Super Smash Bros adventures chapter 9
Mario and Pit are having their battle at the Great Bay stage. Mario sent Pit flying with a Punch onto the Giant Turtle. Pit lands on his feet and shoots Light Arrows with his Palutena's Bow. Mario uses his jumping ability to avoid all of the Light Arrows and throws five Fireballs. Pit takes out his Guardian Orbitars and reflects all of the Fireballs, hitting Mario in the air. Mario lands on his feet, but was hit hard with Pit's Bow Slash smash attack, sending him flying offstage. Mario landed in the water while Pit is about to attack with an Air Slash from above. Mario jumps away from Pit's attack and recovers quickly back onto the stage. Pit climbs back on stage, but sent flying with a strong Kick, sending him close to the blast zone. Pit was able to stop himself and flies back onto the stage. Mario gets close to Pit and attacks with Punches and Kicks. Pit dodges and blocks every attack Mario throws and lands a strong Bow Slash attack and follows it with a Dash Bow attack, sending Mario flying to the other side of the stage. Mario lands on a platform and Pit flies toward him with an Upperdash Arm attack. Mario looks behind him and sees the Giant Turtle is about to go underwater and smirks. As Pit got close, Mario blocks his attack, grabs him by the leg and throws him straight to the Giant Turtle, sending him straight to the bottom of the sea and ending the match.

Mario and Pit returns to the Smash Mansion, shake hands after a good match, and head to the Mission Board for a mission.
"That was a nice trick you did. That Giant Turtle sent me down the ocean like a meteor with its neck." Pit compliments.
"Thanks! I thought it was smart doing that, but it was actually pretty funny of taking you out by a Giant Turtle." Mario says giggling.
"Next time we fight, I'm going to find a stage and do some funny gimp like what you did to me." Pit warned.
Mario smirks. "Let me see you try or else I'll be doing the same thing to you."
Mario and Pit arrived at the Mission Board and look over the missions. While looking, Pit picks out one mission with a picture that he recognizes.
"You found something, Pit?" Mario asks.
"This is Viridi's Staff. Can you read what it says?" Pit asks.
Mario takes the paper out of Pit's hands and starts reading. "My Staff has been stolen. Can somebody help finding it for me?"
"Viridi lost her Staff? How can she lose something so important?" Pit wonders.
"Since you know this person, want to do this mission?" Mario asks.
Pit sighs. "Fine. Let me call Lady Palutena to ask if she wants to come."

The three Smashers are at Palutena's Temple. Mario looks around and amazed of of the structure, all the Angels that are flying, and the giant Palutena statue in the very back.
"Amazing…" Mario says looking around.
"This is the first time you seen this since you only met Pit above the clouds during the Subsbace Emissary Adventure. This is my temple." Palutena introduces.
"It's so big here and there are a lot of Angles that live here." Mario pointed out.
"These are all my servants that's why. I have them live here. Let me show you to my palace." Palutena says.
When they arrived at Palutena's palace, Mario was amazed that it was so huge compared to other palaces he seen and a lot fancier and clean it is.
"This is so huge. Do you live here too, Pit?" Mario asks.
"Yep! I've lived here since I was a young boy." Pit replied.
While walking around, the Smashers see Viridi going up to them.
"Where have you three been? I've been waiting for like one hour." Viridi asks.
"We just arrived here. What's the big rush for?" Pit asks.
"Because I my Staff is gone, Pit Stain! What if someone found it and kept it for himself or it has been…" Viridi stops talking when she sees Mario. "Is that Mario? Also known as Jump Man or Mr. Video?"
"The one and only." Mario says.
Viridi walks up to him and shakes his hand. "My name is Viridi, Goddess of Nature. I'm a big fan of playing your games."
"Glad to meet another fan." Mario happily says.
"Umm, hello? Aren't we're here for something important?" Pit asks.
"Oh right, the mission. Go and find my Staff for me please. I dropped it around this temple when I arrived here." Viridi says.
"You must be really clumsy for losing a something valuable." Pit says.
"Hey! Goddesses aren't always perfect you know?" Viridi angrily says.
"Don't worry, we'll do our best to find your Staff for you." Mario says.
Viridi smiles. "Thanks Mario, you're a nice man."
"What about me and all the nice things I did for you?" Pit wondered.
"Well… I just don't like you." Viridi says putting her tongue out.
"That's true…" Pit says.
"While you and Mario are doing the mission, we'll be playing some New Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo Switch." Palutena says.
"Why can't you help out and use a power that can help search for her staff?" Pit asks.
"I'm not here doing a mission, Pit, you two are." Palutena says as she and Viridi head to the Game Room.
"This is probably going to take a while, Mario." Pit says.
"Don't worry, this can be a challenge. Whoever finds Viridi's Staff first is the winner." Mario says.
"You're on!" Pit says.
Mario and Pit split up and look around the palace. After searching around, the two Smashers look everywhere and both arrived at a large room with three treasure chests. Mario opens one up that's filled up with colorful gems. Pit opens one up and found Viridi's wooden, scythe-like Staff.
"I found it!" Pit exclaims.
"Darn it. Well, at least you beat me in this challenge. I wonder what's in the third chest." Mario says going to the third chest.
Pit looks at the third chest and realizes that its smaller compared to the two. "Wait, stop!"
As Mario is about to open it, two legs appeared on the chest and stands up. "What is this?!" The chest Kicks Mario, sending him flying into a wall. "Aaargh!"
"That's a Mimicutie! A master of disguise." Pit explains readying his Bow. "Guess I have to fight it."
The Mimicutie strikes at Pit with a strong Lunge Kick. Pit dodges it with a sidestep and attacks with his Bow. The Mimicutie dodges the attack and attacks with a fast Kick. Pit blocks the attack and pushes the Mimicutie back to gain distance. The Mimicutie runs to Pit in high speed and attacks with a furious of fast Kicks. Pit blocks and dodges most of them, but ended up getting hit with the last Kick, sending him flying. Pit lands on his feet, detaches his Bow into two Blades, and attacks the chest straight on. The Mimicutie and dodges or blocks the attacks with its legs, but got hit from a strong Slash attack with both blades from Pit, sending it flying in the air. Pit jumps and lands a downward Air Blade Slash, sending the Mimicutie hard on the ground. The Mimicutie rises back up and lands a quick and powerful Flying Kick that can easily knock out a normal person. Pit held onto the Mimicutie's leg, takes out his Upperdash Arm, and lands a powerful Punch, destroying the Mimicutie with a lot of colorful gems coming out of it.
Pit lands on the ground and does a peace sign pose. "Victory!"
Mario claps for the young angel. "That was a nice performance you made."
Pit smiles. "Thanks! We should keep these gems and take them to the Smash World."
…
Mario and Pit arrived at the Game Room and sees Palutena and Viridi playing New Super Mario Bros.
"Viridi, we got your Staff back." Pit called.
Viridi pauses the game and takes her Staff back quickly. "It's finally back to me! Thank you for your help, Mario."
Mario rubs the back of his head. "Your welcome."
"But I was the one who found it." Pit stated.
"Oh umm… I guess thanks for finding it in the treasure chest." Viridi thanked.
"Wait, you knew it was in the treasure chest?" Pit asks.
Viridi realizes what she said and covered her mouth. "I uhh..."
"I know why she knew. Viridi put her Staff in one of the empty chests here in the palace and pretends that she doesn't know where it is just for us to come here. Isn't that right, Viridi?" Palutena asks.
Viridi tries thinking of another answer, but admits it. "Yes, it's true. I just miss seeing you two since you're having fun in the Super Smash Bros tournament. I wishi I was a Smasher."
"Why didn't you say so? I can come visit you anytime. Give me a hug." Pit says spreading his arms out.
"I don't miss you that much and no hugging." Viridi says putting her arms together.
"Viridi, remember their reward." Palutena reminds her.
"Oh right! Here are five hundred gems for each of you. I gave you fifty gems extra for you, Mario." Viridi says giving the two Smashers their reward.
"Thank you, Viridi." Mario happily thanked.
"That's not fair! How come Mario gets fifty more gems than men?!" Pit wondered.
"Like I said before, I don't like you." Viridi reminded.
Pit sighs and accepts what he received. "Ok then. Where's Dark Pit by the way?"
"He was with me earlier. I don't know where he is." Viridi says.
"Tell him I said hi." Pit says.
"Let's go back to the Smash Mansion you two." Palutena says as a Smash Portal appeared.
"Before you go, can I have your autograph, Mario?" Viridi asks.
"Of course!" Mario happily says signing his signature on her Staff.
"Thank you so much! Kick Pit's butt for me when you two fight." Viridi happily says waving bye.
As the three Smashers left, Dark Pit appeared and looks around. "I heard Pit's voice. Where is he?"
"He just left a few seconds ago." Viridi says looking at Mario's autograph on her Staff.
Dark Pit groans and figure out more plans on how to get his revenge.
