Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Prideful Plains. Enjoy the 3900-word chapter. I do not own Lion King; Disney and a few others do.
Akida was annoyed more and more, furious over it as he glanced around. He could smell her, even hear the small little letter of her words… She was stalking him through the brush, waiting like a monster hunting a wild animal.
He hummed only to see the glint of her purple eyes, her fangs glistening as she stalked towards him, only reminding him that she was as silly for now, there was a lot more to it in the way they moved and acted.
Perhaps it was fate or perhaps she was torturing him in her way. It would not surprise him that he could risk dealing with, unsure and uncertain of what to deal with it all for now.
"Hi, Akida," Vitani stated before she smiled, licking her lips with amusement before now, something that could relax and end…
It would be too hard and spine-numbing for him, perhaps for all, something that would be beyond him and it all.
"Vitani," Akida said, knowing how she would act for now.
He did not fear her, feared what she could do but not her. He knew her, he always knew how she would act and just how well it would have acted for now. Something about it all mattered more and more to him than anything else.
She stalked around him, pausing like a hungry wolf eyeing fresh meat. It did not surprise him. He was probably always fresh meat to him, something about that did not surprise him like he felt it should have now.
He was utterly focused as he hummed to himself before now… This was something that he could only deal with such a thing as she slowly yet surely slunk around him, pausing to seem relaxed, utterly tired for now.
She seemed to be tired, utterly thrown for now, and relaxed for now… There were a lot more options. She paused before humming.
Vitani paused to look to the side, looking to Akida before she seemed to keep relaxing for now and then seemed to pause for now and then looked at her friend.
Akida paused to look at her, cracking his paws against the ground, and then looked to the ground before she hummed. She wanted a fight more and more tired for now, unable to accept that he was tired.
She wanted to fight, she wanted to cut him to pieces, an idea that she would not be thrown off for now and then seemed to be utterly tired and relaxed for now. He sighed, pausing, something that he could end.
Vitani would be lying if she said that she did not want to fight him, an idea that would keep growing and he would want nothing more to more to cut her down.
"C'mon, don't you want to fight, don't you?" Vitani stated before she paused and looked at him.
She paused before smiling and looking upwards and into the sky before she hummed once more at the time being. This was not going to be thrown for a loop as she cracked her claws against the ground before now, wanting to keep growing at the time.
This was not going to be fun, too thrown to be able to relax for now, and then seemed to keep dying as he paused to look at her.
She was smiling and then looked downwards before continuing to circle him like a piece of meat, one to be thrown off by it all now and for good reason.
She had been amused, giggling, pawing at him in a manner that made Akida on edge, she purred like a cub that had just found its parents.
"What is the matter? Scared to play?" Akida heard Vitani purr as she looked at him, ready to rip into him like fresh meat.
She knew him and he knew her… There was nothing to be done, to be said… If there was? He did not know it, he pounced at her.
There was an exchange of claws and Akida found himself tumbling down the slope, spinning like a ball which had been sent flying into the arms of a waiting catcher.
He slammed into the ground, groaning before slowly trying to get up… Only to be slammed down hard. He looked up to see Vitani, her face a smirk he knew all too well.
"You know what I LIKE about you, Akida? Despite all the lions here trying to pretend they are too goody two shoes to do what lions do? You are willing to do it…Because you know you are a lion, you embrace it." Vitani said, poking at his nose as he growled.
"You're the one who constantly wants to push things too far." Akida snarled. "You always came after me, Vitani. Always me… Not the rest of the pride, always me." Akida stated.
She did not know what to say so she said nothing, giggling towards him. It was clear at the end of the day that something about her continued to draw him in… Perhaps it was too much to admit she found the amusement to have been dealt with.
There was something else here, he would not have allowed it to have been dealt with for now…
Such a thing would be too much for him, such a thing was becoming too much. It was clear too much that such things were to deal with it all.
Perhaps such memories would mean little, something dealt with to the end, she could not deny there was a pull, a lure with him that she enjoyed messing with him to the end for now.
It would not matter, for there was no real way to experience it to the degree she was… But she would try for she had not been ready to think.
Vitani growled at him, ready to keep thinking for now with such sort of ideas when it was all said and done with as she paused to try and deal with it.
She had been too unable to try and deal with this… She smirked; Akida was silent before now. She had been unable to try and deal with that… But she could deal with him in the end.
She looked at him, pausing to try and deal with it. He had been too unfamiliar with it as he growled, looking at her before she seemed to relax.
"What do you want, Vitani? Huh? You have a lot more to try and deal with than me, don't you?" Vitani heard as she snorted.
She had been able to try and deal with it for now as she paused to try and deal with it at the end of it. She cracked her paws before she tossed herself at him, sending them skidding down the hill as she landed atop him.
"You, ok?" Vitani purred.
"Get off…" Akida hissed while Vitani rolled her eyes.
"Akida? You do not get it. I do not think you have ever gotten it. You are smart, but you can be stupid when it comes down to it." Vitani said as she rolled her eyes. "The more I must constantly remind you what I am here for? The better I can deal with it." Vitani stated.
She placed a paw on his skull. It was so amusing playing with him, she adored it, and then? She could relax in it at the end of the day.
"You of all people should know what is going on, Akida." Vitani seemed to think of it now. "I want you to realize something. I come here for you, I have always been able to relax around you, I have been comfortable around you, and you are funny. You get me, you have always been able to get me." Vitani stated.
Akida had been silent, slammed into the dirt, too interested in what she had told him. it felt like roughhousing but it was going to be making him exhausted for what felt like an eternity.
But? He did not trust her. He could never trust Vitani, she had always told him lies, lies which only served to try and protect her.
However? What he did do next? He did want to stop her… But he could not, she was stronger and faster and she knew it. She knew how to push buttons which she did very well when it came to him and everyone else.
She was more amused by her game than anyone else. It would not have been long before he tried to fix it and ended up trying to fix something like this.
Yes, so much more the better and so little time to try and figure it all out.
Perhaps it would be better the more that he could try this. He had a lot of time to plan it and she knew it. She knew it and wanted to use it against him at any other point in time at this very moment, knowing what was growing on his mind before he seemed to be dealt with it as he came crashing down to it as he paused.
He seemed to be dealt with for now as he paused to growl at her, not knowing what was growing on his mind. He had not been able to try and relax. He had not been able to fix it and he knew more and more with each little moment of the day and it would not end anytime soon.
To be fair? He had not been thrown for a loop as he came to a relaxing little issue on his mind and he could not for the life of him understand what was going on.
Vitani loved to anger him though, stalking him like a gazelle she would snack on the second it let it all come crashing down the ground.
She had not been familiar with it at the end of the day, not once did it inspire less than the best.
She thought of what her family would have done, knowing what was growing in her brain… She had been familiar with it.
"You wanted me to come, admit it," Vitani stated, looking at her paws.
"Well~?" Vitani asked.
"I wanted a rematch…" Akida stated before he growled. "You showed up just to go fight me?" Akida stated before he sighed and then looked at her.
Vitani leaped off his chest, rolling her eyes as she glanced at her friend, humming, too amused by it at the end of the day.
She knew him now before she paused. She had not been able to relax, knowing what the next move was, all that remained was more and more and more.
The ideas surging in her brain would be impossible to deal with for the time being.
She seemed to be dealing with it for now as she paused to try and deal with it for now as she sighed.
He had promise, she knew he had promise which was trying to think.
"I wanted you because you are funny, doofus," Vitani stated before she looked downwards. "I always come to get you. Your fun, you do not have those stupid limits the other lions do when it comes down to it." Vitani stated.
Vitani seemed to be dealing with it as she clicked her fingers before she seemed to try and deal with such logic. There was a goal trying to build and form in her brain.
Vitani sighed as Akida hummed, looking at her as she blinked before he sighed to himself as well, he could not understand this woman.
To be fair? He did not know what was going on, not at all. He was too hopeful with it all for now.
"I am sorry for the rest of the day that I don't believe you, there is a lot to think." Akida seemed to be dealt with for now.
She was too interested in the next best thing, knowing what would come as he clicked her fingers before she sighed to herself. This goal would not be easy but she did not care as it was all over his face.
He sighed to himself before he thought of himself as a fool. Every single part of his body ached, it hurt and it burned like a blade punched through his side, he had been too thrown off.
He was too interested, too distracted for now on what was going on. She slowly traipsed around him like a snake that was preparing to crush its prey.
Not much far off the proof when it came to it, not that much further off.
Akida growled at her but realized that she had a point. She had come for him; she had always come for him and it was clear he was trying to seek her out.
She stomped, pretending to lunge as he reared back. She giggled like a Fish Eagle, her teeth bared in a predatory smirk.
"See, you are NOT different from me. You are a lion, we hunt, we prey, we conquer. You? Oh, you can hide it all you want, sweet little Akida." Vitani said, strutting by as she did so.
He felt her flick him in the face and realized she had poked him with her tail as she did so.
"But you are a hunter. And Hunters like to fight, they like chasing something down, seeing it break under their power…. You like fighting me, you go out of your way to the border just HOPING I would show up. You are just so eager to prove you are not meek and scrawny." Vitani said.
"That your idea of a compliment?" Akida asked, rolling his eyes.
"It is my idea of reminding you I LIKE to play with you. You have fire and you do not make some stupid excuse about how 'lions are the top of the food chain but we're all above that.'" Vitani said as she leaped, landing in front of Akida.
"We all need to eat; we all need to hunt. Simba just likes to act like lions are above eating." Vitani said. "Now? Let us play because I am tired of waiting for you to fight." Vitani stated, dancing from pay to paw.
Akida knew following her deeper and deeper into the mess of things was going to be the death of him. Yet? He was ready to fight, to cut through it, for now, there were a lot of things that needed to be dealt with.
He had held a lot of different ideas about her, a lot which he could not even understand lest he fall to madness from it all.
Akida sighed and realized he had been dragged into something insane and beyond that. He would probably be taken for granted either way. He was owed at least a little fun for what was going on before he did deal with it now when it came down to it.
There was a lot more to see and do, a lot more to their little game than beating around the bush… Even if he was beating around it like this. He would not be dealt with for now as he paused to let it come down to it before he tried to relax.
He had been done with it for now. He had been done with it all at the same time being as he pushed it to the same degree as it had been pushed before now.
There was something that needed to be dealt with either way.
And it was annoying to him, very annoying. He could say nothing without coming off as a hypocrite and he hated how it sounded, knowing he was dead meat on a stick, knowing he had more and more to figure out now when it was all said and done.
Akida sighed and finally decided to give in. There was nothing further he could do anyway if he tried to oppose Vitani. She would probably do several things to make him regret it.
That? And he had no reason he was not going to be doing anything, he had work to do and the work he had left to do was not going to stop now.
With some reluctance, he followed Vitani who smirked, Akida watched her lips curve like a snake who had found fresh food.
"Not a word." Akida hissed as Vitani smirked at him. "N-not a word." Akida hissed as he realized he would be dealing with worse sooner or later.
It made him sigh to himself as he realized of all things that Vitani was right. It vexed him to no end but he had a little complaint.
"You are ADORABLE when you think you can do something. Truly adorable." Vitani stated, her smirk remaining. "All the lions and you just can't stand the idea of not being strong enough to beat me in a fight," Vitani stated.
He was too silent, too annoyed now but it was clear the words on their minds would be coming as he clicked his fingers and looked to the time being.
Akida was too silent and she knew it, she did not want it to come up and down the line as she wished to figure it out. Akida was ready to figure it out when it was all said and done at the end of the day.
Vitani looked at him and saw amusement finally start to dance across his face as she paused to let it all end.
All of it would be worth it in the end, that? Or they would be entirely dead, entirely too interested in what was going through the mind of himself.
He sighed, too vexed to do more than relax, to growl in painful annoyance and look off to the side, look to the side, and realize just how odd it had been when push had come to shove.
'This woman is going to end up getting me killed, all I am doing is offering myself up as a corpse and such… Smart move Mr. Lion.' Akida thought to himself as he sighed mentally, thinking only for a moment what was occurring was too odd even for him.
Akida was ready to scream either way, it made no damn bloody difference to him, only reminded him that he could keep going down now.
Akida was too interested in what was growing down the line, too interested in what he seemed to be doing, and dusted now that it came crashing down the line.
He had been too distracted now. She had not once seemed to have been done and dusted when it came down to it.
He of all people was very annoyed, why? Because she was winning, because she of all people was amused and she was beginning to be tempted by it when it came down to it.
He and she were growing closer and closer when it was all said and done. Vitani wagged her tail at him, pondering what was to come because of their quaint game.
Yes, this idea was too much but it would not remain so for the longest time, for now? Well? They had a LOT of different ideas and this? They had PLENTY left to see and even do, something about it all became harder and harder for him to see it coming.
Vitani giggled, waving her paw up to her face as she thought of it, thought LONG and HARD what would be done, and not once did she relent from the path. Well, a path she had given herself.
All of it now was just icing on the damn cake, very big icing but it was going to taste all the sweeter as she realized just how odd it would be for the plans to change.
Akida simply sighed, cursing as he realized it would not come to pass, she did not know what would become of it but she of all such soldiers before it came down to it.
She and he were too odd enough to have fallen from the path now when it came down the road, knowing what would become of it all now.
They had a LOT more to see and to do… But now? She had the tools she needed.
"I hate when you are this quiet, it never ends with good things." Vitani heard as she snorted.
She knew him, knew every print on the ground was how he wanted to be, he wanted to cut loose… Tear loose, something within him wanted to break, it wanted to cut loose… It wanted to tear loose like a strip of meat under her claws.
She was dangerous and she knew it, she knew he was dangerous, she wanted to tear that out of him.
The more Akida held back? The more she hated it, that was not him, it would never be him at the end of it.
Still? Vitani would not give up; she would never give up trying to unleash the part of him he was still trying to hold back. She would cut it all apart with her claws.
She was beyond this, he was beyond this and she was sick of watching him falter when he could be so much better, so much had tried to end now, and for a good reason.
Something she was eager to do, if she would have to break him for it to come out? So be it… It was time he stopped pretending for now, to be something about it all was growing more and more out of control now and it would not be easy to deal with now.
All of it seemed to be making him tired at the moment… It had been something he was not able to deal with… Now? Now he had been too tired and far much had been done… It was going to be easier to deal with.
Akida followed, more like a loyal pup than a warrior… He knew more and more that each little measure would have torn him all too asunder.
Both of them were all too relaxed…. It would have been harder to deal with… Far too much as Vitani smirked, looking over at him with an exhausted look at his looked downwards.
Vitani was all too amused at the time being… She had to relax, a desire to deal with. She and the others were all too amused at the time being.
She and he were on different levels… Something about it all had been an issue that needed to be done… All of it was harder and harder to think.
"You need to relax…. If I wanted you dead? You would be dead…" Vitani stated as Akida hummed.
All of it had torn through him for now… An idea had been too interesting at the time being… Something like this had been too fun for him to just pass up.
She and he were all too much and had been distracted for now… They had nothing left now.
