Present Day

?

She was going to throw up. Despite her entire body screaming, Abbey managed to lift her head off the floor before she heaved.

"You're alive." Gibbs said from somewhere behind her.

Abbey managed to scoot a couple of feet before collapsing against the wall. She looked at Gibbs and tried to smile, but it came out as more of a grimace.

"Are you sure I'm not dead?" She joked. A half hearted laugh made her side burn. Abbey went to grab it, but remembered her hands were still cuffed behind her.

"Stop moving or you're going to make it worse." Warned Gibbs.

"Hell to that. We need to get out of here before they come back."

"How do you plan on doing that" He asked.

Abbey looked around the room. Her head turned too fast and she felt a new wave of nausea hit her, but she started to smile. There in the corner lay a key. A key that must have fallen out of Dimitri's pocket when he was beating the life out of her.

"Like this." She slowly rose to her knees and shuffled to where the key sat. Abbey turned her back on the precious object and grabbed it. This wasn't even close to the first time she had gotten out of a pair of cuffs, so it only took a few seconds of fishing for the key hole before she heard a familiar pop and felt the release.

Her shoulders where stiff and one hung awkwardly on her side, it was definitely dislocated. She could easily pop it back in, but she was wasting precious time. Abbey stood and the world spun around her. Steadying herself on the wall, she got her bearings and made her way to Gibbs. She clenched her teeth in pain as she bent down and took the cuffs off of his ankles then stood back up to release his wrists.

He stood up and immediately looked Abbey over seeing how badly she was injured. Abbey was obviously uncomfortable with the scrutiny and shifted painfully. She walked away from him and over to the brick wall that she was thrown against before. In a calculated action she shoved her dislocated shoulder against it and heard it pop back into place.

Gibbs shook his head at the action. "Are you alright?" He knew that she wasn't even close to alright, but he needed to know if she was ok to run.

"Yeah, let's go."

The door to the room was unlocked. No one expected them to be able to escape those cuffs. Viktor was going to be pissed when he found out what happened.

Gibbs exited first and Abbey followed. They were funneled out into a hallway with a few other doors. Voices could be heard from the right. Neither of them was eager to see anyone so they turned left. After trying a few locked doors Gibbs tried a handle that turned and swung open into a familiar empty warehouse.

"Right back where we started." Abbey uttered.

"Least we know where we are." Gibbs answered. "Come on." He ushered her to the exit. Right before they stepped out into the night a loud voice shouted back in the hallway.

"Shit!" Someone yelled.

"Go, go." Gibbs hurried Abbey out of the door and closed it quietly behind them.

Headlights barreled down the deserted street and Abbey turned away as the light made her head hurt more. Before she could recognize what the vehicle was Gibbs had stuck his arm out and it was pulling over.

"A taxi?" She questioned.

Gibbs opened the back door. "You're in no condition to go very far on foot unless you want to get caught."

Instead of arguing, Abbey sat down in the taxi and scooted over making room for Gibbs. He climbed in, shut the door, and leaned forward speaking to the driver. Suddenly they shot off like a bullet.

Abbey grabbed her stomach and begged herself not to throw up. Gibbs put a hand on her knee and looked at her.

"Where are we going?" She whispered.

He leaned a little closer to her to make sure they weren't overheard. The car passed under a streetlight and she saw the bruise that was forming around one of his eyes from where Dimitri hit him.

"Airport." Was all he said.

A confused look passed over Abbey's face. "And how do you think we're going to get on a plane?"

A smile appeared on Gibbs' face. "Oh… I have an idea."
