Super Smash Bros Adventures chapter 24
It was a normal day for Smashers. Pit and Zelda are waiting in front of the Smash Mansion, waiting for a special something.
"Do you see anything, Pit?" Zelda asks.
"Not yet. The Mailman should be here soon." Pit replies.
After waiting a little longer, the Mailman arrived at the mansion with a box for Pit and Zelda.
"Please sign your signature." The Mailman gives Pit a pen.
"Uhh…" Pit worried.
"What's wrong?" Zelda asks.
"I uhh… I don't know how to write…" Pit embarrassingly says, with his cheeks blushing.
Zelda let's out a giggle. "Don't worry, I'll sign for us." She takes the pen off of Pit's hand and writes her signature on the paper. "Here you are."
"Thank you, and enjoy your package." The Mailman goes back to his vehicle and leaves the Smash Mansion.
"They're here!" Pit happily cheered.
"After waiting for three weeks, they have finally arrived." Zelda happily says.
Pit opens up the big box they received and takes out two T Shirts. "Ok, let's show our shirts on three."
"Got it." Zelda says.
"One… two… three!" Pit and Zelda show each other their shirts. It's a picture of their faces, but in a cute chibi like form.
"Yours look really cute!" Zelda happily says.
"Yours look cute too! We both have cute shirts." Pit happily says, looking at his own shirt.
Zelda giggles. "I guess we do. We make a great pair, don't we?"
"Heck yeah we do! We should make a team name. How about… the Cutey Pit and Princess Zelda duo?" Pit suggests.
"That name sounds kind of long… What about the Guardian Angels?" Zelda suggests.
"Hmm… But you're not an Angel." Pit says.
"Maybe not, but I do act like one." Zelda says.
"You got yourself a point. I'll have to keep that name in mind." Pit says.
"Oh look at the time. I have to meet up with Peach and Samus. We're going to go to Smash City to do some shopping." Zelda says.
"We should be heading our separate ways then. I'll see you later, Princess Zelda." Pit says.
"No need to be so formal, Pit. Just call me by my name normally like everybody else. You're the only one who formally greet me." Zelda says.
"Oh sorry about that. I guess I'm used to saying that because I always call Lady Palutena formally." Pit says.
Zelda giggles again. "It's ok. If you're comfortable with greeting me like that, then no need to stop. I think it's cute. I'll see you later, Pit."
Pit and Zelda wave bye to each other and went their separate ways. On the way back to his room, Pit started thinking of what Zelda said to her.
"She thinks it's cute that I call her in a formal manner? I wonder what she meant by that. Oh well, at least she's happy about that." Pit thinks to himself.
As he arrived to his room, Pit sees Mario and Link playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch.
"Oh Pit, you just made it in time." Mario says.
"Want to join us?" Link asks.
"You know it. I need to get my revenge on you for taking my victory from last time, Mario." Pit says, putting down his shirt.
"Can't help it since this is my game." Mario says.
"Is that the shirt you ordered?" Link asks.
"Yep! Me and Zelda both got one with our faces on them. Doesn't it look cool?" Pit asks, showing them his shirt.
Mario and Link look at the shirt and held in their laughter of how silly it looks them.
"It looks good." Mario says, giving a thumb up.
"Yeah, you should definitely wear it when Zelda wears hers." Link says.
"Hey… That's a great idea! Ah man, I should tell her when I see her again." Pit says.
Mario looks at Pit with a curious face. "Hmm…"
"What you looking at me like that for?" Pit asks.
"Oh nothing. It's just… never mind." Mario says.
"Come on, tell me." Pit says.
"It's ok, I was just overthinking it." Mario says.
"Ok… Anyways, let's play!" Pit says, picking up a Joy Con Controller.
After playing many rounds of Mario Kart, Mario became victorious once again, winning his tenth game in a row.
"And that's game!" Mario cheered.
"How?! There are times I should've won." Pit wonders.
"You know all the shortcuts and keep getting all of the good items." Link says.
"Are you cheating?" Pit asks suspiciously.
"Nope. Just all skill." Mario replies with a smirk.
"That's enough gaming for me. Let's get out of the room and grab something to snack on." Link suggests.
"Actually, there's something in my mind on what I want to do." Pit says.
"What you thinking?" Mario asks, placing the Joy Cons onto the Switch.
"I want to go on this mission and there's this special reward that I want to give it to Princess Zelda." Pit replies.
"Pit… does that mean…" Link surprisingly says.
"Huh? What do I mean? I mean, I want to get the reward and give it to Princess Zelda as a gift." Pit says again.
"No, Pit. What Link means is… Do you like Zelda?" Mario asks.
"Oh is that it? Of course I like her. She's a really nice and caring friend." Pit answers.
"That's not what I'm… never mind. So what's the mission and reward?" Link asks.
"The mission is help finding someone and the reward, I'm not quite sure what's the reward actually. The post just said it's really special." Pit replies.
"Is that it? Then this shouldn't be a problem." Mario says.
"You must really care about Zelda." Link says.
"I do. She's a good friend of mine." Pit says.
"Then it's settled. Let's go on the mission. After that we can grab a good meal." Mario says.
"Thanks guys. Let's get going." Pit says.

The Smashers arrived at a village for their mission. Everything around seems normal while they look around searching for the person that sent the request, until they found someone that's sitting down on the ground looking depressed.
"Hey buddy, you ok?" Pit asks.
"No, I'm not. Wait… are you the ones that accepted my request?"
"Yep that's us." Mario replies.
"Great timing! The name's Thomas. Thank goodness that you came."
"Explain to us what happened." Link asks.
"It all happened yesterday, me and my girlfriend, Jamie were hanging out together in our usual cafe spot. Then as I left to use the restroom, she just disappeared. I tried searching for her around and ask people who were at the cafe, but all they said is she just disappeared. Nobody went up to her, she just vanished in thin air. I even asked her family and friends if they seen her and no luck. So I looked around none stop and ended up not finding her without any clues." Thomas tells his story.
"She just vanished just like that?" Pit asks.
"Yeah, Jamie didn't leave the store and nobody seen her with anybody. Is there something we can do?" Thomas asks.
"The first thing we can really do is go to the Cafe where it all started. Maybe we need to look deeper on what could've happened." Link replies.
"I don't know if we'll find anything, but it's worth a shot. Follow me." Thomas says.
The Smashers follow Thomas to the cafe and the sweet scent of bakery goods is already falling into the Smash noses.
"Ah… What a lovely scent." Mario says.
"Let's see the menu on what they serve." Pit says.
"Come on guys, we have to be serious. My girlfriend's life might be in danger." Thomas says.
"Sorry about that. We'll get back to that later on." Link says.
"So this is where we sat down yesterday." Thomas says, showing them a table that's in the center of the cafe.
Mario, Link, and Pit looks closely around if they can find anything suspicious.
"Hmm… nothing really for a good clue." Pit says.
Link looks under the table and notices something. "Hey guys, check this out." He places the table upside down and shows them a big black mark. "Does this seem normal?"
"What is this?" Mario asks.
"I'm not quite sure myself. I'll go ask the owner of the cafe." Thomas says. He goes up to the owner of the store and brings her with him. "Do you know anything about this?"
"No, this is the first time I seen this. Everyday after closing, we clean up the tables top to bottom. This wasn't here yesterday." The Owner says.
"Is that so. Do you have any security footage?" Mario asks.
"Yes, follow me." The Owner replies.
The Owner takes them to the back room and shows them footage of what happened yesterday.
"So me and Jamie were just just having a conversation and I left to use the bathroom." Thomas says, looking at the footage.
The footage continues running and after just a few seconds, Jamie suddenly disappeared.
"That's all the footage I got of her. I've been watching for hours and couldn't figure out what happened." The Owner says.
"How about replaying the footage and slow it down." Link suggests.
"I'll see what I can do." The Owner says. She puts the video at the slowest playback speed and they all look closely.
The footage shows Jamie sitting down until something black came out from the table.
"Pause right there." Pit says, as the Owner does what he said. "That's coming from below the table."
"You're right. Like how we saw that black mark from the table." Mario says.
The Owner continues playing the video and it shows Jamie getting surrounded by some black looking energy and disappeared in a blink of an eye.
"Oh my gosh!" The Owner gasps.
"Jamie was taken away by that black thing!" Thomas shockingly says.
"Now that we know how she disappeared, but for what reason." Link wonders.
"Next thing we can try going through the same process again." Mario says.
"Yeah, let's try that." Thomas says.
The Smashers all sat down together at the same spot while Thomas and the Owner stand by from a distance waiting for something to happen.
"Why is nothing happening?" Pit wonders.
"We've been sitting here for about thirty minutes. Shouldn't something happen right now?" Link wonders.
"How about Link and I go to the restroom? You stay here, Pit." Mario suggests.
"What?! I don't want to get taken away by myself!" Pit cried.
"How else are we going to save Jamie? And I really do need to go." Mario says.
Link sighs. "Fine I'll go. We'll be taking our time then."
Mario and Link left the table, leaving Pit by himself.
"Maybe this'll work since there's only one person." Thomas says.
"Hope so. Then we can go after who's responsible." The Owner says.
After fifteen minutes, Mario and Link returns and Pit is still there.
"Why are you still here?" Mario asks.
"That's what I would like to know." Pit replies.
"We're wasting time. There has to be something we're missing." Link says.
Thomas and the Owner go up to the Smashers.
"We have an idea that may work." Thomas says.
The Owner tells the Smashers the plan, and Link didn't really like the idea at all.
"No, no way." Link says.
"Come on, Link. You're the only one that can do it." Mario says.
"If we're going to save Jamie, then you have to go with it." Pit says.
"Please, Link? Just this once for my girlfriend?" Thomas asks kindly.
Link sighs. "Fine. Where do we start?"
Mario and Link went inside the cafe in disguises and act like they haven't been inside. Mario dressed up in a leather jacket, jeans, and shades and Link is dressed up in a blue dress with make up on his face that makes him an attractive girl. They walk up to the table and men stare at Link of how beautiful he looks.
"This is embarrassing… All the guys are staring at me." Link says, looking around.
"That means your disguise work. You really fit your role as a pretty lady well." Mario says, winking.
"Thanks…" Link says.
The Owner goes up to their table and brings them their food. The two Smashers started eating and Mario stops and goes to the restroom. As Mario went inside, he takes a peek through the door.
"Come on, this better work." Mario says.
Link eats his food normally when suddenly, the black mark below the table reacts and surrounds Link with Black Energy. Mario quickly rushes out of the restroom, Pit and Thomas rushes in the cafe and they all grab onto Link and were taken away in a instant.
"Please be careful." The Owner says.

The Smashers and Thomas arrived inside a cave looking area. Around them they see a lot of pretty young girls that are stuck inside Pod Machines.
"Look at all these girls." Pit says.
"They're all asleep." Mario says.
"There must at least be thirty of them." Link counts.
Thomas looks around each Pod and found the one that his girlfriend is stuck in. "Jamie!"
"You found her." Pit says.
"Hey Jamie! Jamie! Darn, she can't hear me. We have to get her out of there." Thomas says.
"Don't worry, leave it to me." Mario jumps up towards Jamie's Pod when suddenly, a man strikes him with a Sword and knocks him down to the ground.
"You're not taking any of these beautiful girls home!"
"That voice… Ike?" Link surprisingly says.
A Dark looking version of Ike appeared before them with an evil looking face staring at them.
"Huh?! Who the heck you guys supposed to be? And how is that beautiful girl not in a Pod yet?" Dark Ike wonders.
"Why is he talking like that?" Pit wonders.
"It's like the mission Lyn and I went to. There were Dark Evil versions of you guys that taken over a village with a group of Bandits. They're the kind that's responsible for that mess." Mario says.
"So this is the exact same thing then. Except, we have to save all of these girls from Ike." Pit says.
"That's right. And be careful, they're really strong like this one." Mario warns.
Dark Ike walks up to Link, who's still in his disguise. "Hey pretty lady. How about you get away from them and go into that nice lovely pod over there. That way you won't lose that beautiful face of yours."
"So that's what these pods are for. You're trying to keep them in there so they won't age. How sickening." Thomas says.
"Sickening? This is the best for all the pretty girls in the world. Once they get older, they'll get uglier and uglier which would be a huge waste. Keeping them in their is a gift so they will stay pretty forever. I'm doing them a good deed." Dark Ike says.
"That's not how the Human World works!" Thomas angrily says.
"Silence! Don't tell me how things work! I take control here. If I want you all gone, then I have my way." Dark Ike angrily says.
"He's not acting like the Ike we know and love." Pit says.
"That's the same reaction I felt when I fought the evil versions of you guys." Mario says.
"Now then… Let's get you into the pod and nobody will get hurt." Dark Ike says, grabbing onto Link's arm.
Link pushes Dark Ike away from him and undresses out of his disguise. "Sorry, but I'm actually a guy."
Dark Ike turns shocked, seeing Link. "You're not a girl?! The way you look, you would've been the prettiest girl here."
Link sighs. "Thanks for the compliment."
"Hey! We have unwelcome guests here!" Ike yelled.
From above, two people appeared and attacks Mario and Pit. Mario and Pit jumps away and get into their fighting stance.
"We have some unwelcome guests here."
"Wish they were female though."
"There's also a Dark Captain Falcon and a Dark Shulk here too." Pit surprisingly says.
"I'll be honest, I thought Captain Falcon would act kind of like this." Mario says.
"Men! Don't let anyone of them leave alive!" Dark Ike ordered.
"Right!" Dark Captain Falcon and Dark Shulk answered.
"Thomas, you leave them to us." Pit says.
"Find a way to save the girls." Mario says.
"I'm on it!" Thomas says.
