Super Smash Bros Adventures chapter 23
The fight begins and the Hooded Person hide in a safe place. Hammer Bro aims and throws some Hammers at Mario. Mario dodges each Hammer coming towards him, runs in when he sees an opening, and lands a Punch on Hammer Bro, knocking him back. Hammer Bro got back up, takes out two Hammers and charges in for close combat. Mario dodges each Swing coming towards him, lands another Punch, and follows it with a Spin Kick, knocking the Hammer Bro down again. Hammer Bro got really angry and throws a barrage of Hammers as fast as he can. Mario jumps up high in the air, avoiding all the Hammers, and lands a strong Stomp to Hammer Bro's head, winning the fight in his signature way. Lyn and the Tailver Bandit clashes Swords against each other. Tailver Bandit winks with a flirty look, making Lyn really angry and pushes him back. Lyn attacks with many Sword Slashes, while the Tailver Bandit barely blocks each one of them. Lyn then sees an opening and Kicks down the Tailver Bandit into a wall. The Tailver Bandit sees Lyn charging at her, barely avoiding the attack, and attacks back with a Sword Slash. Lyn jumps back and charges in with four Illusions, surprising the Tailver Bandit. Tailver Bandit tries hitting one of them, but it was an fake. He goes for another one, but also a fake. The two Lyn's then charges in with quick speed and lands a Sword Slash from both sides, ending the fight.
From a distance, the Hooded Person was really surprised how strong Mario and Lyn were, taking out the two Bandits quickly. "So strong…"
"Errgh! That Plumber is stronger than he looks." Hammer Bro says.
"And that girl too. I thought that Sword she was holding is just a decoration to make her look hot." Tailver Bandit says.
"Now that we beat you two…" Mario stops talking as he sees Lyn running in at the Tailver Bandit. "Lyn!"
"This is for my family and friends!" Lyn cried in anger.
"Wha- what did I do?!" Tailver Bandit cried.
"She's crazy!" Hammer Bro cried.
As Lyn got close to the Tailver Bandit, Mario quickly sprays a blast of Water with his F.L.U.D.D, knocking Lyn down on the ground. While they have the chance, the Tailver Bandit and Hammer Bro quickly runs away. Mario didn't want them to run so he runs in high speed with F.L.U.D.D's Turbo Mode, and knocks them out with a strong Tackle.
Lyn gets back up and grabs her Manni Katti. "Mario, why did you do that?"
"Lyn, I can't see you like this. You were trying to kill him." Mario says.
"I can't let that man live. He's part of the group that destroyed everything dearest to me. It has to be done." Lyn says, walking towards the Bandit.
Mario jumps in front of the Tailver Bandit. "Please, don't do this. This isn't you."
"Stay out of this. I don't want to hurt you." Lyn says.
"Lyn, I understand how much you want revenge for what they did, but you also have to move on. Do you think your family and friends will be happy seeing you like this?"
Lyn stops and quietly thinks to herself, remembering all of the smiles of her friends and family from her village and everything they've done together. "Mother… Father…" She puts her Sword in her Sheath. "You are right. I can't continue being like this. As much as I wanted to kill him, I can't grow if I keep on doing this."
Mario smiles. "You're already growing."
"Uhh… excuse me?"
Mario and Lyn sees the Hooded person from before walking towards them.
"You're safe now. Don't worry, I just knocked the two of them out." Mario says.
"Are you hurt?" Lyn asks.
"No, I'm ok. You two are really strong." The Hooded person puts down her hood and introduces herself. "My name is Sharon, I need your help. Please follow me and I'll tell you everything that happened here in this village."
Mario and Lyn look at each other and decided to follow her.

The two Smashers followed Sharon into a Bakery that's damaged pretty heavily. Mario and Lyn sat down on some chairs while Sharon brings the food she stolen from the Bandits and prepares to bake something.
"Is it really ok to be here? What if the Bandits come here?" Mario asks.
"It's ok. Just in case, we can hide in the back." Sharon says, turning on the oven.
"What are you making there?" Lyn asks.
"It's a surprise. A little something for saving me from those Bandits." Sharon answers.
"Do you work here?" Mario asks.
"Yes. This Bakery is actually owned by me, my Mom and Dad." Sharon replies.
"Oh really? Where are they at?" Mario asks.
"They were… taken from those Bandits. It's been three months since everything that happened here. Everything was all good until a huge group of Bandits came and took over this village. Me, my Mom, and Dad were running away when suddenly, we were surrounded by even more Bandits. I was separated from my parents since then and never saw them again." Sharon sadly says.
"What did they do to you?" Mario asks.
"We were forced to work for them. Stealing from other villages, kidnapping people, forced labor, it was terrible. I couldn't continue doing these kinds of things so I managed to escape. I hid in places where the Bandits wouldn't find me and look for help from other villages. But, the people I asked were either scared of me or treated me the same as those Bandits." Sharon says.
"That's horrible. I understand how it's like since I know people who were like you. That's why earlier my blood was boiling seeing a Bandit from my past, triggering me to kill him. But it won't do me any better as I might be the same as them in the future. I'm blessed that I have good friends like Mario here to help me whenever I need someone to talk to or just keep me company. And Sharon, you're really brave for escaping and trying to look for help. Leave everything else to us." Lyn says.
"You mean, you're going to help me?" Sharon asks.
"That's right! We can't just let those Bandits do what they want. We'll take care of them and make sure they don't bother you all again. That's a promise." Mario says.
Sharon smiles with tears of joy falling from her eyes. "Thank you so much! Soon everything will be back to normal." A ringing noise was heard. "Oh, they're ready."
Mario and Lyn sniffs the scent in the air.
"Smells good. What did you make?" Lyn asks.
"Strawberry and Cream Filled Croissants." Sharon says, bring them out of the oven.
Mario and Lyn stares down at the Croissants as their stomachs begin to growl of how tasty they look.
"Can we grab one?" Mario asks.
"Of course! Have as much as you want!" Sharon happily says.
Mario and Lyn grab one each, takes a bite, and their eyes turn into stars from the taste of the delicious sweets. Mario quickly finishes one Croissant while Lyn takes her time savoring it.
"Delicious!" Mario cried in happiness.
"It really is. What a delightful taste." Lyn happily says.
"You like it?" Sharon asks.
"Of course! I can eat a lot of these." Mario replies, grabbing another one.
"These are something I just came up just now. I didn't think they would be that good." Sharon says.
"You just thought of these? You must be some sort of Tactician of sweets." Lyn says, eating another one.
"Thank you! As soon as this is all over, I'll make a lot more." Sharon says.
"We'll gladly accept your offer." Mario says.
…
The next day…
Sharon takes Mario and Lyn to a nice looking Inn where all the Bandits are staying in.
"So this is their hideout?" Lyn asks.
"Yeah, this is where the Bandits all stay in. All the Slaves are in there too, but forced working in the very bottom of the Inn. If I want to save them, I'll need to make sure there's no Bandits around them." Sharon says.
"So all you need is a distraction. I can do something about that." Mario says.
"What are you going to do?" Lyn asks.
"I'm going to sneak into the Inn myself and use a special item to distract them out of the bottom floor." Mario says.
"How are you going to do that? There are too many of them." Sharon asks.
"You'll see soon enough. I'll be right back." Mario says, as he runs to the Inn.
Lyn and Sharon watches from a far distance where Mario is. Mario goes up to the two Bandits guarding the entrance and take them out quickly with a strong Punch. He then quickly takes out a Cap that looks like his, puts it on, and turns completely invisible.
"What?! Where did Mario go?!" Lyn shockingly says.
"He turned invisible… Amazing." Sharon surprisingly says.
"What sort of magic is this?" Lyn wonders.
Suddenly, a really loud noise was heard. A lot of Bandits came out, looking around for what caused the noise. Mario quickly runs in, avoiding the Bandits and head to the bottom floor. As he arrived at the bottom floor, his invincibility just worn off and some Bandits found him.
"What the?!"
"Where did you come from?!"
"He's not from around here."
"These Bandits…" Mario notices one of the Bandits is a Bokoblin from Link's world and a Centurion from Pit's world. "They're from Link and Pit's worlds. Like how the Hammer Bro I met yesterday, they probably don't know who Link and Pit are. Sakurai really outdid himself making everyone we encountered to completely different people."
"What are you mumbling about? We asked where did you come from?"
"And how did you appear before us?"
"How about you guys come after me and find out?" Mario disappears again by wearing another Vanish Cap and runs out of the bottom floor.
"I can hear his foot steps. He's running away."
"You're not getting away from us that easily."
The Bandits all ran out of the Bottom Floor, leaving it defenseless.
Lyn watches as many Bandits came out of the Inn. "What is happening? Where's Mario?"
Mario escapes out of the Inn and his Invincibility ran out again. "Welp, that's the last of it. No more hiding."
The Bandits surrounds Mario to make sure he doesn't escape.
"Looks like you have nowhere else to run."
"Your tricks won't fool us anymore."
"Probably. Guess we'll have to do the old fashioned way." Mario says, cracking his knuckles.
Mario charges to the nearest Bandit and takes him out with a strong Punch. Some Bandits approached him, but ended up getting beaten by a Punch and a Kick. Mario Jumps up in the air, Stomps on ten Bandit's heads in a row, and Ground Pounds one of them, burying him into the ground. A big Bandit approached Mario from behind and throws a strong Punch. Mario stops the attack with one hand, grabs his arm with both hands, and spins him around like a windmill, knocking out a lot of the Bandits surrounding him.
"He's too strong!"
"We can't beat him like this!"
"We'll have to call the Bosses to take care of him."
"No need, we already know this was going to happen."
Mario looks back and sees a Blue Light Arrow coming straight at him and barely avoids it with a little mark on his nose. "That was close. But that arrow, it looks familiar."
"You dodged my Light Arrow. Not bad."
"Looks like this won't be as easy as we thought."
Mario looks and sees an Link and Pit walking towards him. "Link, Pit? What are you guys doing here? I thought you were back at the Smash Mansion?"
"How do you know us?" Link asks.
"We have never met you before." Pit says.
"They're acting like how I met that Hammer Bro from yesterday. And the way they look, is like they're not the ones I know." Mario looks closely at them and see Dark Energy that are coming out of their bodies. "They're like the evil copies from the Subspace Emissary."
"Are you seriously talking to yourself? How lame." Evil Pit says.
"Let's take him out together before anything else happens. We need to put a stop to him or else all the hard work we've done is all for nothing." Evil Link says.
Evil Link and Evil Pit rushes in together and attacks. Mario dodges each upcoming attack and strikes at Evil Link with a Punch. Evil Link blocks it with his Hylian Shield and Evil Pit attacks with his Palutena's Bow Blade. Mario jumps away from the attack and throws out some Fire Balls. Evil Link blocks some of them with his Hylian Shield and Evil Pit flies up in the air and shoots out some Light Arrows. Mario takes out his Super Leaf Cape and deflects all of them and while he has the chance, Evil Link rushes in and swings his Master Sword with all his might. In just in the nick of time, Lyn appeared to battle, blocks Evil Link's Master Sword with her Mani Katti and pushes him away from Mario.
"We have another intruder?" Evil Pit says.
"That was close. Thanks for the save, Lyn." Mario thanked.
"Glad that I made it in time. Who are these Imposters that look like our friends?" Lyn asks.
"Imposters? We're the real deal, lady. We're known for taking over countless villages and making them our own bases." Evil Link says.
"That's right! If you don't want to get hurt, then surrender and become our Slaves. We can really use more help since everyone else here are useless." Evil Pit says.
"They're really getting on my nerves. The Link and Pit we know are kindhearted compared to you two." Lyn says.
"We'll have to split them up. Lyn, can you take on Pit?" Mario asks.
"On it. And you can fight Link" Lyn says.
"Then it's settled." Mario says.
"This is going to be fun. Make sure you don't kill anyone." Evil Link says.
"I already know that. No need to remind me." Evil Pit says.
…
Mario rushes in and jumps up in the air for his signature Stomp. Evil Link brings up his Hylian Shield and blocks the attack. Mario continues Stomping on the Shield, finds an opening and throws a Punch. Evil Link quickly dodges it and attacks back with a swing of his Master Sword. Mario crouches under it and attacks with a Super Jump Punch, knocking Link to the air, and follows up with a Air Punch, sending him straight down to the ground. Evil Link rolls back, takes out his Shiekah Slate and traps Mario into some Magical Chains. Evil Link then rushes in and lands a Sword Slash Combo, throws a couple of Remote Bombs around Mario and detonates them, doing a lot of damage. Mario gets back up, looks up and sees a Tree about to hit him, jumps over it and throws Fire Balls. Evil Link rolls away and blocks the incoming Fire Balls with his Hylian Shield, uses the Shiekah Slate to control some Trees around him, and launches them. Mario jumps onto the first Tree, runs on it and jump on to the other ones, jumps off the last one and strikes with a Ground Pound. Evil Link blocks the attack with his Hylian Shield, but Mario's attack overpowers it and lands a direct hit. While he has the chance, Mario picks up Evil Link, throws him up into the air, followed up with a couple of Flip Kicks, continues his combo with a Punch-Punch-Kick combo, and ends his combo string with a Drop Kick, sending him flying. Evil Link slowly gets up and attacks with multiple Sword Beams. Mario avoids each incoming attack and Evil Link charges in and lands a Shield Bash, knocking him down to the ground, and attacks with a Dashing Sword Slash. Mario rolls back, Kicks Evil Link away and attacks with a running Punch. Evil Link takes out his Bow and shoots out a Ice Arrow, freezing Mario's upper body. Mario struggles getting out and Evil Link prepares an Ancient Arrow and charges up his shot. Mario uses his Fire Powers to melt the Ice and free his arms. Evil Link shoots out a fully charged Ancient Arrow and Mario quickly takes out his Super Leaf Cape, reflects the Arrow back and hits Evil Link, doing massive damage. Evil Link slowly gets up on his feet when suddenly, Mario lands a strong Punch to Evil Link's face, knocking him down to ground really hard that the ground cracked like an earthquake and the fight ended.
Evil Pit shoots out Light Arrows at Lyn. Lyn runs towards Evil Pit while avoiding the Light Arrows and strikes with a quick Air Slash. Evil Pit flies above the attack, changes his Palutena's Bow into Twin Blades and strikes back. Lyn quickly blocks the attack with her Mani Katti, pushes Evil Pit back and does another quick Air Slash. Evil Pit blocks that attack with his Twin Blades, Kicks Lyn off of her, and attacks with a fury of Slashes. Lyn does her best to block every attack, but Evil Pit overpowers her, landing many quick Slashes, and follows up with a stronger Swing, knocking Lyn down. Lyn gets back up, takes some deep breaths, and rushes in with her quick speed. As Lyn got close, Evil Pit puts together his Palutena's Bow and attacks with a Spin Slash. Evil Pit thought he hit Lyn, but it was just her afterimage. Lyn appears behind Evil Pit, lands a strong Slash to his back, then quickly lands another Sword Slash to the front, and lands another Sword Slash to the side, knocking Evil Pit down. Evil Pit slowly gets back up, takes out his Upperdash Arm weapon, and flies in high speed. Lyn clashes with Evil Pit's Upperdash Arm, but was overpowered by his strength, and drops her Mani Katti. Evil Pit lands some strong Punches on Lyn and knocks her down to the ground. Lyn slowly gets up on her feet and Evil Pit rushes in for another attack. Lyn quickly jumps on top of Evil Pit's head and lunges where her Mani Katti is and gets it back. Evil Pit continues rushing in at her and throws a Punch. Lyn jumps above Evil Pit and lands an downward Air Slash, hitting him from above, and does a quick Draw Slash, passing through his body and doing heavy damage. Evil Pit withstood from falling down, takes out his Palutena's Bow and strikes with everything he has left. Lyn disarmed Evil Pit's weapon, gets into a Sword stance with her Mani Katti in her sheath, and does a stronger QuickDraw Slash, taking out Evil Pit and ending the battle.
…
"This can't be! How can we lose?!" Evil Link angrily says.
"These two aren't normal. Looks like this is the end for us." Evil Pit says.
"After all this hard work we did ended up in dust. At least we had a good time." Evil Link says.
"Yeah. I'll see you later in ground below." Evil Pit says.
The two Dark Smashers slowly faded away into particles, as the other Bandits turn to them also.
"They're gone…" Mario says.
"Then this means that we completed our mission." Lyn says.
"All right! Up top!" Mario says, raising his hand for a high-five.
Lyn smiles and gives Mario a high-five. "That takes care of that. Let's hope that Sharon is ok."
As they're about to go inside the Inn, a lot of people came out and cheered since all the Bandits are gone. Mario and Lyn look around and sees Sharon hugging her Mom and Dad tightly.
"Mom, Dad, we're finally free." Sharon happily says.
"I thought we wouldn't see the day we'll be free from those Bandits." Sharon's Mom happily says.
"Now we can go back to our normal lives without any trouble." Sharon's Dad happily says.
Mario and Lyn go up to the three of them and smiles.
"Looks like everyone's ok." Mario says.
"Sharon, we're glad that you get to reunite with your parents." Lyn says.
Sharon let's go of her parents and hugs Mario and Lyn at the same time. "Thank you for saving everyone."
"All in the days work." Mario says.
"Sharon, who are these people?" Sharon's Mom asks.
"These two are the ones that freed everyone by beating all of the Bandits." Sharon replies.
"I see. You two have our gratitude. We have to do something special for them." Sharon's Dad says.
"You don't have too. It was our duty to help you all." Lyn says.
"But you really helped out us. We can't let you go empty handed." Sharon's Mom says.
Sharon then thought of something. "I have a good idea!" She whispers into both of her parent's ears.
"That is something we can do." Sharon's Dad says.
"If you two can stay longer, we have something we like to give you." Sharon's Mom says.
Back at the Bakery, Mario and Lyn are receiving their reward for helping them out.
"Thank you for waiting." Sharon's Dad says.
"We did everything we can to make these for you." Sharon's Mom says, giving Mario and Lyn each a huge box.
Both Smashers open the box and their eyes turn into stars as they see the croissants from before.
"You guys shouldn't have." Lyn happily says.
"There are a total of fifty croissants in each box with five different flavors in each set." Sharon says.
"Make sure you take your time and enjoy each one." Sharon's Dad says.
"We will. If Kirby see these, he'll inhale all of them and eat them all to himself." Mario says.
"Mario, Lyn, thank you again for saving everyone here. Hope that you come back when everything is all cleaned up and come back for more of our Bakery goodies." Sharon thanked.
Mario and Lyn smiles, can't wait to come back for more delicious snacks.
"You bet we'll come back." Lyn says.
"When ever you have the chance, watch the Super Smash Bros tournaments that are being held every week on your television. It's a fun experience to watch many different people brawling it out." Mario says.
Sharon smiles. "Sure! I'll be rooting for you two."
A Smash Portal appeared behind Mario and Lyn.
"Looks like our ride is here." Mario says.
"Bye Sharon, you all make sure you live a happy life now." Lyn says.
"We will!" Sharon says.
Mario and Lyn wave bye to Sharon and her parents and head back to the Smash Mansion.
"It's good to be back. Now we can have some of those delicious croissants." Mario says.
"We should share some to the other Smashers too. They have to taste them." Lyn says.
"Good idea. I'll look for my brother and give one to Link and Pit." Mario says.
"Before you go, I just want to say… I'm sorry." Lyn apologizes.
Mario turns confused. "Sorry? For what?"
"For almost killing that Tailver Bandit from the mission. I couldn't stand seeing those Bandits after what they've done. I'll never forgive them. If you didn't stop me, then I would be in even more pain and won't forgive myself. My friends and family wouldn't want me to be like this. So I'm deeply sorry in the bottom of my heart." Lyn says.
Mario smiles. "It's ok. Remember what I told you? You're already growing to becoming a better person. Soon you'll be an even stronger person than before that your tribe and family will be happy with. Continue being the good person that you already are and things will get better for you. I promise."
Lyn smiles and nods. "Thanks, Mario. I promise, I'll be a better person than I am now. Just you watch."
"What's that smell?"
"It smells delicious!"
Link and Pit appeared in the scene with a happy look in their faces and found Mario and Lyn together.
"So that's where it's coming from." Pit says.
"What's in the box?" Link asks, sniffing the scent.
"Filled Croissants. It's part of our reward for completing the mission." Mario says, opening his box.
Link and Pit's eyes turn into bright stars as drool falls down from their mouths. "Can we try one?"
"Sure!" Mario says, giving Link and Pit one.
As soon as they take a bite, Link and Pit quickly finishes their croissant in an instant that it was gone in half a second.
"Oh boy! That's the stuff!" Pit happily says.
"Can we have another one?" Link asks kindly.
"Sorry, but no can do." Mario replies, closing his box.
"What?! Why not?!" Pit cried.
"I have to give one to other Smashers too. Also need to save more for me since I worked hard for them." Mario says.
"Come on, Mario. Just one more please?" Link asks.
"I said no." Mario says, as he starts running.
"You're not getting away that easily!" Pit says.
"Get him!" Link says.
Lyn watches the three Smashers running around in circles and happily giggles enjoying the scene they're performing. "You three are funny."
