Encounter with the Shadow Man Again and Hair?
Sin is seen holding a metal pole that Sol gave him for today's training and standing on one far side of the dojo while Elphelt is on the opponent side with Ramlethal standing next on her left, Sol is looking back and forth between the teens making sure they are ready.
"Okay, today we're gonna be testing out Sin's reaction time to see how fast he move his body by blocking bullets without dodging." Sol said.
"Um, is this really necessary, Mister Badguy. I mean, normal humans wouldn't be able to dodge bullets effortlessly." Elphelt asked worry about hurting Sin.
"That's exactly why we're doing this. We all have to be prepared for whatever situation you might find yourself like if you were to face a Gear that can temporary shut off your powers, leaving yourselves wide open to be kill right on the spot." Sol stated.
"Is there really a Gear like that?" Ramlethal asked.
"That's a good question, I actually met a Gear who had that ability and it was fucking hell that I couldn't use my dragon fire in the fight though it didn't stop me from beating the shit out of the bastard." Sol mentioned.
"Because you were already awesomely stronger than a man." Sin guessed.
"Not exactly from the start, but I did train my body to be the man I am today and thanks to being able to live longer than a human's lifespan got me the time train harder too." Sol explained.
"Just how long do Gears?" Sin asked.
"I'm not sure, when I asked one Gear about it, she said something about being over 500 years old and still in her prime." Sol recalled meeting that female Gear years ago.
"Over 500 years! That's insane!" Sin gasped.
"Actually, now that I think about it, I just remember that I'm a little about 1,000 years old by now." Sol mentioned causing Sin, and the Valentine sisters go pale.
"Huh, you mean to tell me that I can still look pretty and sexy after a thousand years!" Elphelt asked with her eyes somehow sparkling like stars.
"Something like that though your body will still age just at a slower process." Sol said.
"Not, enough of this fucking talk. Let's get started with the training." Sol demanded at his pupils.
Elphelt nods and pick up the white and pink shotgun that Sol gave serving as her new primary weapon which today's training will also serves to help her fight with this one, she aims it right at Sin very steady and focus.
"Sin, are you going to be okay?" Elphelt asked.
"Probably, I mean I have survived worse than a bullet to the head." Sin bragged.
"You have?" Elphelt asked surprise.
"No, not really, I was just saying that to make you feel better about this." Sin confessed.
"I read that it is not good to lie when in a relationship." Ramlethal mentioned.
"Hey, I see lips moving, but I'm not seeing you guys training." Sol yelled.
Not wanting to waste this man's time now, Elphelt fired the first bullet to Sin as the latter is getting himself ready and quickly move his arms to deflect the rubber bullet with the metal pole from his right.
"Whoa, now that was awesome!" Sin amazed.
"With the hellish training like this, you will be able to do what you couldn't dream of." Sol said.
"You mean I can dodge bullets?" Sin asked exciting.
"Dodging, please. When you're ready, you won't have to." Sol smirked.
"Okay, come at me again, sweetie!" Sin called out to Elphelt.
Elphelt nods and started firing a few more bullets as Sin quickly swing the metal pole to smack the rubber bullets away, but after a couple of moments in this training session has cause Elphelt to become really good with the gun as her aiming has almost hit Sin's body. Then two more shots later, she was able to hit him on the left shoulder making Sin stumble back a little.
"(Hmm, looks like little white girl has a hidden talent for shooting.)" Sol thought smiled, believing he made the right choice to give her that gun.
"Sister, it would appear that you are adapting to wielding the weapon faster than most have when training with a gun." Ramlethal pointed out.
"You think so, I'm just doing what Sol told me to do and I'm just shooting to help Sin with the training." Elphelt stated.
"Perhaps, but your skills are suddenly growing within mere minutes today." Ramlethal said.
"Yeah, well, maybe you're getting better at this a little too well." Sin exclaimed as he blocks some more rubber bullets though two more got him on the left side of his torso and his right arm.
"Remember kid, no dodging and no power." Sol reminded him.
Elphelt keeps on shooting more bullets a little faster than before making the deflecting and blocking for Sin more difficult as some of the bullets managed to hit his body, then two shots at the forehead causes him to fall onto his back.
"Okay, that's enough." Sol called the end of the training session.
However, Elphelt didn't hear that as she made one final shot though her aim was too precis when it went right onto the spot between the legs causing Sin to scream in pain and groan.
"Oh, that has got to hurt." Sol whined a bit.
"Oh no, Sin!" Elphelt realized gasp and quickly ran to her boyfriend.
"Sin! Sin, I am so sorry, I guess I just got caught in the moment with the training and I didn't hear Sol either." Elphelt apologized crying a bit.
"Don't worry, I'll just wake it off and be better in no time." Sin said as he struggles to get up.
"You should always keep your guard up even when you've been knocking down and for some reason taking a nap somewhere." Sol scolded.
"By the way, tomorrow you all have the day off. I'm gonna be meeting with an old friend of mine to get his help for making Sin and Ramlethal's weapons since they're almost done." Sol informed.
"I take it you ran out of the materials and parts to finish making them yourselves." Ramlethal guessed.
"Yeah, didn't think I started to run low on them so soon. In any case, just take them some rest tomorrow, but I expect you all to at least keep yourselves in fighting shape by the time I get back because I'll be leveling up your training sessions." Sol said as he walks to his office.
"Of course, you would." Sin groaned as he manages to get on his feet with Elphelt's help.
"So, you feel like hanging out tomorrow?" Sin asked.
"Actually, me and Ramlethal already made plans together tomorrow." Elphelt mentioned.
"Really, where are you too going?" Sin asked.
"I want to show her the dog from the pet store from out last hang out together." Ramlethal answered.
"Oh, finally decided to adopt the little guy now, huh?" Sin grinned.
"Well, I just thought the puppy was getting lonely since no one appeared to be adopting him after checking up on him for some time." Ramlethal explained.
"Well, good for you. Glad to see you're going to get yourself a new friend." Sin smiled and petting Ramlethal's head causing her to blush.
"I was surprised when I followed Ram to the pet shop looking at that little puppy, so I thought about getting him for her." Elphelt giggled.
"Then I wish you all a happy life together." Sin smiled.
(The Next Day)
Sin is seen riding on his skateboard deciding on having a nice stroll around town on his own since his girlfriend and little sister are probably at the pet store right now and performed a 10-foot jump over a small tree and rode down on a stair handle.
"Now that was a good move." Sin complimented himself then he heard his stomach growling a bit.
"Oh, guess it's time to get some lunch." Sin decided as he looks around until he spotted a ramen stand.
"Nice, some tasty ramen to go." Sin smiled and rode off the ramen stand.
However, unknown to Sin is that a certain shadow man is nearby at a café drinking a single cup of tea and with an IPhone at his ear.
"Do not worry, I have gotten you those four Gears I hunted down for your plan." Zato said.
"Yes, these Gears are quite strong though I'm afraid their powers combined are still not enough for the machine to be fully operational which is sad consider Gears are supposed to be mighty and powerful beings, but it looks like not all of them were as powerful as one would be led to believe." Bedman talked fast complained about the plan.
"Right, then I suppose I should go hunt down some more." Zato guessed that much before sipping on his tea.
"It would appear to be the case and from the calculations of these numbers I am reading right now then the number of Gears I need will be about four or five more and make it snappy because the Master does not like to be kept waiting." Bedman mentioned.
"Then I will get you those Gears very soon." Zato proclaimed with a serious expression from his mouth.
"Glad to hear it, now I shall be going with the planning and the preparations to be made with the big day coming closer and hope you don't fail me since you're in it because the Master and I hired you for your power and skills." Bedman bragged fast before hanging up.
"Well, now to see if I can find anymore Gears in this city." Zato said to himself before he spotted a familiar boy with an eyepatch on the other side of the street.
"Oh man, that ramen was really good!" Sin sighed smiling and got back on his skateboard riding off.
"Hmm, perhaps he wouldn't mind one half." Zato grinned before disappearing literally into the shadows.
Sin is riding the board about a few blocks away before heading into the park thinking about taking a quick nap under a tree.
"Man, not going through the training of hell from Uncle Sol sure feels nice once and a while." Sin said to himself as he put the skateboard down and lean his back against a tree.
Sin closes his eyes to begin his nap though a moment later, Zato appears from within the shadow of the tree and shift a blade-like fin.
"Hope you enjoy sleeping forever, little one." Zato grinned and thrust the shadow blade towards the neck.
However, in that instant of a moment, Sin opens his eyes and his black-red lightning spiked into an eight-foot-tall human size explosion that stopped the shadow blade from reaching the neck and shocking Zato inflicting great onto the mysterious shadow man and forcing him to jump back.
"Well, it looks like we meet again, Mister Shadow Man." Sin grinned as he stands up.
"Impressive, you were able to detect my presence despite having your guard down." Zato complimented.
"Who ever says I was taking a nap. I was just told today to always keep your guard up even when you've been knocking down and for some reason taking a nap somewhere." Sin repeated the words Sol said during training.
"I see, then he must have been a wise and strong teacher to have taught you that much." Zato grinned.
"Oh, believe me when I tell you that his training almost kills me every day for the past four months." Sin smirked.
"Well then, let see how those near-death experience has made you stronger than last time." Zato raised his hand making four shadow sharp fins raising from the ground.
(Music: Yasha's Theme, Asura's Wrath)
"How about I show you!" Sin emitted his electric aura around his body and dashed toward the enemy.
Zato reacted fast bringing out a shadow shield blocking an electric punch from Sin, and he immediately jump right before spikes popped out from the shield, Zato wave his arms around sending shadowy waves of blades causing Sin to dodge them. One came close to hitting him as he blocks if with his arm coated in lightning, then did a breakdance leg spin to parry the other shadow blades and jumps onto one tree and jump onto another.
Sin hatched a plan to distract the shadow man even if it's just for a moment as he chomped some branches from some trees and kick them down to Zato, he looks up seeing the falling tree branches coming and simply move out of the way seeing them crash on the ground. And while he's not looking, Sin appeared right behind him a little to the left with an electric punch as he thrust it right on the back sending Zato flying several feet away and about to crash into a tree.
"Oh yeah, how do you like that apple of fist!" Sin cheered.
Despite feeling the pain from that punch, Zato put up a smile and form a shadow dome right in front of the tree he was going to crash into and disappear into the shadow.
"Okay, didn't see him do that?" Sin asked.
"You should be more aware that the shadows are everywhere." Zato appeared from Sin's shadow and uppercut the boy into the air.
Sin groans in pain, but he quickly recovers and threw a swing kick as Zato does the same as their attacks clash pushing each other away.
"Let's hope I can do this move just like in that anime." Sin whispered to himself.
Zato charged throwing some large shadow claws as Sin quickly dodges them and punched one away before getting some distance from his opponent, but the shadow man wouldn't let him go like that and have the shadow beneath him grab his legs holding him in place.
"Now, you have an unexpected appointment with my employer, and I hope he minds a half-human, half-Gear." Zato grinned as he walks closer to Sin.
"Okay, you got me. Can I least ask one question?" Sin requested.
"And what would that be?" Zato wondered what could the boy want to know as he stands about two feet in front of him.
"…Ever got shot by a gun before?" Sin asked with a hidden smirk.
"Umm, I seem to recall some men shooting at him before." Zato remembered some of those times, then he noticed something glowing with electric sounds.
Zato looks down see Sin pointed his finger very close to his stomach with lightning bolt charging up and about to shot.
"Thunder Gun!" Sin fired the electric shot pushing Zato by several feet and electrocuting the man.
However, the pain didn't last long as Zato powered through to remain his strong summoned his shadow powers to get the electric sparks off.
(Music End)
"Damn it, I was hoping that would put you down." Sin said panting a little.
"A good effort, but unfortunately for you that I have survived through worst things from a single man." Zate smirked marching toward him.
"Then how about two against one?" A woman asked.
"That voice." Zato seemed to recognize as he looks up and saw something very thin and very sharp coming at him.
Zato jumps out of the way letting the little sharp objects to hit the ground right in front of Sin.
"Uh, wait… Is this hair?" Sin asked as he picks one up for of them.
"They're stronger than they look, boy." The woman landed a few feet in front of him.
"Millia, never thought I'd see you again." Zato surprised to see a familiar face.
"And it looks like you're doing some dirty jobs again, Zato." The woman now revealed as Millia said.
Millia is a young woman with long lowing blonde hair form into the shape of a large blade, and blue eyes with dark eyelashes. She wears a yellow blouse with black hemlines, complete with a matching pillbox hat that has a sign saying "zl-28" and "13", black leggings, white fingerless gloves and peach colored ballet shoes. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
"Leave the boy be or else I will have to get my hair dirty to force you to leave." Millia threatened as her hair moves pointing at Zato.
"Whoa, is your hair alive or something?" Sin shocked.
"Very well, I suppose I'll get to hunting full-blooded Gears now. Until we meet again." Zato disappeared into the shadows again.
"So, you two have a history or something?" Sin asked curious.
"Used to, boy. Now, I believe you should go home right now." Millia advised as she walks away, and Sin watch her leave.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Well, Sin had a rematch with Zato but he couldn't defeat the shadow man by himself and this time he was saved at the last second by a woman named Millia who seemed to have a connection with Zato though not on good terms.
