you couldn't answer your scroll why?" [Yup, now this is how you would expect to be scolded a mother]

Weiss gulps and replies "I w-was busy?" Her statement sounded more like a question than an actual answer.

"I can see that you were, but why not invite us… Or, I don't know, spend time with your team today?" Ruby asks. She then throws her hands up in the air and continues "I mean you usually study on Sundays, so I didn't push you too hard. To think that instead of that you were out in Vale spending time with Nora instead! Are we not your friends Weiss?" Towards the end of Ruby's last question, tears started to slowly trail down her cheeks.

Any restraint Weiss had left was simply crushed from seeing Ruby cry. She quickly answered "No!" While waving her hands to show that she did not think such a thing "I was already out when I ran into Nora, or more accurately she ran into me literally. You are my friends and I am greatly happy that you all are!"

As if she was there to break the atmosphere, Yang barked out from the room "Awe! She does see us as her friends Blake!"

Followed shortly by Blake's calm voice saying "Yang, shut up. Don't you see that Ruby's trying to put her foot down here?"

With her sister's interruptions, Ruby loses all signs of anger and jumps at Weiss and wraps the white haired woman into a large hug. She then laid her head on Weiss' shoulder as she softly said "I am just glad that you are okay."

Weiss initially cringes at the hug, but after a moment relaxes and hugs Ruby back before she softly replies "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

With that, Ruby led Weiss back into their room and the two stuck to each other's side. Right as they enter, Ruby asks "What were you doing in Vale today?"

Weiss simply responds "I needed to get a few errands done." She turned towards Ruby with a small smile and continued "Don't worry, it's all done now." Ruby simply smiles back and the four women spend the rest of the night together, doing whatever they want to pass the time. Looking back on it, Weiss had a lot of fun today, even if it was unexpected. She had a couple of firsts today as well. Her first time getting flung into the air by a giant warhammer, something that she would never have guessed was as fun as it was, and her first time having an almost mother-like conversation. Yet another thing that Ruby was able to give to her. Even if it cost her one of her pairs of heels.
