The next day,Carrie was dropped off at school by her mother. She watched from the curb as her mother drove off into the distance. Carrie had a shaken feeling in the bottom of her stomach, knowing that this morning, the whole school will be talking about the food fight. She let the thought pass. As she turned to face the front of the school building, she spotted Adrien. He was with his best friend,Nino. Adrien saw Carrie, he waved. Carrie turned away which made Adrien confused. As the school bell rang, he and all of the other kids headed inside to first period of classes. As Carrie was heading towards her class,Adrien caught up to her. He grabbed her hand to make her turn around.
"Carrie, I'm sorry on what happened yesterday…",said Adrien.
"Adrien, I appreciate your apology, but, I'm not supposed to be around you…",said Carrie nervously.
"Why…I didn't mean it.",said Adrien.
"No, I t's not that. My mother thinks you're a bad influence on me…",said Carrie sadly.
"Oh.. really?",asked Adrien
"Yeah, I'm sorry. If I'm around you more, I don't know how much trouble I would get in. After all, I already am.",explained Carrie.
"Oh jeez, your mother kind of sounds like my dad.",said Adrien.
"Really?!? Is your Dad religious?, asked Carrie.
Adrien shook his head
"No, not really. You see, my Dad is a fashion designer. He makes a lot of money and he's very overbearing when it comes to me…",explained Adrien.
"Wow,me and my mother don't have a lot of money. I can already relate to that though.",said Carrie
"Yeah, don't listen to what your mom says! Obviously, I'm not that bad after all ! I'm sorry for what happened.",said Adrien
"I really do appreciate your apology, Adrien.",said Carrie with a smile that began to cross her face.
Adrien smiled back at her. Suddenly, the school bell rung ! Both of them were now late for their class! They ran towards their classroom doors.
