part 1:

Fall was right around the corner, leaves were falling and days were getting shorter and shorter in Landsol. The residents there were all getting ready for a fall feast, one last hurrah before most of them would be stuck inside due to the cold weather.

A part of the fall feast was a pumpkin contest. Whoever had the largest pumpkin would win not only a trophy, but money as well. This contest caught the attention of one Misogi.

"I think I'll know what our next guild mission should be!" Misogi stated, slamming the advertisement for the pumpkin contest on the small table she, Mimi, and Kyouka were sitting at.

"A pumpkin contest?" Mimi said, cocking her head to the side.

Misogi nodded. "Not only will we get a trophy if we win, but we'll also get money too!"

"That's great and all, but where are we supposed to find a huge pumpkin, and more importantly, who's going to help us carry it?" Kyouka said.

"Fear not! I know someone who can help us out!"

"Who?" Mimi asked.

"Don't tell me it's who I think it is…" Kyouka said with a groan.

"Yep! guy, aka Yuuki!"

"You can't be serious…"

"I am. Yuuki's helped us out in the past a lot, and he even goes out of his way to play with us. Nothing wrong with asking him for some help."

"Well, where are we even supposed to find him?"

"That's the good thing, it's fairly easy to find Yuuki because he's always around helping other people out."

"That's true… guy helps out lots and lots of people." Mimi said with a smile.

"I suppose we'll have guy help us out then…we better win this thing with his help!"

"Of course we will! Now then, off to recruit Yuuki for this mission!"

Little Lyrical weren't the only one's looking for Yuuki however. Yui was sitting down at a table at the Caon guildhouse with Makoto, the two of them sipping tea.

"So how have things with you been lately Yui?"

"Good. Me and my other guild members have been doing some random missions outside of Landsol."

"Have you seen Yuuki around lately?"

"Well…I hate to admit this but no…" Yui said, looking down at the table.

"I see." Makoto said with a frown. Though Makoto had some feelings for Yuuki herself, she wanted Yui and Yuuki to get together, however, that was easier said than done. That's when Makoto remembered the event that was going on in Landsol.

"Say, I'm not sure if you heard but Landsol is holding a fall feast."

"A fall feast?"

"Yeah, it's one finally celebration before we all have to endure the cold months of winter. Why don't you use this event as an opportunity to spend some time with Yuuki and get close to him."

"I…I don't know Makoto."

"Come on Yui! Don't let this opportunity slip by! Besides, you know how popular Yuuki is with other girls, for all we know one is about to ask him out to the fall feast right now!"

"What?" Yui said, in a panic.

"Come on Yui! There's no time to waste! Go, go, go!" Makoto grabbed Yui by the wrist and pushed her out the door, encouraging Yui to quickly find Yuuki. Yui went on her way as Makoto watched from the doorway of the guild house.

"Man, I hope she can get together with Yuuki for this thing." Makoto said to herself. Makoto knew very well how popular Yuuki was with many girls in Landsol. If Yui didn't act fast, one of the many girls Yuuki had connections with in Landsol would ask him to go to the feast with him.

So, where exactly was Yuuki? Well, luckily for both Little Lyrical and Yui, he was already at the fall festival. Yuuki's guild, the gourmet guild, had been hired to make some dishes for the event, leaving the gang to be busy running around getting supplies for the event in question.

Yuuki was currently in the forest just outside of landsol looking for some fruit to grab. So far, he hadn't run into any monsters that would usually roam the forest, looking to attack anyone who came into their territory.

Yui spotted Yuuki in the forest, putting some fruit into his basket after pulling it off the trees.

"There he is…" Yui said, feeling her heart start to pound. "Come on Yui, you can do this, just go up to him and-"

Yui's train of thought was derailed as the ground beneath her gave way, and she fell into a hole. Yuuki, hearing the commotion, quickly headed over to see what happened.

"Ow…" Yui said, rubbing her back.

"Hey, you OK Yui!" Yuuki said, looking down at Yui from the hole.

"Oh, ! Yeah I'm fine, I just fell into this hole." Yui said. Yuuki put his hand out for Yui to grab. Yui grabbed onto it and climbed her way out of the hole. Luckily for her, it wasn't too deep.

"You OK?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for being concerned about me." Yui said with a smile.

"I think I know who's behind this."

"Hey Mister Yuuki!"

Yuuki turned around to find the trio of Little Lyrical running towards him.

"Hey !"

"Hey Misogi. By any chance have you been digging pit traps as of lately?" Yuuki asked in a serious tone.

"As a matter of fact, yes! Did someone fall in?"

"Yes…my friend Yui here did."

"She was the one behind the pit? That little girl?" Yui thought to herself, surprised that a cute little girl like Misogi could do something so cruel.

"Aw man! I missed it!"

"Misogi! What did I tell you about making pit traps? You're gonna get us in trouble!" Kyouka said angrily.

"I can't help it Kyouka! You know I like to prank people!"

"Say guy, if it's not too much trouble we were wondering if you could help us out." Mimi asked.

"What can I do for you guys?"

"You see, we need your help looking for a huge pumpkin for the fall feast contest. We want to enter the contest and win the money prize, but even if we did find a huge pumpkin, we'd need someone to help us carry it."

"I understand. Right now, I'm a bit busy at the moment as I need to collect some fruit for the feast, however, I think I can spare some time. Plus I know of a great pumpkin patch that might have the pumpkin you guys are looking for."

"Really?" Misogi said. Yuuki nodded.

"This is great! I knew we could count on you !"

"Wow…even though he's busy, Yuuki is going out of his way to help out these 3 girls he knows." Yui thought to herself as she saw Yuuki talking to the girls.

"Hey Yui. Yui?"

Yui snapped out of it and responded back to Yuuki calling her with a yes.

"Would you like to join us?"

"Sure." Yui said with a nod. While it wasn't the one on one date with Yuuki that she was looking for, Yui was still glad to spend time with Yuuki regardless.

part 2:

Yuuki, Little Lyrical, and Yui had teamed up to look for a pumpkin big enough to win the Fall feast contest. The gang was walking through the woods while keeping their eyes out for any monsters that may have been around.

"Don't worry, we should be out of the woods soon." Yuuki said.

"Where are we going anyway?" Kyouka asked.

"We're going up to Elizabeth Park's farm. Last month I spent a whole two days helping them plant Pumpkins for the Fall."

"Wow…you did all that for them?" Mimi said.

"Yep. It was hard work too, plus I had to get up at the crack of dawn."

"Sheesh, my mom and dad can barely get me up for school in the morning. There's no way I'd be able to wake up at the crack of dawn." Misogi added.

"That's probably because you stay up late thinking of pranks to pull on people." Kyouka said.

"Hey, how'd you know?"

"Misogi!"

Yui watched Yuuki talk to the group, trailing behind a bit, but still listening to what they were all talking about.

" , you seem to get along with everyone, from these girls to my own guildmates. Yui thought to herself. "It does make me worry though. I'm sure there's other girls out there in Landsol who have a crush on you because of how nice you are, and how much you do for them. Still…to be able to chat with you and have fun like these girls are…"

Just as Yui was thinking to herself, she got interrupted by Kyouk.

"Hey, Yui!"

"Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Kyouk was it?"

"Yeah. I just wanted to know what your relationship with Yuuki is."

"Relationship?" Yui could feel her heartbeat grow faster as Kyouk said that.

"Yeah, like how did you first meet him?"

"Oh…right." Yui said, calming down a bit.

"Well, I was in the fields one day taking on a monster. I tried my best to defeat it, but my attacks weren't doing much. Just when the monster was about to get me, Yuuki came out of nowhere and shielded me before I could get hurt."

Yui started to play out the events of that day in her head. Yuuki was able to defeat the monster for her, but was badly wounded as a result. This led to Yui healing Yuuki using her powers.

"Ever since that day, he's come and supported me on my mission to grow stronger. He's also helped out my friends Rei, Hiyori, and Makoto."

"I see." Kyouk said. "I met Yuuki when I was lost. He came up and asked if I needed help. I was a bit scared at first because he was a stranger, but then he gave me a map and later helped me fight a monster."

"Yeah, that sounds like Yuuki alright. He's always helping people out." Yui said with a smile.

"It still seems kind of suspicious to me…" Kyouk thought. "Especially when the people he helps out are mostly girls…"

The gang climbed a mountain before finally reaching the farm in question.

"Well, we're here." Yuuki said.

"Wow look! Pumpkins!" Mimi said, pointing out the pumpkin patch that stood in the field.

"You grew all of this?" Misogi asked.

"With some help of course."

"Wow, I may need to hire you to dig pitfalls and other traps for me."

"I think I'll pass on that offer."

The gang started to look at the pumpkins, seeing which ones would be big enough to win the contest. Luckily for Little Lyrical, the field hadn't been infiltrated by other people who were looking for a pumpkin to win the contest.

That being said though, there didn't seem to be that many big pumpkins, at least not to Misogi's liking.

"Nothing against Elizabeth park but the pumpkins they planted aren't very big."

"How big do you want the pumpkins to be?" Kyouk chimed in.

"Bigger than the farm house." Misogi said, pointing to the Elizabeth park guild house.

"I don't think we're going to find a pumpkin that big…" Kyouk said.

"Well we at least could try to find one that size! Imagine the look on everyone's face when we go to the festival and bring in a giant pumpkin!"

"I hate to break it to you Misogi but that's not happening. Now come on, Yuuki was kind enough to take us to this Pumpkin patch when he was busy helping his guild out with the festival, the least we could do is find a pumpkin quickly so he could get back to work."

"This pumpkin looks pretty big." Yui called over to Misogi. The Pumpkin in question was half the size of Misogi.

"Wow! That thing is huge!"

"I'll say. It's bigger than all of us, and probably weighs more than us too…"

"This is it! This has to be the pumpkin that earns us that trophy, and the money!" Misogi said, jumping up and down excitedly.

"Now the question is how do we get it to the festival." Mimi said.

"Hmm, that's a good question. I could carry it." Yuuki said.

"Wouldn't it be easier for us to just put it on a wagon and pull it?"

"Good point Yui. I'm not sure if Elizabeth Park has any wagons around though."

"They should, they are a farm after all. I'd imagine they'd have to have some sort of wagon or thing on wheels that we could use to carry this thing." Kyouk added.

"Will Elizabeth park be alright if we borrow a wagon though?" Mimi asked.

"They should. They told me before that if I needed any farm equipment my guild is welcome to borrow some anytime, just as long as I return it."

After doing some looking around, Yuuki and co were able to find a wagon that sat just outside of one of the barns. With the help of Yui, Yuuki was able to pick up the pumpkin and place it in the wagon.

"There, now we can head to the festival."

As the gang were about to however, a group of goblins showed up on the farm. The group came from the woods and started marching their way towards Yuuki and co.

"Stupid Goblins! Go away! We're trying to take this pumpkin to the festival." Kyouk said angrily.

"Yuuki, power us up!" Yui said. Yuuki did so, and a yellow glow surrounded Yui, Kyouk, Misogi, and Mimi. Misogi threw smoke bombs at the goblins, causing them to be unable to see. While she did that, Kyouk started blasting the goblins with water, while Yuuki and Mimi both slayed some of them.

It didn't take too long for the gang to finish off the goblins.

"Well, that wasn't so bad…" Yuuki said, whipping the sweat from his forehead.

"Uh Yuuki?"

"Yes Yui?"

"Where did the pumpkin go?"

The gang turned around to see that the pumpkin and the wagon it was in was gone. Off in the distance, the gang could see two shielder goblins running away with the pumpkin and the wagon.

"Hey! Bring that back here you jerks!" Misogi shouted angrily.

"Man…after all that hard work…" Mimi said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"We're gonna have to go after them guys." Yuuki said in a stern tone.

"So we can get our pumpkin back right?" Mimi asked.

"That, and where the goblins are headed...is in the direction the festival is in!"

"That's awful!" Mimi said.

"If we don't stop those goblins, not only will they have ruined our chances at winning the pumpkin contest, but they'll also ruin the festival itself!"

"There's no time to waste guys! Let's go after them!" Yuuki said, before running off with the others following behind.

part 3:

Back in Landsol, Kyaru sat on a box waiting, tapping her foot impatiently. She had ordered Yuuki to go and fetch some fruit for one of the dishes the guild was making over an hour ago, and he still wasn't back.

"What's the hold up Yuuki? You should be back here by now!" she angrily said to herself.

"What seems to be the matter Kyaru?" Kokkoro said, walking up to her.

"I asked Yuuki to get a bunch of fruit for us an hour ago, and he's still not back."

"I can see how troubling that is. However, I have faith in my lord, I'm sure the reason for his absence is because he's out collecting as much fruit as he can get."

"Yuuki better show up here with enough fruit for us to last the winter then…" Kyaru grumbled.

The reason for Yuuki's absence wasn't because of that however. Yuuki, Yui, and the 3 girls from Little Lyrical were all chasing down the two goblins that had their pumpkin they had just found from the farm.

"We're almost caught up to them…" Yuuki said. Suddenly, the two goblins disappeared under ground, as the ground before them gave way, taking them and the wagon with the pumpkin under.

"What happened?" Yui said.

"It must have been because of one of my pitfall traps!" Misogi said. Everyone rushed over to see the goblins in question taken out in the hole, disappearing as they had been defeated.

"I hate to admit it, but it looks like some good came out of one of your pitfall traps." Kyouka said.

"See! I do them for a reason! Not only do they make a good prank, in case we ever find ourselves in a situation where monsters are chasing us or stealing our stuff, they can fall right into the trap!"

"Do I even want to know how many of these you dug outside of Landsol?" Yuuki asked with concern in his voice.

"I'll be honest, I lost count at 20." Misogi said.

Just then, the gang heard a low rumbling sound.

"What was that?" Yuuki asked.

"I really hope it was someone's stomach…" Yui said with concern in her voice. It wasn't that though…

Out from the pitfall came the pumpkin that the gang had gotten from the farm, now much bigger than before, and with a viscous looking Jack-O-Lantern face on it. The pumpkin also had tentacles in the forum of roots that helped it climb out of the pitfall.

"It just couldn't be that easy could it…" Yuuki said, grabbing his sword.

"Wow! Look at how big our pumpkin is!"

"Misogi! Is that really what you're focused on? That thing is alive and going to eat us all!"

"Oh right…good point Kyouka."

"Not if I have anything to say about it…" Yuuki said. Yuuki went in to try and attack the pumpkin, but got hit by one of its root tentacles, sending him flying back.

" !" Yui said, going over to Yuuki. "Are you OK?"

Before Yuuki could answer, the pumpkin wrapped one of it's tentacles around Yui's ankle, and picked her up.

"AHHHH!"

"Hey, you let her go!"

Before the pumpkin could harm Yui, Yuuki slashed one of its tentacles, causing the monster to let out a growl in pain. Yuuki then caught Yui before she could hit the ground.

"You OK?"

"Y-y-yeah, I'm fine." Yui said.

Though she was flustered, it was more so because of the fact that she was in Yuuki's arms than because she was attacked by a giant pumpkin. While Yuuki set Yui down, the trio of Little Lyrical kept the monster distracted, with Mimi cutting the root tentacles off the monster, and Misogi blinding it with her ink bombs.

"No matter what we do, its roots keep growing back…" Kyouka said.

"Maybe we should attack the evil pumpkins body then?" MImi said.

"But if we do that, we'll damage the pumpkin!" Misogi said in protest.

"Misogi! The pumpkin is a lost cause! Plus if we bring that thing to our festival as is, it will attack the citizens!"

"You're right…" Misogi said with a sigh. " guy, if you would…"

"I'm on it…"

Yuuki powered up everyone, giving them more strength to defeat the pumpkin. Kyouki threw ice shards at it, taking out its tentacles once more and damaging some of the pumpkins main body. Misogi blasted the pumpkin with her bombs, and Yuuki and Mimi attacked the main body of the pumpkin.

While they did all that, Yui healed anybody who needed it.

"Come on guys, we got this!" Yuuki said to everyone. As he did however, he found a pumpkin root tentacle wrapped around his ankle. Before Yuuki could cut it off of him, the tentacle quickly picked him up. As it did, Yuuki dropped his sword.

" !" Yui shouted.

It was too late for anyone to do anything, the pumpkin monster had swallowed Yuuki whole, leaving his body trapped in this thing.

"Yuuki!" Misogi and Kyouki said in shock.

"Oh no! The pumpkin monster swallowed him…"

" guy…" Misogi said with tears in her eyes. Standing back and watching all of this was Mimi. Instead of crying like the others, she gripped her sword tighter and decided to take matters into her own hands. Still powered up by Yuuki, Mimi jumped high into the sky, just above the pumpkin.

"Let guy go now!" she said, as she dived down with her sword right onto the pumpkin. Mimi had slashed the pumpkin right into two as she went down. The pumpkin let out a screech in pain, before it was split into two.

"Wow…Mimi, that was amazing!" Misogi commented. Mimi didn't hear her though, as she went inside the body of the pumpkin to find Yuuki.

" ! Where are you?"

Yuuki rose up from a pile of pumpkin guts and seeds. "I'm right here."

Mimi quickly ran over to hug Yuuki, followed by the rest of Little Lyrical.

"Thank goodness you're ok!" Misogi said, crying. "W-we were so worried."

Yui looked back at the trio hugging Yuuki and smiled.

"I'm glad you're ok …" she said to herself.

After Yuuki had gotten the orange pumpkin goop off of him, he, Yui, and Little Lyrical gathered around to figure out what to do next.

"I guess the pumpkin contest is out now huh?" Misogi said.

"I'm afraid so. That said, however, you guys can still participate in the festival. I'm sure there'll be plenty for you to do there."

"Say , didn't you mention that you had to do something for your guild?"

"Oh shoot you're right! I had to collect fruit for my guild!"

"Say Yuuki, if it's alright, why don't we all help you out?" Kyouki said.

"You wouldn't mind?"

"Of course not! It's the least we can do for you after everything, plus the wagon is still intact after that whole battle with the pumpkin."

Yuuki agreed to allow Little Lyrical and Yui help him out collect fruit for the festival, and without a second to lose, the gang headed to the forest once more to collect it.

Back at the festival, Kyaru was still waiting alongside Pecorine and Kokkoro.

"You think he got lost?" Pecorine asked.

"Maybe my lord got attacked by monsters?"

"We should probably go look for him, what do you say Kyaru?"

Just as Kyaru was going to answer, Yuuki called out to his guildmates, carrying a wagon full of fruit alongside Little Lyrical and Yui.

"My lord, you're back!"

"Sorry for the wait guys. I wanted to get as much fruit as I could get."

"Well, you certainly got a lot of fruit there." Kyaru said. She wanted to yell at Yuuki but indeed he had gone out of his way to get enough fruit to last the guild all winter, assuming Pecorine didn't eat it all of course.

"Thanks again for the help you guys." Yuuki said.

"No problem guy!" Mimi said to Yuuki.

"You got Little Lyrical and Yui to help you out my lord?"

"I sort of bumped into them in the forest." Yuuki said, not wanting to tell Kokkoro about the incident with the pumpkin.

While Little Lyrical weren't able to enter the pumpkin contest, they still had a great time at the festival. Likewise, while Yui wasn't able to hang out with Yuuki solo, she still had a great time spending time with him and Little Lyrical, while also fighting alongside him.

"One day I'll be able to tell him I love him…" she said to herself. "One day soon…"
