The 2 men who saw Mira at the park with Ben ran back to the Fairy Tail guild. They are senior mages of the guild, Wakaba and Macao. These 2 want to tell their guild mates about Mira as this was a shock to them.
"Wait! Do we really need to tell everyone about this?" Wakaba asked as they ran.
"What do you mean by that? Of course we need to tell everyone. Mira is becoming close with a boy. Who knows what that boy will do to Mira? She was hurt after what happened to Lisanna. We can't let an unknown kid hurt her feelings again. That's why we need to tell everyone so we can protect her from that kid."
"Ah, you're right." Wakaba realized what he meant.
"If he hurts Mira's feelings, he'll feel the wrath of Fairy Tail." Macao said with an angry expression.
"He hasn't done anything." Wakaba sweat dropped.
"Yet, he hasn't done it yet." Macao said confidently.
"Not every man is like you." Wakaba said as Macao hit him on the head.
"Anyway, we need to tell everyone so we can supervise those 2. We need to protect Mira from that boy's demonic hands." Macao stated.
Both of them run to the guild a lot faster and arrive in a few minutes. They open the door hastily and get everyone's attention.
"EVERYONE, IT'S AN EMERGENCY! MIRA HAS A BOYFRIEND!" Macao shouted.
"What are you talking about?" Macao looked up at a spiky brown-haired boy on the guild's second floor. He was leaning against the wall next to the S-Class request board.
"Oi, that statement wasn't quite right." Wakaba said.
"WHAT!?" Everyone else shouted in surprise after a short pause.
"Would you mind elaborating?" The spiky brown-haired boy asked.
"We saw them at the park by the town gate, Ryu." Macao informed him.
"Alright then." Ryu ripped a sheet of paper off the S-Class request board. He and the other S-Class wizards knew who the boy was, so he wasn't that concerned about it. "I'm going on a job."
Ryu went down the stairs and made his way across the first floor before exiting the guild hall through the doors.
"Wait!" Macao called out to the Dragon Slayer. "You're not going with us to protect Mira?"
"What's the point. We have jobs that need to be completed." Ryu responded before disappearing from view.
Elfman slapped his forehead and apologized to Ben and Mira in his heart. Everyone else was in a uproar and caused a ruckus. They look at Elfman and ask him about it at the same time.
He wasn't sure how to answer their questions. Elfman wasn't able to answer and it annoyed the mages. They wanted a clear answer, so they decide to see it for themselves by going to the park.
Elfman tried to stop them, but couldn't and he was run over instead. Every mage on the first floor left the building and ran to the park, even the younger members who were around Elfman and Mira's age.
"Hmm? Where's everyone else?" Makarov asked after coming out of his office.
"Master, there's a big problem." Elfman said while crawling on the floor.
In the park, Ben and Mira were playing with Bella while talking. They don't know something happened in the Fairy Tail guild and just enjoy their time together. They talk about themselves, jobs, magic, etc.
"How many magic books have you collected?" Mira asked while throwing a ball at Bella.
"I only have around 1800 books, but I've read and recorded around 3400 books from all grades. It's hard to find magic books in public book stores, so I can't collect a lot of them. The guilds and magical organizations are keeping their magic books secured tightly." Ben answered.
"1800 BOOKS?! That's a very high number already. And you've also read 3400 books. That's amazing." Mira said with a surprised expression.
"It's not as impressive as it sounds. Many magic books just contain a little information. Most of them are also low grade or incomplete. Besides, you need to know that one magic type can have many books. That's why 3400 is still a small number." Ben confessed.
"Hmm, that makes sense. Even my Take-Over magic has many books about it." Mira said.
"Every mage has their view about magic. That's why there are many books about one magic with different views. It's very interesting how the same magic can be used in different ways based on someone's understanding about that magic." Ben said with an excited smile.
"You really like magic, huh?" Mira asked with a smile.
"Don't all mages like magic? We just have different ways to enjoy and show our love for the art of magic." Ben answered.
"I guess you're right." Mira replied.
They kept talking while playing with Bella using the toys that they bought earlier. But they didn't realize a lot of people were hiding around the park and looking at them. Those people were all Fairy Tail mages.
The mages are looking at Mira and Ben intensely. They can't hear what Mira and Ben are talking about, but both of them look very close. They are very curious about Ben's identity because they had never seen him before.
"Woah, Mira is really good. He is very handsome and looks manly. Maybe I can try to hit on him if Mira failed." Cana, a girl with brown hair, said.
"Look, Natsu! There's a cat like me." A blue cat said.
"Ah, you're right. Let's talk to them." Natsu, a teenage boy with pink hair, said.
"Stop it! We're here to keep tabs on them. It will ruin everything if you go over there." A topless boy with black hair said, he's Gray.
"What did you say, Ice Princess? Also, wear your shirt!" Natsu angrily yelled.
"Huh? What did you call me, Flame Brain?" Gray angrily asked.
BONK BONK*
A girl with scarlet hair slammed their heads together to stop their squabble.
"Behave yourself!"
"Aye!" Natsu and Gray replied.
"Hmm, I think I've seen that boy somewhere, but I can't remember where." Erza, the girl with scarlet hair, said.
The teen mages are looking at Ben and Mira from behind a tree. They're curious about Mira's relationship with Ben.
"Wait! I think I've seen him too, but where?" Natsu said while trying to remember.
Natsu can't remember it even after trying really hard. He doesn't remember that he met Ben after the incident with Lisanna. Well, that was at night time and Ben was inside his car, so Natsu couldn't see him clearly.
On the park's hill, Ben finally felt the Fairy Tail mages' gazes. He looked at the gazes' sources but didn't see anyone. The mages were hiding when Ben started to notice their gazes.
Ben frowned before shrugging the feeling off. He thought that maybe some people were curious about Bella. It's always the case when they were taking jobs. People are always curious about Bella because she didn't look like a normal cat.
They play in the park for a few hours and then leave around lunchtime. The three of them ate in a restaurant that sells Magnolia's specialties. Ben and Bella never tried this town's specialties as they never went on a job here.
The Fairy Tail mages continue following them and watch them from outside. These guys really had a lot of free time. They choose to stalk people rather than take jobs.
"You guys really have a lot of free time, don't you?" A voice behind the mages asked.
"What do you mean by free time? We are doing an important thing here." Macao said without looking back.
"Oh, is it more important than your jobs?" The voice asked again.
"This is a job too, so it's important. We can take the guild jobs after we finish this." Macao said, still not looking back.
"Oh, is that so?" The person said with a rather angry tone.
The mages suddenly flinch when they realize the person's voice sounded familiar. They look back and see the person who had asked them questions. It's their guild master, Makarov, who turned into a 3 meter tall giant and looked at them angrily.
"Return to the guild, now!" Makarov yelled with a low voice.
"Yes." The mages replied in a scared tone.
Ben was alerted when he sensed Makarov's magic. It is very strong and close to their location. But it disappeared fast and he can sense that they're not the target, so he can relax.
"What's wrong?" Mira asked.
"Nothing, let's just eat." Ben replied.
The three of them resume their lunch peacefully while the fate of the Fairy Tail mages was unknown.
