After school was over,Adrian and Carrie were heading outside of the school building to wait in the front for their rides to come. As the both of them were waiting,Carrie looked over at Adrian.
"Adrian, you probably should go. I don't want my mom to see you.",said Carrie
Adrian shook his head.
"No, it's fine! Don't worry about it! My Dad is caught up in the office again. My bodyguard is coming to get me.",said Adrian.
"How many assistants do you have?" ,asked Carrie.
"Well..there is Nathalie and my bodyguard,thats two.",said Adrian.
"Oh wow…",said Carrie stunned .
"Yeah..you could tell how rich I am…",said Adrian with a small laugh.
Carrie looked down, then,looked back up at him.
"Your father must be pretty powerful, I see…",said Carrie.
"Yeah, well..I guess you could say that. Even though I do love my dad, I want something more out of it than money ",explained Adrian.
Carrie raised her eyebrow at him.
"What do you mean?",asked Carrie in confusion.
"It's just, it's complicated. I realized that there is more to life than having cameras follow you around. It's annoying and not very enjoyable for the paparazzi to encourage girls chasing after you. All this makes me wish for a more normal life, you know…",said Adrian.
I, also, wish for a more normal life…"said Carrie.
Adrian looked at her in confusion
"It's just, look, I never met my Dad. He died before I was even born. My mom would say,"Momma is very religious and she thinks that everything is a sin to her" I wasn't allowed to make friends or have a boyfriend because Momma forbad it. I was always very jealous because all of the kids at my old school had parents who cared about them, and, let them do whatever they wanted. It's just I also wish for a normal life…",said Carrie sadly.
Adrian frowned at her and walked towards her to take her hand.
"You are not alone anymore…" ,said Adrian.
He let out a smile at her while and Carrie smiled back.Until the both of them heard a car horn honk…it was Carrie's mother,Margaret! That is when the both of them became nervous.
"That is my mom, I'll see you soon.",said Carrie.
She was about to leave until Adrian stopped her.
"Wait, do you want to maybe go out sometime?",asked Adrian sweetly.
Carrie went silent, she was unsure of what did he really mean by that? Her thoughts were interrupted again by the sound of the car honking one more time.
"I have got to go, bye Adrian!",shouted Carrie.
She ran off towards into her car.
Adrian watched from a distance. Carrie hopped in her car. Then, he heard another car honk. It turned out to be his car! Adrian, then decided to run and hop into the car, it was time to go.
