Venturing Into the Arcverse

Jordan: Hmm, I could do the whole episode hmm, I'll see about it. Crystal Bearers? What is that? And I heard of That Time I reincarnated as a Slime but never got a chance to see it. Maybe I should now.

Ch. 10: Intermission

The original group, bar Sun and Neptune, plus Penny had entered the game room. They wanted to see what games that were there while also talking about the universes they saw so far.

"I have to say, these other universes are interesting to watch," Weiss said, "We are able to see worlds not like our own and universes where our decisions can impact how our lives would've unfolded."

"Even when they focus on Jaune?" Yang asks teasingly. Weiss sighs as she answers:

"Yes, even when they focus on Jaune."

"The universes were so awesome," Ruby exclaims, but just as quickly lost that enthusiasm "Well...not all of them..." The others knew the ones she meant. Those weren't not fun but knew they will see more like them in the future. A hand was placed on Ruby's shoulder, which caused her to look and see Penny.

"I'm sure Friend Jaune won't do those terrible things. As long as he has us, his friends, he'll be fine." Penny said with her usual pep.

"Yes, we all will be by his side to help him." Pyrrha agrees. Ruby looks to them, then the others before smiling.

"Yeah, I'm just being silly." she said.

"Come on, let's pick a game!" Nora said, brightly. She rushed over to a random shelf and picked up a board game at random.

"What game did you pick up?" Yang asks.

"Hmm, I'm not quite sure...it's a game called 'Monopoly'." Nora answers.

"Not a game I'm familiar with." Blake said.

"Nor I." Ren said as Pyrrha nods in agreement.

"Well get out the rulebook and let's get to playing." Ruby states. With that, the right sat at a table to play the game. Elsewhere, the Inner Circle is convening in Ozpin's room.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Ozpin." James said.

"I see your concern, James, I really do. But we are viewing universes not our own, and she has been mentioned twice." Ozpin responds.

"So, we just come clean about Salem?"

"Yes. We were lucky none of the students, Specialist Schnee or others asked any questions," Ozpin took a sip from his mug, "And that brings me to Qrow. How much do Taiyang know?"

"Nothing more than what you told him before he decided to not be a full time Huntsman," Qrow answers, "Ever since, I didn't tell him anything...especially after what happened to Summer." Glynda's expression became downcast as Ozpin's became remorseful. James never met Summer Rose, only hearing rumors of her, yet those rumors made him want to meet her himself. Yet he will never get the chance to. Qrow looked up to Ozpin and continued:

"Please Oz...tell me you didn't send Summer on a fool's mission on her own. Tell me you didn't send her to her death." Ozpin sighs deeply before responding:

"I wish I could say yes, I did. Then at least you and Taiyang could let out your rage against me. But...I didn't know her decision till it was too late." Qrow took a deep breath, and let it go. He brought a hand up to his lowered head and covered his eyes. Glynda rests a hand on his shoulder in support as Ozpin continued:

"And there is something I need to tell."

"What is it?" Glynda asks.

"Later, during the next intermission. I want everyone to hear." The group nods, knowing who he meant. They then began talking about how to prevent future infiltrations. Taiyang had entered the library to read for the time being. He's not much of a reader, but with his daughters hanging with their friends and Qrow meeting with Ozpin, might as well. It was here he came across someone he thought he'll never see again till this place...and hoped to talk with much later.

"Raven...?" Taiyang mutters.

"Tai." Raven said, holding a book. Vernal was standing a few feet from Raven, reading her own book. Yet one can tell her attention is on the meeting.

"I never took you as a book person." Tai said.

"Funny. I can say the same thing about you." Raven responds. A silence fell between the two after that brief exchange. Both knew the topic that is needed to be discussed, but neither wanting to be the one to breach it. And in Taiyang's case, felt Yang needed to be here for this. Raven chose to be the one to start it as she said:

"I'm sure you want to know why I left."

"I believe both Yang and I needs to know." Taiyang responds. Raven's expression twitched at Yang's name but remained unchanged. She said:

"I have my reasons of why I left...reasons you wouldn't understand."

"Really? Are they truly reasons I wouldn't understand or is it simply you are preferring your bandit life over us?" Taiyang asks, expression serious. At that, Raven looks off which hid the hurt in her eyes. Shaking her head, she placed the book in her hand down and left out with Vernal following behind. Taiyang sighs, running a hand through his hair. He left the library, no longer wanting to read. In the common room sat Coco, Velvet, Sun and Neptune.

"So, how you two meet Team RWBY and JNPR?" Coco asks.

"Well, I met them when Sun brought me to meet them during their food fight." Neptune answers,

"Still sucks we didn't get to join."

"Wish we did too," Sun said "Anyway, the food fight is when I first met Team JNPR. I met Team RWBY after I just arrived to Vale."

"After being found out you were a stowaway." Neptune pointed out.

"Details, details. How about you two? I know you all go to Beacon, but what lead you to interact with them."

"Actually, it's Bun-Bun's friendship with Jaune that lead us to hanging with them," Coco answers, "They both had been bullied by Cardin. But whatever happened with Jaune, Cardin stopped his bullying all together. That doesn't mean I forgive him."

"Again, let it drop," Velvet said, "You don't have to like him, but do forgive him."

"I'll try Bun-Bun, but only if you promise to do what you fantasize in your sleep and ride Jaune's "Arc" like a horny rabbit that you are."

"COCO!" Coco, Sun and Neptune laughed as Velvet covered her eyes with her ears embarrassed she was sleep talking while the scene changed. Walking through the hallways was Cinder, Emerald and Mercury.

"We need to take those students out before they become part of the equation." Cinder states.

"It's going to be a lot harder now they know we're not on their side." Emerald said

"Maybe, but we still have the advantage over them. We just have to alter our plans once we return."

"Understood."

"And your thoughts about all this?" Mercury asks, gesturing to their surroundings.

"I'm not sure what our hosts goal is, but it is best to play along for now." Mercury nods till he noticed something. It was a door with a bunch of yellow keep out tape on it. On the door was a sign that said 'NTR'. Wondering what it meant and what's on the other side, he reached and grabbed the handle. Unfortunately for him, it zapped him strongly.

"Gaaah!?" Mercury yells in pain. He was launched back and slammed into the wall. This surprised Cinder and Emerald, who fought the urge to check if he is alright. After a moment, Mercury stood up wobbly as he said:

"Okay...don't touch that door again..."

"I wonder what's in that room." Emerald said, subtly moving away from a door that read 'Con-Cuckold' with a so-so hand sign.

"We can just ask the hosts when we return." Cinder said. With that thought, the trio walked off. Winter is heading to meet up with the general after taking a shower. She just finished tying up her hair in its usual style as she ran into two others having a conversation.

"Oh hello," Kali greets, "You're returning to the theater?"

"Oh no, I'm going to meet with the general." Winter answers.

"Oh, then don't let us keep you." Ghira said.

"Thank you..." The Belladonnas walked pass Winter and continued their conversation. Yet Winter didn't keep walking. Like General Ironwood, she knew of the Belladonna's leadership of the White Fang in the past. And it surprised her that she didn't feel passive hostility from them. She normally gets that feeling when meeting a Faunus for the first time. It's because of this she had to ask:

"Do you agree with how the current White Fang operates?" Ghira and Kali stopped but didn't turn around. If they did, Winter would've seen their downcast expression. Ghira then answers:

"I do hope for a better future for Faunus kind where there is no discrimination and hate. But I do not condone Sienna's methods...nor Adam's. Our goals may be the same, but our paths on how to reach said goal is too different."

"I see, I believe I understand." Winter said.

"We know you don't agree with them as well, but don't judge them too harshly." Kali said, looking back with a serene smile. With that, the Belladonna Patriarch and Matriarch continued their way. Winter pondered on what they said and decided to bring it up with General Ironwood. In the training room was the three White Fang members. They are currently working out for the time being.

"Adam." Sienna said, jogging on a treadmill. Adam is currently doing some bench presses when he responds:

"What is it?"

"Is there some truth to that universe? If so, what is your relationship with those villains?" Ilia, who was doing some yoga, looks up to listen. Adam did a few more reps before setting the bar down. He sat up wiping his face with a towel, removing his mask to do so. He then answers:

"The one in the red dress and the two beside her had arrived at the camp I was in charge of twice. The first time they arrived, I turned them away as I had no interest in helping them with their cause. The second time, however, was a different story altogether."

"What do you mean?" Ilia asks. Adam put on his mask again as he continued:

"They returned with money and dust, but that wouldn't be enough to change my mind. But what did is the one in the red dress had revealed a power she didn't have before. And she threatened to annihilate the White Fang if I refused. I'm confident I could fight my way out, possibly taking them down as well. But I wasn't so sure about my underlings, my comrades-in-arms. I wasn't going to risk their lives, so I agreed to help them."

"I see, and you had no idea if they had knowledge of other White Fang bases. They practically put you in a lose-lose situation." Sienna concludes.

"Yeah."

"Hmm...well for now, we'll play their game. We may see a future of how that decision affects us. If it's beneficial, we continue the "partnership". If not, we cut ties with them and show them why they shouldn't play us for fools."

"Roger that." Adam and Ilia agreed. Elsewhere, Roman and Neo had found a fancy bar. Not wasting time, Roman pour himself a glass of fine wine. Neo had found a cooler that was filled with all kinds of ice-cream, much to her delight.

"Well Neo, this whole thing isn't so bad," Roman said, holding up his glass of wine. Neo nods as she ate a bucket of Orange Sherbert. Roman continued, "We need to figure out our course of action." Neo tilts her head confused. She signed:

"Course of action?"

"Yes. I feel this is our chance to get away from Fiery Bitch and her lot. This place already revealed their alignment, meaning they will have their hands full with Little Red and her friends. We can use that to our advantage and escape."

"But why? They will be fighting one another to worry about us."

"And if Little Red team wins, we're next. If Fiery Bitch team wins, we're stuck following her orders. We just need to be ready when worst comes to worst." Neo nods as she will use her Semblance at a moment's notice. She will protect her Dum-Dum. With that plan filed for later, the duo continued enjoying their drinks and treats. Saphron and Terra are in their room. They had just placed Adrain to sleep in his crib.

"I didn't think we would have a vacation quite like this, but it is welcomed." Terra said.

"Yeah." Saphron said, absentmindedly. Terra noticed and went over to sit next to her wife.

"Hey, what's the matter?"

"It's nothing."

"Saph."

"...I guess I feel overwhelmed. Even if it's not a lot, it's still surprising to see Jaune have such importance to the universes. If only mom and dad could see it." Saphron lays back onto the bed. Terra lays back with her and said:

"Maybe they will see him. Maybe not here but in our home when Jaune reaches his potential."

"...Yeah, you're probably right." Soon the P.A sounded as Draco announced:

"The intermission is coming to a close. Please make your way back to the theater."

"Guess it's time to watch more Jaune videos." Saphron said sitting up.

"Yes," Terra agrees, "But I don't want to wake up Adrain though." As she stood, a note appeared in front of her. Surprised, she took it and read it.

"What does it say?" Saphron asks.

"Draco said we can let Adrain sleep, he'll teleport him to us once he wakes. Just make sure we close the door behind us."

"Oh, that will be nice later on. In that case, let's head on back." The couple then left back to the theater, closing the door behind them.

Draco711: And here is the first intermission chapter. I swear, the intermission chapters are going to be worse than the reaction chapters. Hmm, oh well, nothing to do about that but just do it. The next reaction chapter will be either the first return visit to a universe or the universe I been planning on doing for ages: the rate M universe. I have some ideas but if you know of a Jaune lemon story, particularly a one-shot, then let me know.
