Present Day
Outside of St. Petersburg, Russia
Inside an abandoned barn
Abbey finished recounting her story and looked at Gibbs. His expression, like normal, gave nothing away.
"Why do you think we got burned?" She asked him desperately wanting to know his thoughts on the situation.
"I don't know." He answered and glanced over at her. "But we're sure as hell going to find out."
Abbey's brow scrunched in frustration. "How are we ever going to get out of Russia? We can't exactly buy to plane tickets with no money and my passport is still in the apartment."
Gibbs chuckled slightly. "Don't know that either." He slung his arm around her shoulders. "Get some rest. It's late. I'll keep watch."
She shook her head. "No way Gibbs. I…"
He interrupted her before she could finish. "Stop being so stubborn and sleep."
Abbey glanced at him. She knew it would do her no good to argue. Putting her head back against the wall she closed her eyes. All of her weariness hit her at once and she felt herself losing grip on consciousness fast. Gibbs pulled her closer to him. Too tired to fight back she let her head fall to his shoulder and fell asleep thinking about the first conversation they ever had.
